Was wondering about any updates to the sugar daddy Aemond rewrite? 👀

Oh my beloved Feelings Sold Separately ... I'm on my eleventh draft now, I have changed some bits and added new bits to make the story more "cohesive" and actually make sure the characters aren't just random, I want them to feel cohesive. I've taken a month break to just step back from writing it, because I'll get like fifteen to twenty chapters in and then start over again, I think I'm just over thinking things. So hopefully this break has given me the ability to not take it so seriously. I promise it's in the works, trust me I love this story so much and want to get it back up and running and back out there, it's just also eating away at my creativity so it's a weird thing to really explain. I hope to have something soon though! I really do, and I want everyone to know I am working on it, like all the time, minus this little break I took!

Whoever decided to make two separate trailers for Team Green and Team Black deserves a raise. Like how cool is that. I have never seen anything like this, i LOVED this.

They didn’t just make one trailer that would’ve definitely left one side disappointed, but for once they made an actual cool decision. I loved all the parallels, it’s so fucking genius I’m sorry. You can criticize the HotD creators for literally anything but this double trailer idea is amazing

the whole point of this post is talk about how y’all feel the moral obligation to defend one side to the death, just so that you feel a little better liking them.

THEY ARE ALL WAR CRIMINALS, they all make bad deadly decisions, they also all have good qualities, they all have their own trauma and reasons for what they do. that’s ONCE AGAIN the whole point of the story.

it is so annoying seeing both sides go so head to head over little things, or calling real, REAL PEOPLE horrible things for liking the opposite FICTIONAL side.

again, i understand needing to call people out, reasonably, for takes that are wrong. i also understand liking one side more than the other. what i don’t understand is actively hurting people over simple sentences like “i like this team more”.

we are reading/watching a fictional war, we do not need to start a war over fiction. CALM DOWN, chill out, and SCROLL PAST, if you don’t like something.

“team black this” “team green that” i SWEAR those who pick teams aren’t “loyal to one side” seeing as y’all think more about those on the other “team” and how much you hate them than you think about how good your own team is.

i’m 20, and sure i have been on this app since before i should have, but i am still relatively new in the tumblr fandom space and even i know the “don’t like it, scroll past” rule and i don’t mean “don’t stand up against really shitty takes” because some people need to be put in their place, I GET THAT, but like not everything needs a “we team ‘blank’ are better than the your team because of this random moral code i came up with after you posted a one paragraph explanation on some NON IMPORTANT thing”

If you are still arguing about "team black vs team green" by the end of House of the Dragon/Fire and Blood, then you have completely missed the point.

LITERALLY! i can understand enjoying breaking down both sides and having a favourite due to both sides different conflicts, morals, family structures, etc … but picking sides is not at ALL the main goal here, the point of the show is letting us see both sides strengths and weaknesses and also allowing us to see that both sides are inherently WRONG and unjustified in the majority of their actions.

i think the book does a better job at showing just how brutal both sides can be, and i fear people have lost sight of the whole “everyone’s bad, we aren’t picking favourites off of who’s the nicest or most moral, pick your favourite war criminal and sadly you have to stand behind their crimes” side of things.

like no side is perfect, no character is perfect, (that’s the whole point) and no amount of arguing with random people online in such hostile ways is going to wash your favourite person of their sins

while there’s often discourse amongst aemond targaryen girlies … i do love that one single picture of him silences the opposing voices and we all collectively go “look at him!!!” for 24 hours

i think the sansa, arya, joffrey, and the poor butcher son’s fight, and subsequent “trail” plus death of an innocent boy, (in the second episode of the whole show) compared to aemond, and his cousins fight and subsequent “trail” is extremely interesting.

first we have the power dynamic, aemond and joffrey both have more power than their “attacker”.

then there’s the “shunned” mother of the attacked, who is basically hated by her husband and not at all someone he cares for, and their lost fight over their child’s “virtue”.

thirdly, we have the “called upon” older sibling, sansa and aegon are both asked to validate the attacked’s alibi/story.

we also have the parent of the “attacker” pleading with the king, saying “this isn’t you” in regards to the possible punishment being called for by his wife, ITS SO INTERESTING DUDE

anyways … is there a similarity between the two? yes. are there many differences though? also yes … welp … that’s it, i just had to get my thoughts out, as jumbled as they are :)

as someone who was nicknamed trip (because my tourettes made me trip all day everyday for a while there) i can promise you, you do everything in your power to loose the disability based nickname, fictional land or not,🫡

honestly, if i lived in westeros and was a disabled person that was nicknamed by my disability, i.e. aemond "one eye" larys "clubfoot" tyrion "the imp", i too would kill a family member so i can get that kinslayer title instead

also make the cast actually diverse and work on taking out the blatant racism littered within her work and work with the indigenous group steph used and “abused” and allow their story to be well rounded … and boom, an amazing story
