Danielle Rollins Baltimore VIP Book event benefited Lifebridge’s Rubin Institute for Advance Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital
Tumblr media
Danielle Rolliins is known as an Atlanta socialite who knows how to create the perfect event.  Danielle is also a mother and an author.  Danielle recently came to Baltimore to pay it forward and encourage people at her recent VIP book signing. Danielle recently wrote the book Soiree, Entertaining with Style.  You can purchase the book by clicking here.  Danielle has been traveling the country on a book tour.  Baltimore holds a very special place in the heart of Danielle and her family. About 5 years ago, Danielle’s then 9 year old daughter, Carlyle, was in a car accident that crushed her leg. Danielle went to the best doctors in the nation and all of them said they could not save Carlyle’s leg.
Danielle made a trip to Baltimore’s Sinai Hospital and met with Dr. Herzenburgh.  Dr. Herzenburgh told Danielle he would save Carlyle’s leg. Danielle was sent to Sinai because of Oscar de Renta. Danielle and her daughter saw 11 surgeons in two weeks and Dr. Herzenburgh was the only one who said he would save Carlyle’s leg. Proceeds from Danielle’s Baltimore VIP book signing went to Sinai Hospital’s Save-A-Limb Fund. Danielle remembers connecting with her daughter during her surgery and her recovery. Now 5 years later, Carlyle is a normal 14 year old teenager with a perfectly functioning leg. Dr. Herzenburgh is a leader in Sinui Hospital’s Save-A-Limb Fund.  This program has a mission to “work around the globe to help people with limb deformities and other joint problems in improvised nations. “
Some of the patients and families who benefited from the Save-A-Limb Fund also attended the VIP book signing.  Danielle said "Even pizza can be glamorous. It is not what you serve but how you serve it."  She also said “There is no excuse not to entertain. You can slow down and you can entertain. People always want to remember the high times and not the low times. When you are in a low time remember the high times. You can make the best of a new day. Cherish every moment. The things that we worry about do not happen but the things that do happen we did not worry about it."
You can read more about the Save-A-Limb program and other programs at the Rubin Institute for Advance Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital by clicking here.  Make sure you order Danielle’s book by clicking here.  You can connect with Danielle by clicking here for Twitter and here for Facebook. Click here to see Danielle’s website with plenty of ways to connect with her and stay up to date about her upcoming events.  Danielle is a great example of what it means to pay it forward.
