Nicole Lee was born on April 1, 2002 in Toronto, Canada to Angie Lee, a music teacher, and Joshua Lee, a baker. She is the middle child of an older brother, Daniel, and a younger sister, Lily. When she was twelve-years-old, her mother was diagnosed with leukemia. Her mother was laid off and her father’s job could not provide for a family of five and medical bills. With the encouragement from their family, the family moved to South Korea to have extra in person support.
As a loner with only a few friends in school, she didn’t have very much of a social life and mostly worked under the table jobs as a waitress to help pay for her mother’s medical bills. Her only solace from reality was music. Nicole, now going by Nakyung, was street casted by Blockberry Creative when she was 14. Despite her parents thinking it was sketchy and a cult was trying to recruit her, she went to the audition with her older brother, Daniel, when she was supposed to be at school and was accepted.
On April 14, 2018, Nakyung released her solo single album titled “Nakyung” with the title track “Sugarcoat.”
In 2023, after the dismissal of member Chuu, Nakyung terminated her contract with Blockberry Creative. She then signed a contract with Delphi Entertainment and debuted as a soloist on November 17, 2023 with “Really Like U!”

LOONA’s Nakyung signed an exclusive contract with Delphi Entertainment.
On April 1st, Delphi Entertainment revealed Nakyung had signed an exclusive contract with the label after there had been multiple reports of fans seeing Nakyung near Delphi Entertainment’s building, as well as being seen with GIRL TALK’s Yuri.
Along with fellow LOONA members, Nakyung terminated her contract with Blockberry Creative earlier in the year after she had filed a lawsuit following the removal of member Chuu.
As previously reported, 5 other members of LOONA, Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Gowon, and Olivia Hye, also requested an injunction against Blockberry Creative, but they lost their case.

NCT XS is a fictional female sub-unit of the co-ed group NCT under SM Entertainment consisting of Vane, Sein, Jia, Soyi, Misun, Jini, and Chaein. The original line-up consisting of Vane, Sein, Soyi, Misun, and Haewon debuted on March 14, 2018 with the song Girlfriend off of the studio album NCT 2018. In 2020, Haewon was silently removed from the group with no statement from SM Entertainment. Jia, Jini, and Chaein were added to the lineup in 2020 with the comeback WHO’S THERE?

Chaesol grew up as the only girl with three older brothers and a single father. Often, she was left out and ridiculed if she tried to join in with their sports talk and vehicle talk. Her mother had left right after she was born and has a new family but never tries to get into contact with her, but neither has Chaesol, who only knows this because she stalked her Facebook page.
As a result of her homelife, she often reacted out in retaliation at school and in public for attention at home, even if she would be in trouble. She was a menace at school, barely bothering to do her school work and only ever managing to pass because she did everything last minute. She often bothered her classmates, not many of them liking her due to how she talked and treated them. She targeted different students, knowing this would get her school’s attention and in return, her father’s attention.
After finding her diary where she spoke of how her family treated her and in return how she treated her peers, the school counselor took interest in her and tried to take her under her wing, going so far as to tutor her after hours and try to get her into hobbies to distract her from her home life. It was difficult, but the woman managed to distract her with idols and actors. If she wasn’t interested in school enough, she could be interested in something that gave her a distraction. She just didn’t know how far her obsession would get her.
After that, she became obsessed with becoming an idol— wanting to be just like Taeyeon and CL. If she couldn’t get her father and brothers’ attentons, she’d get the entire world's attention. Her dancing wasn’t the best, but she supposed she could rap, and she could train her vocals.
Chaesol only auditioned for smaller companies, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of the big companies. She auditioned for companies like Fantiago and Yuehua but only managed to get into ODE. The trainers at ODE got onto her hard while she was a trainee, it was honestly the worst time of her life— they were even more mean than her brothers and father. Yet, she continued and slowly became better at dancing and rapping. Her vocals were okay at best, but she was pretty and good at rapping.
In 2017, she was the second to last announced into the line-up and debuted later in the year as SUGAR CRUSH’s maknae and lead rapper. If only she knew how her past would come back to get her.

Nayoung is the only child of the actors Choi Donghyun and Lee Eunhye. She has always grown up in the spotlight, and at the age of five had small acting parts in commercials. Netizens adored her from the moment she was on television, her adorable looks even from a young age captured attention.
When she became older and a teenager, her positive feedback quickly turned into negative feedback when there were photos captured of her kissing a boy at a party and underage drinking. Many netizens called her nasty names for it, going so far as calling her a slut yet there was just one picture of her kissing one boy but their excuse was “if there’s one, who knows how many more?”
Nayoung was pulled out of school after this scandal and wasn’t to be seen again until 2016, when she had another role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. Rumors flew around that her parents had to pay for her to have a role in the drama.
In 2017, she was the last to be added to the line-up of SUGAR CRUSH. After this, even more attention gathered to the rumor that her parents paid her way into the group. Despite this negative attention, she was the center and main vocalist of SUGAR CRUSH. Even if she had been paid into the group, her vocals and the attention she brought to the SUGAR CRUSH girls were a good enough reason to keep her in the group.

Jinah grew up in the care of her aunt and uncle due to her parents passing away when she was only an infant. Her aunt was a dance instructor and quickly from a young age, Jinah was infatuated with dancing, just as much as her aunt was.
When she was seven, she joined her aunt’s dancing classes. Her aunt was the one who suggested that she auditioned for idol companies later in the future but she didn’t have to as a JYP scout scouted her for her appearance and she joined JYP as a trainee in 2014. She was in the original line-up for TWICE but left JYP Entertainment in 2015 for unknown reasons. She refuses to speak about her time under JYP. It was also around this time that she found out her aunt and uncle weren’t really related to her and that her parents weren’t dead, they just didn’t want her. It crushed her to know that mostly everything about her parents she had been told was a lie fabricated by her aunt and uncle.
She joined ODE Entertainment in 2015, shortly after she left YG, when they were doing trainee auditions. As she was a trainee, she pushed everyone and everything away to focus on her time as a trainee and to debut. It became her number one goal, going so far as to drop out of high school despite her aunt and uncle’s dislike for it. Her aunt grew to regret suggesting her to audition for idol companies as she never really thought she’d make it this far. She seldom talked to her aunt and uncle, only focusing on debuting and making it her chance for her birth parents to see her and see how good she was doing.
In 2016, she was revealed to be in the line-up for SUGAR CRUSH and was ecstatic. Random people started to recognize her on the street all the time and she loved it. In 2017, she debuted in SUGAR CRUSH as the main rapper and lead dancer.

Misa keeps her family life private to the public, only once posting an older picture of her and her father when she was a child for Father’s Day, showing how close the two are. She’s stated that she has two younger brothers.
What’s unknown to the public is that her father was murdered in a robbery gone wrong. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Her mother, to put it lightly as possible, went crazy after her father’s death. She’d fall into abusive antics, most of which Misa would take the fall for so her brothers wouldn’t get hurt. She’d call her all sorts of names, and as she grew older and into her looks more, her hatred also added jealousy into it. She’d call her a useless slut and that she’d only be good at opening her legs.
Misa tried her best to live through this, and tried to get help as much as she could but quietly, even using websites to talk to someone. But no one came to their help. So she tried to get out of it in other ways, and took evidence of the bruises and blood and recorded her mother yelling at her.
By the time she was 18, she had graduated high school and went to court with her evidence that her mother was an unfit mother. It didn’t take long for the jury to call her mother guilty. Since Misa was 18, she could live wherever she wanted while her brothers went and stayed with their uncle in Busan.
Misa could finally do something without her mother looming over her. She was scouted during her job, the man giving her all sorts of compliments. She thought it was a scam and just an excuse to flirt with her when her co-worker caught sight of the business card and told her what it really was.
She decided to give it a chance and auditioned, somehow getting in with her dancing skills— which she admittedly always have even though she never went to dancing classes. She would dance along to songs in her room and follow along the steps of dance tutorials on YouTube. She wouldn’t say she was perfect at it, but she was good. And she got better with training. She saved up all her money from her job to make it to South Korea.
She trained for almost four years, eventually becoming one of the girls in the line-up for SUGAR CRUSH, ODE’s first girl group in five years. Once ODE announced her to the world, her visuals grasped the attention of many in Korea and she quickly became a fan favorite. However, when vocal lesson videos of SUGAR CRUSH came out as pre-debut videos, she gathered just as many antis with them targeting her vocals and rapping skills, calling it weak and quiet compared to the other girls.
Despite this, her voice has managed to grow more powerful in the following years but hasn’t had a chance to showcase them as she gets the fewest lines in the songs but always a center and main part for her main leader position.
In 2017, she debuted in SUGAR CRUSH as the visual and main dancer.

Leila was born in Florida, United States, before her family had to move back home to Korea with her grandfather when she was twelve. It was hard for Leila to adjust, as all she knew was English and she had moved to a whole new country to live with a grandfather she’d also never met before.
As the oldest of three girls and two boys, it was expected of her to take care of everything left over as her parents dealt with her sick grandfather and bills. Sometimes, her parents minds would be so forgetful they’d forget to get food for their children and Leila couldn’t go to their grandmother for help or even any of their neighbors as her Korean still wasn’t good. In desperate times, Leila would go to markets, keep her head down under a hoodie and steal enough food for her siblings. She hated the feeling she got after stealing, and got a job on the side to make sure it never happened again. It was illegal for her to be working, but neither her boss or her would tell.
A few years later, while Leila worked her ass off trying to keep up with her school work and job, one of her younger sisters, Hope, wanted her to try out for an idol company with her so she wouldn’t be alone. It wasn’t that Leila was worried she’d embarrass herself, she knew she was a decent singer, it was the fact that Hope chose her.
Leila and Hope both tried out for JYP Entertainment and ODE Entertainment. They both got denied for JYP, but only one got accepted at ODE. You can assume who it was. As young as she was, Hope was incredibly jealous and upset that her older sister who seemed so perfect all the time got accepted and she didn’t even plan on going to the audition in the first place. That’s where her hate stemmed for Leila from.
Despite her worries, her parents assured her that they’d be fine if Leila became a trainee and that she should do something for herself once. Her mother had just gotten a promotion at work, anyway. And so Leila quit her job and began juggling training and school work instead.
It didn’t take long for Leila to debut in SUGAR CRUSH in 2017 as their leader and lead vocalist.

Eunji was born in Seoul, South Korea to a single father. Her mother didn't want the responsibility and gave her up to her father as soon as she was born. Her father did everything for her, even if it meant working extra shifts and getting a third job. He was rarely home, so she stayed with her grandparents a lot but she adored her father.
In 2016, she wanted to help her dad out as much as possible so she got a job along with continuing her school work. At her job, she was scouted by ODE Entertainment and denied their offer. However, they somehow found her number and kept bothering her until she finally asked her father about what he thought. His answer: "If that's what makes you happy, then do it."
Eunji decided to try it out, and if she didn't like it, she'd leave. But she was torn as soon as she became a trainee, she loved the other trainees but hated how the people in power treated and starved them. In return, she developed an eating disorder but continued to power on through training.
In 2018, she debuted in GIRL TALK as the face of the group and lead rapper. In 2019, she threatened to tell the company of Vera and Thomas Edwards' relationship, but instead, she was the one who got put on hiatus and then later kicked out of GIRL TALK.
Ever since, she does not have a social media presence anymore and rarely talks to the girls anymore, despite how much it hurts her to. She has since went to a treatment center for her eating disorder and has been doing much better.

Sora was born in Austin, Texas as a surrogate baby. Her mother couldn't have children so her best friend became her surrogate. As a child, she always wanted to be some sort of famous person. When visiting South Korea with her parents and aunt, who was her biological mother, she decided to audition for a company just for fun. She didn't expect to be accepted.
Sora had to beg her parents to allow her to be an actress, which they eventually did when her aunt said she'd stay in Korea with her and keep her safe. She was in Reply 1988 as Hyeri's younger sister and Train to Busan as Soo-an(which was where she gained her international fame.) In 2017, she began to train for rapping to be an idol. She was supposed to debut as a soloist, but the company decided to put her in a girl group at the last minute.
In 2018, Sora debuted in GIRL TALK as their center, main rapper, and sub vocal. Vera and Sora share the title of most popular member in GIRL TALK.

Rosie was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a lawyer and a doctor. From a young age, her parents told her they expected her to keep up with her school work and become either a lawyer or a doctor in the future. However, Rosie was fascinated by her culture and admired many K-pop groups, wanting to be just like them. She loved the idea of fame and glory, and barely having to work for it.
When she told her parents of wanting to visit her aunt and uncle in Korea during the summer, they allowed her to, but as long as she studied diligently for the next school year. She lied, promising to but knew that was not her intention at all. As soon as she got to Korea, she auditioned for SM Entertainment and was a trainee there from 2016 to 2017. She managed to convince her parents to let her stay with her aunt and uncle full time, because her parents were very rarely home anyway.
She was revealed as a SM Rookie and somehow, her parents were told about this, and it wasn't by her aunt and uncle, who supported her. They demanded she quit and she refused to, but due to the negative attention she was getting, SM Entertainment dropped her. Her parents were going to come by plane and take her back to America, but Rosie tore up her passport and threatened her parents to reveal every dirty little secret they had, including the malpractice her father committed that she overheard when she was younger. They allowed her to stay, but she outed him for his malpractice anyway. After that, they never spoke again unless it was threats.
In 2019, she joined ODE Entertainment and in 2020, she debuted in GIRL TALK and took over Eunji's lead rapper position.

Jiayi was born in Harbin, China, as an only child to her parents. Her favorite thing to do as a child was to sing karaoke with her parents and play any physical sport she could, but her favorite was soccer. She joined choir as a child up until she had to choose between choir and soccer. She chose soccer and was on her school's girl soccer team for years, up until her first year in senior secondary school. Her component got angry and kicked her in her legs until she was down on the ground, able to hear a horrifying crack.
The kicks to her legs shattered her right leg in two places and subsequently ended her time as a soccer player. She was devastated and her parents tried their best to help her with her depression up until her mother's untimely death in 2015. Her mother had died in a car accident with a drunk driver hitting her head-on, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
With her mother no longer there to support her and her father falling into depression rather quickly, her grandparents moved in to help take care of both of the two. Her grandfather was the one to suggest taking up singing again, as it was something that once made her happy and something she did with her mother a lot. It would bring her comfort, knowing her mother would always be with her. And with that, she auditioned for ODE Entertainment in 2017 and became a trainee.
In 2018, she debuted in GIRL TALK as their visual and main vocal.

Vera was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in a rather rich neighborhood. It was a gated community, and she grew up playing with the children of known celebrities as they were friends with her parents. At the age of nine, she became a child model after a modelling company in America scouted her.
In a video that went viral, she was dancing and was scouted by ODE Entertainment in 2016. A man by the name of Thomas Edwards was her personal trainer, helping her become a better rapper. He was always with her at all times, even going so far as to come to her parents' dinners. When she was eighteen, he finally made his move and tried to ask her out, saying she 'owed' him. He tried to turn her against her members and her family, the situation going bad as even fans noticed the hostility between Vera and the other girls.
In 2019, Eunji threatened to tell the company of the forbidden relationship and in return, Vera told the company very compelling lies about Eunji, that put her on a hiatus and then later kicked out of GIRL TALK.
Vera debuted in GIRL TALK as their leader, lead dancer, and sub rapper on March 25, 2018. Vera and Sora share the title for most popular member of GIRL TALK.

Lai Lihua was born as an only child on April 17, 2000 in Taipei, Taiwan to fashion designer Lai Yanjun and model Fan Xinyi. As a child, her father would always be gone and her mother would be home but ‘busy’ so that left her to her own devices. This is where she found her love for singing and acting like she was a singer on stage.
It came as a surprise to her parents when she demanded to be in vocal lessons, but not to the staff, who took care of her the most. Her parents quickly complied, as they always did and thought giving her whatever she wanted would make it all better. She tried getting into Chinese traditional dance, but she ended up twisting her ankle and that ended any efforts of hers to dance.
After becoming obsessed with Girls Generation and TWICE, she made sure to audition online for multiple companies. She only got into one— Delphi Entertainment. Two days later, she was on a plane to South Korea alone.
She has since starred in the background of multiple music videos for GIRL TALK, HAVOAX, and SUGAR CRUSH. She has featured on a song with XOXO’s Eunmi, LAW.
In 2024, it was announced she was one of the contestants for MNET’s upcoming female survival show, Fresh Produce.
