Fwhip wakes up later that afternoon- still pretty out of it, by the looks of things. Jimmy doesn’t stop petting his hair, and can’t help his smile as blue eyes blearily blink open.
“Hey buddy,” Jimmy murmurs in common, willing his healing magic into existence as Fwhip winces. A light blue glow spreads across his fingers and sinks into the count’s hair. He relaxes, if only a little.
“Jim?” he mumbles.
“It’s me,” Jimmy confirms. “Are you feeling any better, bud?”
“Fish,” Fwhip mutters, blinking slow. He is entirely not here, at the moment. He begins murmuring in grimmish and leans into Jimmy’s hand. Jimmy keeps petting him.
He thinks nothing of the murmuring- Fwhip is probably in dizzying amounts of pain, (if anything he should be trying to get the man back to sleep), but then Gem nearly chokes on her tea at one particular string of words and tries to hide laughter behind a lavender handkerchief.
Jimmy raises an eyebrow at her, unable to help his own smile, “what? What did he say?”
She waves him off, dissolving into giggles, “nothing, nothing, sorry.”
Fwhip murmurs again, his hand shifting from the covers and grabbing around until he latches onto Jimmy’s shirt. With that, he murmurs the same string of nonsense from before and falls back asleep.
Jimmy keeps petting him, play upset in his voice, “I can’t help but feel as though I’m being made fun of.”
Gem laughs, “no, quite the opposite actually.”
He looks up. Gem is smiling. “What?”
“He called you “pretty fish, pretty fish” and then fell back asleep.”
Jimmy blinks at her. Then blinks down at Fwhip.
“Oh.”

The Codfather is chewing on his lip again.
Fwhip is trying not to stare. He doesn't think Jimmy's noticed, somehow, despite the little trickle of his odd blue-green blood beading on his lip and smearing on his teeth. Though honestly Fwhip probably wouldn't have noticed it either, if it didn't smell so sweet.
His eyes linger for a moment to long. He watches it build up and up until that tiny bead becomes too big and falls.
Fwhip slips off his glove and wipes away the bead with his thumb. Then, as if it were frosting from a cake, or a dollop of cream, puts it in his mouth.
Jimmy stiffens.
Fwhip blinks. Then blinks up at Jimmy, meeting widened browned eyes as they both realize what he's just done.
"Uh," Jimmy says.
"Uh," Fwhip plasters on his most winning smile and waves, hoping Jimmy doesn't notice his blush as heat explodes across his face, "it was nice seeing you, Jimmy! Bye!"
He slips away, nearly running. Now is an awful time to have the inability to turn into a bat.

somethign something. gobland underground hot springs. first time jimmy ever had a truly hot bath. the first time someone else had ever washed him. when he talks about it he says what he misses most is how he felt like his hair was truly free of grit for the first time in a long time. he doesn't say anything else. he does not think of hands in his hair

Oh, so much!! I ship them so much!!
Double life definitely started this one!
They're both so kind and supportive with each other. Something about that team up was just a perfect combo and I've been hooked ever since.
The unpopular opinion part is always the hardest for me. I think mine would have to be Jimmy and Tango both being incredibly possessive, for all that they're very comfortable in their relationship and have very little jealousy, if any. They still both like to stake their claim. Be it through leather jackets, feathers, etc.

I cannot emphasize this enough: YES
I mean, something about them constantly being on each other's minds, the obsession with each other, all of it. "I'm your forever problem" and many, many other instances of them just being bonkers over one another in the best way.
The push and pull. The "I can't exist in a world without you but by god, I'm going to make it your problem that we're in this one together" vibes. Those two are just: YES. All around. The teasing. The affection. How well they know each other: I could go on.
Hm... unpopular opinion... depending on setting, this changes, but in general: Fwhip has learned how to always put his best, most impressive, foot forward. And the one time that he actually wants to impress someone (Jimmy) and make him like Fwhip, he shoves his foot in his mouth. Bad. But hey, any attention is worth it. And so he keeps doing it. Despite all this, the one person that Fwhip goes to when things really go wrong is Jimmy. Because no matter how much they fight, they know that they'd never truly hurt each other.

Shipping ask game: Jimmy/Joel?
Very much so!
What made me ship it is a hard question, since it's basically everything about those two. They literally shove the ship in everyone's faces on the daily!
My favorite thing about them is certainly how sweet they get with each other. But at the same time, they bicker and fight and still care so much. I love them.
Unpopular opinion... Hm... These two are so poly, so so poly. They love each other to bits but they also both love a lot of people and would probably drive each other bonkers if they tried monogamy together.

I do ship it! Season 7 and the Mayoral Race was really what kicked it off for me, tbh.
My favorite thing is truly just how much they feed into each other in such a goofy way. They're both enablers and I love it.
Hm... an unpopular opinion? I'd say something about Kingmaker Bdubs and his ability to bestow power on people. But at the end of the day, Bdubs was the one pulling the strings, he's the one with power in this relationship. And that's the way both Bdubs and Scar like it. Not sure if that's unpopular, but it's an opinion?
