Indeed, although partially! My art style was inspired by various other artists and media too, although some of the most significant ones would be yes, Jhonen Vasquez’s work, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and a teeny pinch of Eddsworld. Hmm, maybe even a bit of the 2000’s emo art style…

(Heh, don’t worry. I think I take it as a compliment…)

I can’t restrain myself from talking about this for any longer.

HUMANOID CHARACTERS WITH THIS-

PEAK. CHARACTER. DESIGN. I will most likely develop an obsession with a character if they have this. I’ve heard it being called a mandibular rictus or buccal flap.

If my research is right, It’s a soft sheet of tissue that covers the adductor muscles (which close the jaw). You know, this:

You’ve probably seen it in many dinosaur depictions, or on numerous modern reptiles like alligators or monitor lizards. Dragons, wyverns, drakes etc. as well.

I CAN’T STOP ADDING IT TO MY CHARACTERS IT’S JUST TOO GLORIOUS.
