'Uprooted' Taken June 2020 So before simply continuing to post artwork like nothings happened. I feel as though I should address the 2 year gap in my social media presence. As I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone it's been a difficult few years for everyone on this earth. So I won't bore you with details. But essentially from beginning of lockdown as soon as restrictions allowed I took photos non stop, it was my means of distracting myself from all that was going out. Being out exploring gave me a sense of peace like nothing else. Taking every opportunity to get out of the house, with the abition of putting together a portfolio of my best images that I would be proud to share. I believe that I succeeded in doing this. But in the process began to pressure myself too much to maintain a certain standard, loosing touch with why it is I take photos and explore. I eventually burned out and made the decision to give myself a break from photography. That was April 2021. It wasn't until October 2021 that I really started taking photos again. So now after having build the habit back up over the past few months I finally feel like I can call myself a photographer again.
