Parents
Anastacia has always love her parents and looked up to them. Thomas and Marilyn Dolohov are the type of parents who push their children and expect a lot, but normally properly reward them for a job well done. Thomas always treated Anastacia as his little princess, spoiling her to no end and letting her get away with almost anything. Marilyn saw Anastacia as a mini version of herself and trained Anastacia in the old pureblood ways. Marilyn taught her about the proper way to talk to other purebloods, how to behave at society events, and the proper people to be around. Marilyn always worried about appearances and not about finding herself a job. She believed that raising both her children into proper members of pureblood society was a job. Thomas worked in the Ministry as a high ranking official but quit when Tony was born and started working more with property dealings. He trained Tony to take over the business and manage money.
Thomas and Marilyn are a traditional pureblood couple, they have their two children who are well trained in the society guidelines and are eligible for marriage. Of course, the current state of affairs in the Wizarding World does not allow for a marriage but Marilyn and Thomas want to see their children married and happy. Of course, being a main point in pureblood society should be part of that happiness. Marilyn an Thomas put a high expectation on behaving properly and fulfilling ones duties. Hence why they push their children to be their best and make the best connections.

Ana listened to Evan politely, tracking the things he said. Yes, Evan was her friend, but it was in Ana's nature to keep tabs on everyone. She believed that you could never be too careful. "My life? Thrilling? I've been holed up at home doing work and only going outside for work. Not very thrilling in my opinion," Ana replied, scoffing. Her life had been mediocre as of late. The only upside was that Diagon Alley seemed less crowded with the younger kids having gone back to Hogwarts. "As for the whiskey, you know how to please a woman," Ana replied in a teasing manner.
Ana brought the glass to her lips slowly, relishing the fine scent of the whiskey. She closed her eyes in delight and almost moaned. She hadn't had whiskey this fine in a while. Smelling the aged alcohol brought a smile to her lips. "To the future, and more evenings like this. This is the good life," Anastacia commented as she sipped the whiskey delicately. She smiled again, the taste wonderful.
"Evan, thank you for having me tonight. It's good to see some old friends again," Ana sincerely thanked him as she slowly sipped her whiskey, never wanting the glass to end. It hadn't been easy for her, a social butterfly, to be cautious of her whereabouts and how much she was leaving the house. She thrived off of society and being in the public eye. Keeping her head down and keeping from appearing suspicious was hard for her. "So if you haven't been doing much, how have you entertained yourself in here? I can't imagine you just sitting around doing nothing all day."
Single or Double || Anastacia & Evan
With a quick glance over Anastacia, Evan turned his back and headed towards the large oak cabinet with its glass front. Through the glass you could make out many bottles with darkened labels and their decanters pull of a range of different shades of brown liquid. Evan flicked the small key they hung in the lock towards the right, causing a click to echo up into his ears. “What have I-? Nothing much, quite honestly,” he said, tugged the cabinet door open and fishing out two crystal glasses along with a decanter full of whiskey. “I’ve been seeing family, staying at home, keeping my head down…” Sleeping with a mudblood.
Evan moved towards the coffee table and put down the glasses gently. “I do hope your life has been much more thrilling than mine has,” he teased pulling out the stopper and sloshing a generous amount of whiskey in each glass. “Oh, and I hope you like whiskey. Macallan. 1926.” The stopper was replaced and the decanter popped on the table.
Offering a glass to Anastacia, Evan lifted his own to his lips. He took in a deep breath, feeling his nostrils with the pleasing scent. He’d learnt to appreciate the finer things in life, especially now that he didn’t know when Auror’s were going to be raining down upon his home. “To the future. Full of more evenings like this.”

Ana raised an eyebrow at Remus. "I'm not bored with you, many people see it as a compliment when I bring it up with them," Ana pointed out," while I may be fishing for a topic, at least I'm continuing the conversation," she explained, the haughtiness normally reserved for other purebloods seeping into her voice. She was trying to be polite, in a way. She just really wanted to learn more about Remus. He was proving to be a challenge for her, and Ana always welcomed a challenge.
However, Ana smiled when Remus compared it to talking about the weather. "I guess it wasn't my smoothest transition," Ana conceded. "I haven't been talking to too many people lately. More keeping to myself I guess," she revealed, hoping that it would prompt Remus to reveal something about himself. Ana knew there were secrets he was hiding. As to what they were, Ana didn't have the slightest idea. It was odd to her, knowing close to nothing about the person in front of her.
Ana waited patiently for his reply. She could tell he wanted to keep guards up, but there was only so long that they could stand there in silence before it was too awkward and social protocol called for Remus to speak. Ana was fine just standing there, making people a little uncomfortable was one of her specialties. The tactic was not unfamiliar. She had steered the conversation for long enough, now the ball was in Remus' court.
Call It Mystery or Anything || Remus & Anastacia
Remus nodded slowly at her explanation for wanting information, he knew the feeling all too well. After all hadn’t he basically done the same thing to her earlier in their conversation in regards to her own “job?” Though that didn’t stop him from leaning towards her and narrow his eyes jokingly as he stated mock ominously, “Curiosity killed the cat, y’know.” A light chuckle passed his lips after a moment and his usual kind grin returned to his face.
But his smile was quickly replaced with an arch of an eyebrow at her talk of Quidditch. “Wow, bringing up Quidditch talk like that? Y’know, you can tell me that you’re bored with me and I’ll leave you alone. I promise I won’t be offended,” he commented with a bark of a laugh. “Not that I don’t love talking about it, it’s just that’s usually a ‘Well we officially have run out of things to talk to’ tactic. Sort of one step above bringing up the weather on the general scale of such things.”
He understood her change of subject to a much safer one, but he certainly didn’t want to impose. Without a doubt he could spend the entire day talking about the sport he had always worshipped though his mind was telling him it might just be better to go their seperate ways when there was really no need to spend more time with this woman despite how pleasant their interactions had been. It was probably safer, but he obviously was going to give her the option as to not give her much more of a read on himself by making such a choice.

Anastacia looked around Evan's house. It was a nice living place. Ana knew that fulfilled Evan's need for independence and his simple living style though. "Well this is quaint," Ana said, turning her head to see the entire hallway. "Very spacious Evan." Ana could see a number of doors in the hallway and a few hallways that branched off from the one they were in.
Ana followed Evan to the room and promptly began looking around again. "I'm certain that whatever you have in stock will be just fine for me," Ana reassured him. "I'm not too particular about my alcohol. Just as long as I get something to drink," she admitted. She observed the room more and found it to be comforting and almost relaxing.
"So Evan, what else have you been up to lately?" Ana asked, figuring that a conversation would be better than waiting for him to get drinks in silence. Evan Rosier had been a companion of hers for years, but never someone she kept close tabs on. Of course, she knew all the information that was necessary to know. But, for some time now things in the wizarding world were hectic. Dumbledore's death had affected everyone, no matter what side of the war they were on. Everything was odd now and it was hard to keep tabs on some people Ana had discovered.
Single or Double || Anastacia & Evan
With a crack and a thud, two figures appeared in the hallway of the Rosier townhouse. It was dark; the oil lamps extinguished leaving the air crisp and cooled. There was a fumbling noise and then, with a quick flick, the lamps lining the hallway flickered on a automatically gaze off an eery glow.
"Welcome to my home," cut a voice belonging to Evan Rosier. He’d long since let Anastacia’s hand drop from his, pocketing his wand once more. "This is the home we Rosier’s used for… business before I moved out of my family manor. I want a place of my own and father offered me this." It was a larger house, able to occupy several individuals but Evan lived here alone with the company one small, fragile house-elf.
Gesturing to a closed door, Evan said, “We’ll go in there, that’s where the alcohol is.” He reached out for the handle and gave it a twist to reveal his living space, or as his mother called it ‘The Drawing Room’. “Hopefully I have something that you like.”

Its your liquor cabinet, so I think protocol says that you have to bring me there.

I think your house-elf may be traumatized by your smelly socks Evan.
Then why are we still standing here?

Oh, I think it’s because she finds my socks too smelly. Obviously, I’m joking.

Anastacia laughed at Remus' response to her question. "Curious? A bit. Mostly, I just like to know things about people. Helps me get a read on them. I'm quite a people watcher," she explained. Remus was quick. She could tell he wasn't saying all that needed to be said. But then again, she shouldn't really know much about him as she is a few years older than him. "I guess I understand. The Ministry is in a peculiar state at the moment," she commented.
"Its not so much that I'm concerned, I just enjoy learning things about people and figuring them out. I like to ask questions," she responded, returning his teasing tone. It was true. Ana loved to ask questions, especially personal ones, to learn more about who she was dealing with. She never liked to be in the dark, she wanted to know everything she could. Her thirst for explanations and information really had driven her to the job, if it even was one, that she had.
Ana looked over at Remus again. He seemed a little tense, probably hiding some information. Or it was his unease about being around her, a pureblood who associates with people believed to be Death Eaters. It was a typical reaction to be cautious around her. She was used to it. "So, who do you think is going to be the best quidditch team this year? I think the Kenmare Kestrels are doing pretty well and, as per usual, the Chudley Cannons are looking poor," she stated. Quidditch was a safe topic. Quidditch was a topic anyone would talk about. Jobs on the other hand, can get tricky. Best to stay away from tricky subjects for now, Ana decided.
Call It Mystery or Anything || Remus & Anastacia
All Remus could do was smirk at the comment about the “odd men” Anastacia spent some of her time with, opting to be smart and keep the comments he would usually throw out with his friends to himself. Best to just keep things friendly as he didn’t know exactly how she reacted to certain things with only a small conversation to go on. He just kept quiet as he nodded along to her explanation of her free time, listening as he did best.
Yet when the question came from her he had to admit he was a bit surprised. Most people that had been closer in year to him had asked questions like that plenty of time but he didn’t think the older woman would have remembered such information about him. “Well, well, someone’s curious about my career choices,” he teased, truly not one bit of annoyance in his tone. He truly didn’t mind it was just a bit of a shock, but it was just more of a reminder to keep his guards remaining securely up.
"Honestly, I’m just not too fond of the idea of working for the Ministry, especially after the past few years. I never really had an urge to work there. I thought about it back in school but after all the research I put into the different jobs available I just decided it wasn’t for me." A slight shrug pulled at his shoulders. "Maybe one of these days I’ll put more thought into what I’d truly like to do, but for now I enjoy what I do." As much as he had given this answer hundreds of times before it didn’t sound one bit rehearsed. "So what’s got you so concerned about the path I took, huh?" He asked with a light teasing tone to his voice.

A well stocked liquor cabinet is a perfect one to me. A house-elf who doesn't enjoy washing? Odd.
Tumblr media
My liquor cabinet is fine, well stocked in fact. Well, she knows to keep the main living areas tidy, including spare bedrooms and the office space. She’s good in that sense but she’s not a huge fan of washing.

"A year? Impressive. Most people don't stay at a job like that for long. It must be some sort of passion now," Ana commented. "Or just entertaining," she added. However, she did wonder that the man who claimed to be provoking arguments did nothing else with his time besides read and work. Odd...He didn't even mention seeing his friends much. It would be odd if he didn't considering how inseparable they'd all been. Ana just focused on the conversation. She stored away the information and decided to leave the analyzing for later, when she was home. She wasn't raised by wolves, she had manners and would not be rude to this new friend.
Ana simply smiled. "No, I do have a bit of a life outside of my work. I let it consume my life at times but I do make appearances in society," she stated proudly. Her position in society was a coveted one and Ana took pride in her status. "However, the men I spend most of my time with are a little odd. But they are good friends of mine," she rambled. Yes, the men in her life were odd but completely loyal. Their oddity stemmed from their position in society being compromised by the Ministry wanting them. The joys of being close to Death Eaters.
She sighed and looked around. Keeping the mind sharp. Everyone knew Remus Lupin was a book worm and the only Marauder who did seemed to put effort into his work. Surely he could have gotten a job at the Ministry if he wanted to. So why didn't he? Ana threw discretion out the window and decided to ask Remus that question. "So Lupin, if you were such a great student at Hogwarts, why didn't you take a Ministry job? You've got to have the skills for it, especially if you are concerned with keeping your mind sharp," Ana asked bluntly.
Call It Mystery or Anything || Remus & Anastacia
An eyebrow quirked at her mention of parental fighting, opting to not mention how they seemed to be talking about something completely different. Even if they weren’t friends or on the same side of the war that didn’t mean he was going to push something that seemed like not the greatest memory. Despite what he thought about himself thanks to what lived inside of him, he wasn’t a bad person. And neither did he push more talk about whatever she did besides a slight small appreciative grin.
When the attention was brought back to himself he inwardly groaned, but on all outside appearances seemed not to be bothered at all. A lifetime of suspicious glances and far too much time dedicated to the Order made him wary of most questions involving his life. “I’ve been at the pub for about.. a year now.” A light chuckle came from him as he shook his head, clearly amused about something. “Y’know I probably shouldn’t be telling you this,” he began with an eye roll at himself, “but I really don’t do anything besides work. I hope it won’t make you think I’m the pathetic old man that I actually am.”
He reached into the inside pocket of his light jacket, which was rather unnecessary with the uncharacteristically nice weather, and pulled out a thin book to wave slightly as if presenting some form of evidence unprofessionally. “I just read if I’m not at the pub or sleeping. Gotta keep the mind working, y’know,” he stated with a smile, tapping his temple with a long finger. “Learning something new everyday as they say. And you? I hope running into boring blokes who make weird jokes isn’t what you do to fill whatever time you have that’s free.”

How bad of a mess is your liquor cabinet? As to your house-elf, if you discipline her properly and lay out specific instructions she shouldn't slack off.

I can’t tidy with a wand that quickly. Besides, I have a house-elf. Here’s to hoping she hasn’t slacked off today.
