i made a playlist of songs that have a duration as a title
points of interest in this one:
i spent a frankly insane amount of time calculating how long “One Hundred Sleepless Nights” is, which culminated in using government data and an actual spreadsheet
“52 Weeks” < “365 Days” = “525,600 Minutes” < “1 Year”
“5 Years, 3 Months, 18 Days” followed by “5 Years, 4 Months, 3 Days” followed by “5 Years, 8 Months and 12 Days”

My boyfriend was showing me his cat and I leaned over to kiss the cat on his soft little baby head and he went "meow" and scrambled away because I'd been wearing my headphones and I accidentally jabbed him with the microphone.
And I said "Damn, this is exactly like in the Iliad"

hi! i was wondering if you had a recommended sappho translation? i read one the other day that was stripped of all queerness and i was like :/
hello!! hooray this is my favorite kind of question!! My personal favorites are Anne Carson's translations -- I recommend her book "If Not, Winter". Carson is a poet herself and does a wonderful job with the translations, and she keeps the queerness! Best of luck with your Sappho reading and have fun discovering new emotions :)
