“Cas… why’s my brother holed up in his Cave with like all of our spare blankets rewatching Reina de Corazones? Did you two have a fight?”
Castiel frowns at Sam, his irritation making way for utter confusion. “I—no? Why would you think that?"
Sam makes a face, like he’s unsure how much he should reveal, but then he plows on. "Dean always rewatches that show for comfort when he’s upset. Like, sad. Specifically like…” He gestures vaguely at Castiel, then reluctantly elaborates when Castiel’s facial expression must make clear that he doesn’t understand what Sam is talking about. “Like, when you leave him.”
That doesn’t make any sense, and Castiel says as much to Sam. “I’m right here. We haven’t spent any significant time apart in weeks.”
“Yeah, that’s why I thought you had a fight. But…?”
“We didn’t, ” Castiel repeats, a little defensively. But then he deflates, overcome by a feeling of defeat. If not even Sam knows what is wrong with Dean…
“I did notice that he’s been acting strangely,” he adds. “I tried asking, but he just says he’s tired. When he’s been talking at all. He seems lethargic and like he's… well, like he’s seeking comfort.” Where Castiel was irritated with Sam’s interruption before, now he turns to him with pleading eyes. “I’ve been trying to research this, but I don't… I don’t know what to do, Sam.”

cockles shippers claimed the moral high ground FOR YEARS on the basis that they were, at least, not as bad as the J2 tinhats, and, well,
sending texts to misha like this:
is genuinely unhinged. it crosses so many boundaries. do not reward tumblr users doing this. it isn’t “just another crazy day in the cockles fandom 🤪”
it’s setting a dangerous, unethical precedent. do not cosign this behaviour. do not let people who do this LIE TO YOU and tell you they’re ‘just perceiving’. the only thing they’re perceiving is confirmation bias, and i have seen a lot of the Super Secret cockles stuff. none of it is proof of anything. you don’t know these men. stop pretending you do.
