Hey, heads up, this blog's not gonna be active from here on out! Started a new account a while back for organization reasons, and I've been using it as my main for quite a while, so I'm setting up a new art blog attached to that so I can get it all sorted out proper.
This'll stay up as an archive, of course, but I won't be adding to it. May end up reposting some of the older pieces I'm particularly proud of, maybe not, I don't know yet.

A doodle of a friend's favorite SA2 Chao that got slightly out of hand. Needed to take a break from my current big project, so I just wanted to do something with some real simple brushes and colors. Also, yes, I did intentionally leave the wings off because according to the owner it doesn't like to fly much and I also just hate drawing wings. Drawing Chao always puts me in a good mood

Y'all remember that time I tried thin lineart and it looked terribly flat? I tried giving that drawing a second shot with my new-and-improved style, with thick weighted lines and everything. I know I could've added a lot of extra detail, and I forgot the freckles, but... This was more a test of lines and colors. I'll probably work on something more detailed next. I still have seven outfits I need to work out for Amy in this AU, but... Uh, hopefully I'll get a little quicker before we get there. I'm fairly decent at drawing Roses, but what about a whole bouquet?! When/if I do that, it'll probably take a while. [dA link]

Testing out thin lineart with a pre-resistance Amy design. Think I'll stick to my old style bc thin stuff doesn't allow for a lot of variation or detail, but this was interesting at least. Wanted to add shading at the last minute but tbh this one just didn't feel right in a lot of ways when I tried that

Kinda butchered the image quality on this, but oh well. I just wanted to mess around with designs after watching a few of TrickyWi's yt videos. Fusion sprites are great for inspiration! I set up the color scheme for the actual Pokemon sort of like sprite art, but got a little carried away with the background. This fusion is rooted in Charmander and Seadra sprites.
I think Seamander would probably live on rocky shoals, where they would hunt brachiopods like Clamperl, Shellder or Shuckle. They would build their nests in little caves in the rocks, and use outcroppings as sort of sentry posts so they can get a good look at any competing predators they might have to deal with. They'd be temperamental Pokémon, with a fierce protective instinct and a knack for digging up buried treasure.
