What are your favorite webcomics and why.
Ooh time to go down a rabbit hole! Here are some of my favourites in no particular order:
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
I know it's now a series of graphic novels and also a TV show but when I first started reading it was still just a webcomic so it counts :) I love the artstyle and how cute the characters are, I love how natural the character's interactions feel, and I love that they actually communicate with each other when there's a problem or a misunderstanding. It always makes me happy when I read it.
Charity Case by Malacandrax (complete)
This a sweet one about an aspiring musician relying on the charity of others for support after life gets messy. Pretty much the whole cast is a flavour of LGBTQ+ and the colours are really beautiful.
Dead City by Michelle Parker & Jey Pawlik (complete)
This one's another zombie apocalypse story, about two men trying to survive in Toronto. It was actually an early influence for Apocalypse Baby, although it's definitely aimed at older readers. I like the way the relationship between the two main characters develops and how it feels more slice of life than zombie horror.
The Pauper's Prince by Theorah
Regency style queer romance with an autistic main character by an autistic author! Extremely cute.
KAI by Queenue
I just started this one but I love it so far. It's a rom-com about a teenage wrestler who moves to a new high school and tries to start a wrestling team there. The artstyle is adorable - I particularly love the design of the main character.
The King's Forest by Mel Gillman (complete)
A short but very good comic about a ranger in the king's forest. Honestly I consider it a tumblr classic.
Autistic? Me? by Cath que Desenha
A comic about an autistic 15 year old girl. It has a cute artstyle (I really like cute art, you might have noticed) and lots of moments I relate to as an autistic person.

is your comic on webtoons?
I'm currently working with my agent to get it picked up by publishers, so I'm afraid it won't be available online (at least for the foreseeable future). If all goes well though it will hopefully become a real life book! 🤞
#if it doesnt get picked up I'd still like to get it out there so I'd probably post it as a webcomic in that case#but getting it published is my current goal#graphic novel#apocalypsebaby#writing

Say hello to Abby, the apocalypse baby herself! The apocalypse is all she’s ever known, but despite everything, she remains cheeky and curious. When, by chance, Max and Kiran rescue her from the monsters known as ferals, they decide to try and take her across the wasteland to find somewhere safe.

Max is an autistic teenager who has been surviving alone as a scavenger since the outbreak. He’s always been a bit of a loner and finds people difficult to understand, so he's avoided joining any groups or settlements, preferring to rely only on himself.
