I was showing my boyfriend Zack’s Rebirth scenes because he’s his favorite character, and I was once again struck by the scene in the church where Zack is sitting on the pew. That line about worlds meeting again has stuck with me for months now, and to me it’s this really beautiful moment where Zack knows or at least hopes that he’ll see Aerith again. Another moment I know stuck with me was the scene where Aerith feels Zack touching her hand from beyond the Lifestream/dying world. The Zerith crumbs have me so excited for the reunion
YES both of those scenes are so good and great foreshadowing into their inevitable reunion in part 3!!! the zerith crumbs were surprisingly small in Rebirth but I absolutely loved the little bit we got. their reunion is gonna wreck me :')

I would love to talk about the dream date and what it means because I have SO MANY thoughts about it but the FF7 fandom can be weird so I won't. but just know I appreciate that date and what it's meant to tell us A LOT
#i do have some issues with it because while i'm happy it pretty much confirmed my headcanons the whole sequence came out of nowhere#i feel like it could've been built up a bit more but i also understand it's meant to feel weird and unsettling

I gotta make a list of some of the stuff I've seen to explain the Lifestream theory because while I haven't looked into it TOO much, just the little bit I've seen is incredibly big brained
(major Rebirth spoilers below)
•Zack and Biggs remember dying and are very confused about how they "survived"
•it is outright suggested Aerith will wake up in Zack's world after being killed by Sephiroth (Lifestream is the afterlife)
•the alternate worlds are ending, just like how the Lifestream is dying
•Aerith is the one who saved Zack, and it is thought that her "saving" him is actually just her preventing his soul from fading away into the Lifestream
•Zack and Aerith's hands touch through the Lifestream in chapter 10
•the Lifestream is made up of memories, hopes and dreams. a major part of Zack's character arc revolves around him hoping and dreaming of reuniting with Aerith
