Mike Wheeler is a cat lover. He definitely feeds the strays and he does have a favourite neighbourhood cat... sometimes he'll sneak them into the basement. Let's be honest he loves the cuddles.
He has stupid little nicknames for all of them (floppy, stinky, gurt, ect...). Some of them are probably named after his interests too (Frodo, Orcus, Chewie, ect..).
I'm convinced that he's been trying to convince his parents to get a cat since he was young.

Sometimes I get tired of the constant woobifaction of Will. He’s not just some sad gay boy. Like the kid loves punk music, he’s a mega nerd, he’s bitchy, he was fully prepared to use a gun on whatever was chasing him in the first episode, he stood up to and screamed at some giant fucking shadow monster
He’s not a baby and I feel like people take the “sensitive” aspect of him too far and forget the rest. Yes he cries, which is a good thing, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t strong as fuck

Cut to Mike hysterically sobbing, brought to his knees, as Vecna rips him out of the closet and exposes his weakness to the viewer, making him see exactly what he’s done wrong. (I probably shouldn’t be enjoying this idea so much, as a Mike fan)
The song ends, he’s saved, he falls to the ground and collapses into Will’s arms, weeping. No more running.
