The greater roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) is found predominantly in Mexico and the southwestern US, and occasionally in more eastern states such as Louisiana and Arkansas. Though capable of flight, they prefer to stay grounded, where they can reach a sprint speed of 15-20 miles per hour.

The Tasmanian Devil (Sarcophilus harrisii) is a small marsupial with a big reputation. They have one of the highest bite forces relative to body size of any mammal. Though they're primarily scavengers they will also hunt fresh meat, and often consume the entirety of their prey, bones and all.
Tasmanian devils are considered endangered. The biggest current threat is Devil Facial Tumor Disease, a contagious cancer first identified in 1996. Vehicular strikes, dogs, and hunting and trapping have also played a role in depleting devil populations.
Beginning in 2020, Tasmanian devil reintroduction has begun in mainland Australia, where they had been absent for over 3,000 years.

Narwhals (Monodon monoceros) are an arctic-dwelling whale species. Their tusks, spiraled teeth that can grow to over nine feet long, were once traded across the world as unicorn horns, and believed to hold medicinal properties.
Narwhals are currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, but like all arctic wildlife, their habitat is threatened by climate change and human activities such as oil & gas drilling, shipping, and commercial fishing.

Sandhill cranes (Grus canadensis) can be found across much of North America and part of northeast Siberia. Most populations migrate south for the winter, forming flocks of upwards of 10,000 birds.
