Yandere Kalim Al-Asim x Little Brother Reader Headcanons/Short Story(?)
Sunshine child time! I've actually had a good idea for Kalim for the longest time and I'm excited about it so let's go! Fun fact: when I started writing this, I just came up with a second brother for Kalim. I hate myself for this.
Warnings: Clingy Yandere
Kalim Al-Asim
Brother A:
You're the second oldest in the Asim line. It's also useful to note that you are the only one who is also Kalim's full brother.
You absolutely adore your older brother and the adoration is fully returned. You two are barely ever seen apart. Heck, when you both were tiny, if you were separated for two seconds, Kalim would start full on bawling. Your parents killed two birds with one stone and had you two share a room.
You two were basically the same person, mainly for the fact alone that you tried to mimic Kalim's every move. Your parents would start to call you 'Tiny Kalim' as a joke but it stuck for years.
"Kalim! Tiny Kalim! It's time for dinner!"
"Yay! Come on, Tiny Kalim! I heard that it's a whole buffet!"
"Coming! Is Jali joining us?"
"He should already be down there!"
"Okay!"
We both ran throughout the house to the dining room. We were so excited to eat what was made! We both enjoyed a big feast.
"I wonder if they have curry!"
"I hope that they have some coconut juice to drink!"
We both took our seats at the table and started bouncing up and down. Food always got us into an excitable mood.
"Alright, alright calm down."
"Jamil!"
"Jali!"
Jali was a nickname that I came up with for Jamil when I first started to learn how to talk. If I had a nickname, that meant I was going to give everyone else a nickname as well. I call Kalim Big Bro more often than not but sometimes, I call him Carpet Rider. He's really talented at flying a carpet.
"Here you go, Kalim."
Jamil set a plate of food in front of Kalim and made sure that nobody else touched the food. Kalim let out a light cheer before digging into his food. I had to wait for another twenty minutes before a servant brought me my food. I let out my own cheer.
I got my utensils and grabbed a big bite.
"Hehehe, Tiny Kalim!"
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I looked to see who it was. I turned back to see Kalim eat my food.
"Hey!"
"Hahahaha!"
This was always a normal interaction between you and Kalim.
When your other siblings came into the picture, you both tried to make sure that everyone felt welcomed into the family. All of the games that you would play would result in complete chaos. Mainly for the fact that everyone would lose who was It.
Your mother kept a careful watch over her two children to make sure that the other mistresses wouldn't dare hurt you two.
Although that doesn't stop them from trying to get you to hurt Kalim.
"Hey, Tiny Kalim. Come over here for a second will ya?"
"Huh? Yeah, do you need something?"
"Could you do me a favor and put the contents of this vial into your older brother's drink?"
"Maybe?"
"If you do, I'll make sure that you get a sweet treat~"
I just stayed silent but took the vial from the lady. She's the mother of my fourth and fifth younger siblings, who are very sweet to me. I don't want her to be thrown out and lose those two.
I looked at the vial a little closer and saw the skull and crossbones etched into the glass. Another poison... Why does everyone come to me to poison my brother? Thankfully, I know exactly what to do with this anyway!
"Hey! Hey, Mr. Ver!"
"Huh? Oh! It's Tiny Kalim! What brings you here?"
"I was just out on the town when I remembered you talking about how a weed completely took over your favorite flower bed. Do you think that this type of poison will clear it out?"
"Hmmm, let me take a little looksie."
Mr. Ver took the vial from me and poured it on a recently fallen leaf. It took only thirty seconds for the leaf to just shrivel up on itself. If Kalim actually drank that...
"Wow! Good choice, Tiny Kalim! Thank you for being so considerate!"
I only gave him a shaky smile and a quick nod of my head. I needed to go find Jamil and warn him.
"Tiny Kalim!!"
Nevermind, my job just got easier.
Kalim tackled me in a behind hug and squeezed extremely tight. I let out a laugh before enveloping Kalim's arms with my own.
"Hiya, Kalim! Do you know where Jali is?"
"Over here, (Y/N)."
I looked over to Jamil and I gave him a slight wave. I then looked back to Kalim.
"Big Bro, would you mind if I talked with Jamil alone for a few seconds?"
Kalim's smile dropped and his eyes became dull for like two seconds. It was like it never happened because his smile came back full force.
"Of course!"
There was a slight strain to his voice but I just brushed it off as a bad day. I grabbed Jamil's arm and walked out of hearing range while still able to keep Kalim in our sight.
"What did you want to talk about with me, (Y/N)?"
"Our father's third wife gave me poison to give to Kalim. I just wanted to warn you so you can keep a close eye on him."
"Hmmm, thank you for the warning, (Y/N). It's greatly appreciated."
I gave Jamil a nod. It's so weird to hear my actual name instead of Tiny Kalim. But it felt really nice.
This wasn't the only time you were given poison and then figured out how to get rid of it.
You were also given small weapons and some money but you were prepared for that as well. Whenever you got a weapon, you went to the hunters to find out if they could use it. They were willing to take whatever weapons you had and gave you even more money for them. Then you would take whatever money that you got from selling the weapons and the money that you were given and give it all to Jamil. The man needs the money more than anybody else does.
Sadly, your 'tricks' put a target on your back as well.
"Hrk!"
"Tiny Kalim?!"
I felt my stomach convulse and out came the food that I had just eaten. Normally, that wouldn't freak me out if it wasn't for the fact that there was also some blood in what I threw up. And my body wasn't done yet.
Jamil quickly grabbed some of my food and put it in a plant. The plant shriveled up, making my eyes tear up. I should have been expected to be poisoned.
"His food was poisoned. We need to get him to a healer!"
Kalim picked me up and sprinted towards the healer's office. My body was still heaving, trying to throw more and more up even though my stomach was empty. This was very painful.
"Please! Help my little brother!"
"Oh my! Please set him down!"
I felt the healer work and let out a sigh of relief. Kalim looked extremely terrified by the fact that I was poisoned. The amount of tension that I had in my body released and I blacked out.
When I came back to reality, Kalim was sitting by my side, clutching my hand tightly. I don't even think that blood could flow naturally in my hand with how tight Kalim was gripping it. I weakly tried to get him to let go of my hand but it notified him that I was awake and I got trapped in a bear hug.
It's safe to say that you could barely leave Kalim's side after that.
Kalim was terrified at the thought of losing his only full sibling and felt useless about the fact that he couldn't protect you.
He demanded that Jamil would also be at your beck and call for the fact that and I quote 'Tiny Kalim needs Jamil more than I could ever!'
It's also safe to say that Kalim was less friendly to your other siblings. Still be courteous to them but refusing to let them play with you.
"Tiny Kalim! Tiny Kalim!"
I turned around to see Malik and Maia, twins by the way, running towards me, holding what seemed to be new toys. Not that surprising considering their birthday was only two days ago.
"Tiny Kalim! We haven't seen you for what feels like forever! Come and play with us!"
"I would lo-"
"(Y/N)."
I turned my head to Jamil, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. As always, he had a poker face on.
"Yes, Jali?"
"Kalim has requested your presence."
"Ah, I see."
I then turned back to the twins and gave them a sad smile.
"Sorry guys. But it seems like our older brother needs me for something."
"Awwwwww, but we really wanted to play with you."
"I know. How about this? As soon as I'm done with whatever Big Bro needs from me, I'll come and find you as soon as possible! Then we can play the night away!"
"YAY!"
Now with Malik and Maia happy once again, I started to follow Jamil to wherever Kalim was.
"You do realize that Kalim most likely won't let you go before it's way past their bedtime right?"
"Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out what he wants from me this time. This is the fifth time that he has called me today alone! It's over a hundred if you count the rest of the week."
"I did take count. With this call, the count becomes 134."
"Oh goodness. How long do those meetings take normally?"
"Six hours is the average that Kalim will keep you normally."
"I need to talk about this with Big Bro."
You tried to talk with Kalim about the current monopoly that he was trying to have over your time.
Kalim decided to pull one of his best tactics.
"Monopoly over your time? Do you really believe that I'm trying to be selfish? I'm just trying to protect you, Tiny Kalim!"
"Big Bro, I don't have any doubts that you're only concerned about my well being but! It has been feeling like you're trying to prevent me from hanging out with anybody else lately. Well, other than Jali."
"I'm quite hurt that you would blame me like this. I guess that you don't love me anymore."
"That's not true! I still love you, Big Bro!"
"Then why must you push me away so often?!"
Kalim's eyes were starting to well up with tears and were quickly overflowing. He broke down into tears while huge sobs escaped from his mouth. I felt my heart twist at the sounds. The feeling was awful in my chest. I walked towards Kalim before enveloping him in a hug of my own.
"Please don't cry, Big Bro. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings! I was just being dramatic! I won't push you away again."
"Do you promise?"
Kalim's eyes were so broken. The tears streaming down his face added to the pain in my chest.
"I promise."
Ever since that promise was made, Kalim made sure that you would never leave his side. Wherever Kalim went, he made sure that you were coming along or would tell Jamil to drag you along.
You can't really remember the last time that you were truly alone. Either Jamil was in the same room, staring from the corner or you would be right by Kalim's side.
This persisted until it was time for Jamil to leave for NRC.
Kalim and I were watching as Jamil was getting ready to enter a black carriage. A smile was present on my face while Kalim was basically vibrating with excitement.
"Bye, Jamil! Have fun and stay safe!"
"Yeah! It's going to feel slightly lonely without you around!"
"Hehe, it'll be fine without me. You two have each other after all."
After those parting words, Jamil entered the coffin and the carriage rode off with him. Despite the fact that he couldn't see us, Kalim and I were waving our arms in the air until the carriage was no longer in sight.
"You know? You're right. It already does feel a bit lonelier without him."
"I know! Either way, let's go back inside. I want to play some Mancala with you, Tiny Kalim!"
When Jamil left, your mother and father took extra precautions with you. Since Kalim's most trusted servant was no longer available, they upped your guard count to make sure that neither you nor Kalim would be left alone.
Eventually, Kalim's magic appeared and he showed your parents. Everybody was overjoyed for Kalim and threw a party to celebrate him.
Shortly after the party and two months after Jamil left, an invitation from NRC arrived for Kalim!
Everyone was enthused! Well, almost everyone.
"NO!"
"KALIM! Do not fight with me! This is a huge honor!"
"Not unless Tiny Kalim is coming along as well!"
I kept my ear pressed close to the doors while the argument persisted. Kalim tried to burn the invitation when he got it and it sparked this argument. Dad wasn't very happy with how Kalim was acting. But Kalim wasn't completely above throwing a mild tantrum.
I stepped away from the door before sitting between two of our guards. I looked at both of them but neither of them dared to meet my gaze. I closed my eyes and wondered about how we reached here. Kalim's possessiveness, my willingness to play along, Jamil leaving. Kalim has become basically entitled to all of my attention.
I'm mildly hoping that Mom and Dad say no. Maybe the separation will benefit both of us.
"WAHOO!"
But that scream tells me otherwise.
Yep, Kalim was able to convince your parents to pull some strings to get you a ticket into NRC as well.
You were two months late into the school year but since Jamil has been there, he was able to catch you both up to speed.
"JAMIL!"
Jamil's head whipped around so fast that I was afraid of his neck getting hurt. Kalim basically body slammed him to the ground while I was running to catch up with both of them.
"KALIM?!"
"Yep! Did you miss us?"
Kalim was slightly bouncing while still keeping a strong grip on Jamil's shoulders.
"Us?"
"Hi, Jali!"
Jamil then saw me standing a bit away from the two. I gave him a slight smile and wave. Jamil's face displayed shock before he schooled his expression. Kalim finally got off of him and stood up. Once Jamil was on his feet, I gave him a hug of my own. No point in knocking him back down.
Jamil cleared his throat before talking.
"What brings you two here?"
"We're joining NRC!"
Jamil's eyes widened and Kalim took that as a sign to elaborate.
"I'm able to use magic now after many years of practice! I kept trying and trying and trying. But now, it has finally clicked! I got a letter a few days ago and tada~! Now, we're here!"
"That explains why you're here. But why is (Y/N) here?"
"I'm here because-"
"How could I possibly let Tiny Kalim be on his own?! We've been together since he was born! Not to mention, how would I be able to keep a proper eye on him?!"
Kalim interrupted me again. He has been getting into the habit of speaking for me. I guess I'm to blame for that as well.
Jamil only nodded his head before muttering stuff under his breath.
NRC days seemed to be pretty much the same to you as days in the palace.
Hang out in Kalim's room, eat with Kalim, hang out with Kalim and go to classes with Kalim.
You had tried to make new friends with the people of the dorm but Kalim always sent Jamil to find you. It was amazing how he knew whenever you had free time.
"Isn't NRC so cool?"
Kalim and I were resting on his bed staring at his ceiling. He recently became dorm leader. How? We have no idea other than Crowley randomly telling him one morning.
"Yeah, I guess."
I haven't been able to see much of NRC if I'm being honest. The most that I've seen outside of Scarabia are the classrooms. Before Kalim goes to his after school activities, he drops me off in our room. And to add insult to injury, he also locks the door behind him.
"You guess?! Come on, Tiny Kalim! This place has basically everything! Plus, everybody is really nice!"
I wouldn't know, considering I can't talk with any of them since Jamil always comes and interrupts any conversation that I could have. I only nodded my head before putting a forced smile on my face. When did I lose my ability to be (Y/N) and became only Tiny Kalim?
That thought plagued me for the rest of the night. I couldn't even close my eyes. My thoughts were much too frantic for it.
The next day, you decided to do something that you haven't once thought of in your life.
You left the room while Kalim was asleep. You normally woke up early and waited for Kalim to wake up. But you really needed some alone time. Time to be (Y/N). Not Tiny Kalim.
You ran out of Scarabia to the main campus. You only really knew where the main building was so this was a good chance to learn more about it.
You first went to the gate and started to patrol the perimeter. The stars were your company for this nightly stroll! They were ten times better company than your brother or Jamil.
"I wish I paid more attention to Arqa's ramblings. He would know all of these stars by heart. And the constellations that are out at this time of year."
I spoke out loud to the stars. Nobody else was up at this time, which was mildly disappointing. At least back at Silk City, the night Bizarre would have many different faces. Some scary, some friendly, and some just faces.
I started to hum and dance with the cool air enveloping my body. I haven't felt this unburdened in forever.
"TINY KALIM!"
I felt a body collide with my own, sending both of us to the ground.
"Kalim!"
Kalim was snuggling into my front, his grip getting really tight. It was quite obvious that he had been crying again.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"What do you mean?"
"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?! I-I-I had to go to use the b-b-bathroom! AND WHEN I WOKE UP, YOU WERE GONE!! I-I-I-I THOUGHT SOMEONE KIDNAPPED YOU! I THOUGHT THAT I LOST YOU FOREVER, TINY KALIM!"
I listened to Kalim's crying before I saw Jamil walk up to us.
"He woke up the entire dorm to create a search party for you. That was very reckless."
I tilted my head down. My face felt so flushed from embarrassment.
"You should have left a note, (Y/N). I always thought that you weren't like Kalim but maybe... I should start calling you Tiny Kalim as well."
I felt my heart drop. Jamil was the only person who called me (Y/N). If he no longer does, would anybody remember my name?
Brother B:
You were the youngest (So far) of the Asim family. Your birth wasn't the biggest thing that has happened to the family but a few of your older siblings visited you the same day. One of those people was Kalim.
When it was his turn to hold you, Kalim felt something stir within his soul. He didn't know what exactly made you different from his other younger siblings that he has held. But he just felt such a connection with you!
There were plenty of times when you SHOULD have been with your mother that Kalim just took you instead. Whenever you needed to sleep, eat, or take a bath, Kalim would be the one to do it with you.
"Kalim! You need to stop taking (Y/N) whenever you want! I swear, if you keep this up, you'll become more of his mother than I am."
"But... (Y/N) likes to be with me! Right, (Y/N)?"
I babbled and put my fist in my mouth. I taste really nummy!
"See! He wants to be with me!"
Kalim would constantly run off with you. He took you to places that weren't really safe for your age.
Since your immune system wasn't as strong as a normal human being and you would normally get milk from your mother basically once a month, you would get sick quite often.
Kalim would feel mildly guilty since it was his fault but he would take the sickness as another thing to experience with you!
"Do you think that he's better yet, Jamil?"
Jamil took a breath before answering Kalim.
"No, Kalim. Look at him. His face is still flushed. Taking him out now would put him at risk."
I kept on crying. It was so hard for me to breathe! Plus I feel icky!
"I didn't mean to do that! You know that, right, Jamil?!"
"Yes, I know, Kalim. Come along. Let's give (Y/N) his medicine and let him sleep this sickness off."
A cup was put to my lips and a sweet syrup was in it. I drank it all up. What a sweet treat! I felt my eyes get droopy before I just passed out.
One year after you were born, Kalim was told that he was going to NRC after Jamil.
Kalim came up with a 'clever' plan.
He got special clothes to hide you in and snuck you into NRC without the Headmage or any of the other staff noticing.
"We're here! At our new home for a while!"
"Why are you shouting that, Kalim?"
"Because~~~!"
Kalim then reached into his secret pocket and pulled me out! I let out some giggles because it felt like I saw flying. Ooooo! Look! It's the grumpy guy again!
"Kalim... You're joking right? That's not actually (Y/N). Right?"
"Nope~! It's (Y/N) alright! I simply couldn't stand being away from him! I tried for one night. I had the caretakers move his crib out of my room and into his mother's but I couldn't sleep! What if he was crying?! What if he needed attention?! How was I supposed to know that he was safe if he wasn't with me at all times!"
The grumpy man just let out a sigh while Kalim spun me around in the air. He fell onto his bed with me on top of him.
"We're going to have so much fun here!"
Kalim took you to all of his classes, despite how much Jamil protested.
The staff would also raise an alarm but noticed that when you weren't there, Kalim wouldn't be able to focus and pay attention.
So they put up with you in their classes. Sometimes they would bring little toys for you to play with as well.
Eventually, letters started to come in. Letters from your mother.
"Hmmmmm."
I watched Kalim as he sat at his desk, looking at a piece of paper. I crawled over to him and started tugging on his pant leg.
"Huh? Oh!"
Kalim picked me up before setting me down on his lap. I looked at the paper too but it had weird scribbles on it.
"Your mother is quite upset with me, (Y/N)."
Kalim started talking and I just put my ear against his chest.
"She says that I shouldn't have taken you away from her. That I'm in the wrong for putting you at such risk. That I'm a monster who takes what doesn't belong to me. But that's where she's wrong, correct?"
I just tilted my head. I didn't really understand what he was saying.
"You do belong to me. You belong to me just as much as you belong to her. Just differently! I'm your older brother! It's my job to make sure that you live the best life that you can live! It's her job as the mother to bring you to life! She's already done her part of the job and now, it's my turn!"
Kalim gave me a huge smile, which I returned.
"See! I knew that you would agree with me!"
Kalim brought me into a hug. I reciprocated it but I was blind to the dark glint that appeared in his eyes.
"Maybe... I should send someone to remind her that she's done with her job."

Male Yuu! Reader (Platonic Yandere) Part 1
@asillylitteseabunnyay More ideas! Warning: Really OOC characters (Even for yandere standards. This is a major reason as to why I write headcanons before writing a separate piece for them), I really did try to make this into one post but I really wanted to post something. Sorry for taking so long to post something.
For those who want a word count: 14,203 words. Once again, sorry for being really slow.
"(Y/N)! Wait up!"
I turned around to see Ace running up to me with Deuce trailing after him. A grin broke on my face at the sight of them. Those two always bring trouble with them and while it can be tiring, I could never imagine a different life that I could lead. Or at least, my life in Twisted Wonderland.
"Heya, guys! What's going on? Riddle chasing after you for breaking another rule or Azul wanting to capture you in a contract again?"
"Do you really think that whenever we want to see you we're in trouble? I'm kind of wounded."
Ace put on a fake pout before pulling a mock hurt pose.
"Because whenever you ARE in trouble, you come find me to get you out of it."
"Fair."
Deuce walked around Ace before greeting me.
"Good morning, (Y/N)!"
"Good morning, Deucey! How's your morning been so far?"
"It was quite uneventful which is a nice change of pace from how mornings normally are for us."
Deuce was pushed by Ace, who started laughing at Deuce who lost his footing.
Ace and Deuce started a stare off before I just lightly tapped both of their foreheads to snap them out of it.
"Yo, troublemakers! If you keep fighting like this, we're gonna have trouble coming our way. Let's move!"
Ace and Deuce nodded at me before we all started to sprint to get to P.E. Vargas was no joke when it came to being late. I would prefer not having to do twenty extra laps around the field, thank you very much.
Thankfully, we made it with only a minute left to spare. Jack and Epel were there ahead of us and claimed brooms for Ace and Deuce.
"If you three keep sleeping in, you're going to end up missing class."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's get this class done and over with."
Jack tossed the brooms to Ace and Deuce who caught them before turning towards me.
"(Y/N), do you want to ride with me on my broom today?"
I thought about the offer before another student butted into the conversation.
"I already offered the Human a ride on my broom last class!"
Sebek appeared out of nowhere, being loud like always. Although his words did remind me of yesterday. I was riding on Floyd's broom for class (Mainly because he wouldn't let me ride on anyone else's broom) and I nearly fell off many times. Sebek came to me after class and offered his broom instead. This did surprise me considering that Sebek has been a recent friend that I've made but I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Anything to not ride with Floyd again.
"Yep, he's right, Jack. I promised Sebek that I would join him for this flight class. Although if you're offering for tomorrow, I wouldn't be opposed to that."
Jack gave me a nod before getting himself ready for flight. Looks like I have my flight partner for tomorrow! I walked with Sebek to the spot that he picked which was quite a bit away from the other first years but I didn't care that much about it. This class is a mix between all of the years so I wouldn't be surprised if Lilia or Silver was in this class as well.
"Child of Man."
Or I should have guessed that Malleus would be in this class.
"Hello, Hornton. I hope that this morning is treating you nicely."
I still can't really wrap my head around the fact that my night friend is really the Malleus Draconia. It's still something that I must get used to.
"Young Master!"
Sebek's face lit up with the biggest smile that I think I've ever seen which made a smile appear on my face. Even thought the half fae carries a huge amount of aggression towards humans, whenever he's happy, it's near impossible to not be happy along with him.
"ALRIGHT! Let's start working out those muscles!"
Coach Vargas appeared out of nowhere like he normally does and got everybody into line. Sebek positioned his broom safely between his legs while I tried to position myself carefully as well. The take off is always the hardest for whoever I'm flying with considering that we have to time the launch perfectly with each other.
Sebek was staring at me to make sure that I was ready and I gave him a quick nod to signal that I was ready for take off. We did a short run before jumping and taking off. I held onto Sebek for dear life when we started to get some serious altitude. I've learned that if I grab the broom while in flight, that I accidently cause some mild steering interference.
"Khee hee hee. Careful, (Y/N). You might end up causing a tear into Sebek's uniform."
I turned my head to my right to see Lilia flying there. Him being there made me recount all of the people in this class. Everyone was in this class today! I'm particularly amazed that Azul was able to get his broom up this high and the fact that Idia was riding the broom correctly. That might be because we're actually going for a flight around the island for class today.
"I'll loosen my grip in a bit. I'm still not a big fan of heights."
A shudder went up my spine when I looked down. I don't understand how people are able to fly this high up without being terrified.
"WOOOOO!"
I tilted my head up to see Cater riding his broom like a skateboard and doing tricks on it. I wish that I had a fraction of his courage to do something like that.
"Don't worry, Human! I will not be doing ridiculous stunts like that with you on the broom with me."
"Thanks, Sebek. I greatly appreciate it."
The class continued like normal. Many people were flying by Sebek and I to have a pleasant conversation. Riddle and the rest of Heartslabyul were checking in with me to make sure I didn't need a quick emergency landing. Sebek took mild offense to that saying 'If the Human needed to go down, I would be more than capable to take him down myself!'
"Are you sure that you would be taking the utmost of care that he is protected when flying down?"
"Of course, I would!"
"I don't know, Sebek. You don't always seem to be the perfect fit for protecting (Y/N)."
"Why you-!"
Ace and Sebek started a screaming match mid air, making me roll my eyes. Those two are like oil and water. Never to be mixed.
"Good morning, Prefect."
"Good morning, Dorm Leader Rosehearts!"
"(Y/N)..."
I let out a laugh at Riddle's warning tone. I love to tease him about his proper title.
"Sorry, sorry. Has your morning been calm?"
"Not in the slightest! There were nearly five rule breakers this morning! I don't know what they were thinking about having strawberry tea on a Thursday!"
"The lunacy!"
"I know!"
"Hehe, it did make for a magicamable morning though!"
Cater flew next to us, still in skateboard position.
"I bet it did!"
"I'll send you all of the pics after class! Kay-kay?"
"Kay-Kay!"
I like indulging in his vocabulary from time to time. It's interesting and different from my own!
"Ace. Stop fighting with Sebek before Riddle decides that it's off with your head."
Trey was ahead of all of us, flying backwards which was pretty impressive, mediating the fight between Sebek and Ace.
"But-!"
"YOU HEARD THE OTHER HUMAN, ACE! ADMIT YOUR DEFEAT!"
Don't fight Sebek, it isn't pretty.
Ace let out a scoff before flying towards Deuce. Riddle and Trey followed quickly after them to make sure that those two would stay out of trouble for the morning while Cater saw Idia and wanted a picture of him before he hid away for the rest of the day.
"*Yawn* Doesn't it get exhausting with all of those other noisy herbivores chatting your ear off?"
Leona and Ruggie came on the left and the right of us.
"I don't see it as tiring. In fact, it's actually quite fun to talk with your friends in the morning!"
Leona gave a smirk at me with a glint in his eyes. Oh no.
"That's just like you, Herbivore. Taking pity on other herbivores, especially those who follow that Lizard."
I felt Sebek tense at Leona's words. He turned his head to glare at Leona.
"How dare you insult the YOUNG MASTER?! YOU LAZY LION!"
Leona and Sebek started to have a shouting match over my head. Why does Sebek feel the need to fight with so many people this morning? Where does this energy come from?
"Psst, (Y/N)!"
I turned my head to see Ruggie. He gave me a slight wave before holding out an apple for me.
"Here! I decided to be kind today and got you an apple!"
"Thank you, Ruggie! Now. What do you want?"
Ruggie's kind smile turned into a slight smirk.
"Glad you asked! I have to do laundry later today and considering I did something nice for you, you could do something nice for me?"
"Sure, I'll come by noon to help you out."
"Thank you, (Y/N)! Shye hee hee!"
"Alright, leave (Y/N) and Sebek alone you guys."
Jack and Epel came out of nowhere and separated Leona and Ruggie from our broom.
"Hmph, self righteous fresh babies."
Leona flew off and motioned for Ruggie to follow him. Ruggie gave me a nod before flying after Leona. Sebek looked at Jack with anger.
"HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT US, JACK!"
"Your yelling was giving (Y/N) a headache. Besides, you should be paying attention to flying and not crashing."
Epel then flew closer to me and took the apple from me.
"Hey!"
"Ya don't wanna ta eat this one. There's mealworms in it. Make yer stomach upset."
I looked at the apple with disgust. I can't believe that Ruggie would try to feed me something that like.
"Thanks, Epel. It looked like such a good apple too."
"It takes a trained eye ta tell. Seems like Ruggie needs a better eye."
Jack and Epel flew away after making sure that Sebek and I would be safe with flying.
"These useless creatures. Thinking that I'm incapable of taking care of a singular magicless human."
"Calm down, Sebek. I'm certain that they are just worried about me being up this high. It's not everyday that a magicless human goes off the ground. If it makes you feel better, I feel completely safe with you flying the broom."
Sebek gave a proud smirk before straightening his back and picking up the pace to continue flying with the group. I started to scan the sky for other people that I knew.
Azul didn't really come near us or anybody for that matter. I think that he was a tad scared of accidentally crashing into anybody which I think is a valid fear. I quickly shouted some encouragement to him. Jade and Floyd on the other hand had no problem with coming up to us. Jade mostly left us alone, saying that he was there to keep an eye on his brother. Floyd though...
"Awwww, Shrimpyyyy. Why are you flying with Crocodile instead of me todayyyy? Are you trying to get squeeeezed?"
"No Floyd. I'm riding Sebek because he offered."
"Hmph. That's no fun. Come here on my broom."
Floyd grabbed my arm and started trying to pull me onto his broom. Because of my near death grip on Sebek, it started to also mess with Sebek's flying as well.
"ARGH! STOP THIS INSTANT, YOU INSOLENT CREATURE!"
"Floyd! Stop that! This isn't funny!"
"Hehehehe~ I think that it's pretty funny. Come on, Shrimpy. It'll be safe."
"FLOYD!"
"Floyd. That's enough. You're causing (Y/N) to be uncomfortable."
Jade intervened by prying Floyd's hand off of my arm. Sebek was able to stabilize the broom and we were flying smoothly again.
"Booooo, you're no fun, Jade."
Jade let out a chuckle.
"Sorry, Floyd. Normally, I'd let you have your fun but there is a tad too much risk here."
My breathing normalized just in time for Kalim and Jamil to visit us on the left side.
"Hiya, (Y/N)! Good morning, Sebek!"
"Morning, Kalim! How's today treating you so far?"
"Today has been the best so far! Jamil made a delicious breakfast for the whole dorm! We also discussed planning a party for later this evening! Would you two like to join us?"
I noticed Jamil tense a bit at the mention of more people coming to the party. That man was under so much pressure that it's not even funny.
"Sorry! But I must keep watch over the Young Master at all times! I don't have time to partake in silly human activities!"
"Yeah, I have to decline as well, Kalim. Ramshackle has been in need of a clean up and I'll most likely have a bunch of homework to do tonight anyway. I hope that you have a pleasant party though!"
Kalim had a slight pout on his face before his normal smile reappeared.
"That's quite fine! Although the party won't be the same without you, (Y/N)!"
Kalim then flew ahead of us. Jamil looked at me and I gave him a wink and a smile. I wasn't really too busy tonight but I decided to do him a solid. Jamil gave a small quirk of his lips before flying after Kalim.
"First Potato."
I turned my head to the right to stare at Vil. Boy, was he as intimidating as ever?
"Sit up straight. If you keep curling into Cucumber here, your posture will be horrendous."
I nodded at Vil before trying to sit up straight. The wind decided to pick up then and there, wobbling the broom. I immediately curled back into Sebek.
"Thanks for the advice Vil but I think that I'm going to stay curled until the end of the flight."
Vil narrowed his eyes slightly before directing his attention to the front.
"Oh, le pauvre escroc! Although, I must admit that the sight of your fear brings out a completely new side of your beauty to light!"
I saw Rook upside down which made me jolt a bit. Sebek let out a grunt.
"Human! Be careful!"
"Sorry, Sebek!"
Rook only let out a laugh before going to Vil to fawn over him. The duo flew off which made me let out a sigh of relief. I'm glad that I was able to befriend those two at VDC but I won't lie that I'm terrified of what those two can do together.
"(Y/N)-San!"
Ortho's voice traveled into my ears which made me look behind myself to see him there.
"Ortho! It's nice to see you and your brother this morning!"
"Yes! Niisan prefers to skip this class but he was more than willing to go when he heard about it being a mixed class. I'm still not too certain as to why though."
"Maybe he misheard. I have no idea either though."
"Oh yeah! Niisan wanted me to ask you if you were down for playing with him tonight over voice chat! He has recently been really involved with a new MMORPG that he wants to play with you."
I thought about it before realizing that Kalim was still nearby. I couldn't just brush off one friend and not the other. Sorry, Idia.
"Sorry, Ortho but I have to clean up Ramshackle tonight. With Grim being trapped inside all day, he's sure to make a mess. Or more of a mess."
I wasn't lying about Grim being stuck inside all day. Two days ago, a freak accident happened in the cafeteria which ended up with Grim's tail being broken. I prescribed him bed rest and plenty of bandages for healing. He made a mild fit about it before realizing that I wasn't about to forfeit my ground.
"Oh."
Ortho looked a bit disheartened but I had to stay strong. It doesn't help that I see Ortho as a brother. I want the robo kid happy!
"Yeah, really sorry, Ortho. Maybe tomorrow, I can play games with Idia."
Ortho seemed to perk up at that before zooming past us to talk with Idia. Sebek was quick to fix his course with the new air ripples.
"CAREFUL OF WHERE YOU'RE FLYING!!"
"Calm down, Sebek, he's just a kid."
"Ah, youth. I hope that you young ones won't mind me joining your flight?"
Lilia made his reappearance and started to fly with us.
"Master Lilia!"
"Welcome back, Lilia! Where did you come from?"
"Khee hee hee. I was just trying to arrange something. Don't worry too much about it."
Two more people came up to fly next to us. It was Malleus and Silver! I gave both of them a wave which they returned.
"See! I thought that it would be nice for our dorm to fly together! Even if you're not part of our dorm, you're still quite a treasured friend to us all!"
"I'm honored that you won't kick me out of your dorm flying session."
We all just flew in peace for a bit but that peace didn't last for long.
"Freak wind!"
A huge gust of wind came out of nowhere causing me to lose my grip on Sebek and fall off the broom.
"(Y/N)!"
Sebek tried to grab me but sadly, he was much too slow. I kept falling before I finally hit the ground. It was so painful. A huge pain seared through my leg, back, head and arm. Oh, the times when you wish that you had magic to make all of your problems go away. Sadly, my wishes won't be answered anytime soon.
I heard a bunch of calls of my name. I tried to keep my eyes open but the pain in my head was making it insanely hard.
"(Y/N)! I found him!"
Deuce came into my line of sight and I tried to give him a smile but the look on his face made me think that my smile wasn't exactly a smile.
"Don't worry, (Y/N). You'll be fine. I know that you'll be fine. You have to be fine!"
I tried to get some words of comfort out for Deuce but the pain got too much for my brain to handle. I let out a groan and passed out. My dreams were really weird. There were a bunch of different clouds who were talking over each other. It was near impossible to make out what they were trying to say. It started to hurt my head mildly.
I was thankful when I started to wake from the dream. The voices of the clouds went quiet, giving my head the needed break from noise that it wanted. I started to open my eyes but they were really sensitive to light and there was plenty of it in the room.
"Urrrr, that's really bright."
"He's up!"
"Now that was loud."
My eyes adjusted to the light and I saw Sebek kneeling next to me. I started to look around the room more and everybody was there watching me, concern and relief were reflective in their eyes.
"Ugh, what's going on, guys?"
I tried to sit up from my lying down position but I let out a scream. It was much too painful to even sit up. Next thing that I knew everybody was surrounding me and trying to make sure that I was okay.
"(Y/N)!"
"Don't strain yourself."
"Stay down, Shrimpy!"
Everyone's face held such amounts of concern. Even Leona! I didn't even really think that he even tolerated me in the slightest! The more that the situation processed in my brain, the more funny that I found it. I even started laughing which shocked everyone around me.
"This is no laughing matter, (Y/N)! You were severely injured!"
"Sorry, Riddle, but you must admit the way that you all are acting is quite bizarre!"
Everyone looked at each other confused before returning their gazes back to me as if they wanted a further explanation.
"I mean, c'mon guys! You're treating me as if I'm a fragile glass doll that will break if someone so much as breathed on me! You've seen me fight at least five different overblots! I think that I'm strong enough to handle a bad crash."
Everyone stayed silent at what I said. Apparently, they have forgotten how much that I've been through ever since I arrived at Twisted Wonderland.
My stomach interrupted the silence with a warning that I was hungry. Leona was actually the first to react.
"Ruggie, take this and go get (Y/N) something good to eat. Don't skimp out."
"You got it."
Ruggie rushed out of the room, most likely going to the cafeteria. He really doesn't have to get me food, more importantly expensive food. I would just be happy with a bag of chips and a bottle of water to tide me over for now.
"You really didn't have to send Ruggie out to do that. I think that I could have just gotten a ghost from Ramshackle to get me the leftovers from last night."
Vil snapped his head towards me when I mentioned leftovers.
"Do you mean those unhealthy, instant foods that I've heard from Epel that you order from Sam so much?"
A mild blush appeared on my face. It's true that I haven't really gotten the chance to really have a decent meal in a few months but hey! Life on a budget was never easy!
"Yes, those foods. I didn't finish the oven pizza that I got yesterday. There should be more than enough food unless Grim ate most of it today."
Vil then turned his head to Leona.
"Tell Ruggie to order two of whatever he is getting for the prefect. He obviously needs better food choices than what he is supplying himself with."
Leona only nodded his head before pulling out his phone to text Ruggie his new order.
"At least, I'm keeping Sam in business."
Crowley then entered the nurse's office, making me slightly jump and hurt myself more.
"GOODNESS GRACIOUS! Broken bones are no joke!"
"(Y/N)! I've heard about your condition!"
Crowley also looked around at all of the students who were already there.
"Appears that the rest of our student body has enough concern for our dear magicless student."
Crowley then made his way to the bedside and looked down at me.
"Now then, we must figure out a way to make sure that you can heal quickly and safely! I am not able to handle all of your needs everyday.
Hmmmm, I'm wondering if you would be fine if a ghost just brought you meals and Grim could give you your homework that you've missed."
"Grim is out of school on injury as well, Headmage."
"Hmmm, maybe your professors would be kind enough to bring your homework to you."
"Headmage."
Crowley and I turned our heads to look at Riddle. He had a straight face but I could tell that he had a plan.
"We Heartslabyul students will be more than willing to take care of (Y/N). He has helped us out more than times than we can count, either with overblots or if someone was going to break one of our rules."
"Yeah! Besides, (Y/N) and I are like, best friends! I'd be more than happy to try and teach him the lessons that he missed! Also I'd be cursed if I didn't help him out when he really needs it."
"Since I'm also one of (Y/N)'s close friends, I can help keep him company between classes! So that he isn't too lonely during the day!"
"I can help him during meal times and create a small dessert for him everyday. It wouldn't be too much a hassle."
"And I can keep him updated on current events! #KeepingThePrefectInTheLoop!"
Ace, Deuce, Trey and Cater all seemed super excited to help me with my recovery. Although a scoff from Leona and Vil resounded in the room.
Riddle was immediately on the defense and sent one of his strongest glares their way.
"Do you two have a problem with our plan?"
Leona gave an eye roll before saying his part.
"You're really going to entrust that idiotic herbivore to catch the prefect up on the lessons that he missed? Even if you taught that herbivore by himself, I'm still certain that he still would fail his classes."
Ace got visibly angry at Leona words but was held back by Deuce. Probably because the Headmage was still in the room.
Vil put in his thoughts next.
"None of you will actually take care of the prefect in the way that he deserves. I doubt anybody would be willing to make sure the prefect stays presentable even in casts."
Trey and Cater looked between themselves before returning Vil's glare. But soon enough, something else caused an uproar amongst the group.
"But I want to help (Y/N) to get better as well!"
Kalim looked very determined to be useful to me before looking over to Jamil with pleading eyes.
"Right, Jamil? We want to make sure that (Y/N) gets the utmost of care!"
"Kalim's right. I doubt that any of you had to take care of someone who was sick. I've been in the caretaker role so I think that we are most likely the best to assure (Y/N)'s quick recovery. Kalim has also had experience with taking care of his younger siblings as well."
A loud thud was heard from behind Jamil which got everyone's attention drawn to Sebek.
"NONE OF YOU SHALL HELP THE HUMAN! IT WAS MY OWN SHORTCOMINGS THAT CAUSED THE HUMAN TO BE INJURED IN THE FIRST PLACE! THUS I SHALL TAKE UP EACH AND EVERY DUTY MYSELF!"
Soon enough, there was a whole yelling match between all of the dorms on who would be able to take care of me. Soon enough, Crowley had enough of the fighting and silenced them all.
"ALRIGHT!
While I'm moved to tears by seeing all of my students work together for a common goal, we still must come up with a schedule to make sure that Mr. (Y/N) gets the care that he needs.
Thankfully, my quick thinking has come up with the perfect solution!
Mr. (Y/N) will stay here in the nurse's office and each day a different dorm will take care of him. Heartslabyul on Monday, Savanaclaw on Tuesday, etc, etc."
Everyone reluctantly nodded to the plan. It sounded like a good plan considering that everybody would get what they want in the end. There was some mild awkward silence before Ruggie kicked open the doors with his hands full of food.
"Okay, so I bought twenty meals because that was all that I could have afforded with Leona's money plus haggling."
Leona facepalmed before letting out a groan.
"You useless hyena, I wanted you to get at least fifty meals with that money."
Thus started the crazy recovery scheme between all of the dorms.
Heartslabyul's day was probably one of the most relaxing days that a person like me could have. At the start of every day, Trey would come in and bring me a homemade breakfast. It always was some sort of pastry like pancakes, waffles or croissants. For the first two weeks, mainly because of the pain that I would acquire if I moved too much, Trey spoon fed me my breakfasts. I promised him that I would pay him back for meals but he always told me that it wouldn't be necessary.
"There's no reason to repay me, (Y/N). I'm used to taking care of my younger siblings."
Then throughout the day, Cater and Deuce would visit at random times. I'm ninety percent certain that Cater skipped a good portion of his classes and clubs to hang out with me. He would stay late into the night as well, taking pictures or showing me random memes that he found funny. Though per my demand, he would put his phone away and ignore it while we played a board game that he 'borrowed' from the board game club.
"Time for a new pic for the cam! I'm going to title this one 'Brothers Night In!'"
Deuce would come during the breaks between our classes to either lightly talk about what happened during class or tell me how much that he missed me during classes.
"I've never truly realized how boring classes are without you there."
Lunch is always spent with Riddle. He brings personally brewed tea for both of us to enjoy! He also makes sure that I'm properly taken care of and that none of his dorm members were slacking on their jobs.
"You're happy with how my dorm members are doing? Good. I'm glad that they are upholding your expectations. If they ever let you down, let me know. I'll make sure that they know better than to disappoint my family."
Finally, Ace is probably the person that I see the least of but considering what I know about him, it's quite believable that he wouldn't be there as often as the others. He does get me my homework and brings me dinner though.
"Yo, little bro! Sorry for being late with your stuff today! Basketball club started straight after school today. Let's eat before we start getting work done!"
Savanaclaw is next. To be honest, with only three of them throughout the day, it is quite hectic. Especially with Leona as one of the caretakers. Since Leona normally skips classes, he now sleeps in the nurse's office with me all day. Sometimes, if he doesn't fall asleep, we end up having a pleasant talk. He also makes sure that I'm comfortable with extra blankets if I'm cold or more pillows if the bed isn't soft enough. He does get mad if I try to situate the blankets myself.
"Stop squirming. Let your pride watch over you for a while."
Ruggie was the most hardworking out of the three. He had to get meals for me and Leona. Not to mention that a good majority of time he was trying to convince Leona to go at least to one of his classes on Tuesday. I told him that if he was too busy with Leona, he doesn't have to take care of me.
"Don't worry about me, (Y/N)! I always take care of the younger ones at home, you're no different!"
Jack was quite useful with teaching me all that I missed. He takes everything slowly which I appreciate! Alchemy has been really hard for me ever since I've arrived in Twisted Wonderland. It's like chemistry and I nearly failed when I took that.
"Did you understand that? Good. The last time that I had to teach like this was with my younger siblings when they wanted to learn how to snowboard."
Wednesday is one of those days that I can't wait for it to end. Floyd doesn't care what hurts me exactly. He sometimes just picks me up from my bed and carries me around campus.
"Why are you crying, Shrimpy? Elvers like you need all of the fresh air that they can get~!"
Normally after many tears and a majority of my day, Jade arrives and relieves Floyd of his job. Floyd always puts up a fight telling Jade that he isn't done playing with me but Jade reminds him of whatever Azul needed him to do now. Floyd becomes quiet before trudging off, a scowl on his face. Jade then normally takes me back to the nurse's office with an apology.
"I must apologize for my brother. He doesn't understand that you need your rest, (Y/N). He called you an 'elver'? Well, I won't disagree with him but don't worry. It's not an insult."
All of the meals on Wednesday are supplied by the Mostro Lounge per demand of Azul. Floyd packed breakfast and lunch for us to prevent me having to be stuck in the office all day. Dinner is the only meal that I can enjoy in a comfortable position. Azul personally delivers it to me and provides a small bit of entertainment for me.
"I do hope that the food is to your liking! I would hate for a fry to go hungry during the time that they need to heal!"
When it comes to Scarabia's turn, it's probably the most organized day. That might be because Jamil is in charge of most of the things when it comes to taking care of me. He always comes with handmade meals, extra pillows in case the ones that I've been laying on have lost their fluff, etc, etc. He always seems to know what I want.
"Here you go. A light novel for you to read to make sure that you aren't bored in bed all day. How did I know that you wanted something to read? Call it 'Caretaker's intuition'."
Kalim didn't really have anything to help me get better but his charismatic personality always made my day! After school, we would just talk about the most random things to pass the time. Kalim's most favorite subject to talk about though is his home. He talks as if I've been there before though.
"And then we all went swimming! Where did we go swimming? (Y/N)! You know that we have a pool back at home!"
Pomefiore's day is quite restless for me. Before the sun is even up, Vil is there, doing a two hour long skincare routine for me. There have been times where I've almost fallen back asleep while he was taking care of my skin. Normally, if that does happen, he flicks my forehead which wakes me up immediately.
"The others may have let you become lazy but I won't let that continue on any longer. I'll make sure that you're properly taken care of. I refuse to let my junior deteriorate anymore."
Rook likes to randomly surprise me during the day and give me plenty of compliments about my strength. His weirdness was fully on display but to be honest, I always loved when Rook was true to himself. It was also fun to look at his Neige scrapbook!
"Magnifique! I'm so overjoyed that my Jeune Chercheur de Beauté is being inspired by my collection! Don't worry mon protégé, Je ferai un album à votre beauté bien assez tôt!"
Epel comes to visit to give me my homework before setting up his own work to do with me. Surprisingly, we don't talk that much during the time that we do hang out, preferring to enjoy each other's presence in silence. When we do decide to talk, it's always short but I enjoy having them.
"Rook and Vil did what? Ah can never understand those two. But I'm glad ya can put up with them."
Saturday is when the Shroud brothers come to visit, it's the only time that Idia will actually leave his room to visit me or maybe another reason gets him out and about. I'm not too certain anymore mainly because I don't know how Idia functions half the time.
"u-u-um! hiya, (Y/N)-San! ugh, this is so embarrassing. i-i-i-i brought my portable gaming set up so that we can beat all of the other normies online! if there were people in classes today, i would totally have dreaded this more."
To balance Idia's nerves, Ortho was nearly sparking with excitement! He was in his alchemy outfit and running constant tests on me. Although he would make sure to cheer Idia and I on whenever we were either having a hard time or won a hard match!
"Niisan and Ani are so awesome! Everyone else will see how cool the two of you are together!"
Then comes Sunday. The second most hectic day of any week. I at least don't get hurt. All that I get is mild deafness in one of my ears. Sebek doesn't leave my side while begging for my forgiveness for letting this happen.
"PLEASE FORGIVE ME, (Y/N)! I'M SORRY THAT I FAILED YOU AS YOUR OLDER! I WILL NEVER LET SOMETHING HAPPEN LIKE THIS AGAIN TO YOU! I PROMISE THAT I WILL PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING THAT I CAN!"
Silver was thankfully calmer than most of the others. Although he did have his own overprotective tendencies but was amazingly more organized than anybody else's! Especially for a sleepy guy.
"Sebek, you should think about getting (Y/N) some food if you want him to forgive you."
Lilia would actually prevent Silver's plan from working by bringing in his own food for me to eat. Fun fact: I can amazingly stomach his food. Considering that I'm ninety five percent certain that I should have food poisoning, his food doesn't even taste all that bad.
"Here you go, my little bat! A nice, warm meal that will fill you up! Don't be shy about engorging yourself! There's more than enough."
Malleus is probably the person who was the most affected by my injuries. He wouldn't really talk with me but just look over my casts with what could best be described as melancholy.
"I'm so sorry, my dear Child of Man. I should have never let this happen to you in the first place. I've failed you as a friend. Trust me, I promise you this as the Prince of Briar Valley, I will never let anything hurt you again."
This cycle continued on for a little over ten weeks. What was supposed to be a seven week recovery was heavily deterred by a reckless Floyd Leech. But I was so excited to be able to move on my own for the first time in a little over two months! When the nurse gave me the okay to move, I tried to stand on my feet right away. I didn't even wait for anybody to appear. I am so relieved that I can take care of myself again and no longer be a burden to everybody.
"Okay, I've got this! One, two, and up we go!"
I got up onto my feet and while I did wobble for a bit, I was pretty sturdy for someone who hasn't used their legs in a while. I didn't try anything risky like jumping or running but I was walking little laps around the nurse's office. The nurse gave me plenty of encouragement to try bigger strides or other things to improve my movement.
It was all fun and games until it was time for my guests to come in. Since it was a Wednesday, Floyd was the person who came in first to see me walking around on my feet.
"SHRIMPY! You're supposed to stay in bed!"
"I don't have to stay in bed anymore, Floyd! The nurse gave me the okay this morning! Besides, even if I was in bed, you would have just picked me up and carried me halfway across campus."
"That's not the point, Shrimpy! Elvers can't really take care of themselves without their swarm protecting them!"
"Floyd, this is a good thing! Besides, what is an elver anyway? You've been calling me one ever since I was injured. And I don't have a swarm!"
"Yes, you do! Jade and I are your swarm! We can't be having our little brother putting himself at risk!"
I went silent at what Floyd said. Little brother? I'm not their little brother. Floyd is known for going off in his own world from time to time but... I'm actually starting to worry that something happened to him.
"Floyd? Are you feeling alright?"
"Of course I am, Shrimpy! Although, you walking around as if you're some stingray, did give me a bit of a fright~"
"I wanted to make sure, Floyd, you do realize that I'm not your little brother right?"
"What are you talking about, Shrimpy? You've always been our little brother! Shrimpy can be soooooo forgetful sometimes~"
"No, Floyd. I'm not your brother."
Floyd's lazed/relaxed facial expression turned into a scowl when I tried to press the fact that we're not related. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a light, warning squeeze.
"Shrimpy, I'm not in the mood to hear lies from you. You ARE my little brother, an elver, and you are not ready to walk around the school by yourself."
If Floyd squeezes me now, there's a good chance that something will break again and I will have to be bed ridden again. I can deal with Floyd acting as if I was a baby eel for a little while. He'll get bored after a short while with this.
"Okay, okay, sorry Floyd. I think hitting my head from my fall must have caused me to forget some things."
"It's okay, Shrimpy~ You can be stupid from time to time but that's because you're still growing~ Soon enough, you're going to be as long as Jade and I! Now back to bed you go!"
Floyd picked me up and plopped me back down on the bed. The nurse tried to explain to Floyd that I was fine to walk on my own. He didn't take it kindly.
"Are you trying to tell me how to take care of my younger brother? Sounds like a nurse shark wants to be squeezed today~"
The nurse backed down after that. I don't blame him though. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Floyd's aggressions. Floyd didn't look away from the nurse and looked like he was going to attack the nurse anyway. I had to do something before Floyd acted on his impulses.
"So, Floyd, what do you have planned for us today? I really want to bond with my big brother some more!"
I've never seen Floyd's head turn so fast or his expression change more than it did right then. For a second there, Floyd's smile could actually challenge Kalim's smile for the brightest smile in the world.
"Oh, I'm so glad that you asked, Shrimpy~! I originally planned on taking us to the Mostro Lounge so that we can swim for a bit, then we could go find Goldfishie and bother him for a bit and finally, end the day with some basketball! Buuuutttttt I think that we should just take it easy today and just talk. You've already had enough action today with that scary walking stunt that you had this morning. Right, Shrimpy?"
Floyd's expression changed once again. His eyes held a dangerous glint that threatened me to agree with him. I only nodded my head because I don't trust my voice to stay strong.
"Gooooooddd~"
Floyd and I talked and ate together in the nurse's office for a majority of the day. I was quite shocked by the fact that Floyd fought his mood swings away. He mentioned multiple times how bored he was and how he wanted to go bother someone or go do something but what he said afterwards is the reason why I really need to talk with Jade.
"But... I need to protect Shrimpy~ So many predators here would love to sink their teeth into a yummy elver~"
I don't think I've ever been more happy to see Jade walk into the nurse's office. Nor do I think I've ever seen Jade so shocked before.
"Oh, you were actually telling the truth."
"What~? Why would I lie to you?"
"Apologies but I truly thought that you would have ran off by now."
"Yeeeeeessshhh. Nice to know how much you trust me, Jade. But we need to have a talk."
I raised an eyebrow at Floyd. What did they need to talk about? Probably some Mostro Lounge business that I can't know about.
"Shrimpy here was walking around on his own two legs this morning!"
Jade looked even more shocked at Floyd's words. He was quick to rush to my bedside and pulled out his pen. It started glowing but I was just confused as to what he was doing exactly.
"There's no life threatening damage but that doesn't mean that there is no damage at all. What were you thinking, (Y/N)? You shouldn't be putting your body under strain."
"The nurse said that I was okay to move around again. I'm no longer in pain whenever I move, Jade!"
"Oi, Shrimpy, watch your tone. There's no reason to talk to your older brother like that."
Floyd grabbed my hand and started to squeeze it. It got so harsh that I started to writhe from the pain.
"Easy on him, Floyd. Remember what we've learned about children. When they act up, it's because they don't think that they're getting enough attention. (Y/N) here probably just feels very neglected."
"What?!"
"Riigghhtt! Shrimpy must be acting up because I didn't take him on adventures like I normally do! Shrimpy, if you were feeling suffocated in this room, you could have just told me! I wouldn't be mad~!"
Floyd then let go of my hand and pressed a light kiss to my palm. As if that would take away the pain. Jade only nodded his head before picking me up bridal style.
"Jade?! Put me down now!"
"Now, now, I know that elvers like you want to move on their own but Floyd and I cannot have you risk your health and safety anymore. Come along, Floyd. Let's go see Azul."
"Yippee! Let's go on an adventure!"
Floyd busted the doors down to the ground and made sure that Jade had a clear path of walking. Jade took his time walking with me in his arms. Eventually, we made it to the main area of the school where there were many more students. I swallowed very harshly. One misstep and I was going to be hurt once again. Thankfully, it turns out that the tweels had a plan before I did.
"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! SHRIMPY COMING THROUGH!"
Floyd ran throughout the hallway full force, either scaring or pushing students out of the way, giving Jade a safe pathway to walk and carry me through. I still had a bunch of bandages on me and when Floyd would drag me around normally, students would be in classes. Now, it was passing time for certain classes. Everybody was staring at me and I felt my face burn with embarrassment. I buried my face into Jade's blazer and heard him chuckle.
"Don't laugh at me."
"Sorry, (Y/N). I just wished that I knew how cute my younger brother could be."
"I'm not your younger brother."
"Don't be silly, (Y/N). Of course, you are! If you weren't, why would Floyd and I be taking care of you?"
"Because we're friends?"
"Nonsense. If Azul was in your situation, I assure you..."
Jade shifted my head so that I could see his very sharp teeth.
"He would not be getting the same treatment that you are."
I shut up after that. It's times like these when I question which Leech twin is worse to deal with. Floyd is loud and destructive but Jade is always unassuming which results in me forgetting why I should be wary of him as well. As soon as either Floyd, Jade or Azul is done and bring me back to the nurse's office, I'm heading straight for Ramshackle. Don't care if I have to sit on my butt to go down the stairs, I'm sleeping in Ramshackle tonight.
"Phew! I think I cleared the way enough. See, Shrimpy! Now you're getting plenty of fresh air and we're having a fun adventure like a family! Ahhh~ I can't wait for the day that we can terrify all of these boring guppies together!"
I looked at Floyd and gave him a meek smile. I already tried both of the tweels to get out of this situation to no avail. Last thing that I needed was to upset both of them.
"Good job, Floyd. Would you like to hold our younger elver for a while?"
"Yes!"
I was passed to Floyd's arms. He gave me a light squeeze before starting to skip through the hallways. I've never felt so much like a doll before.
"Mr. (Y/N)!"
Professor Trein! My savior!
"Why were you not in class today? The nurse told all of the staff that you were healed enough to go to class this morning!"
"Ehh~ Red Squid sensei, Shrimpy her-"
"I do not care for what you have to say, Mr. Leech. Mr. (Y/N) now must get to class. Put him down and run off to your own classes."
Floyd glared at Trein before, reluctantly putting me down on my feet. I was slightly wobbly but thankfully, Trein let me lean on him. Jade and Floyd just continued to glare at Trein until we both were out of their line of sight.
"Thank you, Professor Trein. I really appreciate you helping me out there."
Trein gave me a perplexed look before pulling me off to the side.
"What do you mean 'helping', Mr. (Y/N)?"
I gave Trein the quick rundown of what happened this morning. He knew that I was injured but he didn't know about the tweels' behavior.
"That about sums it all up."
Trein had a look on his face as if I were a ghost. Or some rare creature considering we see ghosts all of the time.
"This is far more concerning than their normal behaviors. Mr. (Y/N), I recommend staying away from the Leech twins. It would be the best for your own safety."
My heart filled up with unease at Professor Trein's words. I hated the idea of just ghosting Floyd and Jade but I do think that some time away from them would do me some good and vice versa.
I nodded my head before following Trein to Alchemy class. Our entrance was really loud mainly because we had a test in class today. My normal first year crew was there but also a good portion of third years was also there. Turns out it was another mix class. I turned my attention to Professor Crewel, who was writing furiously at his desk.
"Ah. The mutt has finally arrived. Did you already give him detention, Trein?"
"No."
Professor Crewel's pen stops mid-motion before Crewel lifted his head, looking at Trein with disbelief.
"How come?"
"He wasn't ditching class on purpose. Floyd and Jade were preventing him from coming to class."
All of the writing pens went still and the room reached new levels of silent. Everybody was now looking at me with concern. All of them knew that if the Leech twins have any interest in you, you are in trouble.
Crewel and Trein seem to have a silent conversation before Crewel stands up.
"All of you puppies, continue your tests! Mutt, take your seat and don't cause a mess. Professor Trein and I have some things to discuss."
I only gave Crewel a quick bow when he was leaving the room with Trein before taking the only seat left in the class. Between a first year that I don't know very well and Trey.
Trey looked over at me. I gave him a quick smile to show that I was alright. He tapped the bandages on my arm, before putting a dramatic frown. I waved my hand before putting my fingers to the corner of my lips and lifted them into a smile.
Crewel walked back in and Trey and I stopped miming to each other. I just sat there staring at my blank desk while waiting for everyone to finish with their tests.
"Mutt."
I raised my gaze to meet Crewel's stare. I couldn't stop myself from flinching. It felt like he was staring into my soul slightly.
"Y-yes, Professor?"
"I want to talk with you after class. Don't try to escape with the crowd."
"Yes, Professor."
My voice could barely count as a whisper. I felt the pity radiating off of all the other students for me. First, I was stuck with Floyd and Jade and now, I'm going to be stuck with Professor Crewel. Oh why, oh why did the nurse have to give an okay to leave?! Why couldn't he have waited for tomorrow when Kalim and Jamil were going to visit?!
After about ten more minutes, people started to turn in their tests before leaving the classroom. I watched as Ace and Deuce left. I waved at them while they left. Ace sent me a heart symbol while Deuce gave two thumbs up. Malleus and Lilia were the next of my friends to leave. Lilia put a small bag on my desk while Malleus only stared at me. Soon enough, the only people in the classroom left were Trey, Crewel and myself. Trey already turned in his test but was just standing in front of my seat to talk with me.
"Are you sure that you'll be okay? I can stay behind if you're scared."
"I'll be okay, Trey. I do owe Professor Crewel anyway. I've been only a mutt to him for a while now. Maybe I can make it up to him."
Trey looked displeased when I said mutt but I pushed him slightly in the shoulder.
"Head on out. If you're so worried about me, you're allowed to wait for me outside. I wouldn't mind company for the trip back to Ramshackle."
Trey casted me one more sad look before leaving. After he left, Crewel stood up and took his place at my seat.
"Alright, mutt. Trein explained to me about your... situation with the Leech twins. Floyd and Jade acted highly inappropriate for it to just be written off as a casual misunderstanding. If you wish, as much as I despise taking care of the mutts of the litter, I am willing to make sure that you're safe from being torn apart by the purebreds."
I only shook my head at Crewel's offer. If Crewel did try to intervene like how Trein did, it would just cause more chaos for me. Last thing that anybody needs are angry human eels. Crewel gave me a disgusted look when I started to shake my head.
"I'm a bit offended that a mutt like you refused my services. But! I'm relieved that I don't have to protect filthy, impure mutts like you."
Crewel's words stung me a bit but in all honesty, I was used to them by now. He has always had a weird grudge against me since I first arrived at Twisted Wonderland.
"T-thank you for the offer, Sir. I'll be on my way now."
I got out of my seat and rushed out of the alchemy room with Lilia's tiny bag. Last thing that I need to do is upset Crewel even more and actually get detention for skipping. I let out a sigh of relief.
"(Y/N)!"
Deuce's voice flooded my ears before I felt him. He wrapped me in a tight hug. It caused a bit of discomfort but not as bad as Floyd's squeezes could be.
"Ouch. Hiya, Deucey!"
"Ouch? Am I hurting you?!"
"Only a tad but I know that you're doing it by accident."
"I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!"
"Calm down, Deuce. It's not a problem! What are you doing here exactly?"
"I asked them the same thing when I left the classroom."
Trey spoke up with Ace by his side.
"We're here because of the fact that you're our friend! Crewel can be so harsh to you sometimes! Really? MUTT?! At least Deuce and I get called puppies but you just get called a mutt!"
Ace continued to rant in his own world while we all just listened. Trey and Deuce agreed a lot with what Ace was saying, even as it went into dragging others.
"And who do those twins think they are?! The nurse said that you were okay to go back to classes and they prevented you from doing so?! They should be expelled for doing something like that!"
"You should really watch your mouth, Trappola."
"Yeah, Crabby. You never know who might be around to hear it."
Ace's face became paler even more than it normally is when he heard Floyd and Jade's voice come from around the corner. I totally thought that Ace was going to be a goner but amazingly, the tweels let it slide. Unfortunately, it was because their attention was laser focused on me.
"Shrimpy~~~! Let's go to the Mostro Lounge now! Elvers like you need all of the yummy food that they can get! I'm pretty certain that Crabby couldn't feed you the food that you need!"
Floyd grabbed my wrist and started pulling it, trying to drag me away from the Heartslabyul students. I started to put up some resistance against Floyd which surprisingly got his attention.
"Shrimpy, don't fight me! I only want what's best for you~"
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"
"URK!"
A collar appeared around Floyd's neck and a wind spell sent him flying backwards into Jade. Riddle, basically coming out of nowhere and in his dorm uniform, looked really, really mad. His head was reaching new shades of dark red that I don't think that the art majors of my world would be able to identify.
"FLOYD! You're not allowed to bother any of my dorm members for your own entertainment! Trey, Deuce, Ace. Grab (Y/N) and come along. We have important plans to take care of!"
"Yes, Dorm Leader Rosehearts!"
Ace and Deuce linked their arms with one of my own on each side while Trey went behind all of us to prevent either Floyd or Jade grabbing me from behind.
"YOU CAN'T JUST STEAL OUR ELVER! BRING HIM BACK!"
Floyd was screaming and throwing a fit while Jade was silent. I tried to turn my head to see if I could get a glance at either of them but Trey only put his hand on the back of my neck.
"Don't look back at them. I don't want you to be influenced by their terrible behavior."
I gulped when I heard the disdain in Trey's voice. It's so weird to hear such a negative tone from a person who is normally so chill. Ace and Deuce appeared to have agreed with what Trey said.
"It's bad enough that you had to spend every Wednesday with those three. Who knows what damage they did to you?"
"Yeah! We're going to make sure that you're far away from bad influences!"
I thought about what Ace said before I started laughing.
"What are you laughing about?"
"Ace. You are the king of bad influences. Before my fall, you wanted me to join you in putting five bath bombs into each toilet that is in the main building. I had to restrain you from doing that."
"Shhhhhh, we don't need to talk about that."
"Ace, I'll be having a talk with you later."
Riddle turned his head to glare at Ace. Deuce and Trey started snickering at the interaction between Ace and Riddle. They started to bicker about whether or not Ace deserves to be punished.
"I DIDN'T DO IT!"
"Your thoughts will soon become your actions! If (Y/N) wasn't there, you would have done it!"
"okay, that might have some truth BUT I STILL DIDN'T DO IT!"
After about five minutes of walking, we reached the Pop Music Club room. Cater, Kalim and Lilia were rocking out and they appeared to be having a blast. Ace and Deuce let go of my arms and I got closer to their makeshift stage. Sometimes I wish that I was better at playing an instrument so that I could join them but... I think that I would only bring down their performances.
After about two minutes of them not realizing that we were there, Cater took notice and appeared to have gone through a mental pause. Because he stopped singing and playing, Lilia and Kalim stopped playing their instruments as well.
"(Y/N)!!!"
Kalim lunged at me from behind his drums to enwrap me in a hug. I was mildly prepared but it still ended up hurting me.
"Ow, hiya, Kalim!"
Kalim didn't react to me saying ow like how Deuce did before.
"You're walking! Oh, that's amazing news! I'll get Jamil to host a huge celebration for the fact that you can move around again! I'm thinking fifty purple peacocks and plenty of golden camels will be a good start for your parade!"
Kalim went off into a planning scheme. I tried to get him to stop for Jamil's sake. There's no telling what Jamil might do if Kalim does something like this.
"I don't need all of that. Promise."
"Dorm leader Rosehearts, what brings you here? Did Ace-chan and Deuce-chan mess things up again?"
Cater's teasing tone triggered Ace and Deuce's need to defend themselves from the teasing.
"Kidding, kidding~!"
"I was tasked by the Headmage to deliver these papers to you. He made it very clear that you need to have these papers filled out by tomorrow morning."
Cater took the papers before turning his attention to me.
"Yo, (Y/N)-chan's out of bed! I need a photo of this!"
Cater was quick to get to my side and put his arm around my shoulders. Kalim and Lilia were quick to get in the picture as well before Cater took many photos.
"Perfect!"
"Ah, my little bat! Did you like what I made for you~?"
Oh, right! I forgot about the bag that Lilia gave me. I quickly grabbed it from my pocket and opened it. Inside were little black things that I think were supposed to be cookies.
"Cookies?"
"Correct! I was trying out a healthier recipe that would be able to heal you faster! But it seems that my hard work wasn't needed after all. Makes me a bit sad."
"Don't feel bad! I'm not a hundred percent better yet. Just good enough to walk around by myself."
Lilia's face fell while I grabbed one of the 'cookies'. I popped one into my mouth. The taste exploded in my mouth and I had to shake my head to try and get used to the taste. Lilia's cooking can send your soul into the next five dimensions sometimes.
"He let you walk without a complete bill of health?!"
"No, he did. The fact that he said that I was good enough to walk is a clean bill of health."
"Is that true? Humans have such a lazy way of taking care of the injured."
I only nodded, mainly because trying to convince Lilia that this was the better way for humans to recover would be near impossible. Although I had to admit, even though Lilia's cooking blasted my taste buds to new dimensions, Kalim's tight hug around my waist stopped aching.
"(Y/N). We must be on our way."
Riddle came up to me with Ace, Deuce, Trey and Cater behind him. I guess that Pop Music Club was done for the evening. I start to move forward but Kalim's grip tightened. I couldn't move an inch away.
"Why does he have to go with you? Jamil and I are going to be watching him tomorrow!"
"W-w-wait a-"
"Because he needs someone who can actually watch over him during the last stages of his recovery."
"Jamil and I are plenty responsible!"
Kalim was showing a completely different side of him. He seemed really possessive.
"Are you denying an order from me, Kalim?"
"Maybe I am!"
"Kalim."
Everybody then turned their heads to Jamil, who I believe was there to pick up Kalim.
"Yeah, Jamil?"
"We need to get going."
"Got it!"
Jamil started to walk, leaving Kalim still in the club room. Kalim seemed conflicted on whether or not to let go of me before settling on picking me up by my waist before running after Jamil.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow!"
"Wait a minute!!"
Kalim was much too fast for the other guys and caught up to Jamil with no problem.
"Jamil! (Y/N)'s feeling better! He can walk now!"
"I heard."
"He's also spending the night in the dorm!"
Jamil stopped before turning around to see me in Kalim's arms.
"H-hi... Jamil..."
Jamil had a mild wide eyed look while he was staring at me. I saw him take a deep inhale before closing his eyes and exhaling. He schooled his expression before continuing on with walking.
"Hello, (Y/N). Kalim. You know that I don't appreciate it when you bring in random guests without notifying me."
"Huh? But I thought you were the one who wanted (Y/N) to visit once he was feeling better?"
Jamil made a choked noise. That piece of news was interesting to hear from Kalim. I always thought that I was a further burden on Jamil's shoulders, not to mention the fact that I prevented his coup. Why would he want me to visit?
"Kalim. What have I told you about sharing private conversations?"
"It wasn't private! We had it in the kitchen. Many of the other Scarabia students agreed with having him over when you proposed the idea."
Jamil seemed to be getting more and more flustered at what he said. I felt bad.
"Kalim, maybe you shouldn't tease Jamil."
"I'm not teasing him!"
"You... kind of are."
"Oh. Sorry, Jamil!"
Jamil just decided to hide his face in his hoodie. I kept my eye on him. I made the mental note to try and apologize to Jamil later. I knew how Kalim got on his nerves very easily. We eventually made it to Scarabia and I was allowed to use my feet again.
"(Y/N)!"
I was surrounded by all different Scarabia students. They all had things in their hands. Apparently, back when I first got hurt, Kalim was very upset and told everybody about the news. I didn't realize how much the Scarabia students liked me because they ended up either making or buying things for me!
"Here! A stuffed parrot! Don't worry! It's only cloth and stuffing!"
"I know that you're almost fully healed but here. This is a cream that I use on injuries to soothe them."
"(Y/N)! As a thanks, I made you one of my mom's recipes! I messed up a lot of times in the kitchen but I think that you'll enjoy the outcome!"
I was mildly overloaded with all of the gifts.
"Thank you so much but you really didn't need to do all of this for me!"
"Nonsense, (Y/N)! You deserve all of this and so much more! Come along! Let's sit down while you continue to get gifts!"
Kalim pulled me along and sat me down on a cushion. I nearly melted in it. Compared to the cushions at Ramshackle or the nurse bed, it felt as if I was sitting on a cloud. I set the few gifts that I was holding down and that's where the other gifts were being put down.
"Kalim."
Kalim turned towards me with a shining look in his eyes. I felt so bad.
"I don't feel right accepting all of these. I haven't done anything to deserve all of this! All that I did was get hurt!"
"Shhhhh, (Y/N)! You shouldn't worry about it! You're Scarabia's little brother! We just want to spoil you!"
"WHAT?!"
LITTLE BROTHER?! What is wrong with everyone today?!
"Awww, (Y/N), don't get fussy! I know! Jamil!"
Kalim grabbed me in a hug. My back was against his chest and we were so close that I could feel his heartbeat. I tried to get out of his grip but Lilia's cookies were starting to wear off. The aches and pains were starting to come back. Jamil came from the kitchen, no longer having his hoodie covering his face.
"Yes, Kalim?"
"(Y/N) here is working himself up! Do you think that you can get him to relax?"
"Of course, (Y/N). Just look into my eyes and your worries will melt away."
I closed my eyes so fast. Jamil's unique magic was something that I never wanted to experience again.
"No! Jamil, you promised that you wouldn't do this to me again!"
"Shhhh, I won't hurt you. Just open your eyes. You'll be just fine."
I felt hands on my face and they pried my eyelids open. I was forced to stare straight into Jamil's eyes. I felt my resolve melt in a few seconds.
"There we go. Just relax. You're the little brother of Scarabia and you love being here with us. Scarabia students are the only ones with your safety in mind. The other dorms will hurt you without hesitation."
I felt my head nod. I don't understand why I was trying to fight Kalim. He only wanted to protect me.
"If another dorm member tries to interact with you, run and try to find a Scarabia student. They'll keep you safe."
I nodded my head again. A smile broke out on my face. A feeling of security enveloped me. I was so happy that my big brothers were around me. They just want to keep me safe.
"Are you done, Jamil?"
Kalim spoke in a whisper. I didn't completely understand why.
"Yes. He'll no longer give us trouble."
"Yay! Now! (Y/N)! How about after everyone finishes giving you their presents, we can throw a huge celebration for your return home!"
A giggle left my mouth.
"I love that idea, Big Brother Kalim."
About five days passed by while I was in Scarabia. I raised my concerns about my classes but Kalim or Jamil told me that everything was fine. That I didn't need to go to classes anymore. For some reason, that caused a part of my mind to grow uncomfortable with that thought. Why was I so determined to go to class? The other dorms would be in those classes! They'll hurt me!
"Are you sure that you guys have to go? Won't the other dorms hurt you guys as well?!"
Fear coiled around my heart like a snake for my big brothers. They were all so brave for going out into the school.
"Don't worry about us, (Y/N)! We can handle ourselves!"
"Besides, don't you remember?"
I looked at Jamil straight in the eyes.
"You're too weak to defend yourself."
My mind got muddled but I nodded my head yes.
"Yeah, you're right. I keep forgetting for some reason."
"Hehehehe! Don't worry, (Y/N)! I forget important things too! I wouldn't worry too much about it! Just rest in Scarabia and you'll be just fine!"
"If you say so, big brother!"
I waved everyone off before taking my seat in the lounge room. I took deep breaths to calm my heart before closing my eyes. I don't know why I always feel so worried about them leaving. They're strong unlike me.
I dozed off for a while. My dreams felt so life-like. I could have sworn that I was lifted off the ground by a million butterflies and was flown around the outside of Scarabia to enjoy the sun and scenery. Although I was given the biggest heart attack when I awoke.
I opened my eyes to see, well, nothing! There was just darkness. I haven't seen such darkness in a while. Ramshackle used to be very dark when I pulled the blinds shut but... Wait a minute, what's Ramshackle?
I heard footsteps echoing outside of the room that I was in. Maybe it was Jamil or Kalim? But why would my brothers pull such an awful prank on me? I soon got my answer. It was neither Kalim or Jamil.
The man who looked at me was wearing a deep purple outfit. It was like a dress without it being a dress. His hair was done really fancy and there appeared to be a crown on his head. I was terrified. It wasn't a Scarabia uniform which meant that this was probably someone from a different dorm! He's going to hurt me!
I let out whimpers. If I actually had a shot of taking the guy down, I would have screamed but I'm not strong enough to defend myself from him. The blonde man glared down at me.
"First Potato. Don't whimper. It isn't a good look on you."
The nickname rang bells in my head but I don't recognize him at all.
"Wh-who are you?"
The man appeared shocked by my question.
"What do you mean 'Who are you'? You know me quite well, First Potato!"
I shrunk when he raised his voice. He quickly noticed and tried to remedy his mistake.
"I apologize for scaring you, (Y/N). But I just can't believe that you forgot about me."
I stared at him and my mind was itching. It was most uncomfortable. Why did I feel like I knew him?
"Are you going to hurt me?"
The man looked appalled at the words that I said.
"Hurt you? Why would I hurt you? (Y/N). Nobody here wants to hurt you. It was bad enough that that Cucumber let you fall but I assure you that I will not cause you any harm. I owe you much better."
"Are you sure, Vil?"
"Hm? It appears that you do know me after all. I didn't tell you who I was."
I realized what I said. I do know this man! Vil Schoenheit! The famous model and actor! I helped him during VDC! My memories quickly came back! I had friends in other dorms! They wouldn't hurt me!
"Vil! It's a relief to see you again!"
I grabbed him in a hug and had the biggest smile on my face. A smile broke out on Vil's face as well. I felt his arms wrap around my body.
"It's a joy to see you as well, First Potato."
"But wait. Why am I in Pomefiore in the first place? I was in Scarabia for so long. I didn't think that anybody was searching for me."
"You're in Pomefiore, First Potato, because I heard from Epel that you weren't in class. I instructed Rook to go looking for you. The nurse told me and a few of the other dorm leaders that you should be back in classes last Thursday. It took Rook close to six days. Scarabia had you hidden well but thankfully, Rook overheard something from the potatoes from Heartslabyul. I can't believe what those spuds from Scarabia kept you captive!"
"Yeah, they all were acting really weird! Floyd and Jade were acting in a similar way."
Vil tilted his head slightly.
"How exactly were they acting?"
A sigh escaped my lips.
"They keep acting as if I'm their younger brother and that I can't do a single thing for myself! For crying out loud! I took care of overblots, I fought ghosts and students who decided to pick a fight, I took care of Ramshackle nearly by myself! I'm not a little boy!"
I clenched my hands into fists. What has been happening really has taken a huge toll on my mental state. Tears of frustration started to pool in the corners of my eyes.
"Calm down, First Potato. You're working yourself into dismay. You wouldn't want your eyes puffy, now do you? Follow my actions."
Vil coached me through a breathing exercise. I felt my panic ebb away and the tears no longer forming.
"Thank you again, Vil. I'm just really tired right now."
Vil gave me a pat on my head, which made me smile.
"It's not a problem for me, First Potato. But you shouldn't sleep any more. Naps can be useful in case of a bad night's sleep but I'm certain that you got plenty of sleep in Scarabia."
I nodded my head. Last night was the only night that there wasn't a huge party if my memory is correct. Although, I really wouldn't trust it for the fact that I was under a lot of mind control during that time.
"So, instead of taking a nap, we're going to do some other relaxing activity. You're lacking a certain glow that you normally have."
Vil grabbed one of my hands before pulling me out of the room. He led me through the hallways of Pomefiore before stopping in front of a different room. He knocked on the door pretty loudly.
"Rook! Come out please!"
The door opened swiftly and there was Rook in all of his glory.
"Roi du Poison! Oh, and my Jeune Chercheur de Beauté! It's wonderful to see you awake from your slumber although..."
Rook's smile turned into a scary smirk.
"Your sleeping face gave me the most euphoria that I've ever experienced! There was nothing more that I wanted than to split your head open and crawl inside to see what made you so calm and happy in your dreams."
Rook went on a tangent and I was starting to get uncomfortable. Rook can really go into the smallest details that even a person who spends a whole day in front of a mirror wouldn't notice.
"Rook."
Rook stopped mid sentence before clasping his hands together.
"Right! Forgive me, Roi du Poison! I got lost in my Trickster's beauty. Now, what may I do for you, my Lovely Queen?"
"I want you to take (Y/N) and get him some proper clothing. Those rags that Kalim and Jamil made him wear are quite insulting."
I looked down at my clothes. I didn't even realize that I was wearing a Scarabia uniform! When did I get changed?!
"Oui, oui, Beautiful Vil! I'll make sure that he is put into clothing that compliments your and his beauty perfectly! Now, come with me, Jeune Chercheur de Beauté. Let's get your beauty to shine above all others."
Rook left his room and started to guide me from behind. He kept a tight grip on my shoulders and started to push me towards somewhere else in Pomefiore.
"This way, this way, Trickster."
"Where are we going, Rook?"
"You'll see!"
I let out a light laugh. To be honest, this is probably the most fun that I've had ever since I was released from bed rest. Although Grim is probably freaking out by now.
"Here we are!"
I was jostled out of my thoughts when Rook opened a very large room. I was in awe of all of the clothes there. There were so many beautiful clothes. They all appeared to be of high quality as well.
"Now! Let's find the perfect outfit to compliment your beauty!"
I lost count of how many outfits that I had tried on. Rook complimented all of them but he would always end his compliments with the same ending statement.
"While your beauty is shining bright, I know that you could be shining brighter."
We finally chose a really beautiful outfit. I remember seeing it in a catalogue that Vil had a few months ago. I did want the outfit but there was no way that I could afford it. It compliments my skin and hair perfectly.
"TRÉS BIEN!! OH, MON JEUNE CHERCHEUR DE BEAUTÉ! Je n'ai jamais vu quelqu'un briller autant que toi en ce moment! Pomefiore a tellement de chance que tu fasses partie de notre dortoir comme tous les nôtres juniors! Bien que, je dois l'admettre, si vous êtes toujours proche de moi, j'aurai toute la beauté dont j'ai besoin dans ma vie pour durer éternellement!"
"Thank you?"
"Non, non, thank YOU, Trickster! For blessing me with a wonderful sight!"
I heard a vibration and Rook pulled out his phone. A smile broke out on his face.
"Perfect timing! Come along, Mon Jeune Chercheur! Roi du Poison requires your presence."
Rook grabbed my wrist and started to lead me somewhere else in Pomefiore. I saw Epel during the trip and gave him a wave. He looked shocked before rushing to catch up with Rook and me.
"(Y/N)! Where have you been?! Ace, Deuce, and Jack have been searching for you all over school! Sebek and I have been taking care of Grim and Ramshackle for ya! Even though Grim has been really upset without you recently."
"I was... mildly kidnapped by Scarabia for the past few days."
Epel's eyebrows went up before his face contorted into a scowl.
"Those gluttonous hogs... I'll make sure that they pay!"
"We're here, Roi du Poison!"
Rook opened some other doors and inside was what I would call a full photography studio. Cameras, lights, backdrops, makeup on the side, everything! Vil was there, wearing a beautiful outfit himself and had a full face of makeup on.
"Ah, it's about time, First Potato. Ah, Epel, you've come along as well."
"Well, I really wanted to see (Y/N) again."
I was mildly surprised at how quiet Epel was being. He actually appeared to be bashful.
"Well, if you're quick enough and actually listen to instructions, you can join the photo shoot."
Epel looked shocked before a huge smile appeared on his face.
"Really?!"
"Yes, but you have to clean up and get your makeup done!"
"Right!"
Epel ran off into one of the side rooms to most likely get ready. I've never seen him listen to Vil so enthusiastically before.
"Now, come here First Potato."
I returned my attention to Vil who had his arms open to me. I walked up to him, a bit confused on what he wanted me to do. He gestured to the camera and I got the hint. I moved to in front of the camera and stood there.
"Why am I doing this?"
"We're doing this to capture your natural beauty while putting you in a low stress environment. You mentioned how you were tired and creating beautiful works of art is a relaxing activity that we can do together."
"W-w-wait, these photos won't be p-posted anywhere? Right?"
"Of course not, First Potato. I know how much you get nervous about photos of you."
I felt the tension leaving my body. Knowing that I could just have fun pictures that don't need to be one hundred percent perfect was a joy to hear. Vil kept talking to the camera man when Epel came back with an outfit of his own. It was a bit cutesy but he didn't seem too annoyed by it.
"There! I even wore the outfit you picked, Vil!"
There's his annoyance.
"Hmmmm, you rushed your makeup, hair and the outfit looks thrown on. Ugh, maybe I'm feeling more lenient because of my junior being here or I must be going crazy, but go on."
Epel jumped slightly before running to me. He even captured me in a hug.
"(Y/N)! It's a wonder to see ya again! To be honest, the school is kind of falling apart with you out of action for so long."
"Oh! That's... really not good."
NRC falling apart is the nearly last thing that I want. I mean, sure. When I first got it here, I was highly uncomfortable but now. This place is like a second home to me.
"Alright! Roi Du Poison has placed me in charge of making sure everyone is in their correct positions! Alright, Mon Jeune Chercheur! Over here!"
Rook grabbed my hands and led me over to a plain white cube. He first sat on it before positioning me on top of him.
"Um, Rook?"
"It will be fine, Trickster! Now, Epel, please come over here!"
Epel rushed over, put his hands in a crisscross position, lay them in my lap before settling his head on top of them. His head facing the camera while he was kneeling. I stayed as still as possible before Vil came over and stood behind me and Rook. He put his hand on my shoulder. It kind of felt like a family portrait.
"We need at least one formal photo before we can do more. Now, everyone, give the camera your best smile."
I looked at the camera and gave it my best smile. I hope that it's enough to make the picture look well. The photographer took many pictures of us in the position and at different angles. My eyes were mildly blotchy after that.
"There we go. Now, time for other poses."
I don't know how many hours we spent there but I must admit. It was so much fun to just have a photo shoot with my Pomefiore friends. Some of the photos were just me and Epel or me and Rook or me and Vil. Each one had a different feel. Vil's photos were more serious while Epel's photos had a more fun vibe. Rook's photos were light hearted but at the same time, my heart raced because of the look in his eyes.
"Wow, I think that I really needed this. Thanks Vil for coming up with this."
"No problem, First Potato. Although you should probably rest now. It's gotten quite dark."
"Has it?!"
I moved to leave the room and took a look outside. Sure enough, the moon was in the sky at Pomefiore.
"Oh no! I need to get to Ramshackle. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with me but I really do need to leave!"
"Wait!"
"Non!"
"Hold on-!"
I didn't wait to hear their protests before running down the hallways.
"I'll return the outfit tomorrow! I promise!"
I didn't have the time to change. I had to get back to Ramshackle. Grim will never forgive me for taking this long to recover and see him again. It took me around six minutes to reach Ramshackle and I bursted through the doors. The ghosts there looked shocked before they became overjoyed.
"(Y/N)!"
"Welcome back!"
"We've missed you!"
"Thanks for the warm welcome guys! But where's Grim?"
"Upstairs in bed!"
"Thank you!"
I ran up the stairs and quietly opened the door to see Grim curled up in a ball on the bed. I shut the door before walking to him and gently started to pet his back. He leaned into my touch before opening his eyes.
"(Y/N)!"
Grim jumped onto me to smother my face.
"Hello, Grimmy! It's wonderful to see you as well!"
Grim had a big grin on his face before his expression turned into a dark one.
"You need to leave."
Saying that I was confused would have been an understatement.
"Wh-what do you mean? Grim, aren't you glad that I'm back?"
"I am! But all of those other guys are insane! They've been talking about kidnapping you to 'keep you safe'!"
"WHAT?!"

When the little brother gets intimidated or hurt: Riddle, Leona, and Azul edition. Short stories(?)
@asillylitteseabunnyay had another wonderful idea and I got permission to write it!! I hope once again that I can do this justice. I tried to make all of the part equal but Azul's fell a tad short. Apologies. Also sorry for taking so long for not posting. I'm just trying to make sure that my writing is the highest quality it can be for people to read.
Warning: Yandere, death (Minor characters), injuries, infantilization (Maybe? Ashengrotto does get spanked), other things that I don't know how to tag.
Riddle Rosehearts
I felt a shiver crawl up my spine. That same Savanaclaw student is staring at me again. He's been staring at me ever since I started attending class with Riddle. It was only the second day of my punishment from exploring the forest.
He wants something from me but he hasn't said a word. It's honestly quite unnerving. I felt myself shake slightly. Riddle was too absorbed with the lesson to notice my discomfort. Not surprising because normally stuff like that doesn't get under my skin.
I slightly turned my head to look the Savanaclaw student in the eye. His eyes were just blank. Somehow that's worse to me than a glare full of emotions.
The bell rang which signaled that class was over. I started to help Riddle with his belongings and we quickly left the room to head back to the dorm.
"Come along, (Y/N). We have to start making preparations for the next unbirthday party."
"Yes, my Queen."
Next thing that I knew, someone stuck out their leg and tripped me. The books that I was holding went flying across the hallway. Thankfully, my reflex training kicked in and I caught myself before I completely fell onto the floor.
"(Y/N)!"
I turned my head to see who tripped me. It was the same Savanaclaw student from earlier. His eyes were still as dull as they were in class.
"Heh, so the rumors are true. A dumb little boy with strength. You'll be a perfect punching bag."
I turned my head towards Riddle to see him frozen with shock. It seems that this guy's words shocked Riddle to his core. The next thing that I knew was that my neck was grabbed and lifted far above the ground. My windpipe was being slightly crushed by his hand.
"Since your body is stronger, that means you can take more punches."
I started flailing my legs around, hoping for one of three things to happen. Either my leg would hit him and get him to release my throat, or I would stall long enough for either Riddle or a faculty to get this man to stop. Sadly, none of my preferred situations came true.
The guy punched me right in the middle of my chest, knocking the air out of my lungs and I think that I even heard one of my ribs crack a tiny bit. I opened my mouth to let out a scream but because of how tight his hand was around my throat, it couldn't escape.
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!"
Thank you, Riddle!
I started trying to regain air in my lungs with the fact that my windpipe has been allowed to reopen. I lifted my head to watch what was happening. With the Savanaclaw student now dazed, Riddle was just launching spell after spell at him. It was getting really messy. Riddle was only stopped after other Heartslabyul students restrained him.
I let out an audible gasp. I was finally able to regain the air in my lungs. I stood up and went over to Riddle and just gave him a hug. This was one of the few things that I knew that I could do to calm him down.
"Calm down, Riddle! I'm not too harmed!"
Riddle calmed down but I could tell that he was still glaring at the guy who punched me.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?!"
Professor Crewel came stomping down the hallway towards the injured student and both of us. He didn't seem very pleased with us.
"I mildly expected this type of behavior from Savanaclaw students but from you, Mr. Rosehearts? Not even in my worst nightmares."
"My deepest apologies, Professor Crewel. But you know that I wouldn't act out in such a way unless a rule was broken."
"And which rule was broken?"
"NRC has a rule that says that there will be no fights on campus. That student attacked my brother unprovoked and broke one of his ribs. The only way that I knew to dissuade him from causing more harm to my brother was to make him unable to."
"Hmmmm. I can understand the reasoning. Although I will still be having a talk with you later, Mr. Rosehearts. For now, take your brother to the infirmary to get him checked up on. I'll handle this trouble maker for now."
"Thank you, Professor Crewel. Come along, (Y/N)."
"Yes, my Queen."
I wrapped my hand around my broken rib and started walking with Riddle towards the nurse's office. I felt the anger flowing off of Riddle. I don't think that that Savanaclaw student is free from Riddle's rage just yet.
"Hey, Riddle?"
"Hmm?"
"You don't need to be angry anymore. You did quite the number on him and I'm pretty certain that Professor Crewel isn't going to let him off of the hook that easily."
"..."
Silence was not what I was hoping to hear. Silence meant that Riddle was thinking deeply and with what just happened, I really didn't want him thinking that deep.
We eventually made it to the nurse's office. The nurse gave me an ice pack and told me to stay on the bed for a while. I looked over at Riddle for permission. He gave me a nod before speaking.
"(Y/N). Your punishment is over. Now, since you're injured, you are relieved of your usual duties."
I opened my mouth to get Riddle to stay but he walked out in a rush before I could say anything. A bad feeling sunk into my stomach. The events of today caught up to my body and I fell asleep.
I don't know how long I was out for but when I reopened my eyes, I saw Deuce asleep with his head on the side of my bed.
"Deuce? What are you doing here?"
My voice sounded so rough for the fact that I had just woken up from what seemed to be about a six hour nap.
"Huh?! Oh! (Y/N)! You're up! I was tasked by Dorm Leader Riddle to keep watch over you while you slept. He also told me to bring you back to Heartslabyul when you woke up."
"Hmmmmmm. Did he tell you why he couldn't be here himself?"
Deuce stayed silent for a minute, looking up at the ceiling. It seemed that he was trying to remember if Riddle gave him a reason or if he was just happy to be able to watch over me.
"I'm not certain anymore. I sort of walked as fast as I could away from Riddle after he gave me my task."
Deuce then gave me a sheepish smile. I return a knowing smile. I don't make fun of Deuce for trying to be an honor student which gets me brownie points with him.
"Oh! We need to be on our way! I nearly forgot to take you back to Heartslabyul."
"Right. Let's see if my body is willing to let me move."
I swung my legs to the side of the bed and stood up. I felt a sharp pain in the left rib cage area but after the initial movement, I could move easier. I still had Deuce assist me with walking in case the pain decided to spike up once again.
A lovely conversation broke out between the two of us. Hearing the antics of Yuu, Deuce, Ace and Grim plus others is always enjoyable to hear. Sometimes I wish that I would be able to join them on one of their crazy events but Riddle would never allow me to.
We made it back to Heartslabyul where there seemed to be mild chaos stirring about. I don't think that I've ever seen Heartslabyul so disorganized since Riddle's overblot incident.
"Excuse us but what's happening?"
"Riddle and Leona are having a fight in the Rose Maze!"
"WHAT?!"
Deuce and I picked up the pace to the middle of the Rose Maze to see Riddle basically pick Leona up with his magic and send him flying into a thorny rose bush. The thorns were clearly sharper than the normal ones for the fact that he was bleeding quite a bit.
"GRRRR! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!"
"Are you going to discipline your dorm members finally?"
"NO!"
"Then we're not done yet."
Despite Leona already being badly injured and with thorns now stuck in his body, Riddle showed no mercy and shot multiple spells at him. He even got Cater to use Split Card to send more spells Leona's way. They're going to kill him!
"Leona-Senpai!"
Deuce was obviously freaked out as well. It's not everyday that you see people nearly destroy someone for no reason. Whipping out my own magical pen, I quickly casted a spell around Leona's foot to swing him out of the way. Of course, it worked but I didn't really think about where I was swinging him. Leona was launched straight into Deuce and myself, creating a sort of dog pile.
"AHH!"
"UGH!"
"OOF!"
I need to start thinking past stage one of my plans. Leona put a lot of pressure on my recently broken rib which got me crying out in pain.
"Well, maybe if you weren't trying to play hero, you wouldn't be in more pain now."
"Oh please, if (Y/N) didn't just launch you halfway across the world, Riddle and Cater's spells would completely fried you alive."
"(Y/N)!"
Riddle's voice broke us out of our fantasy world and triggered what seemed to be a flight response in Leona. He booked it out of there before any more spells got fired. Riddle rushed over to where Deuce and I were laying on the ground and let out a huff in anger.
"Great, he got away. He needs to be more firm with his dorm members or else, we get stuck with more scenarios like today."
"It's not Leona's fault that one of his dorm members punched me and broke my rib."
"It wouldn't have happened if Leona just actually stepped up as a dorm leader and had his members under control."
Riddle's tone was icy cold. I could tell that changing his mind once again was going to be difficult.
"How about we forget Leona for now and help me inside? I think that the Leona impact accidently reversed all of the healing that my rib got."
Riddle looked down at me and his eyes softened a bit. He kneeled down and helped me to my feet. He steadied me and we trekked back to our shared room.
I laid down on the bed, ready to go to sleep. I was expecting Riddle to join me but instead, he went to the door before telling me that he'll be back in a short while. I nodded my head. I was originally planning to stay up until Riddle came back but my body decided that it had taken enough abuse and that it wanted to sleep the pain off.
*Riddle's POV*
As much as I wanted to join my brother in sleep, I still had a job to finish. Since Leona won't take it upon himself to discipline his dorm members, I'll do it myself.
"Cater."
"Huh? Oh, hey Riddle."
Cater seemed nervous when talking with me. Might be because of what I made him do earlier. Well, I need a similar favor now.
"You're more connected with other dorm students. What can you tell me about..."
Cater and I had a long, extensive talk about this Savanaclaw student. Cater was able to find him on the internet and get even deeper with some older accounts that he had. I was grateful for the new information on this guy. Makes what I'm about to do more justified.
"Thank you, Cater. You've been of great help to me."
"Not a problem, Dorm Leader Riddle! Umm, just to make sure, you're not going to do anything brash, right?"
Cater let out a small nervous laugh and I only turned my head to look at him from the corner of my eye. He stopped quietly laughing when he saw the look in my eye. That man hurt my younger brother, tomorrow, there will be a price to pay for what he has done.
I quickly made it back to my room and fell asleep next to (Y/N). I'm glad that he was able to sleep with his injury. I'll make sure that the members from the other dorm will treat him with the respect that he deserves.
*(Y/N)'s POV*
Today is so much worse. So, so much worse. Riddle somehow got the Malleus Draconia to attack the Savanaclaw student that hurt me yesterday. My brain is still trying to make sense of the fact that Malleus came and turned the student into stone.
"Thank you, Malleus. I appreciate the fact that you were willing to help me. I will see to it myself that you get an invitation to the next unbirthday party."
"Not a problem, Riddle. When Silver told me that you requested my help with something, I wasn't expecting this. But it would be my greatest pleasure to be invited to an unbirthday party at Heartslabyul."
Malleus then left the two of us alone with the student turned stone. My brain feels more and more fried. Riddle then came over to me and put a hand on my shoulder, snapping me back to reality.
"Riddle. Why would you do something like this?"
"Because. You're my little brother. Since you're my protector, I'll be yours as well."
Leona Kingscholar
Brother A:
"Holy crap, hurry up, Epel!"
"Sorry, (Y/N)! Ah should hav warned yawl thet yawl wuz walkin' straight into Rook's shootin' range."
Epel was trying to wrap the bandages tight enough to create a blood clot. Stupid Rook and his stupid shooting. I got an arrow straight in the leg because of him! I was this close to ripping off the Hunter's head! Thankfully, Epel calmed me down and is now healing my injuries.
"Is yawl okay, (Y/N)? Chur breathin' gist got heavier."
"Yeah, I'm just... trying to figure out what to tell Leona. He banned me from A: going to other dorms and B: Seeing you guys. He can be such a stick in the mud sometimes."
"Naw way! Leona don't hav thet type uh control ovur yawl! Yore not actually gunna gist leave us behind, raht?"
"Of course not! Leona may be my older brother but that doesn't mean that I'm going to listen to him. He doesn't listen to rules anyway. Why should I listen to his?"
"Thet's uh relief. Thayure yawl go! All patched up!"
"Perfect! Now, is it okay if I hung out in Pomefiore for today? Just to lay low. Leona won't step in here willingly and I was lucky enough to have lost Ruggie on my way here."
"Uh course, yawl can stay hare! Way gist hav tuh make shore thet Vil don't say yawl. Plus Ah can finally teach yawl how tuh apple carve!"
"Lead the way, my southern friend!"
I followed Epel to a T just to avoid Vil's line of sight. I don't want to know what will happen if Vil sees me. Sadly, it did seem that my luck wasn't running high today.
"EPEL!"
"Dagnabbit it."
"What exactly is (Y/N) doing here? And more importantly looking like that?!"
My clothes are not the problem here! They be comfy and I wear them anyway!
"Well, I thought that..."
"You thought what? Speak up, Epel! How many times have I told you to not mutter!"
"I just thought that it would be okay if (Y/N) stayed here for a short while!"
Epel and Vil appeared to be in a stare off. Neither really willing to let this slide from the other. Amazingly, the saving grace here was Rook.
"Roi du Poison! Please forgive my interruption but Monsieur Brute's stay is partly my own fault! One of my arrows accidently found its mark in his leg, injuring him and ruining his beauty! Please allow him to stay here until his beauty returns back to its full glory!"
Did he just say that I have beauty? I guess that's actually not surprising from Rook. I remember when I was just talking with Jack and Rook appeared out of nowhere, fawning over Jack's dedication to his work out. Jack was creeped out while I found it funny and started joining Rook in the fawning. I think I made an accidental friend that day.
"Hmmmm, considering the fact that (Y/N) was injured on Pomefiore grounds, I believe that it's fair for him to stay. But! He must act and look like a member of Pomefiore until he can go back."
"What."
"For starters, your wardrobe. Second, your makeup and finally, your manners! Rook, please go take (Y/N) to the sewing room to get him fully fitted!"
"Of course, Roi du Poison!"
"W-wait a minute. Hold it!"
My words did nothing to stop Rook from pulling me into a random room. Next thing that I knew, I was put into an official Pomefiore uniform and was getting my hair and make up done by random Pomefiore students.
"Ouch! Either you start pulling less on my hair or I'll start pulling on your limbs!"
"Sorry! I've just never had to deal with such tangles before."
My threat got through because the student stopped tugging on my hair whenever he came across a tangle. Although during the make over, a certain smell reached my nose. The smell of blood. More importantly, my blood.
I looked down at my bandaged leg to see the entire lower leg of my outfit was drenched in blood. I needed to go see the nurse badly.
"Oh my goodness, what is that smell?!"
And now the other students have noticed it as well.
"Calm down, that's just my leg. I need to go to the nurse's office."
"Do you want some help getting there?"
"Nah, I'll be just fine getting there. Thanks for the offer though."
I started trudging my way out of Pomefiore. The last thing that I really needed was to make more of a mess for the students to clean up. I'm used to bleeding out and making my way to health and safety. This will be no different.
"Monsieur Brute!"
Okay, maybe a tad different.
"What do you want, Rook?"
"I overheard what was happening. Please allow me to assist you!"
"You really don't need to."
"Non-non, Monsieur! It's my fault that you ended up like this in the first place!"
"What?"
My ears twitched at the new voice. Ruggie. I quickly turned my head towards Ruggie to see him just standing there with a weird look on his face.
"Leona's not going to like this."
"Ruggie, don't-!"
Before I could even get my sentence out, Ruggie ran off to Leona. Crap.
"Rook. Run and hide."
"Pardon?"
"Just trust me on this."
Rook, thankfully, didn't take my advice lightly before running back into Pomefiore. I quickly turned in the direction that Ruggie went before running as fast as I can to try and catch him. My injury is very limiting right now for trying to catch people.
"(Y/N)? What ARE you doing?"
Oh boy.
"Hiya, Jack."
"Is there a reason as to why you're bleeding from your leg?"
"I got shot."
"And that's all that I needed to hear."
"Wh-what are you doing?!"
Jack picked me up and put me on his shoulders. He took off to Savanaclaw.
"Where are you taking me?!"
"Where do you think? To Savanaclaw so that you can relax while healing!"
I let out a groan before laying my head on top of Jack's. My leg started to ache so bad that I felt tears starting to form in my eyes. I felt my hand clench around Jack's arm with my nails digging into his flesh.
"Uuuuggghhhh. This is painful."
"Not used to pain?"
"Normally, I can dodge fast enough or I have adrenaline coursing through my veins that prevents the pain from coming through. This is the first time that I've actually let a wound of mine sit long enough for it to ache. I'm not used to it."
"Hmmmm."
We finally reached Savanaclaw only to run into Leona standing right in front of the mirror, looking quite cross.
"Crap."
"Drop my brother."
"He's injured."
"I said drop him."
Jack cast an apologetic look before just dropping me on my butt. It upset my leg quite a lot.
"Rgh!"
"You deserved that for not listening to me. Didn't I tell you not to go around to other dorms anymore?"
"Well, in all honesty, you're a jerk. Second of all: you don't listen to authority yourself. What gives you any right to dictate over what I do with my life?"
"Because I'm your dorm leader and your older brother. That gives me twice the power that I have over you."
"Yet, how many times have I defeated you and Falena in a fight?"
"You wouldn't win in a fight in your condition now."
"Want to test that?"
Leona and I were having a stare down, neither of us really willing to back down from what we said.
"Found him!"
I turned my head to see Ruggie, running with two other Savanaclaw students who seemed to be dragging a certain blonde hunter by his arms behind him.
"Oh no..."
"Well done."
"This took too long! He put up a really good fight but he wasn't able to fight off all three of us!"
Rook did look worse for wear. His clothes were all ripped up and there were plenty of scratches littering his body. Ruggie and the two Savanaclaw students weren't in great shape either. They all seemed to have small scrapes, most likely from Rook's arrows, and just overall, really dirty. Pomefiore's forest wasn't as clean as Vil tried to make it appear.
"You've got a lot of nerve, hunting my own brother, Hunter."
"S'il vous plaît! Roi des Lions, I would never try to hurt (Y/N)'s raw beauty on purpose! It would bring shame to the message that I try to spread!"
"Stop your gibberish. It's giving me a headache."
I started to stand up before Leona just kicked my bad leg to keep me down.
"If you know what's good for you, you would stay curled up there."
Leona then grabbed his staff before walking over to Rook.
"Leona! Seriously, this wasn't his fault!"
"Don't care."
Leona stabbed his staff deep into Rook's leg. The same leg that I got shot in.
Rook's screams pierced the air, causing my ear to flick down to try and prevent the awful noise from coming into my head. Sadly, it didn't work. It seemed that one stab wasn't enough for Leona to get his frustration out. He stabbed the same leg multiple times in different spots.
I quickly stood up before tackling one of the Savanaclaw students, who happened to be standing in line with Leona. He slammed into Leona, catching him off balance and sent him tumbling. I was quick to get the staff out of Rook's leg before pulling out my pen to heal him.
Rook, somehow staying conscious of all of this, pulled out his own pen and started firing spells to prevent any of them getting close to us.
"I apologize deeply for this, Rook."
"Non. Once again, this isn't your fault, Monsieur Brute. I can only hope that Vil has gotten the message that I sent him."
"What message?"
My question got answered real fast when I saw more spells being sent from elsewhere. Vil stepped through the mirror and quickly made his way to Rook.
"Are you alright, Rook?"
"Roi du Poison! I could be doing better but I'll be just fine, now that you've graced me with your beauty one last time!"
"Stop being a drama queen. You're going to live. Thank you, (Y/N) for defending Rook until we were able to arrive. You'll always be welcomed to Pomefiore for a retreat if you need one."
"How about a transfer? I might need one soon."
Vil only gave me a slight smile before rushing Rook off. I felt a smile creep onto my own face as well. It's really weird to make friends. My joy didn't last though for the fact that I was quickly tackled to the ground by a Savanaclaw student. I tried to get out from underneath him but he put all of his weight onto my injury.
"Stop it, you idiot! Are you trying to make me lose my leg completely?!"
"Take him to his dorm room. It's quite obvious that he hasn't learned his lesson yet."
I was picked up and rushed off to my dorm room. After I got dropped to the floor, the door slammed and locked within a matter of seconds.
"Yeah, yeah. LOVE YOU TOO GUYS!"
I struggled to stand up and sit down on my bunk. They're really trying to break me, aren't they? Well, that doesn't mean I'll let them. Come at me with your worst, Leona. I'll always come out on top.
Brother B:
That guy keeps staring at me. I don't understand what's so interesting about me? I'm just waiting tables! Maybe I could get Jade to talk to him for me? No (Y/N)! Just as Leona has always told you! Be more assertive! You can take care of him!
I took a deep breath before scanning my surroundings once again. The Mostro Lounge always looked really pretty during the evenings, which is a major reason as to why I prefer these shifts over morning or afternoon ones. Finally, I looked over to the table with the Diasomnia student and we made eye contact. I flinched at the visible perk that the guy did when I finally gave him attention. I swear if that guy was staring at me because Floyd didn't take his order again.
I took long strides over to the Diasomnia student before stopping by his table. I gave him a closed eye smile before speaking.
"Good evening, sir! Do you happen to need something from me?"
"I would appreciate it if I could have your number."
My eyes popped open at his request. It freaked me out to say the least. I've never gotten that type of attention before. I mean, I have but those were princes who were requesting for my hand in marriage, thinking that I was a girl. I gave it a few seconds to mull in my brain before shaking my head no.
"Sorry, sir. But I'm not comfortable enough to give just anybody my number."
"Well, then, what if we did something to no longer be just anybody to each other?"
"Well, I appreciate the offer, sir but I'd rather not though."
"Come on, please."
"No, sir."
I turned on my heel to walk away but he grabbed my wrist in a bruising grip.
"Ow! Ow! Let go, sir!"
"No. I'm not going to just take no from a spoiled little prince. You're not going to have anybody who will be willing to give you the time of day ever yet you have the guts to reject me!"
"Sir, please let go! I don't want to have to call in Floyd to remove you from the establishment!"
"What? You're not strong enough to get me out yourself? What a weakling! How did you even get into NRC?"
I felt my resolve melting away. I'm always willing to give people more and more time to redeem themselves before I take matters into my own hands. But this time, I had a feeling that I needed to get my point across.
"Eh~~~~ What's goi-"
"I'm the captor of hearts, I'm the collector of heads. My words are absolute. OBEY ME!"
The man let me go and I felt my anger flare up.
"HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK OF PUTTING YOUR HANDS ON SOMEONE YOU IS ONLY TRYING TO ASSIST YOU?! LEAVE THE LOUNGE AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK!"
I quickly dispelled my magic to avoid consequence towards my body. The Diasomnia student's body, obviously affected by my magic, left the Mostro Lounge. I quickly got my pulse back to a normal pace when I realized that the entire lounge was dead silent. I quickly spun my head around to realize that people were staring at me in shock, including Floyd, Jade and Azul.
I felt myself becoming more bashful before running over to Azul.
"Azul?"
I was whispering to avoid creating more of a scene.
"Is there any chance that I could go to Savanaclaw to visit my brother right now?"
Azul, still stunned speechless apparently, only nodded his head. I took that and ran. I quickly changed out of my uniform and back into my flowy clothes before making my way over to Savanaclaw. That was so embarrassing.
I made my way to the main Savanaclaw area where I saw a bunch of the dorm members just chilling or playing around. I ran over to one of them.
"Excuse me?"
"Huh?! Oh, it's just you, Prince (Y/N). If you're wondering where Leona is, he's actually at the stadium right now. Something about how we all were making too much noise."
"Thank you!"
I turned away from the Savanaclaw student when I heard a gasp from him. I turned back around and caught him staring at my wrist. I looked at it as well when I noticed a dark purple bruise circling my entire wrist. I knew that his grip was much too tight.
"Oh, I knew that was going to bruise."
"WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"Oh, nothing important. Just a rough customer. Don't you worry about it. Thank you for showing concern though!"
"NO, WA-!"
I ran off without hearing the rest of what he had to say. I only had limited time before I was expected back at Octavinelle and I still wanted to see Leona!
I saw my brother and rushed towards him. He was just watching the moon which was weird but I knew Leona felt a connection with the moon in some way.
"Leona!"
I hugged him from behind which actually got a chuckle out of him.
"Heya, (Y/N). What brought you here at this time?"
"I... had a really rough time at the lounge. There was this guy who was being a creep to me and I... completely overreacted."
Leona was quiet for sometime before reacting to my last sentence.
"What exactly happened?"
"Well, the guy who was from Diasomnia decided to be a real creep to me. He grabbed my wrist, see! Here's a bruise that he gave me! I lost my patience for a quick second because he was staring at me earlier. It really freaked me out so I used Obey Me on him and basically banned him from the Mostro Lounge."
Leona stared angrily at the bruise on my wrist before standing up. He grabbed me and started to carry me on his back.
"Leona?! What are you doing?!"
"We're going to have a little talk with Azul."
Leona rushed over to the Mostro Lounge before kicking the doors open, gaining the entire lounge's attention.
"Uh, welcome to the Mostro Lou-"
Leona grabbed Azul by his collar before dragging him into the V.I.P. room. He threw Azul over his desk before carefully placing me on one of the comfortable chairs.
"Listen up, cephalopunk! Is your little trashy business not a safe enough place for my little brother?"
"W-w-w-wait a minute! I try to make sure that the Mostro Lounge is safe for all of my employees!"
"Then how do you explain the fact that (Y/N) has a bruise on his wrist from one of your customers?!"
"We were taking care of it!"
"Obviously you weren't taking care of it as efficiently as you thought! Someone is going to pay for this. You have a decision here, cephalopunk."
"Oh really?"
"Either you tell me the name of the student who hurt my little brother or I'll drag the entirety of Savanaclaw to the Mostro Lounge to ruin it every night."
For the second time in the same night, Azul was stunned speechless by a Kingscholar. Azul quickly tried to regain his confidence and gave a smirk to Leona.
"There's no way that you would do that."
Leona only returned Azul's smirk with his own before walking out of the V.I.P. room. Oh boy, did Azul look like he was going to ink himself more than ever?
"Azul, you might want to reconsider Leona's offer."
Azul looked at me before plastering a smile back on his face. It was threatening to fall off at any minute.
"I'm not threatened by Leona's threat at all. I'm certain that he won't do anything. It takes effort to actually do what he's threatening. Also to make up for the fact that you did get injured on the job, I'm giving you the next three days off from work."
"You're going to need extra muscle to stop the entirety of Savanaclaw from entering the Mostro Lounge."
"Once again, (Y/N), you have too much faith in your brother."
Azul should have listened to me. I walked out of my dorm to go get some food from the kitchen to see the Mostro Lounge completely trashed with Savanaclaw students just making a mess of the lounge. I saw Leona laying on top of one of the tables, his eyes closed giving off the impression that he was sleeping. I also took note of the fact that Jade and Floyd, along with the rest of the employees, were tied up with a bunch of table cloths.
I let out a sigh before walking over to Leona. The rest of the Savanaclaw students gave me a lot of space to walk. They did not want to invoke Leona's wrath by hurting me either.
"Leona."
Leona didn't move but I knew that he heard me so I just continued on.
"Don't you think that you've done enough damage yet?"
I heard a door break before a lot of hollers followed shortly after. I saw Azul get dragged out of the V.I.P. room and throw over to where Jade and Floyd were to just get tied up as well.
"Now, I say that we've done enough damage. ALRIGHT BOYS! PACK IT UP AND LET'S GO HOME!"
All of the Savanaclaw students just started shouting more and rushing out of the Mostro Lounge, destroying more things in their wake. Leona only gave off a triumph smirk and air while he sauntered out of the lounge. A faint smile appeared on my face, it's been a while since I've seen Leona proud of something that he has done.
I quickly rushed over to where the tied up members of Octavinelle were and got to work untying them. The knots were quite tight so it took me longer than I truly wished for it to take.
The first person that I got undone was Jade. He was quick to stand up and help with untying the others.
"This was completely uncalled for."
"Well, it depends on how you look at it. Leona did give Azul the choice of either telling him a name or face this."
"(Y/N). I understand how important it is to love a brother, faults and all."
"Heeeyyyy!"
"But you shouldn't defend actions like those of anybody."
"Guess you can say that I'm programmed to defend Leona at every aspect of his life."
After about twenty minutes of untying, we got everyone untied and started cleaning up.
"Oh, we're going to be at such a deficit because of these damages."
"Well, if you don't want to have to spend all of that money again tomorrow, you should give Leona what he asked for. I have a good feeling that Leona will hold through with his threat still. Doesn't matter if you have nothing, he'll figure out what to take after that."
Azul appeared to be thinking over what I said before walking to his office. He came back out with his cane and snapped his fingers.
"Jade. Floyd. Come with me. We have business with Mr. Leona Kingscholar."
"Woo! No more cleaning!"
Floyd threw his broom which caused it to knock into the already broken plates and broke them even more.
"FLOYD!!"
"Hehehehe~ Whoops~"
I watched as the trio left. Maybe tomorrow will be an easier day. The bruise on my wrist started to fade a bit today which made it a tiny bit easier to clean and use it.
Today was not easier. Easier on the body yes but not for the sight in the main courtyard. The man who harassed me was strung up above one of the entrances to the main building. He appeared to be alive but he kept on coughing up sand. It seems as if Leona has gotten his way in the end.
Azul Ashengrotto
"Please, Azul! We don't even have to leave the Mostro Lounge, just anywhere out of this room!"
I was desperate to be let out of Azul's room. It had nearly been the two week long break that Azul wanted but I knew that I couldn't stand any longer. He kept coddling me, acting as if I was the three year old that he originally met.
"Now why exactly would I do that? We're having such a lovely time with just the two of us! You should be grateful that we get to bond at all. I feel bad for all of the little brothers who can't bond with their older ones."
I felt myself tense up with anger. Azul could be such a hypocrite when he wanted to be. That situation was literally us seven years ago! How could he have forgotten the pain that he inflicted on me so easily?!
"Yes, I apologize, Azul. I should have been more grateful."
I can't fight him at every turn anymore. I just don't have the willpower to do so.
"I'm glad that you finally recognized that you were acting like a toddler. Now, come here. I think that you need some cuddles to calm down."
Azul had a victorious grin on his face while spreading his arms wide open for me to set myself in. Another cage that he loved to put me in. I started to fidget with my fingers before walking over to him. I heaved myself onto the bed that he was sitting on before climbing into his lap. Azul gained a softer smile on his face before wrapping his arms around me and pulling me lightly into his body.
I felt his face burrow slightly into hair. He was letting out little giggles. He always did that when he was very happy. For example, he's been giggling for the entirety of these past two weeks.
There was a knock at the door, which made Azul stop giggling and let out a slight growl. Ha, that's what you get for imprisoning me. He lifted me out of his lap before setting me down on the bed. He nearly ripped the door off the hinges. I felt scared for the door.
"What exactly is so IMPORTANT that you have to interrupt the time that I've dedicated to my brother?"
If the person isn't a tweel, they are going to be in so much trouble tomorrow.
"Sorry, Azul. But we're having a bit of an issue. It seems that Yuu and their little posse are starting a fight in the common area."
It's Jade. I don't think that Azul could ever be mad at him. Even if he somehow killed me, I think that Azul and Jade would be on good terms.
Azul was looking worried at this fact and started looking between Jade and I.
"Alright, I'll be there in a few seconds."
Azul turned around, grabbed his cane and picked me up with one arm.
"I don't want you to feel cheated of time with me so, I think that this small excursion won't be such a bad idea. Although as soon as I get this fight sorted out, you and I are going right back into this room for a good cuddle session, okay?"
I only nodded my head, excited to see other people than Azul. It feels like it has been years since I've seen the Mostro Lounge. The lights in there felt like the stars that I would gaze at during my late night trips to the surface. If I was lucky enough to still have energy after finishing my homework that is.
"WHO IS YAWL CALLIN' UH GIRL?! AHL SHOW YAWL!"
I turned my head to a very feminine boy who appeared to be trying to fight a Heartslabyul student. He was being held back by a giant wolf guy and a mint green haired fae.
"Epel, drop it!"
"EPEL! STOP THIS UNRULY BEHAVIOR AT ONCE!"
"MAKE MAY!"
"Excuse me!"
Azul set me on the ground before running over to the fight and started to yell at both parties. I just watched in amusement at all of the fighting. It sort of reminded me of my best friends back at... middle school.
I miss those guys. (B/F/N) and (F/N) were some of the best people that I got to spend time with. They weren't jealous over what I had or what I could do. They just loved to spend time with me. I wonder what they're doing now though.
While I was deep in thought, I didn't notice the leaf shot that was coming my direction until it hit me straight in the face.
"OUCH!"
My eyes were in so much pain! The leaves that were swirling around got a clear hit at my eyes. I think that a blade did actually hit my retinas.
"(Y/N)!"
I heard Azul rush over to me and started to push my hands away to get a good look at my eyes. He forced my eyes open to quickly assess the damage. It seems as if the fighting had stopped since I was injured.
After about two minutes, Azul left out a sigh. Based on his facial expressions, it was most likely a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, no actual damage has been done to your eyes. But..."
Azul then stood up, having a death grip on his cane, and shot a spell towards the group suspending them all in the air.
"THE MOSTRO LOUNGE IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR PETTY ARGUMENTS! THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR RECKLESSNESS, MY LITTLE BROTHER HAS BEEN INJURED! YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED INTO THE MOSTRO LOUNGE! NOW, GET OUT!"
At the end of his little speech, Azul used the same magic to send the group of six first years and the offending Heartslabyul student and his group flying out of the Mostro Lounge's doors. Quickly regaining his composure, Azul looked over the rest of the guests who fell silent at the fight that was happening in the lounge. He quickly cleared his throat before talking.
"Apologies, loyal customers! Hopefully, we won't have another outburst again today but please do remember! The Mostro Lounge is a safe café for students to relax, not a risky bar for people to have fights in!"
Everyone seemed to go back to their own business after Azul had said that. Azul then quickly turned back to me and picked me back up once again.
"Let's get you back to the room so that I can patch you up, (Y/N)."
We ran back to the room and he took me into the small bathroom. He set me down on the sink counter before pulling out his magic pen.
"Oh, I should have known that taking my fragile little brother out into what could have been a war zone was a bad idea. You've gotten little cuts, haven't you?"
"I'm not completely defenseless anymore Azul."
My tongue moved before I could think.
"What was that?"
Azul's soft tone is gone now, I have no chance of that getting back soon. His gaze turned into a cold glare. I was in for it this time.
"Nothing, Azul! I said nothing!"
"Oh no! I'm nipping this in the bud before it gets out of hand."
Azul lifted me up before taking me back to the bedroom. He laid me, stomach down, over his legs before swatting my behind.
"If I seriously need to whack this into you, I will, (Y/N)! You are my baby brother! You will stop with the back talk and this rebellious behavior!"
I let out a cry of pain. This really hurts!
"Sorry! Sorry! I promise I won't do it again! Just stop please!"
"Hmmmmm, since you've already gotten hurt already, I think I can ease up on this punishment."
That's a relief. I hate punishments like these. They're so embarrassing and painful for me. Azul resituated me so that we were both lying down and that I was trapped in a perma-hug next to Azul's heart beat.
"I think it's a good time for you to take a nap. Doesn't that sound just refreshing, (Y/N)?"
"Uh huh."
I nodded my head as well. I felt a kiss be pressed to the top of my head before Azul's heart beat actually started to lull me to sleep. A perfect tempo to calm my racing thoughts.
*Azul's POV*
(Y/N)'s breathing has finally steadied out, which means that I could grab my phone for a quick text. I opened up the group chat between me, Jade and Floyd. I sent a quick text explaining exactly what I wanted to happen. It was one of those dim Heartslabyul students who sent the leaf shot (Y/N)'s way. I made it clear that I want him to be punctured like a pin cushion and a rose put into each of the holes. That was Jade's task. I told Floyd to give the Yuu first year group a good scare with a few scars to let them know what happens if you mess in the Mostro Lounge.
After I sent out my texts, I switched my phone to silent and set it down face first on my nightstand. I looked down to see (Y/N) just snoozing away. He was so adorable! How on earth could I not recognize his cuteness before?
"I was such a fool when I was younger. I'm going to make it up to you now."
That was a promise that I was going to keep to him.

Too Poisonous of a Mushroom
So, @devils-blackrose made a comment on my Azul post and I wanted to make it into a post. Thank you for letting me write your idea! This one is shorter than my other ones but I had plenty of great ideas that came from it. Please give me more ideas on what to write.
Warnings: Yandere, (Y/N) death, character death, enjoy an Azul snap.
Azul Ashengrotto
"Jade, I think that something was really wrong with that mushroom."
My stomach was twisting and turning more than it normally does when Jade forces me to eat his mushrooms.
"Now, now. There's no reason to lie to me. Azul made it very clear to me that you needed to learn your lesson. You should just take your punishment like a good little brother."
His words did make some mild sense but this pain was getting much more painful. I don't think Jade truly knows what he fed me.
"Jade. Please! This pain isn't normal! It hurts! It really really hurts."
"Now, you're getting on my nerves."
Jade walked away from his terrariums to look me over. My hand was clutching my stomach to try and relieve the pain.
"You seem to be doing just fine. Stop acting like a newborn guppy and take your punishment."
Jade turned back around to look for which mushroom for me to try next. My fingertips started to grow numb, my head slowly became more and more fuzzy and the pain was just growing. The world started tipping and I fell over.
I tried to shout out to Jade except my voice couldn't make any noise. It felt as if my vocal chords were ripped out. Instead I tried to crawl over to Jade. My hand was shaking something terrible and my fingertips were turning black.
My stomach then lurched and blood came out of my mouth and coated the ground. That mushroom was poisonous and fast acting.
"(Y/N)!"
I lifted my head slightly to look at Jade. I've never seen such terror etched on his face before.
"Hurts..."
I couldn't whisper anything else. I couldn't feel my legs. I couldn't feel my hands. I couldn't feel anything that wasn't pain. My vision started to get clouded and I just closed my eyes. The twisty world was starting to make me more nauseous.
"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Get up!"
Jade's voice started to grow fainter and fainter. I wonder what that light in the distance is though? Maybe I should go to it.
*Jade's POV*
"(Y/N)! Please wake up!"
I tried to heal him with my magic but I wasn't able to counteract it fast enough. I quickly checked his pulse only to find that there was none.
"Crap."
I picked up his body and quickly ran to the Headmage's office. He must have something to fix him!
Everyone that I passed looked bewildered either because of the fact that I was carrying a dead (Y/N) or the fact that I didn't have a mask on.
"Headmage!"
"Goodness!"
I put (Y/N)'s body on top of his desk before I continued on.
"(Y/N) ate a fast acting poisonous mushroom. Please! Try and save him! He doesn't have a pulse anymore!"
Desperation leaked through my voice. How am I going to explain this to Azul?
"I... I'll see what I can do."
Crowley took (Y/N)'s body and started to cast spells on it. He waved me off and I took my leave. I needed to go tell Azul.
I ran back to Octavinelle and quickly found Azul.
"Jade?! What are you doing back here? Your shift doesn't begin for two hours."
"Apologies, Azul. But something went horribly wrong."
"Wrong? Wait, where's (Y/N)?!"
Azul's tone became more panicky when he realized that I was missing a brother.
*Azul's POV*
No.
No.
No, no, no, no, no, No, No, NO, NO, NO, NO!!
I felt my self control break and I threw Jade against the wall.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU LISTEN TO HIM?!"
"I thought that he was just being overly dramatic! I never meant for that to happen!"
"WELL, IT DID! WHERE IS HE?!"
"I took him to Crowley."
I sprinted over to the door before looking back at Jade.
"Jade. You better watch your brother's back."
Jade's face became more pale but I didn't have time to waste on him anymore. My brother might be dead because of that fool!
I was running as fast as I could to Crowley's office. Please, please, please Great Seven. Let my brother live. Please!
I couldn't even remember the trip to the office. I honestly thought that I flew all of the way there. I slammed the door open where I saw Crowley staring down at (Y/N)'s body with magic flying around both of them.
Crowley looked up at me with sadness in his eyes. Please.
"My sincere condolences, Mr. Ashengrotto. I've done everything that I could."
I'm sorry.
"I'll make sure that he gets a glorious send off."
I should have listened to you.
"You won't have to pay a cent for this for it happened while I should have been protecting him."
Jade will pay for this.
Crowley continued talking. I walked up to (Y/N)'s body and saw the effects of the poison. His legs were completely shriveled and along with his fingers. He had blood coming out of his mouth and certain parts of his body were pure black. He looked like his final moments were in so much pain. I'm so sorry, little brother. I'll fix this, I swear.
"I appreciate the generosity, Headmage. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must start the planning of (Y/N)'s passing."
I left Crowley's office, a plan already forming in my mind. Jade. You're going to pay.
A few days have passed since (Y/N) has passed away. I told Mom and Dad of his passing and thankfully, they were able to help me with planning his funeral. Crowley granted me two weeks off to mourn and plan.
I visited the Coral Sea with (Y/N)'s body in tow. Mom and Dad were heartbroken to see their youngest's body, still and cold. Their tears caused my own to fall for the first time. We spent so long mourning over (Y/N) that the day passed without us realizing.
The next day I showed them the plans that I made for (Y/N)'s funeral and told them that I had to grab the last few things to send (Y/N) off with. I swam as fast as I could to the sunken ships that Floyd told me about all of those years ago and took trinkets from each of them.
"You should be buried with the things that made you the happiest."
My voice sounded foreign to me. It was broken and small, just like how it was when I was just that dumb little octopus. I clutched the sunken treasures while swimming back.
(Y/N)'s funeral was so beautiful. The news spread around that he died and the whole entire town came to see his body. Everyone was touched by the charismatic (Y/N). The sea flowers that decorated his mausoleum and adorned his body matched well with the coffin that we got him. I put the treasures into his hands, wishing him great adventure and fortune in his next life.
"Rest easy, little brother. I hope that your spirit finds peace."
After the coffin and mausoleum were shut for the final time, I shut off my emotions. I can't afford my emotions to get in the way of my next move.
I took a look in the mirror and saw a deranged smile on my face forming. Oh, Jade. You're going to regret killing my brother.
I was finally back in school and I had a wonderful plan made for Jade. Who was proving to be quite the hindrance to my plans. I shouldn't have given him that warning for the fact that he refuses to let Floyd be alone with me for any period of time.
"Floyd, can you come with me to my office? I need your help with something."
"Okay, Azul~"
"I'm coming as well. If you need help, it's better to have two people than just one person."
I glared at Jade but he stuck with Floyd. Seems like that I'll have to be more sneaky about getting Floyd alone. You won't be by his side forever Jade.
Floyd's at basketball practice right now.
"Floyd!"
"Ehh~? Yeah, Boss?"
"I need to talk with you for a quick second."
Floyd threw his ball towards Ace and followed me into the hallway.
"Good timing, Azul~ Basketball practice was getting booorrrriinnnggg."
"I'm glad to be of service to you. But since I helped you out, would you mind helping me out?"
"Eh, suuurreee?"
"Excellent!"
I turned around and casted a spell towards Floyd. He barely dodged but now, his face displayed fear. Good.
"Hold still."
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!"
"No. I just need to make your brother pay."
It became late at night when I decided to call Jade into the VIP room.
"You wanted to see me, Azu-"
I slammed the sledgehammer that I had into the statue that I turned Floyd into. Floyd's head surprisingly went undamaged and fell to the ground.
Jade looked terrified before looking at me. I just gave him a smile.
"Seems like we're both brotherless now, huh Jade?"

When the little brother goes for an 'adventure': Riddle, Leona, and Azul edition. Short stories(?)
I saw someone post this idea under platonic yandere and I wanted to try my hand at writing it. I really hope that I don't mess this up. Link to the post. I hope that I did the idea justice.
Warnings: Yandere and this is insanely long by my writing standards.
Riddle Rosehearts
Shortly after my brother's overblot, Riddle became more and more controlling over what I could and couldn't do. I could color my heart out but I wasn't allowed to eat on my own. He was very confusing on what was allowed and what wasn't.
Normally, I'd never dare to leave Riddle's side but today, the outdoors was practically calling out to me for an exploration. Plus Ace has been making fun of me for my vitamin D deficiency. I get it! I'm pale. Not my fault.
Riddle was busy in his room, determined to finish all of his homework before our mandatory tea party at six. It's four right now, so I think that I have time to go and explore NRC campus and get some sunlight.
I decided that it would be for the best if I changed out of the dorm uniform and into a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. This way, my body will produce more vitamin D and I can get my cardio work done. I quickly exited Heartslabyul and quickly made my way to Ramshackle dorm. I remember Yuu talking about how there was a forest around there and I personally love to run next to nature.
The forest that Yuu was talking about was actually quite lovely. There was plenty of natural wildlife and a whole bunch of different flowers. I also noticed that while I was running that there were violets growing everywhere. Trey-senpai loves candied violets and he has been helping me out with Riddle for a while now. I should make him some a thank you.
I got close to the ground and started picking the violet heads without them crumbling on me. I just kept picking more and more until I realized that I was lost. I left my magic pen back at the dorm because I didn't think that I was going to travel this far into the forest plus looking up at the sky, I would say that it's close to 6:30 at this point.
Riddle is going to have my head, isn't he?
"Ah... Crap. I've really messed this up, haven't I?"
I started muttering to myself to try and calm myself down. Sadly, it wasn't working and the next thing that I heard terrified me to my core.
"(Y/N)! HOW DARE YOU KEEP YOUR QUEEN WAITING!?"
Riddle looked like a mess. His face was red and his dorm outfit had stains all over it, meaning that he has been searching for me for a while now.
I did what any normal person would do in this case. I ran. I ran far and fast. Riddle in this mood was dangerous and I'm not feeling brave enough to face him right now.
"(Y/N)! GET BACK HERE, YOUNG MAN! OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"
I quickly ducked and saw a collar flying over my head. It wrapped around a tree branch before disappearing. Riddle was throwing everything that he could at me. Thank you Mother for all the agility training lessons and steak knives that you threw at me.
I jumped to see a wave of water rush underneath me but I wasn't ready for the tree branches to cross together to block my path.
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"
I felt the collar wrap around my neck this time. I wrapped my hands around the collar from reflex and next thing that I knew, Riddle ran into my back knocking us both to the ground. All of the violets that I had picked were now muddy and worthless. So, much for doing something nice for Trey.
"WHY ARE YOU IN THIS FOREST?!"
"I-I-I..."
"WELL?!"
I felt my body start to shake. Riddle when angry was always terrifying and this time was no different. I felt his eyes bore into my body, awaiting my answer.
"I thought that it was okay to go outside for a bit..."
My voice was small and shaken, unlike my normal monotone voice. I felt like a child for once.
"Well, it's not. Okay? You should have just waited in the main dorm room until I was done with my homework. Now, because of your little 'adventure', we don't have any time for a tea party and we're both messes. Come on."
Riddle grabbed my arm in a crushing grip and pulled me to my feet. He didn't relinquish his hold the whole entire walk back. In fact, I was pretty certain that he kept on tightening his grip. Even though I am the stronger brother, Riddle's grip still hurts me. I wonder if that's because of the spell that Mom used years ago...
Finally, we reached Heartslabyul and everyone was shocked to see us both not looking our best. Dirt can really ruin someone's appearance. Riddle was getting angrier by the second. First, I completely ruined his time schedule and now, I'm ruining his appearance to the rest of his dorm.
Riddle pulled me all the way to his room and swung me in. I stumbled slightly, not used to being able to walk on my own, and saw Riddle lock the door to his room. He then walked into his personal bathroom, motioning me to follow suit.
I went into the bathroom and closed the door behind me. This was one of our weirder family traditions. Because Mom saw me as less of a human being, she would make Riddle and I wash together because "You don't deserve your own bath." So, now we just always bathe together. I tried to bathe on my own one time and Riddle threw a mild tantrum that had four other Heartslabyul students losing their heads.
Riddle got the water ready and we both just sunk into the water. The personal bathroom for a dorm leader is quite huge to be honest so we had a good amount of distance between us. Riddle was just staring me down while I sunk further into the water, wishing to disappear.
We got clean and put on clothes but Riddle's eyes never left my figure nor did it soften at all. He then pulled up two chairs and sat in one. Oh boy, it was time for a talk.
"(Y/N). What did you do wrong today?"
"I was late to our daily tea party."
"And?"
"And that I went outside without you by my side."
"You do realize that you broke your most important rules as well?"
"I was aware. I just thought that you weren't going to need me when you were saf-"
"That is no excuse."
I flinched at Riddle's cold tone. I wasn't looking forward to what he had planned.
"For breaking rule #5 of (Y/N)'s protection guidebook, you're now stuck by my left side for the next four days while doing your normal duties."
"Yes, my Queen."
"Good. Now come on. I have a different tea party to attend with Cater."
I nodded my head before standing up and going over to Riddle's left side. I held out my hand for him. He grabbed it and I helped him out of the chair. We then made our way to the tea party. Cater was there waiting for us and he gave a peace sign to us.
"Hey~! I didn't know that (Y/N)-chan was going to join us!"
"This was a last minute development."
"Okay! Well, pull up a chair and enjoy~!"
I only shook my head before pulling out Riddle's chair and pushing him in. I then took my place to his left. I wasn't about to put Cater in trouble. Cater then looked at both of us before he put his phone up and took a photo of us. Riddle's eyes widened slightly.
"#HeartslabyulTeaParty, #RoseheartBros, #AdorableBrotherlyLove! This photo is going to get so many likes!"
The rest of the tea party continued like normal. I was so thankful when it ended. I lost feeling in my legs and was ready to crash. Riddle gave me a light smirk while I held the door open for him. We both got ready for bed and we just crashed.
"I hope that you'll think twice before going out on another 'adventure'."
"Yes, my Queen."
Leona Kingscholar
(I really hate that I have two little brothers for Leona. But here we go! Also for the first brother, this will be before your complete kidnapping and for the second, this is before your transfer.)
Brother A:
"Dang! It's such a boring day! What's the point of having a weekend if you don't have anything to actually do?!"
I was just complaining to myself while lying in my dorm room. All of my roommates were out, practicing Spelldrive most likely, and the other first years are busy trying to get their homework. Those dorks not getting their homework done faster.
I got up from my bed and grabbed my trusty ax. It took me forever to get it onto campus. Crowley wouldn't stop making me promise over and over and then eventually, I had to sign a contract made by Azul. If I ever try to attack a student with said ax, I get teleported straight to Crowley's office. Honestly, it would be a pretty useful escape mechanism.
I decided that I was going to explore the Diasomnia dorm. It has some of the most interesting terrain out of all of the dorms and I want to see it. I made quick track over to the hall of mirrors and rushed into Diasomnia. If anybody from Savanaclaw saw me, Leona would hear about it.
Diasomnia has quite an interesting aura about it. I heard that it's close to Briar Valley in décor and flora. I quickly walked up to the castle and went inside. There were plenty of Diasomnia students in the lobby who were just staring at me like I had three heads. In fact, I saw a few of them getting their pens ready to attack me but thankfully, Lilia came out of nowhere to greet me.
"Fufufu~! It's not everyday that we get a Savanaclaw visitor. Especially one that's related to the dorm leader. What brings you here?"
"I'm glad that there is a friendly face here. I was just wondering if I had permission to go and explore the forest around your castle?"
Lilia's face morphed into a shocked one at my request.
"T-that's what you want to do? I truly thought that you came over to hang out with Sebek."
"Nah. Don't get me wrong, I love Sebek but he's busy with the other first years. I think that he's yelling at all of them for messing up the work."
"Oh~ Love?"
"Easy there. Platonic love."
"Awwww."
Lilia's face formed into a pout. I let out a light laugh.
"Sooooo, am I free to prowl your grounds?"
"Of course! I'll let Malleus know of your presence so that you don't end up being fried cat!"
"Thanks."
I exited the castle and quickly scaled down the cliff to the forest below. All of the trees didn't have leaves which I guessed was normal for this dimension. There were also no animals around which I sort of expected. There was no actual food in the area for anything. No green = no small prey. No small prey = no predators. But honestly, I think that it's better this way.
I heard a twig snap behind me. It was a few miles away so I wasn't too worried about it. What started to worry me was the whooshing that was coming up behind me fast. I turned around and saw Malleus floating at me at full speed.
I started to run myself except a bunch of fire lit up around me, keeping me in the circle. Malleus then walked through the flames, glaring down at me.
"What brings you here, Kingscholar Two?"
"Just wanting to explore the area."
"Without asking permission from those who live here?"
"Lilia seemed okay with me being here."
"You are not welcome here. Leave."
Malleus normally isn't like this. I've seen him interact with plenty of people. Heck, even I had a few friendly conversations with him. Something must have really made him mad.
"Why aren't I welcome here? It isn't as if I'm messing anything up with your dorm."
"You're contesting me? I shouldn't have expected less from Kingscholar's little brother."
"Yeah, if you want me to leave, you're going to have to make me."
A smirk appeared on my face and a slight smile appeared on Malleus'. We always had small fights with each other to test each other's magic. Everyone is always afraid to fight us so we just fight each other.
Malleus was the first to send out a spell. A powerful fire wave that I was able to dodge by a millisecond. I sent back to him a water shot, trying to douse out his flames. I did hit him in the arm but he only laughed it off. This happened for a while before my ax accidently flew off my back and almost hit Malleus straight in the face.
Thankfully, the contract worked and I was teleported to Crowley's office with my ax now stuck in a wall.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME, KINGSCHOLAR?! YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULDN'T ATTACK ANYONE!"
"I DIDN'T! I LOST MY GRIP ON MY AX AND IT WENT FLYING TOWARDS SOMEONE!"
"YOUR BROTHER IS GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THIS!"
"AWW, COME ON!"
I sat in Crowley's office until Leona arrived after five hours. Crowley refused to let me leave without supervision in case I went out of control. Listen, I may be able to hurt anybody and everybody but I have more control than that!
"You woke me up for this? Are you serious?"
Leona was given me the biggest death glare while I was just looking off to the side.
"Yes, because he belongs in your dorm and that he is your family, you must take responsibility and discipline your brother correctly to make sure that he won't harm somebody."
"A: What did he even do and B: Why should I care?"
"I can answer B. You should care because it will a bad rep for NRC and Savanaclaw together.
Your dorm will suffer if the press heard that one of your members either killed or severely wounded someone.
You also wouldn't get any beauty sleep. (Y/N), you have to answer A."
I glared at Crowley before telling my part.
"I went over to Diasomnia."
"...are you kidding me right now? Diasomnia!?"
"Listen! I know that you don't like the dorm leader but you don't have any right to forbid me from going over!"
"I've told you plenty of times! How many more times do I have to tell you!?"
"Keep yapping because I'm still not listening! But I was exploring the forest around the castle and Malleus and I started fighting."
I saw Leona clench his fist slowly. I was so in for it later.
"I had my ax strapped to my back and when I went to send my own spell, I pulled a maneuver that ended up having the strap slide off of my back and sent my ax flying towards Malleus' face. It was all accidental."
"Why were you fighting that Lizard in the first place?!"
"Because he was in a bad mood and one of the easiest ways for him to get out negative emotions is through fighting! You are the exact same way!"
Leona slammed his hands on Crowley's desk before standing up to glare at me.
"DON'T YOU DARE COMPARE ME TO THAT LIZARD AGAIN!"
Leona's roar was terrifying that it almost made my tail go between my legs. Almost is the key word. I stood up as well and just glared back with just as much fierceness. We both were letting out growls and getting tense. I was the first to strike.
I jumped onto Leona sending both of us flying over Crowley's desk, messing everything up.
"You've never cared about who I hung out with before! WHY DOES IT MATTER SO MUCH NOW?!"
Leona then kicked me off, my back making contact with Crowley's window, shattering it. The glass dug deep into my back. weakening me.
"Because you're starting to get on my nerves with who you choose to hang out with! First, it was that herbivore and now, it's that stupid Lizard!"
Leona then grabbed me and slammed me down on the floor, pushing the glass deeper. I saw black spots consuming my vision but I wasn't out just yet. I looked towards Crowley.
"Survival of the Fittest."
Crowley then collapsed while I felt more energized than ever. I was able to ignore the glass in my back and was able to wrestle Leona off of me.
I never realized how much power that Headmage actually had. Considering he never makes any effort in trying to do anything.
"I am your hunger, I am your thirst. I am what steals your tomorrows. Kneel before me! King's Roar!"
Leona's power was slowly draining the power that I stole away. We had to either wrap this up soon or until one of us submits. The rest of the faculty barged in and separated Leona and I from each other. Crowley's office was a mess, full of sand, glass, and blood. Leona was in worse shape than I was except at least he wasn't phasing in and out of consciousness.
"You pups need to be better disciplined! Two months worth of detention!" Crewel yelled at us, before we both were being ushered to our dorm by Coach Vargas.
We got healed once we hit our dorm and Leona demanded that I go to his room. The aura that we were radiating scared the rest of the dorm to get out of our way.
"What more do we need to talk about? We nearly just killed each other. I think that we got enough across to one another."
"You're done with going to other dorms."
"Excuse me?"
"I know that you heard me but I'll repeat for my slow little brother. Since you obviously can't be trusted by yourself, you have to be either at the main building or at Savanaclaw at all times. Ruggie will accompany everywhere with you."
"You can't just do that! I have other friends from other dorms!"
"Ah, thank you for reminding me! Drop them."
I just stared at Leona in disbelief. This man was trying to dictate my entire school life.
"You must be joking."
"I'm not. That's a command to you from your dorm leader. Now off you go."
I just glared at Leona before walking away in a huff. There was no way to get through to him while he's like this. My ears immediately picked up lighter footsteps.
"Go away, Ruggie."
"No can do, (Y/N). I'm not too happy about this either but I'm not about to go against Leona."
"Grrr."
I just continued walking down to my dorm and I just slammed my door closed. I heard Ruggie knocking but I refused to open the door and just put a pillow over my ears. I started to grit my teeth together, trying to keep my emotions under control.
"Leona will snap back to his senses. He has to. He has to."
If he doesn't, I don't know how much of my sanity will last this year.
Brother B:
"So, you're telling me: that you messed up a potion and then spilled it on my brother!?"
"Na-Na!"
I held out my hands and started to do grabby motions. I want upsies!
"Now, now, let's discuss this calmly like adults! Just put the chair down!"
I turned my head to witness Azul cowering behind his desk while Leona was trying to attack him with one of the comfort chairs in the VIP room. I wasn't getting upsies anytime soon.
"Ehh~ I knew that pouring that potion on Honey-chan would be funny."
"You're the reason why (Y/N) is now a toddler?!"
"FLOYD!"
Leona then turned the chair towards Floyd while Floyd wasn't paying attention. Jade was trying to keep in his chuckles while watching from behind Azul's desk. The room was just full of chaos.
I kept trying to get upsies but everyone was distracted. I got bored and left the VIP room. The Mostro Lounge was so full of pretty lights! My eyes then caught another shiny thing! A golden arm band on a white haired student. He was leaving the Mostro Lounge and I was quick to chase after him.
I came upon a weird mirror that many people were walking through and disappearing but I didn't care. I just wanted the shiny! I bolted through the mirror and came out of the other side. There were more people on the other side and more mirrors. I saw another shiny outside of the building and ran out. The shiny turned out to be the sun but it was really pretty.
There were also a bunch of pretty birds and two of them dropped a flower crown on my head. I let out a light laugh before deciding to follow them. I don't know how long I was running for but eventually, the birds flew off and I lost sight of them.
"Bye, friends! I hope to see you another day!"
I shouted and waved goodbye before I took a look around. I was in the middle of a forest and I don't know where I am.
"Na-Na?"
Where is my big brother?
"Lena?"
Where are my big brothers?
*Snap*
"AAHHHH! NA-NA! LENA! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
I picked a direction and ran as fast as I could, shouting out for my brothers. They have to be nearby! They have to! I felt tears leak out of my eyes before the next thing that I knew, I couldn't see anything because it was so blurry. My foot caught a root and I went tumbling. I felt plenty of ouchies form and I eventually stopped rolling. My whole entire body hurt so badly.
"Na-Na? Lena? Help me please."
I felt my eyes start to close and I couldn't keep them open any longer.
"(N/N)? (N/N)!"
"(Y/N)! Where have you gone?!"
"Honey-chan~! Come out so I can give you a nice big squeeze!"
I slightly reopened my eyes before whispering out one last time.
"Na-Na."
"(N/N)!"
I saw Leona rush over to me and I felt him pick me up. He felt so warm and comfy that I couldn't help but nuzzle deeper into him.
"I'm sleepy, Na-Na."
"No! Don't go to sleep yet, (N/N)! Stay awake for Na-Na! Please!"
"I'll try, Na-Na."
I really was trying. Whenever one of my eyes were starting to droop, I put my hand near that eye to lift it back up the eyelid. I didn't want to disappoint Na-Na.
"This is all your fault, Floyd!"
"My fault?! How?!"
"If you had just behaved, (Y/N) wouldn't be in such a fragile state!"
"EEEEHHHH?!"
"ZIP IT BOTH OF YOU! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!"
Floyd and Azul shut up after Leona yelled at them. The forest was zooming past and eventually, I saw the big castle that I saw from the weird mirror building again.
"Na-Na? Are we going to go to the big castle? Are we in the sky, Na-Na?"
"We're going to the big castle but we're not in the sky! You are not going to be in the sky anytime soon! I swear on my life!"
"But the sky is where all of the birdies live."
"But if you went to live in the sky, Lena and I couldn't visit you. Do you want that?"
"No. I want to visit Lena and Na-Na together."
"Good. Now stop trying to get to the sky."
"Okay."
"Eh, Honey-chan, if you want to get to the sky, I think that Azul can help you~"
"Floyd! Silence!"
Leona rushed me to a room with curtains and beds before setting me down on a bed.
"Fix him. NOW!"
I felt some relief in the places that were in a lot of pain. I felt a smile break out on my face. I opened my eyes to see Leona just there staring back at me. He looked quite grumpy. But I knew that was Leona's normal face.
I let out a giggle before putting my palm on his left cheek.
"Na-Na came and saved me."
"Yeah, Na-Na will always come save you. You should take a nap now though, (N/N). I'll be right back."
"Okay, Na-Na."
I closed my eyes and started to snooze.
"Now you two and I are going to have a talk. COME HERE!"
"EEK!"
"OUCH!"
The door then slammed shut and I heard a lot of banging from the hallway. Thankfully, the thuds were in rhythm and made it easier to fall asleep.
I wonder what dream I'll have this time.
*Leona's POV*
"Ugh, those stupid sea creatures. Making me waste energy on their problems."
I walked back into the nurse's office after beating Azul and Floyd to the ground to see (Y/N) just snoozing away on the bed.
"He's all healed up. He'll be right as rain by the time that he wakes up again."
I only nodded at the nurse, signaling to him that he could leave. He did leave and I crawled up next to my little brother.
"You're going to be the death of me. You should be thankful that you have me for your brother."
I'll make sure that nothing ever hurts you, even if I have to take you away from all evil.
Azul Ashengrotto
Land is awful. I need a break from the land. Azul, why did you have to bring me to the land?
"I want to go swimming."
"We can't go swimming today, (Y/N). You've got a debut to do today anyway."
Azul put the finishing touches on my outfit and I looked ten times more dapper than I usually do. I decided to practice my magic and manipulate water into beautiful shapes. A few Scarabia students saw the shapes and immediately ran up to me to watch what I could make. They even gave suggestions on what I should make and it was quite fun.
Azul found us doing it and from there on, he made me start putting on water shows for evening shifts. He did pay me but I didn't even want to perform. I just wanted to swim.
The lights started to blink, signaling that it was my time to go to the small stage. Azul gave me a warm smile before petting my head lightly.
"Knock them dead, little brother. Show them what Ashengrottos can do."
"Okay."
I walked out onto stage and turned towards the crowd. I was thankful for my time at my last school for the fact alone that everyone would always stare at me. I can take the stares.
I quickly bowed to the crowd before I activated my magic. Jade and Floyd put large containers of water all over the Mostro Lounge for me to manipulate. I started by having thin streams of water travel throughout the entire dining area. People were in awe with how soothing the running water sounded. I then separated the paths into different sections and formed shapes with each section.
The show was a huge hit. I would be constantly scanning the crowd to see what thing I should create out of the water and which table I should send it to. By the time that I was done, everyone was applauding and I even got some whistles. I did one last bow before rushing backstage.
"That was excellent! If you keep doing acts like that, profits will skyrocket! Although I don't know how I feel about all of the eyes on you. I might lock you up for a week after each performance, just so that they all understand that they can't see you all the time."
Azul whispered that last part but I still heard him loud and clear. It may have sounded like a question but I knew that he was actually going to do that. A week?! I can't stand only Azul for a week!
I felt my hand twitching and I was so tempted to run then and there. But no, I have to be careful about this. So, I waited and waited in the dressing room. I checked the clock and saw that enough time passed and that the Mostro Lounge would be at its busiest.
I peaked out of the dressing room to see Floyd and Jade rushing everywhere and I also got a peak of Azul taking someone to the VIP room. It was go time. I moved in short sprints until I made it to the mirror. I went through and saw nobody in the hall of mirrors.
"Yes!"
I sprinted to the outskirts of NRC campus. Because of it being on top of a cliff, I could just jump off and straight into water. I saw the coliseum and just kept on the path. I quickly came to the wind mill and rushed past it. The cliff was safe from sharp rocks at the bottom and sharp edges that I could hit.
"Deep breath. Let's go!"
I jumped and performed a dive into the deep water below. I felt my body shift back into my mermaid form and I just started swimming. I've never been allowed to explore the water around the Isle of Sages, mainly because Azul liked having a tight grip on the metaphorical leash around my neck.
The water felt so nice and cool on my scales. There were so many different types of fish around, I found at least five new types that I've never seen back at the Coral Sea! Plus there were so many different shipwrecks! One of them still had skeletons from the crew. Those poor souls, unable to break free of their containment.
I originally just planned to time myself fifteen minutes but... It's been so long that I couldn't help but break that limit. I haven't felt this free ever since I got here. My need for adventure has never felt so fulfilled before.
"I wonder what's under this rock?"
"Well, you're not going to find out."
I jolted upwards, wasn't expecting a voice. Let alone it being Azul's voice.
"A-A-Azul!"
"Here I thought that I made it clear that you weren't allowed to go swimming. I must have been much too lenient with you. I'll make sure to remedy my mistake."
"Rainbow-Chan!"
I felt Floyd wrap around me and then, I felt his teeth bite deeply in my arm. I let out a scream, plenty of pain flowing through my body. My vision was really blurry so I could only rely on touch to tell me what was happening.
I felt my head be lifted up and a potion going down my throat.
"There we go. Let's get you your legs back."
I passed out and woke up in Azul's room.
"No... No, no, no, no."
I quickly got out of the bed and went to try and open the door. As expected, it was locked.
"Let me out! Let me out please!"
"Little brother... It's three AM. You need your sleep."
I felt Azul's tentacles wrap around me before pulling me back to the bed. I was shocked that Azul was willing in his octo form but I couldn't let the shock stop me. I had to try and break free of his grip. But sadly, my human form is still quite weak.
Azul brought my head to his chest and put my ear above his heart to assure that I could hear it beating.
"Shhh, shhh. I know that you're upset. You woke up and put yourself in a fit. Don't worry, your big brother is here to protect you from all of your worst nightmares. After all, you're going to be in here with me for two whole weeks. We can bond and become very close together. Of course, I'll need to leave from time to time but I'll be back to spend all the time in the world with you."
"Two... weeks?"
"Yep! It'll be fun!"
Great Seven, please save me.

Yandere Azul Ashengrotto x Little Brother Reader headcanons/short story (?)
Here is the third one of these for everyone's favorite octopus! This is probably the first one where you'll actually be a child! Congrats!
Trigger warning: It's yandere. It is its own warning.
Azul Ashengrotto
You and Azul are step brothers.
He was ten years old to your three years old when you and your father came along to the family.
He didn't really appreciate you being around. You were a babbling, drooling mess. But the feeling that he felt most about you was jealousy. Jealousy over your tail fin and the fact you weren't as chubby as he was at three years old.
Your father bonded pretty well with Azul over the fact that they were both quite interested in business but every time that you tried to play with Azul, he would just swim away and ignore you.
"Azul! Do you want to play with me?"
I swam up to Azul while we were swimming back home. I've always looked up to Azul and tried to be the best little brother that I could for him. But he never seemed to want to be near me.
"No."
"Oh. W-well, how about later we go visit the museum? I know that you enjoy seeing what they have there."
"No."
"Oh, well, what if we-"
"Listen, (Y/N). I'm too busy to hang out with you. Just go and bother someone else."
Azul's tone was colder than the water that surrounded us and harsher than the tide that brought down mighty ships. I stopped swimming while trying to get my tears under control. I've always wanted an older brother and I finally got one but he wants nothing to do with me.
You stayed out of the house longer. Plenty of your friends from school saw you swimming around and tried to get you to play with them but you refused. You wanted to try and become better for Azul.
Eventually, it got really dark outside and you decided that it would be best to go back home. Ever since you started living as a family, your dad and stepmom paid more attention to Azul and with good reason. Azul was better than you in every single way.
You swam through the front door to see your family playing board games in the living room before swimming into your own room. You had homework to get done anyway.
This repeated for many years. You would create amazing connections with the people at school before spending the rest of the daylight outside, reflecting on yourself and then coming back home late at night to do your homework.
School life wasn't hard at all for you. Many people at school were jealous of you. You knew everything about everyone, everyone looked up to you because of your charisma, your looks and the fact that your grades were perfect. Where everyone saw perfection, you only saw the useless brother that wasn't good enough for your family.
During your reflection time, you were able to hone the magic that you hid away from everyone. Your unique magic was the only thing that you weren't disappointed about.
"Cthulhu's Call" was a summoning spell. You could summon one of the world's most feared eldritch creatures at will and have it listen to your every call. You only used it once and that was risky in and of itself. Cthulhu wasn't small.
The rest of your magic was useful to protect your brother from his more sneaky bullies. The ones that the tweels didn't sense. The ability to control water and its tides was quite fun in swirling around the idiot mermaids.
"I'm home."
You said, knowing that nobody was actually wondering where you were or when you came back. Your father was animatedly talking about his work with Azul at the dining table while your stepmother was still out at her job.
Hearing your stomach growl, you decided that you could make some food for yourself before you got to work on your homework. You quickly found the ingredients for your favorite meal and got to work at cooking. You were so distracted with your food that you didn't hear Azul getting close to you.
"(Y/N)."
"Huh? Oh! Hiya, Azul!"
I quickly put up my friendly side. Nobody needed to know what accidently happened while I was out today.
"Where did you get that scrape on your arm?"
Crud. Azul noticed. How?! It wasn't like I was showing it off to the world. Just come up with a lie and you'll be good.
"Oh that! Well, I wasn't being careful at gym class today and some equipment accidently cut me. It was pretty bad but thankfully, plenty of students were willing to help me to the nurses' office."
That was such a lie. I got it when I was exploring a sunken ship that was about... 20 nautical miles away from the house. I wasn't actually allowed to go that far alone but I heard that the treasure hidden in it was worth more than anything. And oh boy, were they not lying! Gems, gold and plenty of other things were there! I didn't take anything but pictures.
"Hmmm. You know, your story doesn't line up with the story that Floyd told me earlier."
"Oh really? What did Floyd tell you?"
Why was Floyd Leech following me? I would have known if I crossed a tweel at some point in time. Floyd isn't quiet about that type of stuff.
"He talked about watching a mermaid that looked like you swim to a sunken ship that was about twenty nautical miles away from our house. But I know for a fact that that couldn't have been you right?"
I did not enjoy the look in Azul's eyes. He was trying to get me to crack like an egg. I've cracked before to try and get Azul to like me better but I've always gotten told on instead. That was the only time that I was given any attention from Mom or Dad. When I was being scolded.
"Nah! Of course not! Also I wouldn't always believe what Floyd talks about. He likes to drag reactions out of you."
"Hmm, you have a point. Okay, I just wanted to check."
Azul then left the kitchen but the look in his eyes told me that he wasn't going to drop what we were talking about. I guess that I have to stop my treasure hunts until Azul's suspicion clears up.
Thus brought an end to your treasure hunts.
Ever since Azul had brought up Floyd following you, you've noticed at least one of the Leech twins in the background watching you carefully. You figured that Azul must have them playing watchdog.
This continued on until you were nine. Azul and the tweels had to go to NRC and you couldn't have felt more relieved. The admiration that you once held for Azul had turned into paranoia and distrust since you heard about his unique magic and what he uses it for.
Your treasure hunts were back on and your magic was only growing stronger by the day. Also with the fun fact that you were quite interested in architecture and made sea castles that sea creatures could actually swim and live in.
You hadn't seen Azul for months until your parents decided that you were going to visit Azul up at NRC.
"But Moooooom, I still have school to go to."
"Nonsense, (Y/N). You won't be gone for long and besides, don't you want to see your older brother?"
I bit my lip, not wanting the truth to flow out. I still didn't trust Azul and I wasn't looking forward to seeing him once again. Stepmom grabbed my hands before swimming towards Father. He had three potions in hand, which were supposed to turn us into humans. This didn't sound like a blast at all.
Being on land was a nightmare. My parents apparently had become humans before in their life times so they knew how to use their legs but I had no idea on how to use these things. It was quite painful to walk and be held up by my arms. I've never wanted my tail back more than then. Eventually, we made it to NRC with me wobbling with every step.
"Mom! Dad!"
I turned my head to see Azul walking towards us and giving our parents a huge hug. He then turned his head towards me and gave me a huge smile. A shiver ran down my spine at that sight. Azul was never happy to see me.
"(Y/N)! How's my biggest fan doing?"
Azul then walked over to me and picked me up into a hug. I just blinked at him before putting a huge smile on my face. I had to hide my surprise because despite my actual feelings for Azul, I still presented the little brother who idolized his bigger brother.
"I'm doing fine! It's weird that you're no longer at home though."
I thought that after I responded, Azul would put me down and ignore me like what would normally happen at home. But he didn't. Instead Azul only brought me closer to his chest and held me like I was a tiny baby. I tried to struggle out of his grasp but it only tightened, preventing all and any movement from me.
I sent a look to our parents but they seemed to not notice the death grip that Azul had on me. I guess that they weren't even really expecting I would ever be given any attention from Azul.
I sat in Azul's arms for about twenty or so minutes. The conversation seemed to get longer and longer and more and more boring. This was the time that I wished I had my tail to swim to the deep depths where I was no longer a part of any of this.
"So, I was thinking that (Y/N) could actually stay with me at NRC."
What. I quickly looked at Azul as if he was crazy but he wasn't even looking at me. That's one way from nearly going to sleep to wide awake.
"One of my classmates has his little brother with him. I already talked with the headmage and he agreed full heartedly!"
"Oh my! What a kind offer! It'll be weird having an empty nest though."
It wouldn't be that different considering you never chose to acknowledge me in the first place.
"Nonsense! This will be good for (Y/N) as well! Getting a higher education than everyone else his age!"
Gosh dang it, Azul. Why did you have to listen to Dad when he talked about his job?
So, now you are an honorary student of NRC.
You were attached to Azul at the hip. Sometimes quite literally. Your brother wouldn't let you walk a good amount of the time and even got a child carrier for you.
Floyd and Jade loved to tease you about the fact that you were no longer as independent as you used to be.
"Azul?"
"Yes, (Y/N)?"
No matter how many times I talk with Azul now, I don't think that I'll ever get used to the fact that he sounds loving towards me. I'm so used to the apathy.
"I'm grateful for everything that you've done for me but why exactly did you convince your headmage to let me stay?"
"Well, when I first got here, I thought that I was blessed. New experiences and the perfect place to start my own business and no little annoying brother trying to get my attention at every moment of the day. But after about... five months, I realized that I was missing my biggest supporter. You were always there and looked up to me. So, I decided that it would be better if I kept you closer to me."
"I..."
I was shocked. Azul... actually wanted to hang out with me? After being closed off for six years?! This has to be some sort of ploy.
"Ehhhhh~! It's Rainbow-Chan~! How's it being Mr. Popular?"
I felt Floyd wrap his arms around my torso and lightly picked me up for a spin. Rainbow-Chan is his nickname for me because and I quote "Everyone likes Rainbow Trouts!"
"Well, if it isn't Azul's younger brother? It's a pleasure to see you again."
Jade's smile sent shivers down my spine. Despite me being thankful for them becoming Azul's friends, I've never really wanted to be close with them. They're very scary.
"L-l-likewise."
I'm going to keep my manners with them. I'd rather not risk the bodily harm that could come if I don't.
"Ehhhh~ Rainbow-Chan, how many treasure hunts did you do when we all left the ocean~? I know that you have."
Floyd's sing-songy tone dropped and his arms tightened dangerously around my torso by the end of his sentence. My guess is that when I first said that Floyd was lying, he took it as an insult.
"I-I-I..."
"Well~?"
"I found two sunken ships down at the bottom of a ravine filled to the brim with gold and other human objects."
"See, Azul~! I told you that Rainbow-Chan explored too far away from his home~ You should do something about it~"
"And I shall."
After the truth of your little excursions, Azul started to... train you for lack of better words.
If you went too far from him, Azul would make you stay with Floyd for the entire next day. Trying to keep up with eccentric Floyd and his dangerous mood swings was enough to have you crawling back to Azul's bed for some well deserved cuddles.
If Azul felt that you weren't giving him the praises that he expected from you, Azul would throw a tantrum and start threatening to tell Mom and Dad lies about you. The last thing that you needed were messages coming from home about how you should have been more well behaved for Azul. You've just learned that you should give him compliments for everything or if he did do something wrong, give helpful criticism.
You also became sort of a logo for the Mostro Lounge. More customers would come just to see you, sitting at the entrance to greet those who came to dine.
Everyone appreciated the natural charisma that radiated off of you. Except that it would trigger Azul's jealousy very easily some days. Other days, he could ignore it because of the money that people would give you. Today was not one of those days.
"Azul! Please!"
I was begging my brother. He was feeling quite jealous over the fact that many people were fawning over me. I hated when he was in these moods because I would get stuck with the worst person.
"You cannot talk me out of this, (Y/N). You should have known better than to be that friendly with the customers. Jade will help you remember from now on."
Jade was the cruelest person that you know. He would treat everything like it was a science experiment and had little regard to your health.
He would force you to try out different mushrooms that he didn't know the reaction that someone would have to. There have been many days that you just wanted to rip out your guts or just become sea foam.
The pain that would be forced upon you was the reminder that you needed. That Azul was the only bit of kindness in your life.
"Awww, is someone in pain? Does someone need their big brother's healing hugs?"
After the nightmare that was hanging out with Jade, I could barely walk. The pain in my stomach was almost paralyzing but I fought through it to reach Azul who was sitting on his bed with arms wide open.
I crawled onto his lap and relaxed my upper body against his. I felt his arms wrap around my waist. Azul whispered something and I felt magic start coursing through my body, washing away the pain. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes.
"There we go. All nice and relaxed. See, I wish that I could always be this nice with you but you keep breaking my heart. Do you know how painful that is, (Y/N)?"
I only shook my head. He has asked me that question before and I nodded my head. I refuse to remember what happened the next day.
"Of course you don't. Thus I try to help you understand but I can only show you a fraction of my pain. But you do understand that I'm doing all of this for you, right?"
I nodded my head, too tired to try and fight Azul.
"I knew you would understand. I love you, (Y/N)."
"I love you too, Big Brother."
I felt a kiss be pressed to my cheek before I drifted into the world of sleep. I'll take any nightmares there instead of facing the one in the real world.

Yandere Leona Kingscholar x Little Brother Reader headcanons/short story(?)
Okay, I have actually two ideas for this one. Let's hope that I can make this understandable and well written.
Warnings: Yandere and probably OOC again. I'm not certain. Plus this ended up longer because of my ideas. Apologies.
Leona Kingscholar
There are two ways that being the little brother of Leona can go and it depends on your personality.
A: if your personality matches his own or B: if your personality is more like Cheka/Falena (I looked this up and was shocked. His name is with an l, not an r).
Let's start with situation A.
When you were younger, like Leona, you weren't given much positive attention.
Normally what would happen during your infant years, nobody would come to tend to you. You would be thirsty, hungry and dirty for hours before your crying got onto people's nerves that they would give you what you wanted.
This led to you being a lot more irritable and naturally more aggressive towards others. Especially when your teen years hit.
You've become more brutish, people are naturally afraid of you and in all honesty, you don't really care.
You might be at the bottom of the family line but you're given respect by the strength that you display.
Despite you being four years younger than Leona, there have been multiple times where you were able to fight against Falena and Leona together and ended up winning the fight.
There have been whispers going around the palace that your parents were planning to appoint you general of a fleet in the army.
Your magic was also nothing to turn a blind eye to.
"Survival of the Fittest" drains the energy of your opponent(s), leaving a heaving, weak mess on the floor. It takes about two hours before you can use it again but if it's carefully timed, it can be a game changer.
But that's enough backstory, now, when you get to NRC, you're immediately put into Savanaclaw with your brother as your dorm leader.
"Great, I'm stuck with you. Make sure you don't drag down the dorm with you."
"I wasn't planning on it. I'm not you after all."
Yeah, your relationship with your brothers has always been quite strained, considering how much raw talent you truly had.
Your time at NRC was pretty decent. You actually were able to make friends who weren't completely scared of you. That might have been for the fact that they had no idea who you truly were.
"Yo! (Y/N)! Over here!"
I turned my head to see Ace, Deuce, Yuu and Grim sitting by an apple tree. Ace was waving like a mad man trying to get my attention. I felt a slight smile appear on my face while I jogged over.
"Hey. What's going on?"
"We're trying to figure out all of the weird happenings with the injuries. They don't appear to be normal" Yuu said, their face in their hands.
"Hmm, not normal accidents? Who have been the targets so far?"
"Mostly people that have a high chance of being good in the Spelldrive tournament."
"Which dorms?"
"All of them. Well, except for Savanaclaw and Diasomnia it seems."
I gave it some thought before a terrifying thought crossed my mind. I remember Leona casually mentioning a certain hyena's unique magic.
"Ruggie Bucchi."
"Hah!?"
"What?!"
"Pardon me?"
"Ruggie Bucchi. Second year member of Savanaclaw. He is the person that you should inspect."
The trio looked at themselves before giving me a smile.
"Thanks for the help, (Y/N)! We owe you one! Now, let's go get Dorm leader Rosehearts and catch this punk!"
"Not a problem."
The trio then ran away from you to go check out where Ruggie was.
You personally couldn't believe how low your brother sunk. Cheating by injuring others just to win at Spelldrive. You needed to have a talk with him.
Making your way to the botanical garden, knowing that Leona was most likely sleeping there.
You searched for him. You didn't find his body but you did find his tail.
You yanked his tail as hard as you could, effectively waking him up.
"You've got a death wish, do you know that?"
"Yeah, I've had a death wish since I was born. Now, you and I are going to have a talk about your cheating."
"What 'cheating'?"
Leona put air quotes around cheating, taunting you with a smirk. He always like to play dumb with you.
"You're sending Ruggie out to harm those who might pose a threat to Savanaclaw winning the Spelldrive tournament."
"Oh yeah? What proof do you have of us doing that?"
"It's called growing up with you. You've always cheated your way to things when you realized that nobody cares how much effort you put in."
Leona's smirk fell. He seems to forget that I've lived with him for years. Next thing that I knew, we were fighting once again, crushing plants and ruining projects.
"You're too self righteous for a first year, (Y/N)."
"And you're too selfish to be a decent dorm leader."
I successfully kicked him off of me, sending him flying against one of the plant walls, getting to my feet.
"Your desire to win will be your downfall, brother. You-"
I felt something hit my head before falling unconscious. How did I let someone sneak up on me?
When you came to, you were back in your dorm room.
Your dorm mates were there as well but they seemed to be more on edge and aggressive towards you.
They forced you down on the bed, telling you that you were under room arrest until the Spelldrive tournament was over.
Of course, you started kicking and punching to get to your door, to prevent something awful from happening but sadly, you can only do so much when you're without your mage stone.
So, you waited under dorm arrest until the tournament was over.
When night fell, your dorm mates came back looking as if they were kicked puppies and you asked teasingly how it went.
They talked about everything: Leona's overblot, all of the dorms' rage and how Diasomnia thoroughly kicked our butts.
They also didn't complain when you left your room to go find Leona. But you also weren't expecting to run into Cheka either.
"Unca (Y/N)!"
Cheka ran up to me and jumped into my arms and I gave him a little spin.
"Hey there, kiddo. Where's your father?"
"He's talking with Unca Leona right now! He also gave me permission to run around the building!"
"Ah, is that why you're without your retainers right now? You, my dear nephew, are going to be in so much trouble."
"Hehehehe~! I don't care!"
Cheka, the sunshine child, can lift anybody's mood. I quickly picked him up and put him on top of my shoulders.
"Let's go for a little run around Savanaclaw. Does that sound like fun?"
"Yeah!"
After about two hours of running around Savanclaw, Falena and Leona found both of you playing on the outdoor gym equipment.
Falena said his hellos before collecting his son and leaving Savanaclaw. Cheka gave his goodbye kisses before leaving you and Leona outside alone.
"Were you going to tell me what happened?"
Leona just stayed silent, not wanting to admit his failure.
"Ever the prideful one, aren't you, Leona? You don't have to share the story, my dorm mates already told me everything."
"Those cowards..."
I kept staring at Leona in amusement until he looked over at me. He seemed to have... regrets? I've never seen him look so regretful before.
"Well, you seemed to be tormenting yourself over it enough. I won't put more salt into your wound. Good night, Leona."
I started to make my way back to my dorm before Leona grabbed my wrist out of nowhere. I stopped in my tracks, trying to figure out what Leona wanted.
"Why are you happy?"
"Huh? Repeat that please?"
"I said, why are you happy!? You've been treated worse than I have in my life and yet, you seemed to be more or less satisfied with what you've been given! So, why!?"
Leona had some tears pricking his eyes which really threw me off. Regret looked weird enough, now, he's close to crying.
"I-I don't know! Maybe because I'm not trying to chase a fantasy!"
"I'm not chasing a fantasy!"
"Yes, you are! You've been chasing a fantasy the moment you've been born! You can't be king, Leona!"
Leona just froze when I yelled that out. I started to regret shouting that. Nobody has really just told him upfront that he can't do something. Normally, people beat around the bush and that was it. I could see the anger welling up in Leona. My nerves started setting alarms off. He just had an overblot. He's already had an emotional outburst, what would happen if I pushed too hard again?
Leona only tightened his grip around my wrist and I felt my bones start to bend. I immediately tried to get my wrist free but I wasn't succeeding. The bone snapped and I let out a yelp of pain. I wasn't used to this.
"If I can't be happy, then you can't be happy either."
Once again, I felt my world go black. What is with me and getting knocked out easily!?
When you came back again, you thought that you were going to be back in your dorm but instead, you were in a room that you weren't familiar with.
You could tell that you were back home in the Sunset Savana but where exactly? You couldn't tell.
The room was pretty small. The bed takes up a corner of the room and there is a desk, a dresser and two doors.
Getting up, you check the desk to find writing utensils and books. The dresser had your clothes in it. The first door was locked, which you guessed was the exit because the other door led to the bathroom.
Going back to the first door, you tried to break it down but you learned quickly that it was metal that only looked like wood. The painters did a good job.
Deciding that the best option was to wait for Leona to come and let you out. You didn't realize how long it would feel like. Without a clock and no real forms of entertainment, you had no idea how long you've been in the room for.
Finally, after what felt like ages, Leona came through the door and you immediately started asking and demanding things from him. Mostly answers.
He answered nothing. Just telling you that this would be where you live for the rest of your life and that you should be grateful for it. You just rolled your eyes.
Leona had to be joking. You knew that he had to be joking. Heck, he even had rules for this. That's how much he planned this awful joke.
You tried to get up and get past Leona to go through the door when you felt a searing pain in your neck.
Leona then dragged you back to the bed, letting you recover from the pain.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!"
"Obviously, you weren't listening to me when I told you you can't leave."
"WELL, YEAH! LOCKING YOUR BROTHER UP IS JUST INSANE!"
"Then let me make this clearer, you're going to listen to me because you're my little brother."
"You're actually insane. I should've known the moment that you started tearing up."
"If I'm insane, I'm going to drag you down with me."
And that's where I'm going to leave that half. I honestly might write better stories for the brothers but for now, short stories!
Now, onto part B if you're still here after that mess:
Your upbringing is very similar to part A as in you were neglected but instead of being angry about it, you found solace elsewhere.
Despite being a lion beast man, you felt no need to actually hunt or just attack in general.
You were very kind, even to those who were mean and snickered mean words behind your back.
Thanks to your helpful nature and overall kindness, you quickly became the staff's favorite prince and since you couldn't stand the suffering of others, you used the riches that were given at birth to help those who are less fortunate.
You were an icon to those who grew up in the slums of the Sunset Savana.
Falena was proud of you while Leona resented you for your nature.
You tried many times to improve Leona's life by giving him a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen but he wanted nothing to do with you.
Now, you might be thinking that you're going to go to RSA. That's actually not the case. You were invited to go to NRC because of your unique magic.
While most unique magics fit the owner, yours was close to the opposite.
"Obey Me" would force whoever you had in your sights to obey your every word. (It's sort of like Snake Whisper but for the fact that nobody can dodge it unless they are out of your sight.) Magic coils around your arms and drains at a decent pace, telling you how much time you have left and if you use all of your magic on it, you end up K.O.ing yourself.
You were quite nervous for your first day at NRC. You stepped up to the mirror and it told you that you belong to Octavinelle.
"Welcome! We're happy to have you join our dorm!" Azul Ashengrotto, your new dorm leader, said, spreading his arms open.
"Pleasure to be a part of it."
"Ehhh~ You're supposed to be with us~? How weird~"
"Hehehehe, I'm certain that you'll spice our dorm up no problem, (Y/N)."
I took a deep breath and quickly swallowed the ever growing ball of saliva that was growing in the back of my throat. The looks of the dorm leader and these twins were putting me on edge.
I turned my head to look at my brother just to see him trying to fall asleep in his chair. Ah, Leona, will you ever change?
Octavinelle was actually a decent choice for you!
You may not have agreed with how Azul chose to handle his 'benevolence' but he didn't stop you from showing yours.
You were quickly declared an Octavinelle treasure by the dorm members for the fact that you were always willing to help and sacrifice anything, just to make another's life easier.
It wasn't as if you were hurting from it either. You knew how to balance your life from the time that you started to help those who were less unfortunate than yourself.
Being a part of Octavinelle also didn't stop you from going over to Savanaclaw (Much to Azul's dismay) to see your brother.
You and Ruggie became close friends due to the fact that you were actually someone who Ruggie has looked up to for the past few years of his life and also with the fact that you're willing to help him wrangle Leona when he refuses to go to class.
"Thanks again for helping me find Leona again, (Y/N). He's actually starting to put effort into finding hiding places around campus."
"It's not a problem, Ruggie. He's probably doing it so that he doesn't have to deal with me nagging him over and over again to go to class."
"Yeah, LEONA! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"LEONA! YOU'RE NEEDED!"
Ruggie and I ended up finding Leona in one of the pockets that were in Heartslabyul's rose maze.
"How did Riddle let him in?"
"Bold of you to assume that he asked permission."
I moved towards Leona after picking a rose from the nearest bush. I held it close to his nose and started lightly shaking it.
Leona's nose started to twitch and eventually, he had an explosive sneeze which woke him up. He looked at Ruggie and I before he tackled me to the ground.
"You have a lot of guts to wake me up in such a way."
"Well, I needed to get creative considering you have class and also with the fact that you said and I quote, "If you touch me to wake me up again, you'll lose your arms"."
Leona's glare sharpened and his grip on my arms tightened to the point where bruises were going to form. After about ten seconds of a stare down, Leona loosened up before just collapsing down onto me.
"Leona, what are you doing?"
"Shut up. For waking me up in that manner, you're now my pillow for the rest of the day."
"Leona, you have class."
"Shut it."
"He's in one of his moods again. Ruggie, you can go. He won't be getting up now."
"Are you sure, (Y/N)?"
"Yeah, I'll watch over him."
"Didn't I tell both of you to shut it?"
Ruggie then closed his mouth before running off into the maze once again. I lightly waved at him before directing my attention back to my brother. Leona, you're always going to be a handful, aren't you?
Thankfully, being Leona's pillow wasn't much of a punishment to you anymore. He used to do it when you were smaller and in a bad mood.
You made sure to see Leona at least once a day to make sure that he wasn't causing too much trouble for Ruggie or just to make sure that he was doing okay.
But life got horribly in the way for one week. Azul needed a server to work certain hours for an entire week and you were the only person whose classes didn't clash with that schedule. Azul was very close to begging you to take the position, promising you plenty of things that you didn't need.
"Please, (Y/N)! There is no telling what will happen to the Mostro Lounge! I'll give you plenty of pay, study guides, anything!"
Azul was really panicked. I've never seen him this wound up before. I put my hand slightly in front of me to get him to stop rambling. Thankfully, it seemed to have worked.
"I'm willing to do your hours. You don't have to get me anything though."
Azul seemed shocked by my answer. I honestly thought that his eyes were going to pop out of his skull.
"Y-y-you're serious?! You're just willing to work?!"
"Yes! Of course! You're my dorm leader after all! I'm just happy that I'll be able to assist you."
Thus started one of the busiest weeks of your life.
You were working at the Mostro Lounge any time that you weren't in class. Thankfully, during the five minute breaks that you were given, you were able to finish your homework for your classes.
Azul was very thankful for your efforts. Ever since you started serving, it seemed that more and more customers came to the lounge. You just had that charisma about you.
When the week of just pure working was done, you just nearly collapsed on your bed and nearly passed out. You were actually going to do that if it wasn't for a knock on your door.
Letting out a groan of protest, you head over to the door and open it to see Ruggie standing there, looking worse for wear.
"Ruggie? What happened? Why do you look as if you've been sent to the netherworld and were forced to crawl your way back by yourself?"
"Leona. He's been running the entire dorm ragged for the past three days. Please! Come and try to talk some sense into him!"
Ruggie had the same desperation that Azul had at the start of the week. Leona was actually enforcing his rule over his dorm? What has gotten into him?
"Okay, let me just quickly get changed out of my uniform."
"Thank you, (Y/N)!"
You've never seen Savanaclaw in a worse condition before.
Sure, it was a savanna but there weren't even living trees anymore! Everything seemed to have lost life and was just getting worse by the second.
Ruggie was quick to try and get me to Leona. All of the Savanaclaw dorm members seemed to be really hungry and miserable. Even Jack was looking insanely tired. When you came into their line of view, they immediately perked up, like you were some sort of savior.
Ruggie basically pushed you into Leona's room before closing the door behind you, leaving you with your older brother.
Leona also looked quite different. No longer did he really give off lazy, apathetic vibes. He seemed to have an air about him that made your tail go between your legs.
Another surprising thing was the fact that Leona wasn't lying on his bed, instead he was standing and looking out his window. He then turned his head towards you and his eyes scared you.
His eyes were completely void of any strong emotion. It's like someone just drained Leona of who he is.
"Where were you."
Leona's voice reminded me of our father whenever one of us would disobey him. He was angry and an angry Leona was never a good sign.
"I was busy at the Mostro Lounge and my classes."
"Why."
"W-well, Azul asked for my he-"
"Grrr, that cephalopunk... Next time, he asks you for help, you're going to say no."
"Pardon me?"
"I know that you heard me."
I haven't seen Leona like this in a while. He's actually acting like a king.
"You do understand that Azul is my dorm leader, right?"
"And if he makes a mistake that only you can fix, just let him struggle to fix it himself."
"I can't do that with a good conscience."
"That's why as your older brother, I'm ordering you to never help that cephalopunk again."
"Wow, you're acting a lot like Falena right now."
"Zip it. I've already contacted Crowley and got his tail into high gear. Starting tomorrow, you're going to be a part of Savanaclaw."
"What?! You can't do that!"
"I already have. This is so I can keep a closer eye on you and who you hang out with. You're my little brother after all. It's my job to protect you."

Yandere Riddle Rosehearts x Little Brother Reader headcanons/short story(?)
Oh boy, am I nervous about this. I love TWST and I really hope that I do these characters justice. Okay, I wrote this and there needs to be a bunch of different warnings I realized. If I miss a warning that you think is important, please inform me. P.S. This is platonic and also I have a completely different idea for an older brother of Riddle's.
Warnings: Obsession, abuse, mild force age regress (Maybe? Not certain), gaslighting, overall not good things.
Riddle Rosehearts
As we all know, Riddle's childhood was rough growing up because of his mother.
He is her legacy walking.
But what does that make the second offspring?
A little more than servant to the first one.
Your mother engraved into you since birth to obey every word that your older brother says.
She forced heavier training regimens onto you instead of studying. Saying "You don't need to learn. Your brain is of no use to Riddle."
Because you both were very young, none of you understood that what she was doing was wrong.
You were only three years younger than Riddle but you already have more strength and endurance than him.
(By the way, you're shorter than him.)
But that doesn't mean that you were useless in magic either.
Your unique magic, "By Order of the King", creates a rosebush on the back of whoever disobeys Riddle's words. The rosebush reacts to Riddle's mood, if he's happy, roses bloom but if he's upset, thorns start growing. The only way to get the rosebush off is if Riddle forgives the troublemaker.
When Riddle met Trey and Chenya, that's when he started to realize that your mother's treatment of both of you was unnecessarily cruel.
He tried in his daily life to get you to be your own person but your mother made that nearly impossible, threatening your safety if you dare when against her orders.
When it was time for Riddle to go to NRC, your mother made you go along with him to make sure that he would be safe.
Dire Crowley welcomed both of you with open arms (Probably to get on your mother's good side) and for the first year, everything went decently fine.
Riddle quickly became the dorm leader and enforced the Queen's rules onto the rest of the dorm. He also made you basically a soldier to carry out his every whim. The power seemed to have gone to his head a little. His unique magic took care of most of the troublemakers but every once in a while, you were called on to use yours.
The dorm was terrified of disobeying Riddle too much and end up facing your wrath.
Then the second year rolled around and everything became different.
With a certain ginger, bluenette and a magicless prefect, the dorm was thrown into mild chaos.
Riddle was collaring people left, right and center, terrifying even you.
Then he overblotted.
"You fools! I'm always right!"
"You can't force people to just follow your dumb rules!"
"Yeah, dorm leader! Can't you see that your expectations are too high for anyone to reach?!"
"Why you-!"
Riddle was getting madder and madder to the point that I was starting to become scared of him hurting himself more. I quickly decided what was my best course of action.
"By Order of the King!"
I sent By Order of the King to the creature behind Riddle, effectively stopping it from attacking anybody. Sadly, this also got Riddle's attention.
"(Y/N)! You dare go against your Queen?!"
I only nodded my head, getting ready to fight. I never wanted to hurt my older brother but it seems that might be the only way to get him to snap out of this.
Riddle then lunged towards me and we got into a bit of a tangled position. His dress had thorns which were digging into my skin wherever they could. I got a few good hits on him but I overestimated how much the overblot would also improve his physical strength as well. It also didn't help that the ink that coated him was trying to take control of my limbs as well.
"If you're so willing to go against your Queen, then it's Off with Your Head!"
I felt his collar go around my throat, cutting off my oxygen, ruining my focus and overall, making this fight harder. While I was trying to regain my focus, I felt my head being lifted off the ground before slammed repeatedly onto the ground. The last thing that I truly remember was Riddle's cackling before losing my consciousness.
The next thing I knew was that I was in the infirmary with Riddle crying by my side and bandages wrapped all over my head.
Riddle then grabbed you into a hug, being wary of the injuries that he caused you, and promised to be a better big brother. Something sounded wrong in his tone but you decided to brush it off.
It took close to a month for you to heal completely but when you were allowed back to the dorms, Riddle was completely different.
"(Y/N)? Where are you going?"
I turned my head towards my brother.
"I'm just going to do my daily tasks for the dorm."
Riddle then walked up to me and ushered me into a hug.
"You're too young to be doing chores for the dorm. Let's just go outside and play around for a bit."
"Sorry, Riddle but I've got to do my part as well."
Riddle's face became colder while he glared down at me. I've never seen him this angry at me.
"(Y/N). That wasn't a suggestion. It was an order. You're going to stop acting like this and act your age."
Riddle then grabbed my uninjured arm before dragging me back to our shared room. He forced me to sit on the bed before grabbing me into a cuddle. I felt my body stiffen and freeze into place. I'm not used to this type of attention before.
"You, like me, have been denied familial love. I wasn't strong enough to protect you from that witch when you were younger, but now, I'm going to change all of that."
That's when your life was turned upside down once again.
When Riddle first realized that you shouldn't be ordered around, he didn't do it as much. But now, he does it all the time, knowing that you'll follow whether you want to or not.
Riddle refused for you to do anything that was considered "Too grown up" to him. Which meant anything that wasn't breathing, standing, walking, and sleeping.
He hand fed you, helped you change, and many other embarrassing things.
"You're my baby brother. That means that I have to help you with everything."
That's always Riddle's reasoning either against you or against anybody at the dorm who would try to help plead your case. The only difference between you asking and someone was the fact that if it was someone else, they would lose their head for the next three days.
Riddle was slowly starting to become more and more suffocating. He forbade you from talking to anybody in a different dorm and started limiting people in his own dorm.
Heck, Trey was now on thin ice with Riddle.
"What exactly are you doing here, Trey?"
"Umm, you asked me to serve you and your brother for this tea party?"
"Right. Apologies."
Eventually, the new suffocating nature that Riddle adapted became too much for you but you couldn't leave Riddle's side. Your mother's conditioning wouldn't allow you to.
"Why are you frowning, (Y/N)? You shouldn't be this upset."
"I'm sorry, Riddle. I'll try to be in a better mood."
"No, I want to know why you feel the need to throw a tantrum. I understand that it's natural for boys your age but you must let me know why you're upset, to fix it."
"Well, I don't like how you've become controlling."
"Brother, do you really think that I'm controlling? Look between me and our mother. I'm only trying to liberate you."
"By treating me as if I'm an infant?"
"You are not being treated as an infant."
"Yes, I am. You won't let me do anything for myself!"
"I'm trying to give you a childhood! If you think that you're being treated as an infant, then I'll treat you as if you're an infant!"
Riddle stuck true to his words.
He shrunk you down with his magic and started treating you as if you were only two years old.
Riddle was very close to raising you like how your mother raised you but thankfully, Trey was there to sway him from certain methods.
It took three whole weeks to convince Riddle to let you be your original height again and have small freedoms again.
"See, (Y/N)? Isn't this life much better? Are you still feeling like you're being treated like an infant?"
Yes, I thought bitterly to myself but I held my tongue.
"No. Thank you for giving me the freedom to be a child, Riddle."
"You're welcome, (Y/N). Now, how about we go and give you a bath? You've been playing outside and got mud all over you."
"Yes, Riddle."

Overprotective Ashwinder x Child Reader
Once again, not a Harry Potter fan but there is now a Harry Potter character. Newt is most likely OOC and I apologize. Also because Ashwinders die really fast, I changed it a tiny bit.
"Why didn't you keep a close eye on the fire?! You know exactly what can come from magical fires!" Mom yelled at Dad for his reckless behavior again.
He's always been like this. My dad isn't a bad dad. The only problem is that his mind tends to wander at moments which ends up in him forgetting important details or important events. We still love him dearly though but right now, we are in mild trouble. An Ashwinder formed from the fire that my dad made and he forgot to put it out in a reasonable amount of time.
"I'm sorry, honey. I was just really excited about the potion almost being done that I forgot how I made the fire. I'm really sorry." Dad apologized, looking quite upset about the mess that he made once again.
"It's fine, sweetie but now we need to find the Ashwinder or the eggs before our entire house gets burned down. Alright everyone, spread out. Let's capture this fire snake." Mom gave the command and we all scattered.
Being only seven, it was going to be hard for me to capture the snake since I don't even have a wand to use. Hopefully I won't be too late if I find it and give my parents time to come and help me. I felt the temperature of the air increase when I went up to the attic. I gave Dad a quick signal before I went in myself. I can understand as to why the Ashwinder decided that our attic was the best place to lay its eggs. It was dark and mostly secluded.
I saw the dust of the Ashwinder left behind and found the eggs in a hidden corner. I went to pick up one of the eggs but I quickly retracted it when my brain brought up the fact that Ashwinder eggs will burn your hand awful if you aren't careful enough. Looking around, I found an Easter basket and put it as close to the eggs as possible before playing a slight game of hot potato. Once they were all in the basket, I rushed out of the house. Thankfully, all of the doors were open making it insanely easy to get outside. The fresh air felt nice on the fall day except I had to get to the small cave near our house to put these eggs in. I heard that you can freeze the eggs to get some good money but... My family have bleeding hearts towards the creatures that exist in the world with us and we couldn't bring ourselves to do that.
I placed the basket on the floor of the cave before rushing out. The heat of the eggs was hot and that meant that they were going to hatch very soon. As soon as I left the cave, it burst into flames. Seems that my judgement was correct. My parents came out side to watch the hatch fire with me.
The fire was big. I had to carry out ten plus eggs. The number was one of the highest nests that we've ever seen. Thankfully, we're able to handle Ashwinder incidents thanks to my Dad's forgetful nature. We've actually lost houses before but it hasn't happened in the past five years. We always have to watch out for an fires made by Dad. We also have an abundance of floo powder in the house that doesn't help the cause. That was a fun accident that Mom made for once.
After about three minutes, all of the flames burnt out and we watched as the newly born Ashwinders crawl out of the cave. They were all moving so slow aside from one which appeared to not be moving at all. My parents and I started to walk around to all of the fire pits that we have set up around the cave. This was so that all of the Ashwinders had a nice warm and safe place while they grow to be adults. The snakes were all thankful for the fires and started to hibernate in the flames for around a month. Or at least that's the normal amount of time. Sometimes shorter of a tad longer.
I was looking over all of the Ashwinders when my eyes looked over at the cave to see the one that refused to move earlier was just watching me. This Ashwinder was very different from the rest of its siblings. Its scales were a dark gray instead of an ashy gray and its eyes were a glowing orange. When our eyes met, it started slithering over to me instead of seeking warmth from a fire.
"What's wrong with that Ashwinder? The fire should be calling to it. Is it a runt?" Mom asked, grabbing me and lifting me away from the Ashwinder.
"I don't know. I've seen plenty of Ashwinders before but I don't remember any with color variation." Dad said, marveling at the off colored snake.
"No offense, honey but eve if you did, I don't think that you would remember it." Mom shot, getting a small giggle from me.
"Maybe I should give Newt a call. He could possibly know about this weird color choice."
I started bouncing up and down in my Mom's arms. I loved it when Mr. Scamander came to visit us. He would teach me about all the different types of creatures that he would see and take care of. I aspire to be like him when I grow up.
Dad decided to go write a letter to Newt and left us with the weird Ashwinder. The Ashwinder started hissing furiously after my Dad and started to glow a deep red.
"What the?"
The Ashwinder then lit itself on fire and started slithering at my Mom at max speed. Mom let out a shriek and accidentally dropped me. She has issues with her grip ever since someone challenged her to a holding challenge that lasted for four whole days. It was a close call but Mom prevailed by only five extra seconds. This resulted in her getting free food at a restaurant plus permanent gripping issues.
The Ashwinder, after I fell onto the ground, put itself out and wrapped around my arm. Because of it being just born, it could only coil around my arm. He then rested his head on my bicep and closed his eyes. I could hear happy little hisses come from him. I decided to test my luck and pet him a few times on his head. He seemed to have enjoyed that. My Dad came back outside, looking extremely happy.
"The letter is on its way! I hope that Newt will be able to visit us. Where did the little ankle biter go?" Dad was searching the ground for the Ashwinder.
"Around our child's arm. The thing lit itself on fire and charged at me. For some unknown reason, it really likes (Y/N)." Mom said, letting out a shiver.
Dad picked me up and observed the creature who was wrapped around my arm.
"Would you look at that? (Y/N)! You've got yourself a new friend! How cool is that?!" Dad smiled at me, giving me a small spin.
I let out a laugh before smiling down at the Ashwinder. I'm now super excited for the new adventure that awaits me in the future with this creature.
*Time skip to about a week*
"Fascinating. And it hasn't died yet." Newt said, examining the Ashwinder with fire proof gloves.
Yeah, Newt decided to hold the snake instead of just holding me. It was letting out angry hisses and lit itself on fire plenty of times. It has a limit for how long is can keep on fire apparently.
"And the only person that it likes is (Y/N), you say? Let's do a few tests with them first. (Y/N), would you please come over here?"
I walked over to Newt and waited for him to inform me on what he wanted me to do. Alasker calmed down a bit when I walked towards newt but was still very on edge.
"Hold out your hands. I'm going to give this little guy back to you. Be prepared." Newt instructed me.
I held out my hands and Newt just dropped Alasker into my hands without much warning. Alasker quickly put himself out before hitting my hands. Newt's eyes widened by a few centimeters and a grin split out on his face.
"Amazing! The Ashwinder really doesn't want to hurt you. I wonder if this is only with kids or if it's just you, (Y/N). Would you mind if I did a few tests with him?" Newt asked me, hope was shining in his eyes.
I subconsciously brought Alasker closer to my body. I was worried about what type of tests that he was talking about. I know that some tests can be really painful and I don't want to put Alasker in any pain. Dad felt my vibe and stepped up in my stead.
"I know that you most likely wouldn't hurt Alasker but (Y/N) just wants to make sure that the tests that you're talking about wouldn't put him into any pain." Dad said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
Alasker gave him a warning hiss before snuggling back into my stomach.
"Alasker? They told the name that they chose for the snake?" Newt asked, excitement was peaking through his tone of voice.
I've never really liked talking all that much so whenever I do talk, my family treats it like it's a national event and that everyone in the world needs to treat it as such.
"No, they sadly didn't speak. Instead they were writing Ashwinder multiple times and eventually, their writing got so messy that it looked like Alasker and they ended up naming him that." Dad explained, giving a sad look to me.
"Well, that's a shame but anyway, these tests shall not be painful to Alasker. They are reaction tests. Harmless as can be." Newt explained, giving me a pat on the head.
Alasker also gave Newt a warning hiss plus an attempted bite to his arm. I gave plenty of small pets to Alasker's head to calm him down. I would feel pretty bad if Newt got hurt because of how angry that Alasker got.
"Well, (Y/N)? Is it okay if I take Alasker with me for the rest of the day? You're allowed to say no if you want."
I nodded my head and held out Alasker. I trusted Newt with almost anything of mine. I know how much he adores his own beasts and I knew that he would gladly take care of any creature that I would find.
Newt took Alasker and let me tell you, Alasker was very upset with the whole world at that point. He relit himself on fire and was biting Newt's arms without stopping. Newt then took off with Alasker. Dad then picked me up in return and we headed for the game boards because it was time for game night.
A few hours had passed and I was starting to get worried for Newt. He hasn't come back yet but we haven't heard of any creams of fire yet. Mom could sense my unease and made me some (F/D) to distract me. I was very thankful for that. Plus for the fact that I love some good (F/D).
After about another hour or two, Newt came back into our house with a burnt out Alasker. Newt also looked like he came out of a bonfire plus his gloves were charred. I jumped out of my chair and took Alasker from his hands then cradled him in my arms. Dad went to our guest room and got Newt a new set of clothing. Newt is a very close friend to my Dad so, we basically made the guest room into a room for Newt to stay in.
"Thank you, (D/N). I appreciate the kindness. Alasker is more of a handful than I originally thought he would be." Newt said, going into a bathroom to get changed out of his burnt attire.
I took Alasker into my room. I was done with the rest of my family and Newt for the time. It was snake and (Y/N) time. I put him down on the floor and went to set up our playpen. It was full of different toys and cushions. After I got the doors open, Alasker joined me indie of the pen and we just started playing make believe. I noticed that Alasker was more tired than normal so I made the executive decision that it was time for Alasker to turn in.
I picked him up and put him into the fire proof cradle. I started rocking it but Alasker was refusing to fall asleep. I let out a sigh and realized that I had to use my most powerful weapon.
"Go to sleep~ My little snakey friend~. Go take a leap~ Into sleepy land~." I sang, my voice floating throughout the air.
Alasker stood no chance against the slow melody that is the lullaby that I came up with. I continued until I completely finished the tune. When it was done, Alasker was in a deep sleep and then I realized how thirsty I was. I went to leave my room and when I opened my door, both of parents and Newt were standing right there, trying to act like they weren't spying on me. I let out another sigh before rushing past them.
"(Y/N)! You have a wonderful voice. Do you think that at one point you could sign for my creatures? I think that they would love to hear a soothing voice like yours." Newt said, trying to get me to speak/sing more.
I only shook my head no before getting my glass of water. He looked pretty disappointed when I gave my answer but I just wasn't comfortable talking in front of multiple creatures let alone sing.
"Don't worry about it, Newt. If it really came down to it, (Y/N) would most likely sing for your creatures if they are really angry." Dad reasoned.
I passed them all again and went straight to bed. I was tired of the crap that happened earlier and I wasn't going to deal with it. I gave one last pet to Alasker before passing into the dream land myself.
The morning came faster than I thought that it would but when I woke up, I realized that I couldn't move any of my arms or legs. When I opened my eyes, all that I could see was Alasker. I started to panic a bit. When was Alasker this big?! Newt said that he wasn't going to any bad tests on him. Did he lie?
I wasn't thinking before I let out a huge scream which warned the whole house. I heard footsteps rushing to my room and the door burst open.
"What on earth happened?!" Newt yelled, taking him off of my suspect list.
"(Y/N)! Are you okay?!" Dad also yelled, rushing over to my side.
Alasker was awake by this point and when Dad got really close, he hit the man with his tail and let out a warning hiss. Dad backed off at that sign.
"Why has he grown? This makes no sense. Maybe I should take him with me on my travels just to make sure that he is safe to be around." Newt observed, pulling out his want to apparate Alasker to his suitcase.
Alasker was immediately on the defense and lunged for Newt's wand, almost getting his jaws around it. But sadly, he wasn't fast enough and got transported into the suitcase. I was relieved to have my limbs back but I didn't want to lose one of my closest friends in the process. I ran over to Newt and put my hands on his suitcase.
"I know, (Y/N). It's really hard to let go of close friends but I want to make sure that you'll be safe with Alasker. He seemed to be really possessive over you. I tired yesterday to see if he liked any other being, wizard or muggle, but he was offensive to all of them. I think it's just best in this case for me to study him for a bit longer." Newt explained, giving me a hug.
This definitely shocked me because I knew that Newt wasn't big on physical contact but I was joyful anyway. Hugs are always a huge mood lifter for me.
"Okay, I trust you with him, Newt." I whispered to him.
The smile on Newt's face was so wide that I thought it might it might split his face in two. He then bid us adieu and took his leave. We waved him off and I started to pray for Alasker's well-being. He will always be my little snake friend and I hope that he'll be okay.

Yandere Acromantula w/ child reader
A.N. Okay, so, I should mention that I am not a Harry Potter fan in the slightest but I do find the creatures fascinating. Thus I wanted to write some stuff with each creature. If any Harry Potter character does appear in the writing, they will most likely be ooc because I didn't read any of the books past the first one. Apologies if that upset someone. Also there will be some triggering things when reading this. If something related to the yandere genre, do yourself a favor and don't read. P.S. this is all platonic.
"Hello?"
I called out, hoping to find my parents again.
My parents and I were on a trip to Borneo and we decided to take a tour of one of the jungles there. Sadly, my parents continued along their way while I was admiring a beautiful flower. I was trying to find somebody from my travel group but instead, I was just getting more and more lost. The sun started going down and the forest was getting darker and darker. Tears started to fill the corners of my eyes for my imagination was making shapes and creatures that weren't real.
"Mommy! Daddy! Where are you?!" I shouted, running away from the gruesome creatures of the shadows.
A root was slightly above the ground and snagged my foot. I tripped and spun around on the ground. Like Sonic The Hedgehog's spin attack. I got plenty of different scrapes and bruises but the worse was the fact that my ankle got twisted. I tried to get back up but I couldn't put any pressure on my foot to get anywhere.
'Time to start crawling. It would be better than nothing at all.'
I used my elbows to dig into the ground to start inching forward. Plenty of rocks were digging into my skin but I had to ignore the pain to actually get far away from anything. Eventually, I made it to an area that was covered with spider webs everywhere. The webs were quite large and the silk was extra sticky. You could see the drops on each string. I was doing my best to avoid the webs but I'm not the most careful person in the world.
My arm got stuck in one of the webs and I couldn't get loose from it. I really didn't want to be eaten by a giant spider today. I was wriggling as much as I could but I ended up getting more and more entangled in the web.
"You poor little child. Got stuck inside of my web it seems. What is something as small and weak as you doing in this dark forest?" A silky, woman's voice came in my ears.
I felt myself freeze for a few seconds before and uncontrollable shake started to take over my entire body. My breathing became irregular and shaky. My vision was starting to become blurry with the tears that were starting to form in my eyes. I then felt a presence behind me which made me turn around slightly. That proved to be a horrible decision.
A giant spider was only about two feet away from me. I thought that spiders couldn't talk or if they could, then humans were just not able to understand them. She was covered in black hair and was making a clicking noise that reminded me of my father's snapping. She then brought one of her legs up to brush my hair out of my face slightly.
The tears that were originally staying put started to flow freely down my face. All that I wanted now is my mother.
"M-mommy..." I whispered to myself, thinking that if I said her name that she would magically appear and save me from this situation. With her in mind, I could feel phantom hugs and kisses from her.
"Mommy?" The spider repeated, confusion filling her being, not used to being called mommy.
The acromantula then started to observe her prey and notice certain features that she originally didn't pay much attention before. The little child's sparkling eyes were filled with fear and sorrow but also had a few hidden sparks of curiosity. Their hair was beautifully styled and was fuller than the hair that covered her and her family's bodies. All of the bright red scrapes and blue/purple bruises that were covering their nicely colored skin.
After a detailed scan, the acromantula decided to speak again and try to comfort the crying child.
"You are quite the stunning creature, little one. Especially for a human. Normally, I don't care much for appearances but you, my dear, would be quite a shame to lose. Now, it's time for us to go and meet all of your new siblings. But, let us make sure that you don't accidentally hurt yourself anymore. My birth name is Reina but you can call me Mommy."
Reina plucked me out of her web and then proceeded to wrap a silk cocoon around me at a fast pace. My fight or flight kicked in and I had panic filling my veins.
"N-no! Wait, please!" I shouted, trying to struggle to prevent the cocoon from being made.
"Now, now. No squirming. You don't have to worry anymore. I'll take great care of you. How about to build some trust, you tell me your name since I already told you mine." Reina said, successfully getting silk all around my arms and legs, which also ended all of my struggling.
"(Y-Y/N)." I choked out, my throat tightening from all of the crying and the fact that my fate was sealed with a silk ribbon.
"(Y/N). What a unique name. I quite like that name. Well, I hope that you enjoy your new home with all of your new siblings."
After making sure that I secure on her back, Reina quickly climbed up a tree, revealing how large the webs truly were. She was moving at such blinding speed that I needed to close my eyes for most of it. I reopened my eyes when I felt the wind stop flowing my hair. We made it to what seemed to be a giant web. I could see the ground and I did not appreciate how far it was from me.
Something else that I noticed was all of the giant orbs that were littered around the web. They seemed to be the size of a beach ball but I had a feeling that they were actually beach balls. Reina then removed my cocoon from her back and stuck me to the web. She cut most of the web away from my body except from my back to make sure that I wouldn't tumble down to the ground below. She then took my twisted ankle and started to wrap it. It was an excellently made cast. I just wish it was a human who made it.
"There we go. Now, I want you to stay off that leg of yours. You wouldn't want to go and make your ankle worse. I'm gonna go and make sure that all of your unborn siblings are doing just fine."
So, that's what all of the beach balls things are. They're her eggs. While she seemed to be distracted, I started to observe the web that I was stuck on. It seemed that the webs actually climb down the trees. If I could crawl over there, I can climb all of the way down to the ground.
I started to struggle to try and get off of my back but I quickly realized that was a bad idea. I don't know how to move around the web without falling to my doom. The web on my back was the only thing that was keeping me from falling to my death.
"All of my babies are nice and healthy. Now, it's time to ensure that you won't be eaten the first time that I leave you alone in the web," Reina explained, petting my head lightly with one of her legs, "And then we can have some well needed parent child time together."
Reina picked me up once again and started rushing through the trees. I saw plenty of other large spiders on the way. They didn't seem all that pleased with my presence. I started to shake slightly. Their glares mixed with the deep seeded loneliness of being lost were making near impossible to breath normally. I tried to take deep breaths to regulate my heartbeat. It only worked slightly.
"We're here." Reina said out of nowhere.
I looked behind my shoulder at another spider like Reina. Except he was a tad smaller then Reina. Reina took me off of her back before she started talking with the other spider. They started yelling at each other but I sort of tuned them out. I didn't need to know if I was going to be eaten or not by the male spider.
The male spider seemed to back down because Reina was getting really scary. He only nodded to her before going off on his own. Reina started to let out light clicks. They reminded me of the snapping that my dad would do to me when I was a baby to entertain me. Reina picked me up again and started to carry me back to her web. I was honestly getting really sick of being carried around like I'm some sort of doll for Reina. But I know better than to try and get out of this. Falling to my death isn't better.
We made it back and Reina stuck me on my back once again. She kept on clicking but she was adding more webs around my body. She stuck my hands and legs into a star fish position and I couldn't move at all. After she was pleased with what she done, Reina just laid down near me.
"There you go, all tucked in and safe. Now, let's bring your siblings over."
Reina then rolled all 100 eggs over to where I was stuck and next thing that I knew was that I was surrounded by all of the soft squishy eggs. Reina then crawled over the eggs carefully before lying down on top of me.
"There we go. Now, you won't freeze half way through the night."
Reina then closed her eyes and started click rhythmically. The clicks started to make me drift off to sleep as well. It was like some sort of lullaby.
I don't know how long I was out for. When I came to, Reina wasn't there but I was still surrounded by all of the eggs. The ones that were closest to me were actually tapping me which I found odd. It was like the baby spiders were trying to get close to me.
"Awwww, how adorable."
Reina' voice flooded my ears and freaked me out. I jolted my head towards her and saw her with an animal carcass.
"W-What's adorable?"
"That my babies are already growing close to you! I was worried that they were too far within their growing process to like someone other than their Mommy. But now my fears are fictional."
Reina placed the animal down before crawling over to me. My fear was renewed and I tried to struggle once again but the webs were still really strong. Reina laid down on me again and started clicking.
This became a sort of pattern for the next few weeks. I would wake up, my 'siblings' would be all around me, and Reina would come back with some sort of food for us. My ankle finally healed and Reina spent an entire week to teach me how to walk on the webs. It actually a lot of fun to crawl over each of the lines!
One day, when Reina was out and I finally worked up the courage to crawl down one of the trees, something started happening to the eggs. Cracks started to form all over the shells. Panic was starting to form in my stomach and made me kick my movements into high gear.
I was walking as quickly as I could around the web to reach one of the trunks but before I could reach it, I was tackled to the web by one of the newly hatched spiders.
"Sibling! Sibling! Sibling!" All of the new born spiders started chanting around me.
"H-he-hey! N-n-n-no. I'm not your sibling."
"Yes, you are! We recognize you!"
I kept trying to distract all of the young ones but eventually, I was being chased around the web in a weird version of tag. Thankfully, I ended up tiring a few of them out but in the end, I was the one who ended up losing all of their energy. The not tired spiders crawled on top of me once again while the more tired once crawled onto the dog pile.
I tried to squirm my way out from underneath all of the children but I couldn't move an inch. My vision started to fade. I guess that I was more tired than I originally guessed. I woke up to Reina's laughter. I felt her legs lightly stroking my head.
"This is such a welcoming scene to come back to. My babies hatched and to see them cuddling their older sibling. This is everything that I could have dreamed of when I took you in. The best part is that I can sense that you are not of wizard heritage. Which means that you can't use powers to get away from us, plus anybody who might try to look for you wouldn't know that we exist. What a perfect scenario."
My mind went blank at her words. Wizards are real. I shouldn't be too surprised considering I'm having a conversation with a spider right now. I heard a tiny yawn before a shout of "Mother!" was sounded.
All of the tiny spiders crawled off of me and started to crawl on Reina. I started to try and crawl backwards towards a tree trunk but Reina took notice of my movements and shot out of silk, sticking my leg to the web.
"Now, now, (Y/N). I know that you're as excited as I am but you must stay here for now. Now, my children, I'm hoping that your older siblings did a good job of entertaining and taking care of you while I was gone. Who's hungry though? I've got a lot of delicious food for all of us to feast upon." Reina spoke, successfully getting all of the young spiders crawling towards the food.
Reina watched over her children before turning her gaze towards me. I started shaking because now, I had no chance of escaping this web. Why couldn't the children have hatched tomorrow?!
"Come now, my child. We must feast as well."
Reina sliced through her web and held out her leg for me to grab. She was glaring at me, sort of taunting me to disobey her. I forced myself to grab her leg and I started walking to the food.
"That's my good child."
