The amount of time and trial and error that happens between when you realize you need to change and when you actually start digging your heels in and making those changes is often literal years which is so crazy cause we can know something for so long and refuse to let it sink in when we know it will deeply disrupt our lifestyles and comforts/crutches so it just prevails for so much longer than we could ever imagine even when we realized so long ago what was wrong we just back pedal when we are scared until something just cracks and we feel ready
in the quiet he could hear jeremy breathing, and it was almost as comforting as the heat of another body this close to his. it thawed the parts of him the sun hadn't reached despite soaking up its glare all day.
OVER THE EDGE 𝘅 THE OUTSIDERS
Matt Dillon's first role, Richie White, was a precursor to his most famous role as Dallas Winston in the movie The Outsiders. Released in 1979, Over the Edge was a movie about children who were made to be delinquents in their suburban neighborhood and their rebellion when the one place they could go to to be teenagers is taken away. Matt Dillon's character, Richie, is a known troublemaker who meets his end after raising his gun to the dogged crooked cop, Sgt. Doberman. In The Outsiders, he meets a similar fate as Dallas Winston, gunned down in front of his delinquent friends after raising an unloaded gun to the cops.
