URGENT NOTICE FOR US DISCORD USERS!!!!!
There is an announcement floating around, and this one starts out basically the same way, but
I have included a more in-depth email template to send to Discord that is based on an arbitration opt-out sample letter from a legal office.
That way, your opt-out will hopefully be more watertight, as this is a legal issue. It may be overkill, and hopefully it is, but better safe than sorry, right?
âââââââ
Discord has decided to do an INCREDIBLY SHADY MOVE and change their TOS to include an arbitration clause (scroll down until you see the bolded heading titled âAgreement to Arbitrateâ)
To opt-out of the arbitration clause, email
with your notice that you do not wish to be a part of the clause. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you do this as soon as possible.
A possible email format to use (remember that this IS a legal opt-out) -
Email Subject: Opting Out of the Agreement to Arbitrate
To Whom It May Concern:
I, [legal name], am opting out of the Agreement to Arbitrate as outlined in Section 16 of your Discord Terms of Service Agreement, on [todayâs date].
I do not agree to the Agreement to Arbitrate for any accounts created by, or associated with, the email(s)/phone number(s) provided:
[list email(s)/phone number(s) attached to discord accounts]
This opt-out notice applies to any and all accounts that I, [legal name], have utilized in the past, am currently utilizing presently, and may choose to utilize and create in the future.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need any additional information from me to implement my opt-out request.
Finally, I ask that you send me confirmation that you have received and processed this opt-out notice.
Sincerely,
[legal name]
For more information, here is someone that breaks it down a little bit:

Published in 1865, "Alice" is a publishing sensation to this day.

@pureuncloudedbrow while Iâm sure they are, and itâs on my wishlist, thatâs not what I meant. I took pictures of these photographs from the specific book mentioned. I was giving that book credit because that was the specific book I gathered the information and photos from. I wasnât meaning that that book was the only place to find those photos.
When I give credit at the end of my photograph posts, itâs because I have directly taken from the books mentioned. Not because you canât find them elsewhere. Carrollâs works are all open source at this point, so you can find them in many places.
But I agree that Edward Wakelingâs works are some of the best for Carrollian studies! Theyâre just so expensive because of that. đ Even used!

Honestly it baffles me when the Cheshire cat gets made into a villain when he's like the nicest to Alice in the first book, while on the other hand portray the mad hatter as "Alice's best friend âşď¸đ" when he's an ass to her for most of their meetings
YES EXACTLY. I am going to pull out sources for the amount of BS interpretations make up
The compilation of Alice and Hatterâs beefÂ
The table was a large one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it: âNo room! No room!â they cried out when they saw Alice coming. âThereâs plenty of room!â said Alice indignantly, and she sat down in a large arm-chair at one end of the table.
âYour hair wants cutting,â said the Hatter. He had been looking at Alice for some time with great curiosity, and this was his first speech.
âYou should learn not to make personal remarks,â Alice said with some severity; âitâs very rude.â
Alice had been looking over his shoulder with some curiosity. âWhat a funny watch!â she remarked. âIt tells the day of the month, and doesnât tell what oâclock it is!â
âWhy should it?â muttered the Hatter. âDoes your watch tell you what year it is?â
âOf course not,â Alice replied very readily: âbut thatâs because it stays the same year for such a long time together.â
âWhich is just the case with mine,â said the Hatter.
âTake some more tea,â the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
âIâve had nothing yet,â Alice replied in an offended tone, âso I canât take more.â
âYou mean you canât take less,â said the Hatter: âitâs very easy to take more than nothing.â
âNobody asked your opinion,â said Alice.
âWhoâs making personal remarks now?â the Hatter asked triumphantly.
âReally, now you ask me,â said Alice, very much confused, âI donât thinkââ
âThen you shouldnât talk,â said the Hatter.
THERE. THATS THE COMP OF HATTER AND ALICES BEEF FROM THE FIRST BOOK. These two are not friends they were tolerating eachother at best until the last bit from Hatter that offended Alice so much that she leftÂ
And Alice literally refers to the Cheshire Cat as a friend
âWho are you talking to?â said the King, going up to Alice, and looking at the Catâs head with great curiosity.
âItâs a friend of mineâa Cheshire Cat,â said Alice: âallow me to introduce it.â
By the time she had caught the flamingo and brought it back, the fight was over, and both the hedgehogs were out of sight: âbut it doesnât matter much,â thought Alice, âas all the arches are gone from this side of the ground.â So she tucked it away under her arm, that it might not escape again, and went back for a little more conversation with her friend.

I love Aliceâs Adventures in Wonderland but I loathe how edgy subcultures have turned it into some one dimensional thing associated with psychedelics and other drugs.

Did you know that May fourth was the day Alice was in Wonderland?
In the book, Alice mentions that she hopes that the March Hare wouldnât be as mad since it was May, and then later, when the Hatter asks her what day of the month it is, Alice tells him itâs the fourth.
May fourth also happens to be Alice Pleasance Liddellâs birthday, who was the inspiration for the Alice books!Â
So, forget Star Wars day, May fourth belongs to Carrollians!Â

Hi! Sorry if Iâm bothering you (Iâm new here dealing with tumblr) but I just loved all your content, cause of course Iâm a huge fan of Alice in wonderland. Could you tell me why do you love wonderland (and all the things related to it) as well?
Youâre not bothering me (and thank you so much!!), but I donât really know how to answer that?
I just.... love Alice.
I know Iâve loved Wonderland and the Looking-Glass World and all its wacky creatures since before I can remember. I love the books and how much is hidden within them. I love learning more and more about what seems to be a simple weird fairytale. I love seeing art, literature, and film inspired by Carrollâs world.
Itâs all just so interesting to me. I actually collect books in relation to Alice and Lewis Carroll. I especially love getting editions of Alice with different artists. I currently have almost 40 books in relation to Alice and Carroll!
Sorry if thatâs not the answer you were looking for!

What Would Alice Do?
Life is Not a Competition
âJust so!â cried the Red Queen. âFive times as warm, and five times as cold - just as Iâm five times as rich as you are, and five times as clever!âÂ
Alice sighed and gave it up.
