Also, here is the bit where it is stated what Emma's "most precious thing" is.
Tumblr media
Regarding Norman, I think whether he is an experiment or Ratri clone, the important bit is that he can't qualify as cattle. If he did, then according to the promise of giving the best harvest to demon!God, he would have had to have been served at tifari.
When Geelan speculates that his blood tastes like tifari material, he doesn't know what the royal family's and Peter's plans were for Norman.
Tumblr media
We know that the royals must serve the best meal to demon!God, and they had control over Norman last tifari, so if he wasn’t served despite Ray and Emma being lost, then he was never intended to be eaten...
Which is good news to the theory of him being an important Ratri experiment.
Emma's reward for demon!God
I was away for the weekend, then work got really busy, so I haven't been able to answer asks, but I will be able to pick back up on that tomorrow!
I just quickly wanted to theorize on what Emma may have to sacrifice for her promise before spoilers are out!
Tumblr media
So it seems like that the importance of there being 2 separate promises was in the rules about making a promise with demon!God.
Since no promise made that way can be overwritten or changed, it was important that the wording was only to split the two worlds in two, and not who lives where or hunts where.
This way, Emma was able to make this new promise without conflict:
Tumblr media
Now, I still have major concerns about Emma's wording. Is she deliberately excluding all the adults like Mama's and Ratris? Or is this a genuine mistake? It seems odd that she wouldn't think of it, but I didn't think she was this vindictive...
The wording could potentially exclude all the lambda kids, and the official translation could even be taken to exclude anyone who has escaped from the farms as well.
It is possible that the two of them clarifies these things off panel, but I still think it would make a lot of sense and great drama if Norman was excluded without Emma realizing...
After all in the first arc, Norman had to leave, so it would be an interesting parallel if he know was separated by being left behind...
Either case, it is interesting to speculate what demon!God will ask for in return:
Tumblr media
If we look at what was asked at the previous promise; it fits pretty well. Yverik and the royals wanted to keep the best meat for themselves, but they were forced to give up the top quality meal they harvested every year:
Tumblr media
What Julius wanted the most was actually peace for himself and his clan, even if other people had to be sacrificed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He just wanted the suffering of his people and himself to stop, yet the only people who truly gained peace were not him or his clan, but the rest of humanity staying in the human world.
Julius and the Ratris could never have peace, that was the thing that he wanted the most, but it was still taken from him.
Tumblr media
Thinking about what Emma wants the most... I guess she wants all of her family to be safe, happy and together.
I guess it might be an interesting sacrifice for her if she had to stay behind in the demon world while everyone else could go to the human world.
Now if Norman has to stay as well due to being a Ratri/experiment etc, that could be fun too! 😎
I am still mildly confused about whether Mujika meant the "There is more than one promises" for this, or if there is another promise as well the kids are not aware of. Ot doesn't seem like Mujika would think it is that important that Julius made these promises separately?
Also, while there is no direct confirmation yet, I think the new info still supports the underwater theory.
It is stated that the worlds were divided by demon!God, so a magical explanation on how the demon world works underwater could work well. Also, the panels from demon!God really seem to show an ocean surface with islands on it...

Chapter 142 Spoilers
Tumblr media
NOOOOOOOO
EMMA WHY?! HOW COULD YOU USE THAT WORDING?!?!!!?!!! WHYYYYYY!!!!
Guys, you know who that wording of children raised for food definitely excludes?
THE RATRI CLAN
And if my theory is right that Norman is a Ratri genetic experiment, never intended to be a demon meal...
NORMAN WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!!!!!!!
Also, Zazie is almost certainly excluded as well since he was born in lambda as an experiment, and Ayshe is also definitely excluded since she was raised by a loving demon who didn't want to eat her, and Vincent, Barbara and Cislo could also be excluded if they were raised for experiments, as well as possibly Adam and all of those clones...
Omg, now I don't even care about the reward just about how Emma could have condemned the Ratris to be left behind...
And Norman... noooo... I mean this will be great angst... but... but.... NORMAN NOOOOOOO
Don't leave Norman behind!!!!!
Tumblr media
GAAAAAH THIS IS THE FRIGGIN ESCAPE ARC ALL OVER AGAIN BUT THIS TIME NORMAN IS LEFT BEHIND INSTEAD OF LEAVING AND EMMA HAS CAUSED HERSELF
💔💔💔💔💔💔😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭

Damn, it really seems like Norman is trying to use human pawns(those 'adams') to corner Sonju and Mujika - I really doubt the two demons would be able to get away without killing/hurting some of them, which in turn would make killing Sonju "justified" and detaining Mujika a lot less troublesome. (norman my boy i want to believe in you but you're making it real difficult rn 😭😭)
Okay, so let me explain why I don't think Norman intends to sacrifice the clones
I know that many people have assumed once we saw Norman march to war with a clone army, that his plan to wage a bloodless war against demons was to use these seemingly mindless clones as cannon fodder.
We have seen the same thing happen in many forms of media, like Star Wars, where countless clones are sacrificed in the war.
Tumblr media
But I think that assumption is entirely wrong here. Shirai-san likes to trick the readers into assumptions like these, but I think the facts actively disprove it.
Based on what we know about Norman's plans, he doesn't want to sacrifice ANY humans, clones or not. He clearly states that his plan is to have demons fight demons:
Tumblr media
We know that Gilan is only one part of Norman's plan, he hasn't revealed his full plan to us yet.
So I think there is another way in which he intends to make demons fight demons, and the key to that I believe is the mystery drug/chemical that we saw Vincent complete.
Tumblr media
Again, we are not told what this chemical is, we only see Vincent experiment, and feed food infused with it to a rat-like demon. We know that this experiment is based off of a theoretical idea that Norman came up with, and that Norman is not only extremly intelligent, but has in-depth studied demon physiology and genetics on the lambda guards.
Tumblr media
We are specifically not shown what happens to the rat-like demon, but lots of people have assumed that it may be a poison. After all it makes sense to try to assassinate the royals with poison, and we know from Norman that a weakness of demons is their genetic code's proneness to instability.
Based off that, it should be relatively easy to make a chemical that increases the instability and destroys them...
However, just a poison isn't very effective to handle whole armies of demons, and it won't achieve the goal of making them fight each other. There is however something that we have observed demons do:
Demons sometimes eat each other.
We have seen intelligent demons choose to do it, but in unintelligent, animalistic demons it appears to be triggered automatically, by some chemical reaction perhaps, like hormones released?
Tumblr media
So the thing is, what if that drug that Vincent completed makes demons fight other demons? That seems like a lot more effective way of handling a war against demons where the goal is to avoid human casualties.
I think the clone fighters are still necessary because you probably need superhuman fighters to be able to administer these drugs to a large number of demons.
It is probably still risky, but fighting to just injure a demon is a lot easier than trying to kill them, and a lot less suicidal.
So this brings me back to the clone fighters sent against Son-ju and Mujika:
Tumblr media
They have weapons, but I think everyone knows that they are unlikely to be able to defeat Son-ju, who is an expert warrior. However, if they can stall and distract him enough for that drug to be administered to him or Mujika... well then, it will be suddenly a fight between two demons.
Tbh, if anything, that is even more horrifying to imagine than the scenario you outlined in the ask. Since demons forced to fight and kill each other was exactly the nightmare scenario imagined by Emma... that happening with Son-ju and Mujika would be extreme levels of horror, something that I wouldn't put past Shirai-san planning...
Tumblr media
I mean, these panels are basically foreshadowing Norman's plans anyway. If I am right, then Norman just wanted to start this process a lot sooner than we or Emma thought possible with that drug.
You might find Norman's plan horrible, but at the end of the day, he really cares about ALL of the humans, and his methods may be horrific, but his actions are out of love. We saw how much he cared for simple factory human clones as well:
Tumblr media
He was upset that he couldn't save them, and really angry at the situation they were forced into, and at the demons who created that situation...
Tumblr media
I think looking at him caring about these clones proves it impossible to me that he would be planning on sacrificing the clones in his army.
Yes, Adam was seen to have serious developmental issues some of which the other clones created at lambda may or may not have, and Barbara and the rest has a limited time to live, but I believe Norman wants all of them to be able to live those lives to the fullest they can.
So I think he has a lot of compassion for humans, but he has no compassion for demons unfortunately. Well, he never had any positive experiences with any demons so far, so it makes sense to me...
Edit:
Uh-huh, I just realized that the plan may be scheduled for tifari, since everyone likes to eat festival food, so if someone were to be able to gain access to supplies and put that drug into all the food... then suddenly a large part of the population would go berserk and attack each other...
Meanwhile the army would be distracted with Gilan attacking, and then handling the royals in all that confusion (if their food hasn't already been drugged) would be even easier...
Oh yeah, and regarding drugging Son-ju, wouldn’t it be the angstiest if Don and Gilda were tricked into giving him drugged food, since Son-ju trusts them? Maybe that was the real reason Norman sent those two.
If that goes to plan, even if Mujika survives, she probably would still feel betrayed by humans, and wouldn't be very keen on giving her blood to help Emma's cause of peaceful co-living anymore.
This really sounds like the ultimate angsty twist.

Okay, the official translation is out, and it looks like that while it is made clear that there were 2 different promises made, we don't learn anything about the other promise.
Tumblr media
All we know is that the promise with demon!God was made together by humans and demons (mystery veiled woman and lord Yverik), but no clues given on what it was about.
Tumblr media
It also seems to be confirmed that it is demon!God who decides what the price of a wish is, essentially he will ask for a reward, and Emma has to accept it no matter what if she wants that promise.
I wonder if there is any chance to negotiate...?
It looks like that the other promise, made between the demon king and Julius however may have been negotiated to sufficiently benefit both parties.
I guess the royal family must have not liked the promise Yverik and mystery person made if no one knows about it?
I think the sketch in volume 14 which has caught your attention is about Emma and the Royal Capital City .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Mujika’s blood demons won’t need to eat humans anymore, but they may still choose to like Son-ju. However if they share a religion; then they surely can’t eat them at least?
Also, it was Emma’s faith that helped her reach demon!God, so I think she would make a good priest.

I was reading again the post about who they represent on chess and Ray represent as the bishop and I read in wiki, that if Ray made it in the human world he would like to visit the Sagrada Familia, it's a church in Barcelona. Ray is the bishop.

I think all your theories might come true. You were right about zazie it reveals he is five and Phil is older than him in the volume 14 extras. So zazie can't be Leslie.
I don't think I could possibly be right about everything. Shirai-san is very good at coming up with unexpected twists...
So I think it's very difficult to get all predictions right, but at the same time, his plot is also extremly consistent. So if you think logically, it is easy to clear up some things.
Due to the timeline of lambda not even existing in plans when Leslie was shipped, I found that theory extremly unlikely. I was happy that it finally got debunked by the omake! Proves that Shirai is consistent with the timeline.
Tumblr media
I guess the rapid growth must have had a big strain on Zazie's psychological development. However, his real age is a big plus for my other theory on Zazie...
Where he is the final, perfected version of a series of genetic engineering experiments in lambda to create easily controlled superhumans that started with Adam.
In that theory the first generation test subjects would have names starting with A, like Adam and the last series of tests with Z, like Zazie.
That theory would require Adam to be one of the oldest experiment subjects at lambda, and Zazie to be one of the youngest, which fits with him being 5.
Also, if they really went through the alphabet from A to Z in naming the various genetic experiment subjects, that may explain why Norman's group has so many clone looking people...
Tumblr media
Notice that all of these clones look suspiciously like Adam, and Norman.
I know a lot of people assumed that they may be used by Norman as cannon fodder, or even that they have been created by Norman as an army....
However, wouldn't it be a much neater explanation if they were all the different series of genetic experiments by lambda to create superhuman soldiers, but now used against those who created them?
Tumblr media
I still think Norman may be the control subject in the experiment, the one person kept and raised in conditions as normal as possible, to be a basis for comparison.
Whereas everyone else had growth acceleration experiments etc done to them on top of the genetics.
In any case, I think the resemblance is way too much to be a coincidence, and Zazie's face may be obscured to hide the surprise of looking like Norman too.
I wonder if it is down to genetic relation to control these super soldiers, since then it makes sense for Norman to be so good at controlling them.
That would also mean that it would have made sense for Peter Ratri to use his own genes for the study, if he wanted to take control of them later. Which ofc would explain why Norman looks so much like a Ratri...
Can't wait to see how this theory works out!

TPN History Theory
So chapter 141 finally gave as more info on the Promise from a 1000 years ago and ofc I couldn't help myself from geeking out in trying to correlate the new characters with historical figures!
The chapter said that the group of 6 working together included collaboration of different nations, and they are obviously mostly European in facial features and clothes. We don't know when exactly the promise was made, but a 1000 years ago should be around 1000-1050AD.
This was a turbulent time in European history, but the 6 biggest players in terms of nations were:
Kingdom of France (normans)
Kingdom of England (saxons)
Kingdom of Denmark (vikings)
Holy Roman Empire (germans, italians and czech)
Caliphate of Cordóba (spanish and north africans)
Byzantine Empire (greek, balkan and turk)
So based on cultures, here is my guess on how our new characters map out!
Tumblr media
(Note that the Caliphate of Cordóba is labelled Muslim Spain on the map, also Normandy is the same colour as England because even though the normans were originally vassals of the French kingdom, they conquered England in the 2nd half of the 11th century...)
Okay, so let me explain how I arrived at my conclusions, and how the heraldry is related.
First off, I don't think Julius Ratri is based off of a real historical figure. Once the demon world was separated, he had to leave the human world to be the ambassador inside the demon world, so of course there would be no historical records of him.
Julius is most likely a nod to Julius Caesar, who was a great roman war leader and betrayed by his closest friends. He lived a 1000 years before the promise though, and it is most likely meant to be ironic that Julius Ratri unlike Caesar is the one to betray those closest to him...
I also think that his roman name implies an association with the Holy Roman Empire, which btw was an amalgam of nations ruled by a single, elected emperor legitimized by the Pope in Rome as the succesor to the original Roman Empire.
Tumblr media
You may notice that a large part of the Holy Roman Empire were german, and tbh Julius does look like he could be german, and well, it is kind of a cliché that germans are the bad guys...
Now, if we are talking about Roman empires, we should mention that originally the succesor to the Roman Empire was recognised as the Byzantine Empire, which was a very wealthy and important nation for many centuries in Europe.
Tumblr media
I was thinking that our black haired, Ray look-alike could represent this empire, as he/she clearly dresses differently to the Western European norms, and shows some asiatic features. He/she doesn't look far asian, like chinese, or even mongolian, so I think the Byzantine Empire is a much better fit.
It is a bit of wild guessing, but I think if they are male, they may be the emperor Basil II, or if they are female, they could be his niece, Zoe, who was briefly an empress. Not sure who else were important Byzantine Empire citizens!
Now looking at the genderbent Emma guy, he clearly looks like one of the fiercest warriors, and his crest seems to look like a lion. At the time in Europe, the most badass knights were the normans, so I am thinking he could potentially be a Duke of Normandy, and my guess is on Richard II "The Good".
Tumblr media
The Dukes of Normandy used gold lions on red as their heraldic symbols, and as I have said before, they were french in the first half of the 11th century. When they conquered England later, their descendants like the king Richard Lionheart, put the lion into the English royal crest.
Part of the reason however that the normans could successfully conquer England was that they had a claim to the throne by marriage! Richard II "The Good" had a sister, who he married to not only one, but two English kings, so she was actually queen of England twice (as well as the mother of multiple English kings).
This lady, who was the most influential and politically succesful woman of her time, and is one of the best known early medieval queens was Emma of Normandy.
Tumblr media
So I am thinking that if our genderbent Norman is anyone historical, it would make a lot of sense for her to be Emma of Normandy. She seems to have a crest associated with her that looks kind of like a bird? Emma of Normandy didn't have a crest, but her husbands and sons had crests with either a wyvern or doves, that could maybe fit.
I have also previously theorised that it would be neat if Emma of Normandy was the mystery "Ratri" who forged the original promise with demon!God... and you know what I noticed? That genderbent Norman lady and Julius Ratri seems to be suspiciously close... could they be lovers?
Tumblr media
Actually; looking at them, they kinda look like they how you would picture Norman's parents, if he had a happy family... and we know Norman looks almost identical to James Ratri, and very similar to Peter Ratri, so I think I may not be so off on these two having a child together that led to the Ratri clan. I am super excited if we also get an angsty love story out of it!
Btw I just noticed that Emma's original vision already showed us the two promises:
Tumblr media
The top panel shows a warrior man, Julius shaking hands in public with a demon, who we now know is the demon king (not yet seen in the manga). We know that these two made a Promise between demon and human leaders.
The mid left panel shows a much more slender, female figure with a headscarf and a Ratri owl shake hands in private, with Lord Yverk. From the new chapter we know that these two made a different promise with demon!God.
So it looks like this is what Mujika meant when she said that there is more than one promises! I am eager to see the official translation of Ray discussing these in the flashback, because the current trans are a bit contradictory...
Either case, I am thinking that this mystery lady in the headscarf is either fem!Norman or the child of Julius and fem!Norman perhaps? I think she could have an owl either case.
I am still hoping this lady is Emma of Normandy, would be very poetic for our Emma then to reforge the promise. Either case, my guess is that she was either going behind Julius' back to create an alternative promise, or she directly opposed him to create a better solution! I think the second would be better drama in my opinion, and would also make Julius feel betrayed!
Tumblr media
Speaking of turbulent times, so Emma of Normandy had to marry twice since her first husband was kind of beaten by the vikings, who temporarily conquered England (before the normans took it for good).
The viking king, who was also king of Denmark and Norway who achieved this was Sweyn Forkbeard. I thought it was fun that our TPN viking had a beard that was kind of "forked"...
Tumblr media
Even if he isn't Sweyn, there was a really famous warrior captain in his army called Thorkell the Tall, and we know this guy in TPN is also super tall. So it could be either of them! If it is Sweyn though, he was Emma of Normandy's father-in-law, albeit he died before she married his son.
As for the last person, who is the only person of colour, I think it would make sense for them to be from Muslim Spain. At the time, people of colour from that nation could travel Europe, and they were called the moors.
Unfortunately I don't know enough about the history of that area to guess well on who he could be. Let me know if anyone else has guesses!
Oh well, I can't wait to see how the rest of this history plays out. Looks like we will have some prime quality angst thanks to Julius!

Chapter 141 Spoilers
We have the following text spoiler so far:
The Demon[!God] says, “Fine. But give me a reward.”
People from 1000 years ago explain that the “reward” is compensation for having your wish granted and whatever is asked for you must not refuse.
There are 6 people in a meeting during the battle 1000 years ago who look like they’re from Dragon Quest or something.
One of them named Julius proposes offering a portion of the humans as a method for peace.
Everyone disagreed and that was stopped.
Various countries and cultures are all combining powers to fight! We’re finally beginning to see a chance of victory! We’ll end this war in our generation!
They’re excited but in the end Leuvis kills everyone but Julius.
Julius wants to make a deal with his majesty.
The tragic beginning of a betrayal by a comrade in arms.
We have an image as well, and I would like to point out how similar their clothing/armour look to Norman knights from history 😎:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This fits with most early medieval european fashion, but I keep getting excited because I made a theory on the first Ratri leader who made the promise being Emma of Normandy, who was an important ruler just around a 1000 years ago, when the promise was made. The manga panels again fit the clothing of a norman lady:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So it looks like the Ratri clan may be a descendant of the Normans after all! Fierce warriors who used to be vikings until they settled in the French area of Normandy, around a 1000 years ago, under the rule of viking chieftain Rollo, who was apparently a man too big for any horse to carry (perhaps the big guy in the back on the manga page?).
Tumblr media
To me it sounds like that Norman knights would fit the bill for being able to and wanting to fight demons. It sounds like they were badasses.
The only thing that bothers me is the mention of Julius... Is this a reference to Julius Caesar? However he lived almost another 1000 years earlier, so I don't think it could be actually him.
When looking for Cuvitidala, Ray discussed an old book that was identified as the diary or various ratri clansmen during the ages. The most ancient parts were written in latin or mirrored latin.
Latin was however not only the language of the romans, but during the early medieval ages in europe everyone wrote in latin, even if they spoke their native languages only. Most people were illiterate though, only a select few learned to write.
So maybe Julius is a mistranslation, or just unrelated to Julius Caesar, or just a small nod to him being betrayed.
In terms of the price of reforging the promise, the spoiler has some contradictions:
No matter what reward demon!God asks for, it must be given. This implies that demon!God decides the price, and the negotiator has no say in setting the price.
Julius suggests offering part of humanity. So then after all, does demon!God only decide if they accept what the negotiator offers? Without demanding anything?
Perhaps there is a bit of haggling involved? Either case, Emma has seen demons make what looked like offers to demon!God in exchange for their wishes...
Tumblr media
Emma is only speculating on this, but it seems reasonable that demons used to go to Cuvitidala to talk to demon!God through visions. Otherwise, why would the vision mechanism activate automatically, if it wasn't set up for that?
The question is: why doesn't it work anymore, why did the demons abandon it, and why did it work for Emma?
In the previous chapter's, 140's analysis I discussed that Emma's faith was important to reaching demon!God. She believed she could do it, and she did.
So what if demons have abandoned Cuvitidala because they have lost faith in demon!God, and couldn’t talk to demon!God anymore?
Sure, they still hold tifari, but perhaps that festival isn't about worshipping a God anymore, but it is a social gathering they hold as a tradition now? They certainly don't seem to know anymore what demon!God actually wants of them if they keep sending dead people, and demon!God is much more interestes in playing with living humans...
Now, I know a lot of ppl expect Emma to offer herself as sacrifice to the demon!God, but even if she is prime quality and supremely delicious, I doubt that a one-time snack is really worth much to a God...
What might be worth a lot more though may be getting their followers back, and perhaps expanding them to humans as well?
So maybe Emma could become a priest/prophet of demon!God and convert demons and humans together to demon!God's religion? Maybe Mujika could help. After all, Mujika's religion forbids eating cattle humans, and if humans and demons share a religion; then they should not fight or try to kill each other anymore.
I think that one might be a neat solution for uniting them, and also pleasing demon!God. Plus it fits with the Bible theme where in the new testament Christianity becomes available to everyone, not just the jews anymore.
(I will get back to asks soon, sorry that I haven't been answering them yet! Have quite a few in my inbox!)

Thank you @normancatbestcat for linking me this theory from reddit! It is an interesting read!

Chapter 140 - More clues towards the Undersea Theory?
It's a belated post, but chapter 140 made me very excited:
We saw what looks like islands at the "day & night" place!
Tumblr media
Also, the eye of the dragon is now clearly the same as Emma's pendant. I wonder if this configuration mirrors a real life set of 4 islands on the ocean somewhere...
Regarding the different age forms of demon!God, have you noticed that the "mirror" images for most of the forms don't match?
So we have 4 forms: old, adult, teen and child. Now look again: the old form has the child below it, the adult has the old form, the teen has the adult, and only the child has the child stabilised.
Tumblr media
I wonder if this relates to the true agelessness of demon!God, saying that they are not any age but all ages at once?
Also, it looks like Ray was really Virgil after all, and couldn’t be allowed into Heaven proper to meet God. Whereas Emma is Dante after all, gaining an audience with God.
Tumblr media
It looks like that the black hole was really a test of faith, hope and love, albeit without any person actually asking the questions. Emma, the idealist was able to keep the hope all along, had faith that it would work, and was working out of love for her loved ones.
Tumblr media
Ray, the realist may have understood this all in his head, and may have told himself to believe, hope and love, but it looks like he was limited by his own mind, doubts, and insecurities.
Tbh this faith part also relates to the golden water being like Tinkerbell's fairy dust. After all Peter Pan says that the fairy dust only allows people to fly to/from Neverland if they believe:
"All it takes is faith and trust... Oh! And something I forgot: Dust. Just a little bit of pixie dust."
PETER PAN
I wonder if the seven walls are after all instead related to your imagination, rather than to space and time like Ray thought. Demon!God after all says that there are no real walls around their world (I wonder if this is a nod to them being seas instead?).
So maybe Ray just wasn't able to imagine how it would look "beyond the seven walls" so his own limit was his own imagination? Hence the black hole and the geometrical space. Whereas Emma, with her idealist, childlike pure mind could always imagine what the meeting place could look like.
Tumblr media
I still don't think that Emma will be able to forge a new promise, I think the next twist may be that she learns about the existence of another promise that Mujika has mentioned, and she just has to figure out how to make that promise work in practice. I wonder who forged it...
I was linked a reddit theory (will link in a reblog) that Mujika may have forged it herself, but I still think the original demon!saviour was different to Mujika (her hair wasn't braided), perhaps her mother? She could have forged it to save demonkind, but then it didn't work out due to the royals...
Tumblr media
It is very suspicious that a Bayon noble remembers Mujika when thinking about Geelan, there must be some association between them, although I am not sure if Mujika is part of the Geelan clan. I still think if she has a father, it is Leuvis.
I guess seeing more of the royal families builds up to this, so us as readers care about the royals not getting wiped out?
Tumblr media
Btw, have you noticed that Lady Bayon has what looks like "bunny ears" ? I thought this is clearly a reference to the March Hare's association with Bayon (and Leuvis with Mad Hatter) thay I have pointed out in my Alice in Wonderland theory! At least it made me excited!
So maybe the original demon!saviour's promise that Mujika knows about will work if the royals get wiped out by Norman, or if Emma finds a way to convince them?

Off again on holiday
So the crazy schedule that I arranged means that I am once more on a journey, this time waiting at the airport to fly to Denmark and play the live action roleplaying game, Spoils of War!
This one is based off of Game of Thrones, with 9 different noble families meeting after a terrible war for power over their lands.
Tumblr media
My character is quite a bit like Ser Davos, an unexpectedly decent person, who is trying to support the people they serve despite them making some horrible choices, and even committing war crimes!
Tumblr media
I think that my character's patience and kindness will be challenged a lot, after all they serve a bunch of edgelords. But they will try their best to help them back on a better path!
I think it will be a really intense and emotional game, I can't wait for it to start! Unfortunately though; I won't have much internet access until Sunday again.
Meanwhile, have a look at some of the cool props that I made for the game! They have my character's family crest:

Ttyl everyone, and enjoy this week's update too!

After all, Norman has that hair curl that looks kind of like a horn... hmmm...
Hi, I stumbled upon your blog after a thought I had about TPN. Your investigations into how TPN parallels the divine comedy are really interesting. Were you aware that in limbo there is a castle with *seven* walls? Combined with everything you've written about this doesn't just seem like a chance coincidence to me, since Ray and Emma are effectively trapped in limbo. Let me know what you think :)

When Dante in Paradiso meets God, it is a very abrupt encounter, and Dante is left feeling helpless at God’s presence, finding God to be like a “problem with no solution”.
Is this the ending that awaits Emma and Ray as well? That they can’t solve the problem before they are returned to Earth?

Unfortunately the mobile app only allows 10 images, so please look in the reblogs for the continuation of this post.

Just in case anyone missed Ray, here is where Posuka-sensei has "hidden" him in the art. I am assuming that the little demon figure is a Norman reference. Read into that what you will regarding the Norman has demon genes theory...

Not only does shirai have references from western mediums in tpn, but also his ashley goeth one shot (according to your recent post). Have you seen shirai's comment in a shonen jump issue? It mentioned that he watched umbrella academy and enjoyed it! I've also seen a reddit comment from you talking about why shirai has so many western references, so can you develop on that?

Posuka Demizu is an accepted, and clearly Japanese artist outside of TPN as well, although some of her art is clearly TPN inspired. (Btw, have you noticed the RAY in the last image? :D)
What about Shirai-san though? Could he be a foreigner, and if so, would it make sense for him to use a penname to hide it?

The surroundings with the building hidden inside the forest, and big grassy areas is also eerily similar. Although none of this is unusual for England tbh…

It’s all just speculation in this case, no real evidence, I’m just curious about it.
I was also interested in how there is a place called Pendle hill nearby, that looked familiar to me as some of the demonic landscape we have seen.
