ok but you ever think about Chuuya's loyalty towards Dazai?? Because Chuuya's the kind to give such blind loyalty to people (we see that in Fifteen) and I always found it funny how Chuuya's more human out of the two of them despite Dazai being the one who's trying to be a 'good' person and Chuuya having a literal God inside him but bottomline is Chuuya is lead by his loyalty and almost nothing else but his allegiance to the Mafia and it's people, so how deep does his loyalty go with Dazai especially since he trusts him with his life completely after years of not working together.

And not to mention their interaction when Dazai got himself captured, Chuuya could've killed him right there and then without even blinking if he wanted to, to someone like Chuuya loyalty was everything and for Dazai to betray him them, it definitely warrants a violent reaction from him and he did but in comparison to what he could've done, Dazai practically got off with a slap on the wrist.

Chuuya also let him into Mafia files without much question, so how deep does his loyalty toward Dazai go in comparison to his loyalty to Port Mafia?

You actually cannot convince me that neither of them knew what was gonna happen the moment they got here, Chuuya knew he was gonna inevitably release Dazai here the moment he got word of his capture, he even mentioned it himself how "coincidental" it was that Dazai got captured just as he returned from his mission there's also the implication that Dazai keeps tabs of his missions and Chuuya just lets him and Dazai let him get a few hits in because he probably feels a little guilty that this is how they reunite after so long, I mean they have said it time and time again, even other people have acknowledged that they knew each other better than anyone so how could they NOT know that this is what would happen? They know how the other moves, next attack, how their minds work but they somehow let one another have a vantage point one way or another in this confrontation? Nope.

Anime Recommendations!

Hi everyone, I hope y’all are safe and happy! With quarantine still in place (at least in my country), I’m gonna keep the random rec lists coming! I’ve been watching a lotttt of animes and rewatching favourites, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites of all time! A lot of them are pretty mainstream, but for my friends who aren’t really into anime, these will get you hooked! In no particular order, let’s get started!

1. Snow White with the Red Hair, 24 episodes

This is hands down my favourite anime of all time. This shoujo anime make me feel so happy and it’s so wholesome, honestly such a feel good anime. Without spoiling too much, it’s about a herbalist named Shirayuki who ends up having to flee her home country and ends up meeting Prince Zen and goes to live in his country. The cast of characters in the anime is so good, there’s not a character to dislike. The genuine build up of friendship and eventual romance is just so sweet please watch.

2. Demon slayer (26 episodes)

One of the best anime I’ve watched this past year. This anime has amazing plot, awesome animation and a great cast of characters. This anime follows Tanjiro as he becomes a demon slayer after a demon killed his family. Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko were the only survivors but Nezuko was turned in a demon and now Tanjiro is on a journey to change he back into a human. If you are into anime with amazing fight scenes, I highly recommend.

3. Hunter x Hunter (148 episodes)

I am currently watching this anime and it honestly made it onto my lists of favourite anime super quickly. The series starts with Gon and his quest to become a pro hunter and find his dad and goes on from there. With so many episodes and arcs, you can’t stop watching. The characters immediately hooked me on this show, Killua and Gon��s friendship is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen in anime, I literally want to adopt both of them. This anime is so heartwarming but also kinda dark and action packed.

4. Haikyuu!! (73 episodes, on-going)

My favourite sports anime my god. Haikyuu follows a high school volleyball team as they try to make it to nationals. This series made me so much more emotional than I thought it would, but you get so involved with the team and characters and want them to succeed. All of the characters from all of the teams are also fantastic and hilarious. If you need a fun but exciting anime, please please please watch Haikyuu!!

5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes)

Where to even begin. I would say this is one of the most popular anime and for good freaking reason. Without giving too much away, this anime follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they go on a quest to get their bodies back. Honestly this is one of my fav animes, if you like awesome fight scenes and really intriguing plot, you will love this anime.

6. Yona of the Dawn (24 episodes)

Another amazing anime but sadly, unfinished. I think this anime is best to watch w/o knowing very much. Just know that there is really good characters and character development and a very attractive love interest :))))

7. Soul eater (51 episodes)

One of the first animes I ever watched and as I remember it’s hella awesome, if you like halloween then the whole atmosphere of this anime will intrigue you. The fight scenes in this are really fun and so are the characters. If you need a fun medium length anime, I would recommend this one!

8. Inuyasha (193 episodes)

This anime is worth all the hype in my opinion. The plot was great, the characters are fantastic and romance is so freaking cute I can’t. I’m also a sucker for asshole characters who are secretly really sweet.

9. Fruits Basket (2019) (25 episodes (S1), S2 on-going)

This is the cutest anime. The whole cast characters is amazing and you get so attached so fast. The protagonist is so sweet and optimistic and I really just wanna protect her. I went into this knowing next nothing and I think that’s the best way to do it. The 2001 version is good too but 2019 has better animation and is closer to managa (and has more episodes!).

10. My Hero Academia (88 episodes, on-going)

I love this anime with my whole heart. There is an adorable cast of characters and amazing fight scenes, I love this sm. It’s set in a world where like 95% of the population has ‘quirks’ which are basically super powers but not all of them are super powerful. Super heroes protect cities and the anime follows a high school where the students are training to become heroes. The main character is born without a quirk but through some crazy circumstances he ends up acquiring one. In my opinion this anime is worth the hype.

11. Ouran Highschool Host Club (26 episodes)

This one is wild. Ouran Highschool Host club is so iconic and it’s hilarious, I laughed out loud watching this one so much. Honestly I went into this knowing nothing and I think its funnier that way.

12. Yuri!!! On Ice (13 episodes)

THIS ANIME. The first sports anime w/ canon LGBTQ+ romance and its beautiful. I love the style, the skating, the music, the characters, just everything about it. This follows Yuri Katsuki, a professional figure skater from Japan and his skating career. After messing up a major championship, Yuri is lost and doesn’t know what to do w/ his career. After seeing a video of Yuri skate, his idol Victor, a skating legend, shows up to be his coach. Please watch this anime.

13. Attack on Titan (62 episodes, on-going)

If you are looking for a badass action anime this is the one for you. Humanity has fallen to the mercy of giant man-eating titans, and the people that survived live within a walled city to keep the titans out. This anime is a little disturbing and violent but it is so badass. Also Levi, the most badass character ever, makes this entire anime worth watching.

14. Ao Haru Ride (12 episodes)

Hands down my favourite romance anime. This anime is so freaking cute and it gave me so many fuzzy feelings. The animation is also super nice so that is always a plus. It follows Futaba and Kou who liked each other in middle school but were separated. They meet again in high school but they have both changed so much. If you want a romance anime I really recommend this one.

15. Naruto (720 episodes)

This is a freaking classic and really long. Almost everyone and their mother has heard of this anime or watched some of it before. Basically it’s about ninjas and follows mainly Naruto Uzumaki who want to eventually be the leader of his village but his ninja skills need a lot of work. I honestly didn’t think I would love this anime as much as I did but its just so good. It is a very big commitment to finish though so be prepared.

16. Your Lie in April (22 episodes)

Well this anime is literally beautiful. It is centered around 2 teens w/ major musical talent. It gets deep very fast but its also light hearted and wholesome. This anime made me cry like a baby so get your tissues ready.

No but listen,, it adds up. Lucy's the one who keeps walking into these situations where alternate versions of them are together, She's bound to already be thinking of them as a possibility and it's confirmed she has right so we might actually be getting a chapter where Lucy finally snaps and does something I'm betting it's when they fight Selene (IF THEY DON'T I'M THROWING MYSELF OFF THIS SHIP)

or maybe we'll get one more incident before Ignia's arc and one of them will snap in the middle of that

Well, we all know Edo Natsu was the one to make the first move in his and Edo Lucy’s relationship, right 🙈?

Ik Edolas isn’t entirely the opposite of Earthland and the characters still might somewhat do the same things their counterparts do, but if it were the case..

I was thinking, I don’t know if this will mean it will be the other way around, where Lucy will be the one to make the first move in her and Natsu’s relationship, but I kinda doubt it’s that way opposite of course though, bc i do feel Natsu did somewhat make the first move already in his and Lucy’s relationship by saying they’ll be together forever.

And when we look at Edo NaLu, they’re relationship seemed to have moved somewhat faster than Earth NaLu, I think it’s easy to tell by what Edo Lucy mentioned, I’m sure they also knew of their feelings though, bc people don’t just make a move on each other and fall in love, and i definitely don’t think Edo Lucy would let him put a baby in her if they didn’t really love each other. So it’s easy to see why Earth NaLus relationship might be going a lot slower than their counterparts, but also why i would really love if Lucy made the next move with her and Natsu.

We’ve seen Lucy go from strongly denying her feelings in the past to now not even trying, and to Edo Lucy, not even correcting her when she asked if her and Natsu had a similar relationship and when she knew what she implied that she thought her and Natsu are together in Earthland too.

So though Natsu might know what he feels and confessed in his own way already, if later in the series something traumatic is happening again i feel it’ll definitely be Lucy to be the next one to confess, but actually tell him she loves him, and this is because i feel she’ll get fed up of hiding her feelings and being unsure of their relationship and just want him to know what she feels. I’m sure he’ll reassure her after that too and say he feels the same way it’s why “We’ll be together forever.” 🥺❤️

NaLu Analysis: How they affect one another

Being honest I wasn’t planning to write this post. But I found the need to come back to the subject of the NaLu bonding

A constant in potent relationships is how each of the characters is able to leave an impact on one another

One example would be how Gray found emotional closure thanks to a difficult decision Juvia made, which turned out to be a moment that brought them closer and strengthened their relationship. Something that would eventually lead to Gray making to choice to respond to her feelings, or as he said to Juvia when he thought she was dead: “take her feelings seriously”

But why do I mention such pairing when this is a NaLu analysis? Because the aftermath mirrored a NaLu scene from the GMG arc. The moment Gray takes revenge on the guy who made Juvia sacrifice herself for her beloved (spoiler: she’s later revealed to be alive), mirrors the moment Natsu started his counterattack on Future Rouge after he killed Future Lucy

A similar feeling it’s what led to Natsu and Gray to fight each other during the final arc. While the reveal of Natsu being END makes Gray place the blame, of all the misfortune his loved ones went through (which includes Juvia’s apparent death), on the Dragon Slayer; Natsu entered in berserk mode when he thought one of Zeref’s lackeys killed Lucy, placing the blame for Lucy’s death on his evil brother. Demolishing the person who apparently killed Lucy was no longer enough, he was destroying everything and everyone on his path with the only goal of killing Zeref

Those who read the manga know that Natsu and Gray stopped fighting when Erza reminded them that they’re family. And as soon as the fight ends, both are relieved as their respective girls (Lucy and Juvia) make it to the place alive and well

Still we saw something interesting about Natsu. He first went END on Dimaria driven by his desire to protect Lucy, and later went on a rampage driven by the pain and sorrow he felt from believing he lost her

Lucy affects Natsu by driving him in several ways. And the story (as well as the last FT movie) highlights that fact a couple of times. Some of those examples being the moments already described in this post. But there’s one moment that doesn’t get that much attention

One year after Fairy Tail disbanded, Natsu and Happy reunited with Lucy. What drove Natsu to get the guild back together?

The moment when he saw the length Lucy went to track every one of their guildmates.Natsu was driven by her desire to get Fairy Tail back. Here we have another overlooked factor in emotional chemistry, the way characters can deeply affect one another

During this new journey, Natsu reassured Lucy that they were going to get their family back together, once again doing an earnest effort to personally provide her with hope and comfort. In fact, a perceptive reader concluded that Natsu’s efforts to get Fairy Tail back on track were tied to his newfound desire to restore Lucy’s happiness

Another little instance is seen in the Dragon Cry movie. At the beginning of the story we get Natsu asking Lucy in a curious manner “What do I look like?”. It might seem inconsequential at first, but at the climax of the movie it’s featured as a meaningful call back. After Natsu beats the bad guy with a new transformation (which made him look more like a dragon and less like a person for a while), he asked Lucy that very same question

This shows how much Natsu values the way Lucy sees him, the perspective Lucy holds on his person. And Lucy’s answer was somewhat obvious but sweet nonetheless. He’ll always be Natsu to her no matter what

That leads me to adress the other side of the coin: the impact Natsu had on Lucy

The base of the premise on her side is plain simple, he introduced her to a world filled with excitement and adventure, and took her to the place where she found a home and a family. The rest capitalize on how Natsu offered emotional comfort whenever he could. Something that was already explained in a previous analysis

This part of their relationship is even highlighted through both movies, as Lucy seeks comfort in Natsu or finds herself being relieved and encouraged by the some gestures from him

Most of the moments they shared not only built-up a mutual trust along a deep affection for one another, they also strengthened her attachment to Natsu to the point many could easily and logically conclude Lucy is head over heels for him. Hispanic NaLu fans often discussed how this trait of her was far more obvious when she was drunk

This happened for a first time in the 4th Fairy Tail OVA. But Mashima later integrated this trait in Lucy’s personality, adding up to her relationship with Natsu. She gets frisky with the Dragon Slayer when she’s drunk

Sometimes it gets hard to see the real strength of their bond because of the overused fanservice featured in the story. Of course, it doesn’t help many shippers (which includes self-proclaimed NaLu “lovers”) often portray the characters in ways that distort and defile their bond, actively endorsing Lucy getting married to (and/or getting porked by) the likes of Gray (or Laxus), Natsu becoming a manwhore, etc.

No matter how hard such shippers try to embellish or romanticize such premises, they’re still corrupting what makes the emotional connection between Natsu and Lucy something so beautiful and impactful; ultimately twisting a dynamic and compelling relationship that’s built upon so many meaningful moments, into something that doesn’t even reflect what made it strong and consistent in the first place

In fact it not only conflicts with NaLu, it conflicts with love itself. As people who engage into a deeper connection subconsciously seek a bond that based on faithfulness; a silent promise based on loyalty. Such scenarios take away what makes intimacy in a romantic bond something special

The NaLu bond goes beyond the highly visible physical chemistry most people notice. Its foundation is based on a solid emotional chemistry that nourished their connection and helped them to grow closer and closer. They’re able to affect one another because of the remarkable trust they have on one another; because of how they mutually support one another; because of the deep and sincere affection they have for one another; because of how emotionally attached they steadily became to one another

The manga might repeat several times they’re the most compatible team of Fairy Tail; but that’s not just because of their skills and capabilities. The connection they share, that potent relationship, is what makes them such a great team. And that’s a big part of NaLu’s true beauty

literally nothing hurts me more than the thought of natsu replaying everything that happened in the dragon king festival arc over and over again in his head

he was haunted by their deaths and was still keeping his promise to Lucy a year later and told no one about any of it

he's been bearing this shit alone remembering what it was like to watch his friend die right in front of him and he couldn't do anything to stop it

he was probably conflicted if he should do anything drastic before anything escalates or let it all play out again

he was probably scared of not coming back in time or not being able to save any of them even with all the training he did especially after watching igneel die

So i always had a headcanon about this particular scene, because i love hurting myself, but I've shared it briefly in one of my previous posts i just felt like it deserved it's own

anyway, the surface level reasoning for this scene was lucy thanking natsu for keeping his promise to protect the future right? this scene was directly after the fields of gold scene where the future versions of them essentially move on in the afterlife so it makes sense, I'm not trying to erase that or anything

my headcanon is Natsu thought Lucy was gonna disappear too. look at the way he's standing, incredibly still, clenched fists. he looks so tense for someone who won a battle, too tense especially with him knowing Lucy needs the comfort and instead of turning back to her, it looks like he's WAITING for something to go wrong

hours ago he was doing this because Lucy was troubled, and seconds before this one he was ready to set off but dropped everything to comfort her. He has no reason to hold back when Lucy hugged him but he did.

He thought he was gonna lose this Lucy too because he couldn't save the other one, i think he was waiting for her to disappear in gold sparks like all the dragons and future rouge did.

I don't think Lucy's dense, they haven't communicated their feelings well throughout the years, i don't they even talked about the year natsu left her. Natsu has always been protective of his friends, even a little affectionate so i think it's more her not wanting to assume things until Natsu makes it clear.

Neither of them have much experience when it comes to romance, Lucy's been dating sure but she's never started a potential relationship from an already existing friendship and Natsu's never been interested in anyone enough to try a relationship.

i 100% believe that natsu actually thinks that him and lucy are together already hence the lack of reaction we got from him with the news that alternate universe versions of them are married in the latest chapter because there is just no way that he's that oblivious.

because Lucy acknowledges her feelings in this chapter but believes that natsu just isn't the romantic type of even the type to ever be interested in romance, which to her credit, makes sense

But listen, this is the same guy who uprooted a tree just to cheer this girl up when she was too sick to come to the festivities

Same guy who trusted her words without a second thought no matter how absurd it sounds

Same guy who's willing to help her no matter how difficult the situation is

no one will steal Lucy's future. just lucy. that's all that matters to him, to hell with the world, he knew the world had gone to shit, knew that the rest of them were probably dead but she was the emphasis on his anger. rouge stole Lucy's life right in front of him and that's what set him off

And he's the same person she relies on to keep said promise

and this last gif, the attentiveness in his voice when he asked her if something was wrong, almost bordering on fear, i think, hence the slightly tense stance he's holding clenched fists and all. I always thought he was afraid lucy would disappear too.

And there's so much more but tumblr isn't allowing me to post more media.

Lucy's the only one who's been able to calm him down repeatedly on several occasions wether it was Lucy holding him, even just the thought of her and he comes back to his senses,

him finally collapsing when he realizes that lucy is alive after his fight against gray

him snapping back into reality and calming down when lucy held him back from from killing the water dragon saying she was with him in the 100 year quest

him taking another breath when he remembered lucy during dragon cry

i could go on and on and on

BUT the point is he KNOWS he feels something besides friendship for Lucy, he knows how important lucy is to him so i think he's very aware if how he feels but thinks that Lucy isn't ready to change anything about them yet which is why he didn't say what he was going to say in chapter 545

nothing has to change, they're good as they are, healthier than most relationship even.

and for natsu? they have time, all the time in the world, they could talk about it later if they have to but right now, they both need to stay as they are, they've both lost a lot of people and time, they could wait, but ultimately they needed this sense of normality

and at the same time i think Lucy won't allow herself to be properly happy until she finds aquarius and Natsu won't be satisfied until he's surpassed his heroes, maybe he's even trying ti prove something to himself

and yeah it still fucking sucks, i wish there's st least this formal acknowledgement between them, I don't need anything to change for them, i just really want them to have that talk you know?
