hahah, no need to worry, stan! i actually have a healthy life, i barely enter this account now (but yes, i plan to come back!).
i'm not gonna stop because of an anonymous ask btw. if you have anything bad to say about me or my blog, then come and say it face to face... or are you afraid that you are going to be proven wrong?
anyway, i think you also should be free from randomly hating on blogs that spread abuse awareness, cuz that certainly is loser behaviour.

Not Catradora being incest!
yes, c//a are sisters. they viewed themselves as sisters (confirmed in one of the official books), adora referred to shadow weaver as her mother, catra and adora grew up with the same parental figure and in the same environment... and the fact that catra says "i love you, i always have" while she used to view adora as her sister is... uhh... concerning, to say the least.
i don't know if you're a stan or an anti c//a, but i just wanted to explain a bit about it.

DO NOT GO AND HARASS THE CREATOR OF THIS TWEET!
Tumblr media
WRONG!!! catra "loved" adora before she turned out to be she-ra because she was easier to control and manipulate. catra showed many signs of being abusive while they were "friends" (ever since they were both kids, actually). and this continued even after sdora's departure from the horde: not only catra kept abusing her (in even worse ways, imo) but catra also abused lots of other people who were supposed to be her friends (scorpia and entrapta, for example).
catra never really loved adora herself. she just liked how easy it was to manipulate her.

my entire experience with C//A and how i became an anti
(this is just my personal experience!!!)
i watched spop for the first time when I was around 12 years old. and I must admit: like most of the public, i LOVED catra//dora. i already knew that they would become canonical, and i watched the entire show with the mindset of "catra will change, everything will be fine".
it was like that for years. i was completely blinded by the narrative created in spop, and i didn't see any problem with the way catra treated adora (and even found some abusive scenes "hot/spicy"). i already drew them, i already bought one of the spop books...
but everything started to change when i watched spop with my mom. i was so excited because my mother had agreed to watch a cartoon with a lot of representation with me... but she hated the end of the cartoon. she and i even argued about it. not just because it was a lesbian couple (she's homoph0bic), but because i was refusing to see how bad representation in spop was. she said something like "didn't she (catra) tried to kill her (adora)?". and then i'd become speechless or say something like "yeah, but she (catra) changed!!!".
honestly, i should apologize to my mother for making her watch and swallow something that only pushed her more towards the side of prejudice.
(i'm not saying that my mother is right to be homoph0bic, i'm just saying it's clear that she has a different mindset than me, for example.)
some time after that (I believe 2 years later), i was browsing youtube when i saw a video with the title "catra mistreating adora for 16 minutes" (if I'm not mistaken, it was 16 minutes). it was made by captain konami, who deleted their channel some months ago.
after some time avoiding it, i went into the video expecting it to be some clickbait, but no, it really was a video arguing and showing all the abusive moments of catra with adora. this weighed on my mind, i didn't want to accept it so i just ignored it.
however, i went back to the video some time later out of curiosity to see the comments, and to my surprise, i came across a masterpost of counterarguments against catra//dora. here are the screenshots:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it made a lot of sense to me. again, i didn't want to believe it, but it made too much sense. i searched for more texts and evidence of catra's abuse towards adora, and, after months in denial, i was able to accept and change the mindset i had been cultivating for so many years.
i decided that i wanted more people to see the truth and so I created a twt account, another account on tiktok (in brazilian portuguese) and after some time i also created this blog to spread the word. honestly, it was the best thing i did in this fandom.
not only did i raise awareness about different forms of abuse, i also felt much better about my understanding of the catra//dora relationship. It was even liberating. ever since what happened between me and my mother, i knew something was wrong, but i refused to see the truth.
i feel so much better now that i've accepted it.

that makes sense! thanks for adding that up. yeah, I worded it pretty badly, sw didn't have a development at all. and about catra, it's actually true!
@anti-catradora-collection would you believe me if I said that that Catra is way worse and way toxic than Shadow Weaver?
i'm feeling a bit dizzy as i'm sick rn but I'll try to answer this in the best possible way, please correct me if I'm not making sense:
catra and shadow weaver are both terrible people, however, i believe that it's natural that some people think catra is worse given the fact she has way more screentime. we've seen catra "mirroring" a LOT of shadow weaver's actions (well, they have that "abusive mother who raised an abusive daughter" dynamic, so it's natural for that to happen too), but not only because of shadow weaver's abuse to her: catra also did everything she did cuz she chose to do it. i won't dive into their backstories, I'm just analyzing the surface: their actions, what (briefly) made them do it and the consequences of it.
both wanted power, both chose to do horrible things, both manipulated other people, both tried to kill other people. honestly, i can't see them being any better from each other. i can understand people who say "catra is worst" or "sw is worst", but for me, they were just terrible in their own ways.
(also, both had a rushed and incoherent development.)

wow, what beautiful parallels.
catra electrocuting adora, rendering her weak and tying her down vs catra succeeding in manipulating adora into starting a relationship with her.
truly the romantic ship of all time.

Was the video that, alongside various Tumblr spop criticism posts, caused your realization of C//A being abusive (And glorifying abuse), “Catra Mistreating Adora for 16 minutes” by Captain Konami?
yes, exactly that video. it popped on my youtube and i was like "nahh i ain't watching this". i watched it anyway and well... here we are, lol.

Putting aside the cheesy love quote that doesn't have much to do with what's happening-
Let's talk about what Catra said in the second picture.
"It doesn't always have to be you!"
I wish she was right. But the writers had other plans. Adora HAD to take the Failsafe. She HAD to be self sacrifical one more time so Catra could have a reason to be angry at her. And of course, Shadow Weaver HAD to be the one suggesting that idea, so Catra would think Adora was chosing their abuser over her. Everything was perfectly set up to make it look like Catra was the one caring about Adora and didn't want her to sacrifice herself.
But to do so, the writers made some mistakes:
1. They forgot Catra asked Adora to stop Horde Prime.
Tumblr media
Like, Catra, what did you think was going to happen? You thought Adora and Horde Prime were going to solve it with an arm wrestling match??? Of course Adora was going to risk her life, Failsafe or not! It's a war!
2. I really don't buy Catra being oh so worried about Adora's life after the attempted murders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if at this point in the story Catra regretted her actions, someone should have still pointed out that she wasn't always so concerned about Adora's life. Adora should have told her "Oh, now you care? I thought you had no problem with me risking everything to protect you!" .
3. As if trying to murder Adora wasn't enough, Catra also took advantage of her self sacrifical problem many times during the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She knew Adora was like this and she used that knowledge to talk her down and hurt her. But hey! Now that she's with Adora again, she suddently cares.
4. THEY RUINED ADORA'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
In the previous season, Adora finally learned that she had control of her life and her destiny wasn't to be a hero or to sacrifice everything. That was beautiful! That was what Adora needed, not a girlfriend who leaves her as soon as things get bad.
Nate really had the guts to say he wanted Adora to be less self sacrifical, but forced her to be a marthyr once again because only She-ra could take the Failsafe without dying. That's bs. Adora had already learned that lesson, but since Catra wasn't involved in her development, they reversed Adora's character and made her go back to how she was in season 1.
Don't get me started on Catra's abbandonament issues. That's a topic for another post 🍃

you know, adora being the one who always made the promises that she would stay with catra, that she would bring catra home etc. just feels wrong to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
adora never left catra. as much as this series shows that catra is the abandoner, it loves to tell the opposite and do some victim blaming with adora. that second scene basically tries to tell us that "adora left catra and now is trying to save her back" when the series itself shows that adora never even left catra to begin with. about the promise, it simply was made to make people believe even more about what i said previously: "adora is the abandoner" (just like the first scene).
now, what did catra promise? absolutely nothing. she never even apologized properly for being an abuser and war criminal, why would she promise anything like adora does? it would be so much more meaningful if catra made a promise that, for example, she would change after properly realizing what she did wrong and actually fulfilled that, with a proper development, but that didn't happen.
because of course adora has to apologize for everything and carry this relationship in her back. i mean, it's part of her character to apologize for everything, but what exactly did catra do for adora that wasn't at least toxic? yes, she stayed with adora for once at the end and then proceeded to lie in her own confession, victim blame adora, and insult her as an idiot (thing that adora had internalized).

Thank you for the blog and awareness you are spreading. I never even finished the series because the stans and shippers were awful. I didn't want to see c//a end up with adora. I didn't want them to get together. This is one of the times where abuse 100% should be spoken about, with other f/f pairs the term is just thrown around but with them theirwhole dynamic is rooted in abuse and power dynamic
you're welcome, anon! i also believe that c//a and the toxicity of this couple should be talked about more, and that's why i personally created this blog. but i wouldn't have even realized it if it weren't for the other pages here on tumblr (and also for a video deleted from youtube), so, credit goes to them too!
i unfortunately finished watching spop 3 times. i'll talk more about my personal experience with this series in a post today, but i can understand where you're coming from!
thanks for the message! it certainly made my day. <33

i've seen someone mention this before, and i am here to prove it:
C//A relationship occurred on an existing pattern: adora accidentally says something that makes catra mad -> catra hits/insults her -> catra runs away, expecting adora to chase after her and feeling like she's rejected if that doesn't happen.
simple examples of this fact, at all stages of their lives:

my genuine thoughts on rogekyle/repkyle.
as i want to discuss a bit about this ship, feel free to leave your comments on it below too! please be respectful when giving your opinions tho.
Tumblr media
okay, so, I've already seen people say that repkyle is weird cuz:
1. rogelio is an anthropomorphic reptile.
yes, he is. however, he possesses the mind of a human. he feels human empathy, he cares about others, he understands what is happening and what other people are saying. he's basically a human in a reptile body that walks in two legs (and, honestly, the fact that he walks in two legs just like a human pretty much proves my point. however, i'd agree that this ship would be weird if rogelio walked around just like a reptile would, in all four legs, because that'd heavily imply that he's a full animal). also, in a world where a human is dating a catgirl that doesn't even have human skin (c//a), where a human is dating a robot (entrapdak) and where a human is dating a partial scorpion (scorfuma), i believe that rogekyle isn't really a problem after all.
2. rogelio has also bullied kyle.
wrong. rogelio actually genuinely cared about kyle, he even tried to comfort him (in his own language) during that one episode where they had to deal with the "acid rain". after all, how would rogelio participate in the bullying like lonnie does if he doesn't even speak human languages?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyway, i really do believe that rogekyle and probably bowkyle are both good ships for kyle. feel free to lemme know if you, by any chance, think differently!

I find it funny how there's plenty of images of glimmadora being healthy and nice but C//A fans use the same 4 images because there's almost no healthy scenes of catra with adora.
And even then the images are either
1. Adora being herself and stans making it about Catra
2. Not the real Catra (hologram, fake reality)
3. The portal reality
4. Season 5
5. Catra abusing Adora and making it "romantic"
exactly!! it's even funny how c//a stans try to say that glimmadora is "abusive" when their ship has like 1 or 2 healthy scenes (and the healthy scenes are practically always like the ones you said: fake catra, making everything about adora be about catra, etc.)
