Just because you delete your posts doesn’t mean it didn’t happen? You showed your true colors and your Twitter posts show it too. What you did wasn’t Trek, Star Trek is about acceptance and not being disrespectful to others and doesn’t take sides or make everything about themselves.
And I believe Manu should be banned from Gays in Space as he gives a bad name to the LGBTQ community.

a. fic contests and voting have been around since the dawn of fandom. Nothing new here. Anyone remember the ASC Awards back in the day?
b. Funny to talk about elite and exclusionary when a discord server is run that censors topics. Lots of good folks have left the fandom because of this server.
c. while I’m sure all the folks on Twitter are nice people individually, collectively they obnoxiously and obsessively tag writers, producers and actors to the point of bullying them trying to get their way. Such a turn off.
every time I think about opening a wip to poke at it a little I remember that the fandom now has a monthly contest where every new thing gets voted on to decide whether it's good or not and then I just.

It is pretty well knows that Beltran is pretty blunt and sarcastic. It’s readily apparent he has no love for Trek and he’s definitely not as concerned about his image as Kate Mulgrew is.
But some of the stuff he’s posting is just plain hateful. Isn’t the internet supposed to be for bringing people together and exchanging thoughts and ideas? Trek fans are some of the most intelligent around. If he’d listen, he probably could have very interesting conversations. But no, he’s not interested in hearing anyone’s point of view. Seems like all he uses his Twitter for is to keep in touch with the pathetic harem of women who want to sleep with him.
Anyone have any idea what’s going on with Beltran? Cause… he’s doing a lot of damage to himself with his tweets the past few days. 👀
