biological differences between men and women are inherently neutral. they do not indicate male superiority over female people. to suggest so is inherently sexist. to complain when female sports cater to female anatomy - such as the smaller balls in the wnba because women tend to have smaller hands - is what sexists do. they want women to be forced to prove ourselves according to standards designed for men because they want to see us fail. it is sexist to argue that women who wish to compete on their own terms are pronouncing themselves as inferior. nobody said that but you. because you’re a sexist that hates women
i know we cannot recount all the ways women have been feminists throughout history much less backtrack through centuries of badly recorded history to find when feminism "started" but i still was put off by this article putting a name and date to who "started feminism"
maaaaaybe it’s not really counter culture or nonconformist at all to create a plethora of entirely new identities based on every minute aspect of your personality which can be easily marketed and pandered to, furthering this egotistical american obsession with hyperindividuality but hey man, that’s just me.
"Letting go can feel like a tremendous struggle, even when you know it is absolutely necessary for you to live a better life. Breaking with the past is literally a break, an end, a refusal to return." - Unknown
And also a cool antagonist, srsly Banana Fish is so good with the characters. The first time I watched it I was so impressed I couldn't talk about it on the internet because it seemed to me it would break the charming spell it put on me.
