Hey remember my Pokemon OC, the singer Zora?
Here’s a promo she did for her first big-budget music video, featuring Grimsley and Brycen making guest appearances as a phantom thief and the captain of the guard.
This took over a month to do, and I hand-drew the shingles and bricks on the castle which was a feat in itself.

More Star Fox arena stuff inbound! This time it’s the Star Wolf team! The team is hired by Camilla Valentia to investigate the mysterious abandoned space colony Fortinbras, now joined by their newest (and youngest) member Quetzal Cortez.
Panther I actually had to draw twice because his first outfit (which you can see in previous SFArena posts) just…wasn’t good enough for him. I had to dig deeper. And lower his neckline, apparently.
Fun fact: Quetzal is the only character in the roster who is left-handed.

I’ve gradually become more and more comfortable with sharing OC x Canon content. So here’s my latest—meet Zora, who is shipped with Grimsley. Her full story is still a work in progress, but…
Here’s the info so far:
Zora grew up on a farm in a rural part of Unova—the kind of place where it’s just corn or cows for miles. But she was a sweet girl who worked hard, and one of her favorite things to do to relax was to go out and sing in the fields on summer nights. She always loved singing.
One day, she decided she was going to head out on her own, and for a few years she did fine, working odd jobs, getting by, eventually landing a job as a performer in a casino, stepping up from her previous position there as just a server.
And it’s then that she met Grimsley. The dark-type master of the Elite Four was having a losing streak at the casino, when he heard her sing for the first time, and suddenly, it felt like that losing streak didn’t matter at all. He decided he was *going* to get her name, if not a date with her. Luckily for him, she agreed to a date. Long story short, they got married about a year and a half later. It was Grimsley who pushed her to take more chances and try to make a name for herself as a singer. While she’s not as big a risk-taker as him, she did take his advice to heart.
Zora is a performer through and through. While offstage she is gentle, understated and shy, once she gets dressed up and heads onstage she is vivacious, outgoing and confident. All of her costumes and wigs are made by her, as she finds making them to be fun and therapeutic.
Her three main pokemon are Audino (who dances with her), Chatot (who sometimes sings backup) and a Mandibuzz that she caught back when it was just a Vullaby.
While Zora and Grimsley have a very affectionate relationship, they have not been without their struggles. Grimsley’s habitual gambling, and the stress that comes with it, can wear on Zora’s nerves, as she often has to comfort him if he sinks into a slump over repeated losses. Meanwhile, Grimsley finds that Zora can be a bit of a doormat, and worries that if he’s not around people will walk all over her. During the events of Pokemon Sun/Moon, Grimsley and Zora were on a break, when Zora realized she had to put herself first when Grimsley continued to spiral and refused to accept help. Fortunately, they were able to come back together and have begun working through their struggles.
He calls her affectionate names like Zor/Zorrie, and “superstar” is another favorite of his.
Zora is still relatively unknown outside of Unova, but thanks to social media she’s getting a bit more of a following. She’s been doing most of her own promotional work as she didn’t want to achieve her big break through Grimsley’s connections (though he may have pulled a string or two to get people to listen to her when they might not have)
People have asked her why she dresses up and puts on elaborate getups to perform, and she usually says it’s because it’s fun and it’s part of the experience. Though it’s also because she feels more shy without her “persona” on.
