Update: I wrote this shortly after meeting my husband and we've now been together for 6 years, married for nearly 3. And god pernitting, there will never come a day where I do not feel the same way I did at 18.
there are nights when all we do is stare and touch and love. and tonight you looked at me like i hung the stars in the sky just for you. your fingers traced my lips, and connected the freckles on my face into intricate designs. and when your eyes started to droop, you pulled me closer, and quite suddenly i was wrapped into you wholly. and i don’t think that there will ever come a day where i do not love you.
