something about jean dying in all the other drafts really gets me like wdym no one would ever have known how soft and caring he was underneath it all or how he had a sister or how he put away the leftovers without asking and cared enough to ask about the safety of someone he barely knew and how he was desperate to love and be loved all along. ofcourse kevin and renee and neil wouldn't have forgotten him but they did not know all the pieces of who he was and what he survived and what he was trying to be, in his heart of hearts. jeremy will know, eventually. but what if he never did? what if no one ever ended up truly knowing him and loving him and saving him? would they piece the deepest parts of his heart by the postcards and magnets and memories of a too soft boy in a too cruel world?

i keep thinking about jean’s POV of riko going to hit neil.

in aftg, neil is so focused on riko coming down with his racket to hit him that it seems like andrew comes out of no where to save him but i love that jean sees it. and it’s not like he just moves out of goal or anything, no, he HAULS ASS to get to neil to save him. that to me says everything. i love them so bad

the 118 a shift must be like a harbinger of doom for every other first responder in la. like… imagine you’re a firefighter, dealing with a normal building fire or whatever. and then someone informs you that dispatch is sending the 118 to help you out. now your standard building fire is about to become something far worse, because something batshit and horrendous and traumatic is about to happen in front of you, now that those five chucklefucks are on their way. everyone else in la must start panicking whenever they see the 118 truck coming. it is always Something with those people. and somehow they always come out alive. but there’s no guarantee for anyone else
