I made a little game for myself of trying to memorize the list of the patreon supporters at the end of each Dice Shame episode, and every time they get a new name added to the list I'm like yayyy they got a new supporter but at the same time it's like damn I almost had it and now it changed again

I’m panromantic asexual. I feel romantic attraction. I don’t feel sexual attraction. I just want to be seen
I found a comic that makes me feel seen tho! I found it on Webtoon. Idk if it’s on any other sites (even Tumblr lol) but the protagonist is panromantic asexual and I find their experience very relatable
They’re also genderfluid and tho I can’t relate to that specifically it’s still pretty nice representation
So if you are also asexual but also some form of alloromantic, give it a read :3

Once again, I'm waaaay behind cuz uni sucks. But now I'm FREE and I will BINGE every single chapter I have missed and I will RANT about them.
So, for starters.
IT.
Ngl it did sting a little to have our first Big Bad called an IT. But oh boi IT was well deserved. Pardon the pun.
I gotta say, Crowley is quite intriguing. Beautiful, cocky villain? "Ex paladin. Oathbreaker. I'm here for profit." Count me the hell in. I had a hard time avoiding being swayed like Kendrenal my pal lol.
Honestly tho, upperclassmen? Just what kind of Big Bad aasimar school were they going to?? I kiiiinda hope it plays a bigger role just to uncover a bit more about these two villains, maybe a bit of an evil system, idk. Alternatively, it'd be so fun if the Final Boss was the principal or sth lol.
Anyways, I smell more dramatic encounters, and I hope we get to see more of that pretty oathbreaker and maybe even a dejected Calipher?
The plot thickens.
Sooooo looking forward to it!
The Adventures of Garl and Odra Manyboots- The Black Knight is Defeated, Long Live the Oathbreaker
Tumblr media
Prev.
“Tell me again how you all got beaten by a goblin. And this time, say it in a way that makes me not want to beat you all to death.”
Kendrenal stared at the ground. Not like he was afraid of Calipher or anything. No, of course not. It was easier to observe the tone of its voice when he didn’t have to look in its eyes.
Calipher was angry. No, enraged. It was still limping, apparently the injury the weak goblin had given it was worse than it had initially let on. Worse than a single healing potion could fix. Right now, there was no answers that could pacify it.
“WHAT DID YOU CALL ME, KENDRENAL!?”

I know Earheart switching with Sassraa was relevant to the plot but... hear me out...
It would've been SO funny if they had both been their original sassy selves and Earhart had switched with Wilde.
Pure chaos. Would've been fun.

The Adventures of Garl and Odra Manyboots- The Showdown with the Black Knight
Tumblr media
Prev.
“Calipha. So this is where you’ve ended up. How have you been?”
Calipha clenched her jaw as she lifted her mace in front of her, staring down the smarmy bastard of an aasimar smirking at her.
“Calipher. I’ve been worse. Now leave.”
“No welcome for your brother?” Calipher tutted his tongue. “Shame. Not even inviting me in for tea and-”
Calipha didn’t even look, she slammed her mace into the face of the raider trying to sneak up on her right. The man dropped to the ground with a scream, clutching onto his broken nose. Calipher cackled and tossed his head back.
“Very well then. Least you’ve learned a thing or two since we’ve last seen each other.”

I am terribly behind in this story because uni sucks but OMG WHAT A POINT TO COME BACK TO.
I usually keep my comments in the tags but this chapter has touched one of my favorite topics ever and my thoughts just won't fit in only tags.
Ok. So. Villain origin stories.
Honestly I tend to be a bit of a skeptic when it comes to origin stories because it's so difficult to create a truly despicable villain without falling in clichés? Like yeah, we all know that one who was evil from birth and feared by everyone. Or the one who had a rough childhood that explains their actions. Or the one who was good until the world wronged them and now wants revenge. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on those tropes. But they're common, they're cliché, and- honestly? After two or three similar stories, they're boring (just my opinion lol).
That's why this chapter struck me as specially interesting. We get a villain origin story, yes. Pure evil, animal torturer (hate those), murderous tendencies towards their own family members. Ok, I've seen those before. But. BUT. This character had the potential to be a hero. Like one of those blessed protagonists the town loves, those who could've had it all. That's what I liked so much about this origin story.
What if the blessed one was evil? The Black Knight was the jewel of the village, the Star among the commoners, the chosen one. His upbringing didn't seem particularly bad, yet he turned out to be rotten. And there were signs! It wasn't a cheap revelation like "without any precedent whatsoever, turns out I was the bad guy all along!" Type of plot twist. Everyone saw the signs, but the villagers and his own family did not want to believe it. That's what I loved so much about this chapter.
The collective blindness, the excuses, the shared secret. Everyone knew, but no one wanted to believe it. Blessed in ignorance, just as blessed as their jewel was. Only the paladin saw the truth, but they didn't do anything about it either (kind of a jerk move ngl but to each their own lol).
And the perspective, omg. I loved how the story was told from the pov of the normal sister, the one who didnt receive a blessing and who wasn't even mentioned in the story she herself was telling until it was absolutely necessary. The idea of this child having to endure everything the Black Knight put their village through but not being able to do anything, either due to the power difference or to whatever remained for fraternal love is so bittersweet I wouldn't like to read this story from any other character's pov.
And gosh, the pace. Somehow one single chapter was enough to perfectly lay out the personality of both the Black Knight and Calipha, tell their whole story, keep the plot moving, and give us some golden moments from other characters (furious Garl, worried Sylvia, the villagers, kinky Dullahan lol). It had enough backstory for it to be like an info dump, but the flow of events was so natural it doesn't seem like it.
Gosh, how I missed this story. Maybe I read too much into it but Idc, thinking about these characters and this world makes me happy. It's good to be back.
The Adventures of Garl and Odra Manyboots- The Origin of the Black Knight
Tumblr media
“Garl, are you going to keep chewing on these guys until-”
“Get in my way, I’m chewing on you too, Dullahan.”
“… Well, I didn’t know I was your type… but before we begin, my safe word’s apple bread.”
Garl growled as he turned towards Dullahan, ready to rip the idiot limb from limb, but before he could Sylvia stepped between her father figure and the irate gargoyle. “That’s enough- from both of you,” she glowered at both of the men. “Odra’s not here. We’ve combed through the whole town but the only people here are dead humans. But Ficas thinks he’s picked up her trail, she tore out of west gate like a bat out of hell, but she did it under her own power. The half orc was telling the truth.”
“Good, then we can kill him now,” Garl tried to step past Sylvia but she snagged him by his shirt.
“Sahsi literally just put him back together.”
“He’s probably the one who shot her!”
“Doesn’t matter. Aunva’s on her side for this one, the half orc gets to keep breathing. For now.”
Garl growled and Sylvia responded by slapping him. It definitely hurt her more than him, judging by how she immediately shook her hand out afterwards, but it was enough to get Garl to pause.
Right. The half orc might have some more information. Once he found Odra, he’d join his friends in hell.
Garl hurried off, Sylvia watching him go before turning to Dullahan. “What’s his problem?” she asked, crossing her arms.
“Turns out he’s not completely stonehearted. Just hope he keeps his anger on the black knight and not any of us.”
