Recently there has been a switch in the public perception of environmentalism, from recycling to sustainability. This has been represented by three symbols of sustainability; hydro, solar and recycling in the form of finger prints, which send a gentle and humane message.

Keeping the essence of graffiti was my main objective in this exhibition book, and has turned out to be the most difficult. How do you create an exhibition for works that don’t belong in an museum. These are the questions that must be asked when dealing with an artist like Shepard Fariy, a.k.a Obey. Shepard Fariey may have distanced him self from the street art community of late and moved towards fine art, though his street art is what gained him critical acclaim and I’m my opinion, is much more interesting. The phenomena, “Andre the Giant Has a Posse” had mastered the art of low-tech street communication, revealing the banality behind branding and image culture.

Apopalypse | Flavoured Popcorn

Popcorn and Zombies are two classic notions associated with entertainment. These two concepts could be recognised as polar opposites, the decaying corps of the living dead compared to the energetic joyful nature of popcorn. The contrast of these two ideas gives this product a unique fell the is probably necessary for a boutique product such as flavoured popcorn. Ignoring the fact that a cluster of popcorn is strikingly similar to the brain, parallels can also be drawn between zombie movies and veging out on the couch zombified. Essentially what this product is trying to capture is the typical scene where the audience throws the popcorn in the air during a scary movie, that thrill and excitement.

WWF iPad app - Infographic and interface project, and I chose the Kimberleys. The main objectives of the app are to raise awareness for the Kimberleys and Land care techniques. The app has interesting aspects that concentrate on aboriginal land care technique, plus theres an interactive aspect of the app which involves hiking maps.
