Why Roman Volkov deserves the world:
the obvious course of action to a child who’d lost her home, was for him to make flower crowns
he is fiercely protective of anyone he gets emotionally attached to

Black Betty gang friendship mom status
Chubs: Literally no difference he is the mom of the whole gang no doubt. He’s that friend that has the hand sanitizer handy 24/7 and hands you a tissue the second he even heard the echo of sniffle across the house. Makes everyone practically bathe in sun screen when it’s above 80 degrees. Also carries around a pocket planner that has everyone’s appointments and such.
Ruby: the chill one but talking back to her is basically suicide on your behalf
Liam: in charge of entertainment and food. And as we all know a soccer mom. Like no one even dares to open the trunk because they know—they know that fold up chairs will be tumbling out and crushing them. Also you can hear him cheering on everyone’s kid at any sports. And those chairs? He never sits in them no he’s too into the game. And no one ever knows who’s game it is the Liam want to go to like they don’t have kids yet and even if they did sports would be a disaster
Vida: late but doesn’t give fuck about it.
Zu: Gives A+ advice to everyone and makes them question their whole life after one conversation.

Things i need in a Darkest Legacy sequel:
Ruby’s reaction to Roman and Zu
Excessive description of the new Haven, specifically the art wall
Zu dying her hair a crazy colour
Lana finally healing and finding Priya again
Roman impressing a reluctant Vida with his combat skillz
That little girl returning to Roman his flower crown (pressed in an attempt to keep it intact, spoiler: it falls apart within minutes and Roman loves it even more)
Vida and Priya becoming Besties tm
Zu being a Bad Bitch and finally facing the government down
Chubs taking up either meditation or yoga, to help with his work-stress
The dramatically tearful reunion of Priya and Princess
Joseph Moore being exposed as the greasy rat he really is
An amused Liam and studious Chubs combining forces to awkwardly try and give Roman and Zu The Talk - featuring contradicting advice, gesturing, and unnecessary diagrams (courtesy of Chub’s government issued printer)... Zu is pissed, Roman is baffled, Priya is gleeful

LIAM AND ROMAN: THE CAR TRIP
•one day zu calls roman saying “you should pick up liam on your way up, i need his help building some bunk beds at HQ”
•roman is like S H I T
•but really says “yes of course. anything for you”
•lee immediately agrees, bc it’s lee
•so roman picks up liam and
•he straight up kicks him out of his seat
•again
•like in tdl
•roman just sighs and does as he is told
•”should have learned the first time rambo”
•roman even tries to pick the music and lee slaps his hand. even though they were going for the same station
•”you ever heard the rule?”
•roman is like weLL ALRIGHT MIGHT AS WELL JUST SIT HERE and decides to just stay silent the whole time
•but five minutes in puppy lee gets angsty
•boi can’t handle silence
•ruby once was taking a nap in his prescene and he started talking to his own reflection
•so he starts asking roman a bunch of questions
•roman, being the on edge guy he is, gets intimated by said questions and in a quiet voice says “this feels like an interrogation sir”
•“RAMBO CHILL I JUST ASKED WHAT YOUR FAVORITE COLOR WAS”
•(roman says yellow btw)
•after realizing they have nothing in common liam starts DIGGING for things to talk about
•”uh so roman, what do you like doing?”
•roman, with no hesitation “Zu”
•LIAM FUCKING SWERVES THE CAR
• ALMOST KILLING BOTH OF THEM BEFORE SLAMMING ON THE BREAK
•”GET OUT”
•roman: a clueless russian boi
•“i’m sorry what did i say?”
•“NO ONE TALKS ABOUT MY ZUZU LIKE THAT”
•roman: still in utter confusion
•“sir i don’t get what you are so mad about”
•liam is like ??????
•“YOU SAID YOU LIKE DOING ZU, SEE THE PROBLEM?”
•now roman is like ?????
•liam just heavily sighs
•”YOU IMPLIED TO LIKE TO DO IT WITH SUZUME”
•it then clicks in his head
•AND HIS CHEEKS BE BURNING
•“oh um i thought you asked who i liked”
•liam just laughs. and laughs. and laughs. until he physically cannot breathe
•”jesus rambo trying to kill me or somethin’”
•when ruby and zu hear about this THEY DIED
•zu is like “oh honey” :((((((
•but inside she isn’t even alive
•the faces zu and ruby make at eachother as they both try SO HARD not to laugh, priceless
•priya NEVER lets it go.
•she wants that moment on her grave
•and vida just raises her eyebrows at him when ever they are near eachother making him blush
•in conclusion, soft russian boi never gets a break

Flower monster

•roman, actual flower child, can not only make killer flower crowns
•BUT CAN ALSO PUT TOGETHER A MEAN BOUQUET
•zu is always like “where in the fresh hell did you learn to make these”
•but doesn’t say anything bc she loves them
•zu and roman will pick each other flowers as a date
•it’s so cute when zu picks him a single flower bc romans face turns into a tomato
•but he also picks so many flowers for zu that you can’t see his face
•and zu simply just kisses his cheek
•SO THEN HE ENDS UP BLUSHING. whatta nerd
•when liam finds out about this little flower thing
•he hits up roman
•bc liam once picked up dead flowers and gave them to ruby tryin’ to be all cute
•but then found them in the trash 30 minutes later
•liam in bed that night: ”did you not like them?? if our love gone??? i’m sorry for whatever i did what can i do for you to love me again????”
•”babe the flowers were dead”
•liam in small voice, ”i thought they were vintage”
•ANYWAYS roman fixes up a bouquet so beautiful it makes ruby cry and smile for days
•and as ruby is admiring the flowers liam slips roman a twenty
•and roman is like “oh no i had this premade”
•LEE IS LIKE ????
•following this, zu kind of starts noticing that roman disappears throughout the day
•LIKE A LOT
•she looks through security footage and sees he keeps going into one of the storage rooms
•so she decided to investigate when he isn’t in there
•and what she finds
•her heart exploded
•YOU KNOW HOW LEE HAS THIS LITTLE WORKSHOP WHERE HE CAN BECOME A LUMBERJACK DAD???
•WELL THIS IS ROMANS VERSION OF THAT
•he has plant lights and temperature settings AND EVERYTHIng
•THE KID HAS HIS OWN DAMN FLOWER SHOP
•i can’t breathe
•this is so cute. i love him
•so upon finding this out, zu stops questioning where he always is bc she knows this is how he deals with his past and it’s pretty damn adorable
•like imagine him picking flowers for the kids when they have a bad day
•ITS THE CUTEST
•AND WITH THE HAVEN KIDS??? ROMAN, FLOWERS, AND THE HAVEN KIDS??? SIGN ME UP FOR THAT

••“Whatchya doing?” Zu asks, leaning against a tree a few strides away.
••Roman drops the daisies in his hands, eyes widening a little but not landing on Zu at his back.

•chubs one day: “dude are you singing to the flowers?”
•”maybe”
•”you are all so weird, don’t know how you AND lee manged to get a girlfruend in a matter of weeks meanwhile my normal ass took months to get with vida”
•roman just shrugged and went back to his flowers
•the kids at the psion ring call him “THE FLOWER MONSTER”
•it’s quite adorable
•he has a whole section in his flower room where he grows yellow flowers for zu
•zu always brings him back new seeds for new flowers and secreatly puts them in his plant room
•ROMAN AND FLOWERS IS JUST PURE. JUST TOO PURE
