There was a meat market here and an abattoir not far from where this was shot. The killing was done down here and the market was up those steps. The name not so cunning or macabre as it sounds eh? #Fleshmarket equals meat market. Simple. Most closes follow the same pattern in the #Old #Town, generally named after a profession, prominent or famous resident or the most wealthy person to lay home here down the years.... . Well the middle of November hails the start of #Christmas in Edinburgh (!) ...yep, somebody, somewhere decided there was no need to follow a couple of thousand years of tradition and just kick off on the 19th November. Just back from shooting the #OldTown . It's two degrees celsius up at the #castle right now and dropping like a stone in water.
