I really wish I could have his mindset- occasionally I get there, but a lot of the times I only get as far as “this will be funny later, I guess!”
will forever be thinking about Kashi, the man in the belly of the giant angler. one of my favorite dialogues in Dead Boy Detectives is him saying: “I do not think I have any trauma. Life has been fair.” the Night Nurse then going, incredulously: “You were swallowed by a gigantic fish.”
what an interesting fellow. to be both incredibly unfazed by and fascinated with every terrible and lovely thing happening to him. maybe when I'm going through a tough time, I'll think of Kashi. “It's an adventure! Let's make a home out of a fish.”

how is it not one person is talking about the Ghost Post in dead boy detectives. imagine being such a mailman in your life that you continue doing it into the hereafter. no eternal rest while there’s mail to deliver. other ghosts don’t know why or how you do it. you are arcane to even the occult
all day in and out you just show up places and shout MAIL CALL and then say vaguely ominous things like “Mail gets delivered wherever you go” and before disappearing into the built in bookshelf. i want this job so bad

I love how the Strong Girl Nam Soon creators clearly realize that a big part of what made Strong Girl Bong Soon so great was that the male lead was so baby purest man alive beautiful damsel and they're trying to capture that again but it's just... so hard to replicate lol.
I'm very excited to see where Nam Soon's and Ms. Scary Assassin Lady's plotlines go tho X]

Not gonna lie, I do the exact same thing when my friends/ family, random people come out to me (I give a vibe of ‘perfect person to come out to’ apparently). Bc my HONEST reaction is “cool, you’re XYZ, any identity you tell me you are is perfectly normal, it doesn’t really make a difference to me”… BUT that is not nice or validating or letting them know I still love and accept them, so I try my very hardest to be all “that’s awesome! I’m so glad you discovered that/can be your full authentic self!!!”
So me too, Eddie. WE WILL GET A GOOD GRADE TOGETHER!!
Eddie’s reaction to Buck coming out to him is everything to me because you can see how much he wants to reassure him and wants to handle it perfectly so that Buck never doubts even for a second that Eddie loves him unconditionally

So of course, as a 911 fan, I am OVER THE MOON about bi Buck. It’s absolutely FANTASTIC and I love that we’re getting to see it.
….. HOWEVER. I hated that episode 😑😭 there was so much awkward second hand embarrassment and what the heck do you mean you were trying to get Tommy’s attention???? Like MAYBE at the beginning before you realized that he was friends with Eddie, but after that you spent the entire episode complaining about him!!!
Still happy about bi Buck, wanna make that clear, but OMG Buck seriously.
I feel like this Tommy arc is going to end with Tommy being like “yeah, this has been fun, but I can tell I am an Eddie substitute… so I’m out, maybe you should talk to Eddie???”

100% this. Because this is very precedented behavior for Buck. He spiraled when Eddie joined the 118 and may have replaced him, he did this when he was injured and they brought in Bosko, etc etc etc. He’s got terrible and irrational abandonment issues from his parents ignoring him, his sister sending him away on his own, not being able to connect significantly with anyone after that until he joined the 118… so OF COURSE Eddie getting a new friend would make him immediately assume that he was about to be left behind and abandoned again.
Even without the whole Buddie angle, it can VERY MUCH hurt like a hole in the chest to be left behind by a best friend. Especially when that friend is your attached-at-the-hip best friend you do everything with, like Eddie is for Buck. Especially when everyone else Buck knows is married and/or has another person that is their #1 person and NOT Buck. So if Eddie gets a new #1 person (let’s face it, their girlfriends have never lasted long enough to get in the way of the Buddie/Eddie BFF train), then that leaves Buck alone. Again. As usual.
Buck looking at Eddie after agreeing about when you click with someone and then just looking so disheartened. And it’s like Eddie doesn’t even realize how much that makes Buck feeling left behind. Buck no doubt is questioning his place. Eddie might be getting a new best friend and where does that leave Buck? Will it be Tommy who becomes Christopher’s next coparent? Is Buck about to lose the only family he has? Is it going to be where he is second best? Will Marisol and then Tommy come first pick? Buck doesn’t know and he’s going to crumble under that. He can’t be sure of anything. Not when Eddie is saying he clicks right away with someone else.
