He promised her that he was going to make time for her but, just like last weekend, he was a no show. Embarrassed for the final time, Hailey walked out of the house in her dress and heels and drove herself to the party. Hailey had always loved to dance, it was in her blood. Her mom was a philopean dancer growing up. The party was crowded with drunk adults, no one seemed sober. Hailey grabbed herself a drink from the open bar and began feeling loose. A hand touched the small of her back causing her to think of Bruno. He hasn't touched her in so long, the feeling had become foreign. "Take it easy baby girl, might get a little too drunk." A cheeky voice told her. She turned around and starred at the man. He had a sharp jaw line with golden eyes and blonde hair. He looked completely opposite of Bruno. Maybe that's what I need, she told herself. She smiled cheeky at the man, hoping to give him a signal that she wants to chat. "Why are your here alone?" He asked. "Your man has to be stupid to let you come here a lone." He had no clue. "What's your name?" Hailey asked taking one more shot of vodka. "Tyler." He told her smiling. "Nice to meet you Tyler, I'm Hailey." She shook his offered hand, and smiled. Tyler was thinking of nothing but how beautiful the girl was. Short, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was maybe just what he was looking for. "You want to dance?" Tyler asked Hailey. She took hold of his hand as he led her off to the dance floor. ««»» Bruno knew he was forgetting something as he took another shot of tequila. He was with his friends at a party, but his mind was somewhere else. "Woah, isn't that Hailey?" Phil had asked out loud. Bruno's attention automatically got snapped to Phil at the mention of Hailey. "What are you talking about?" Bruno asked Phil. Phil pointed to the dance floor where Hailey and Tyler had been dancing for hours. Hailey had her head on his chest, while Tyler had his hands on her waist. Bruno knew Hailey loved to dance, he just never thought it mattered to her. "I lost her." Bruno whispered to himself before getting up from the bar stool and purposely brushing his arm against hers. Bruno could feel the heat of Hailey's eyes as she stared after him. ««»» It's been weeks and Bruno hasn't been able to say one sentence to Hailey ever since she met Tyler. It killed him inside to see Hailey getting flowers delivered to their doorsteps. Hailey went dancing with Tyler every weekend, she was about to start packing things to officially leave Bruno. Bruno knew Hailey would leave him due to his lack of being there but, he never imagined seeing her with someone else. "Hailey, wait!" Bruno yelled running out of the house. Hailey was just about to get into Tyler's car. Hailey knew she couldn't go back to Bruno, she deserves much better than what she was getting from him, but the feelings were still there. Hailey still loved Bruno. "Yes Bruno?" She asked shutting the car door. "I miss you." Bruno told her cupping her face in his hands. "I love you. I know I don't act like it but you're the best thing that ever happened to me. It hurts to see you dancing with him, to see him giving you flowers, holding your hand." Bruno's words almost brought tears to Hailey's eyes but, she stayed strong. Everybody warned Hailey about Bruno's ways but she denied it. "I can't be in a relationship when I'm the only one making a effort. Bye Bruno." Hailey turned and got in Tyler's car. It killed both of them to leave each other. Hailey never wanted to leave Bruno but, its what's best for her right now. Bruno never wanted to see Hailey leave but he knew he never treated her right. She needs better and if better is Tyler then so be it.
