in non-depressing news i finally finished the first sock of the pair i'm making my grandma. i'd probably be done with the entire pair by now but i had to rip out the first sock and entirely redo it.

the shape looks a lil weird but that's because i see my grandma's ankles get swollen sometimes so i decided to make the ankle part two stitches bigger than the foot part.

i started my first pair of actual fingering weight socks and i love how those look, but i think worsted weight socks will be my go-to for gifts. they work up so quickly and, living where i live, they're almost guaranteed to fit under a warm pair of boots or as a pair of slippers.

now taking bets on whether i'm getting a stress related ulcer or the like or if my anxiety is just demolishing my body with painful symptoms that will vanish as soon as the anxiety does (no idea when that will happen, my life is fucked)
