To most animal nonhumans, I highly recommend this PC game called The Wilds! It’s still in Early Access so it’s a bit funky at times, but it’s very good. $5 on Steam or you can torrent it. It’s an indie game developed by one man only, so I highly recommend supporting it.

It’s an animal simulator, and you can play as a grey wolf, grizzly bear, wild boar, mountain lion, red fox, raven, bald eagle, moose, red deer, or raccoon.

You hunt, find a mate, make a den, have pups, there’s unlockable skills, abilities, your animal has its own traits, and you can even customise the looks (e.g. different subspecies of wolves, different subspecies and coat colours of foxes), and a lot more since I’ve only briefly played it so far (personally I love playing as a fox since there’s already WolfQuest for wolves). All the screenshots are from the game page itself :)

therian tip? kinda? if possible, learning to move your ears is SO nice if you can do it i learned to do it when i was like 14

and yeah. it slaps

unsure how you teach yourself? youre not actually moving the ears themselves, its basically your whole scalp! i just sorta practiced moving above my eyebrows, which i dont know how i learned to do. but yeah my human ears actually instinctively move like animal ones

well ive always been beary (excuse my pun!) drawn to bears, never were my "favourite animal" as a kid but id always run around and pretend to be one, i live on one of the only continents (other being a literal wasteland) without ANY bears so i never really realised how much euphoria seeing them gave me.

eventually i realised that like constantly having bear ears isnt a normal quirky kid thing though :skull: not much thought went into it for me i just sorta Was a bear,, we can talk more on discord its me tomfoolery your mutual this is just my therian blog

feeling really negative :// trigger warning, im gonna be talking very negatively about coyotes. if that upsets you then scroll

i hate coyotes. i hATE THEM HATE THEM HATE THEM in a past life ive had vivid visions and nightmares and ive seen them. ive seen them kill my cubs. over and over and over and over again.

i dont know why they did it. food was plentiful, they didnt even kill them straightaway. It was just a pair of them. I'd never seen more than one coyote in one place before. i didnt know what to do. I dont know every detail, I just know that they killed my babies.

they killed two of my cubs and i will never forgive them. seeing a coyote even in this life makes me anxious, i never knew why i didnt like them. not until i explored my alterhumanity

i see a picture of a coyote and my ears flatten, my fur bristles. I want to bear my teeth and tear them apart i want to see them bleed. I want to feel their flesh rip between my fangs and i want to feel them die. i want to feel them stop breathing and i want to be happy. I want to leave their corpses to rot, guarding them so no scavenger dare put them to any kind of use.
