for all of you who struggle to draw horse feet. :) You’ve gotta have those pasterns in there, as they are the horse’s main shock absorbers, as seen in the “bearing weight” example.
If you can handle an animal autopsy, here’s an interesting vid on how the muscles and joints work in the lower leg of the horse.

Type of commission: ("Sketch Bust", "Sketch HalfBody", "Fullcolor with background, etc)
Visual references: (Photos, drawings, screenshots. Any of these are good. They have to show the character itself. I do not work with descriptive text + collage of separate pictures to design a character out of it! That's called a "character design" and It has its own pricing, you can ask if you're insterested.)
Color accurate references: If you send me a reference with a huge watermark that covers the drawing, or a picture with a color palette that is not what the character really looks like, I won't be able to take the colors from it or either way I'll don't have a guide for the colors.
What you want and how you wanted: If you want a really specific thing for your commission, rembember I need the references for the poses, expresion, clouthes or background, so its up to you to let me know exactly how you want your character to be drawn. If you don't know/can't decide what you want, you can talk to me about their personality and I can come up with something myself.

So yeah, here’s the first designs for my Haikyuu gem au. I’ll be posting the designs as sets like ‘1st years’, ‘2nd years’, etc….but I had to get Hinata & Kageyama done first~
I only have a vague idea of what the plot will be, which I’ll make a separate post for when I have it mostly figured out (which wont include volleyball, obviously). In the meantime I just wanna draw the Karasuno team~
Picked Sunstone for Hinata because the boy is literally a ray of sunshine, & I thought Sunstone’s flame head would be a good way to show his messy orange hair. Fudged the gem cut, since we dunno what a canon/non-fusion Sunstone’s gem cut looks like. ^^;
And I went with Moon Diamond for Kags since I figured him being a Diamond would play into the whole ‘King’ name thing he has going for him.

A Lapis Lazuli and Amethyst fusion, Covellite! A moody clown who’s into everything creepy.
This one was a little more difficult since the two have barely shared one line of dialogue on the show as of this moment. I think a mix of their styles of humour, reckless and deadpan, would make Covellite a melancholic fusion, slightly more sinister than expected. Loosely based on Harley Quinn and Sia.
