Who are you? Where do you find your self-worth? 🤷‍♂️ As humans we tend to lean inward…to define ourselves by life experience, good or bad, and make our career a huge part of our identity. But…what happens if that goes away? How do you stand boldly, ready to face life’s challenges? Case in point…my career ended early this September, mainly due to being bold and standing up for my rights. Thankfully, my identity is rooted outside of my career, outside of my own experience, outside of myself and accomplishments. I can face tomorrow with full courage and optimism due to a relationship with the Lord. Don’t make your identity about you, your career, the trauma you may have suffered, or what people may have said to manipulate you. Any identity based on that is fake and unhealthy. Rather, seek a higher purpose, one outside of yourself, and life’s challenges will be put in their place.
