The moment when Rhys orders Azriel to distance himself from Elain because he is very protective is already a signal of a friendship like Feyre has with Cassian and Nestha has with Azriel. And everyone knows that Elain can do future missions by Rhys orders too.
Why tf people are saying that Gwyn is going to be besties with Rhys when the story points to Elain with neon signals??? They just don't get tired of stealing Elain's story and twist all the plot of ACOTAR books to fit a damn side character.
I'm already predicting the moment when they will start saying that Nuala and Cerridwen will become besties with Gwyn too.
In what world would Rhys become besties with Gwyn 😭😭???
Feyre & Cassian are besties.
Nesta & Azriel are besties.
And yet, these people believe the Bat Boy x Archeron Sis pattern will be broken with Rhys and he'll suddenly become besties with Gwyn?? Not Elain, the Archeron sister who literally lives in his home, cooks for his family, cares for his son?
Make it make sense. Gwynriel is already a stretch but the Gwyn & Rhys friendship is straight up fabrication at this point.

He's the HL, he's not out here training the priestesses with Cassian. He's busy doing paperwork, keeping the peace, or whatever keeps him so booked 🤷🏻♀️
Gwyn lives in the library. A place Rhys literally would never even be allowed to hang out in. Nor would that be his first choice either?
They've maybe interacted ONCE, total. How would they suddenly become best friends? What would they bond over? What do they have in common? And I swear to god - if someone says SA, I'm going to lose it. They're not just going to sit around discussing their past traumas? What the fuck?
It is absolutely delusional to think Rhys even knows who she is. In the grand scheme of things, Gwyn is literally not an important person. She doesn't even have any great powers that would make Rhys want to send her on a mission or something.
I'm so sick of antis stealing Elain's entire life and giving it to Gwyn. All because they don't like her?? If Gwyn is truly someone's favorite character, why are ALL their theories and HCs stolen from Elain?

I know people are already discrediting Sarah's instagram post today, which is perfectly fine. Of course an author should be able to post about a new album they are enjoying and have that be it. And people are welcome to interpret this however they wish. Confirmation bias is a real thing, and none of us are above it.
For example, I myself am a writer. I spend a lot of time curating playlists that remind me of my characters and help me get in their headspace. I truly believe a lot of writers connect deeply to music and lyrics and poetry that hit dip on themes they explore. So this confirms my bias that Sarah is extremely excited about an amazing song that just dropped by a massive artist that reminds her of her work. That is truly one of the best feelings in the world.

Sarah does have a book announcement coming soon. One of the biggest stars in the world and one of her favorite artists released a song that has an uncanny amount of similar themes to a couple that every major news outlet covering the topic in the past months have suggested is "suspected or likely to be next" and Sarah was genuinely so excited about that song (out of 31 tracks) and said "Thank you for this GIFT."
Just a few weeks ago SJM made a big post about Spring. It was full of flowers, blushes and pinks, and BAKING! All of those things scream Elain, however there was a huge surge of "Sarah is so intentional, she does everything for a reason. There is no way this isn't confirming Lucien or Tamlin endgame." Those same people are now saying that this very pointed instagram post is meaningless and let the woman just post fun stuff that she likes. Sarah also loves flowers and baking in her real life, so that also *could* have just been things Sarah loves and just general ACOTAR buzz since there are new readers every day and the series starts in the Spring Court.
Another important major thing to note is that Sarah frequently states she does not have social media on her phone, she stays out of theory spaces, and she likely does not run her own socials. Most, if not all of her posts are directly related to her books and generating buzz. Her last feed post was about writing the ACOTAR book, and now a song came out that is potentially a perfect fit. This all falls within marketing and generating buzz and conversation. Sarah likely didn't just download instagram to her personal phone, which she avoids like the plague, just to post this one song and then delete it again. It is more likely it fits in with marketing themes.
The truth is, we, as the consumer, do not get to decide the intentions behind a public persona's social media behavior. But when it comes to Sarah's last two instagram stories, it's either both or neither. Either Sarah's flower and baking filled springtime post meant something AND this means something, or neither meant anything.
Sarah is aware everything she does gets dissected. I'm not making a definitive statement whether or not she leans into that, since she hasn't made an outright statement like the queen of easter eggs herself Taylor Swift has.
But there is only one character relevant to both of her instagram stories: Elain Archeron.
Flowers. Baking. Forbidden love.
We don't have to change up the rules or remove anything from the equation to show all signs point to Elain.

The only rejection I saw was with Azriel “this was a mistake” Shadowsinger.
I would say her returning the necklace is also a rejection?? Seems pretty clear??? Just me??

I see him coming home every day and being welcomed by Elain's warmth, calmness, sweet flowery scent and light. The shadows disappearing completely. Taking their baby in his arms, touching reverently with his scarred hands, and a small hand covering his mouth, making him smile and Elain laugh.

Just a thought. What if Azriel doesn't want anyone to 'handle his darkness'? What if he wants to come home, and have dinner with his girl, and be as far removed from the reality of swords and fights and spying and training, as possible.
What if he wants Light? What if the conversations about flowers and gardens, about baking, and strolling through the streets of Velaris and finding a great cup of hot chocolate are exactly what he adores?
What if it's about reading books and talking about them, and flying into the mountains to watch the sunset? What if it's about watching his girl with a smudge of flour on her cheek? What if it's about soft dresses of cotton and linen and velvet and not Illyrian leathers? What if it's about delicate collarbones, and luminous brown eyes and pretty necklaces and a gold ring on the finger?
What if it's the rituals of homelife for him and not about someone 'handling his darkness'? What if it's coffee and the paper in the morning, and family dinners, and celebrating all the holidays and teaching his girl about the customs and the tidings of her new life? What if it's about soft pillows and a freshly laundered blanket and a cold night? A bird's song that wakes him up in the morning? A tender kiss on his temple? What if it's about dancing until the wee hours of the morning? Going to concerts and listening to songs while star gazing?
What if it's holding hands, brushing fingers, exchanging glances, smiles and soft kisses no matter how much time's passed?
What if Azriel doesn't need a Valkyrie, a shieldmaiden, and someone who saw him at his worst? What if he wants exactly the opposite? Someone who'll give him light and love, and would handle his in return?
What if this is what Azriel wants?

I’m sorry, but it baffles me so much that the ACOTAR fandom does not want an Elriel story. It’s set up to be angsty (because of Elain’s un unwanted mating bond), a slow burn (because these two will keep dancing around each other), to have A LOT of tension (charged glances, brushing fingers yk the drill), and we’ll find out how a mate bond can be rejected, how anyone is free to choose their own fate, how just because a character is soft it doesn’t mean they can’t handle darkness, and we’ll get to see the healing journey of two SIMILAR (yes, similar, and i said what i said) characters. I’m so sorry for you if you don’t want that, but I’m going eat it tf upppp

I just saw a TikTok of someone saying that Elain is delusional for thinking that she can grow flowers on the Night Court , meanwhile Elain's gardens in the NC are mentioned since ACOFAS . Some people really need to read the books . It stated that the Solar courts aren't like the seasonal courts where it's in one state all the time . So she CAN garden in the NC , she can't do that in the Spring Court . It's also exactly the reason why while Elain would love to VISIT the Spring court she would HATE to live there .
She's not leaving the Night Court ever , not even to move to the Dusk Court . She'll likely revive it but won't be leaving her sisters to stay there . For a garderner in Prythian there are only 3 ideal Courts to live in: Day , Dawn and Night .
For Elain, Night suits her the most . She has both safety and joy in the NC . It wouldn't make any sense for Elain to live in Dawn (or Dusk when it's revived ) because there's no one there and she would be leaving her family and the only way she'd live if Day would be if she ends up with Lucien which I just don't see happening.

I think it would take a while for Azriel's children to see his shadows. He would always feel the safest and happiest with his babies. The same happens when Elain is present. The first time the little ones would probably see his shadows would be when their daddy is in protective mode.
