There have been 2 elriel fics recently that i have started that all of a sudden have another azriel or elain ship added to the romantic tags after several chapters.
Why would a writer do this? Not even a warning that you will be exploring that ship? Just toss it in and hope the readers don’t notice? Thats an immediate “do not finish” unsubscribe for me and i’m sure for many others.
One fic had azris added after like 10 chapters and another one i just noticed updated today has elucien added after 7 chapters. I wouldn’t have even started those fics if they were tagged like that from the beginning.
Am i the only one annoyed by this? Such a waste of time getting really into a fic just to be blindsided with another ship. Tag it from the beginning.

WTF does the Gwynriel fandom even talk about ?😂
Their favs have like what? 4 scenes together!? Az didn’t even start training the ladies till after solstice right? I have several pages of foreshadowing for Elriel from 4 books LOL
The entire ship is just headcanons and fanfic. I don’t get where they got the idea that gwynriels an actual thing that’s happening in the books….that Gwyn is an actual rival to elain? Where did it come from? Did they forget there are next to no scenes for az and gwyn? He literally says he doesn’t even consider her a friend yet in the bc, thats not a good start….they can except its just a crackship and not take it soo seriously. Acotar fandom would be more fun that way.
You look at the very few moments between them then the crazy amount of foreshadowing for elriel and what? Just choose to ignore it and it will go away??
They all know whats coming thats why they are so feral on elriel fanart and posts. It’s embarrassing at this point.
If you disagree with this post just block me and go about your day. I’m not going to argue the validity of some random relationship that makes no sense. Thanks 😊

Can gwynriel people explain to me why Az didn’t care in the slightest about gwyn being taken for the blood rite??? You know that it takes place AFTER their apparent solstice “moment” right?? You know, where hes supposed to have started having these feelings for her…. He seems rather uninterested to me….
Also why do people want gwyn to be a second choice anyways? if Az had his choice he’d have been cuddling in bed with Elain whether you like it or not. I mean hes a little caught up in his feelings for elain atm don’t think he looking for another female immediately after…if he was that would drop my opinion of him to the damn bottom of the list right next to tamlin 😂 😬
Right now i am loving the lightsinger gwyn theory. Nesta and az seemed to be affected by something in relation to her. Interested in where her story goes but i feel like we won’t see that for another book or 2 potentially. Maybe the novella?
