The Clash - “Police And Thieves” - Live in Munich, 1977 "Police and Thieves" is a reggae song about gang war and police brutality, first recorded by the Jamican singer Junior Murvin in 1976. It was covered by the Clash and included on their debut album released in 1977. Murvin's first comment was "They have destroyed Jah work!".  Bob Marley was inspired to write his song “Punky Reggae Party” after hearing the Clash's version - his reaction was "It is different, but me like how him feel it."

Missing Persons - “Walking In L.A.” - (live at the US Festival in California in 1983)    Missing Persons is an American rock band founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, drummer Terry Bozzio and vocalist Dale Bozzio, who is widely acknowledged as the inspiration for later female singers such as Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani. Dale's quirky voice, colorful hair and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the 1980s.  

Blondie - “Rip Her to Shreds” - (Live in 1977 at the Whiskey a Go Go)    "Rip Her To Shreds" was Blondie's first UK single, released in late 1977 and taken from their debut album entitled “Blondie”.

In a BBC Radio documentary about Blondie, singer Debbie Harry said "Rip Her to Shreds" is about how gossip columns can damage people's lives.

Cher & Tina Turner - “Shame, Shame, Shame” - (Live on The Cher Show, 1975) It doesn't get any more 70's than this folks. They even manage to do “the Bump” for a little bit.

Cher & Tom Jones - “The Beat Goes On” - (Live on the “This Is Tom Jones” TV show, 1969)   Cher & Tom Jones performing the Sonny & Cher hit single “The Beat Goes On” on the TV show “This Is Tom Jones” in 1969.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Subterranean Homesick Blues” - (Live in 2000)  Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Their music incorporates elements of alternative rock, funk, punk rock and psychedelic rock. The band comprises vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante.  "Subterranean Homesick Blues" is a song by Bob Dylan released as a single in 1965. It was the lead track on the album Bringing It All Back Home, released some two weeks later and Dylan's first Top 40 hit in the United States. 

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - “American Girl” - (Live Aid 1985) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers play in front of 100,000 people at Live Aid at John F. Kennedy Stadium, Philadelphia USA on July 13, 1985. The event was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the famine disaster in Ethiopia.  Tom shows frustration (gives the soundman the middle finger) at 1:11 and raises his arms in frustration at 2:12 due to most of the microphones for the backing vocals being dead, but still delivers a great performance.

Oasis - “Live Forever” - (live in Maine Road, Manchester in 1996)   Oasis was an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The band in 1996 consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals, tambourine), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar), and Alan White (drums) and Liam's older brother, Noel Gallagher (lead guitar, vocals).  "Live Forever" was released on 8 August 1994 as the band's third single, a month before the release of their debut album Definitely Maybe. It became Oasis' first top-ten hit.  

The Clash - “(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais” - (Live in Tokyo, 1982)  In late January and early February 1982, the Clash played eight shows in Japan. The shows were the start of a month-long tour of the Far East that would be the last tour with their classic lineup of Joe Strummer – lead vocals, guitar, Mick Jones – lead guitar, vocals, Paul Simonon – bass guitar and Topper Headon – drums .

AC/DC - “Problem Child” - (Live in 1977) AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, but the band themselves describe it as simply "rock and roll".
