AT LAST IT'S MY SUMMER BREAK
for a week now actually.
But I've obviously overestimated myself when it comes to multitasking. You guys remember the panfandom site I last mentioned in my old blog? Its tentative opening date is April 13 and it's not half-finished yet. You can imagine what I must have been doing since my break started.
Not gonna lie, going back to forum rping kind of made me lose interest in tumblr rping. But I think that issue will only affect my other tumblr rp blogs, which is one issue that I have been delaying about haha. I feel so bad dropping characters when it's not as if I'm short on threads. Just...time. I mean, I definitely have time but it's hard for me to switch between characters who owe multiple threads each, as opposed to just having many characters who all take place in the same world. Bouncing between them, you know.
I'm not sure how I'll be able to keep up this blog but I've still got threads so right now that's all that's gonna matter.
So still on hiatus? No, I'll definitely reply to some of my threads >:C I can't let them pile up. /vigorously saves all threads I owe into drafts

Jenruki man. I'm actually a die-hard shipper of Jenruki hahaha. I don't think they would get romantically involved easily but I really, really am interested to a Jenruki relationship in general. In the show, they had polar opposite beliefs but I think they were at a stalemate at that. They didn't really exchange many lines at each other. Oh, I thought that was a nice touch. But now i want more :D
DAY 07: A coupling you can't stand
More like, I can't stand how the fandom had been debating over Adventure/02's couples during the ending. I'm pretty neutral about most ships, but if there's a couple I don't support as much, it's Taikari.
DAY 08: Favorite couple
...uh. I like Kenyako. I can just imagine Ken being the quiet and calm husband and Miyako being the energetic wife. They're not the perfect couple but I can see that kind of relationship getting well in real life. Their interactions in the series too is fairly balanced. Nothing too forced and nothing too insubstantial.
DAY 09: Favorite friendship
Surprise! It's Taikari! It's not actually that I don't ship them romantically because it can totally happen. But I'm just more contented to seeing them as friends. I imagine them to be the main lead role in a Studio Ghibi movie that's why and it would be a really good movie.
I also love the Takuya and Kouji dynamic. Out of all the gogglehead and lone wolf interactions, theirs was the best, and I would give the full credit to Takuya. I like the moments where he took notice of his friend's small behavior and actually tried to reach out to them. He did this a lot with Kouji. The first ones had hilarious results.
DAY 10: Favorite season
Digimon Tamers. Until today, it's killing me inside how Tamers was supposed to have a second season. But then again, if they didn't scrap it, Frontier might have never happened.
I'm still crossing my fingers for a Tamers sequel.

So it was just the two of them plus the Digimon with Hikari. Kouji wasn't surprised. Whoever had a link to the Digital World must had been sent here for some reason. Kouji didn't know Hikari's full story, but she was obviously familiar with the existence of Digimon. But why did she have a digivice, and not him as well? Kouji was clearly fixated on this issue. It showed in the scowl that flashed on his face.
"Same here..." he said, realizing how unhelpful his answers have been.
Kouji fell silent at Hikari's next question and avoided her eyes. If he told her that he'd been here before with his friends and brother, would she believe him? She'd asked about the digivice earlier. He knew she was making sure of who he was, but right now, Kouji had no proof of his connection to the Digital World. He had been a little distrustful of Hikari, but from the looks of it, he was the most suspicious between the two of them.
The train came to a stop, sparing Kouji from answering. He looked outside and followed after Hikari half a foot behind. He wasn't raring to step outside the train, a concern Hikari greatly shared.
"Whoever sent us here wants us to. I don't think it's a good idea either but we don't have much of a choice." Kouji walked to the train doors and looked at Hikari with a serious expression.
"But before we start walking around blindly..." Kouji took out his phone and showed it to Hikari. "I won't be of much help and will probably end up slowing us down. If things become bad, I want you to leave me and save yourself. Got it?"

Kouji was intending to ask about Izumi's missing luggage once he got the chance to bring it up. He hadn't been blind to not notice, but he assumed Izumi had already taken care of it. His guess was she left it with her parents. Had they gone ahead? He and Izumi hadn't really worked out on a plan for today, but Kouji wasn't too worried about it.
He took his mother's joke at stride, letting the girls chuckle at his expense. He was kind of expecting it. What he didn't expect, however, was for Izumi to sort of stand up for him. It left Kouji staring at her with a mixture of bemusement and surprise. He wasn't sure how to react. It was thoughtful of her but...it kind of went out of the blue. It had a reminiscing feel on it, so Kouji suspected Izumi was referring to a time when they were in the Digital World.
"Ah, I see. Yes, they are all nice kids. Kouji has made really good friends," Satomi said, eyeing at her son's expression. She smiled widely at Izumi, bending a bit as she put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Izumi. We'll go out and eat pastries someday to catch up! For now, where would you two like to eat?"
It was obviously going to be Izumi's call.
"Did you have a place in mind?" Kouji asked Izumi.
The return.
"Y-Yes! It’s Izumi!" With a faint blush appearing on her cheeks, Izumi bowed respectfully after the woman gently introduced herself. "It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Satomi-san, I’ve heard of you from Kouji." She smiled back at her.
Izumi shifted her gaze again to Satomi’s face and analyzed her quietly, She had always wanted to meet the brunette, always curious about how could she be. Her warm smile, and those maternal eyes that she had when she was looking at Kouji, it was obvious that she cared for him, that she loved him as a mother could love her children. Then she looked at her friend and even if he wasn’t smiling, something similar was on his eyes. Unwittingly the blonde smiled and let scape a sligh sigh of her mouth.
She blinked twice at the unexpected question and then covered her mouth laughing a bit at Satomi’s words. “It’s fine, Kouji can be a gentleman.” She was being sincere, suddenly the picture of the warrior of light lending his jacket to her appeared on her mind. “I asked my parents to take them at home for me, since I knew Kouji would come to see me.” She explained cheerfully.
"All of them are good kids." She added with a kind of maternal voice. "Even Takuya, who can be a bit stubborn and hotheaded is… I’m a bit jealous because they could meet Satomi-san before I did, I hope they didn’t cause any trouble to you." She joked and then giggled a bit.

"Yeah," Kouji affirmed, neutral in tone. "You don't have to exaggerate," he assured him, feeling undeserving of the praise. Junpei hadn't even taken a bite. "Anyone can learn how to cut with a knife and roll nori."
It wasn't a complicated dish to be proud of. The sushi platter was known for the simplicity of its delicacies. Its ingredients were its most contributing factor, while Kouji merely poured in time and effort (as well as money) for preparing it. But even if it wasn't something he could brag about, Kouji had enjoyed making it. He also really liked how it turned out and his mother wholly agreed to it.
"Come to think of it, the sushi I made was the only time she praised me for anything kitchen-related." She probably liked seafood too like Kouji, though he was almost certain she preferred pasta...
Kouji's thoughts quietly wander away with his eyes. He was at ease just by being with his friend. He wasn't very concerned about what Junpei thought of the bento he made. Even if it wasn't Junpei's type, it shouldn't be half-bad. Kouji might have terrible cooking skills, but he didn't have numb taste buds.
