Sort of a Dance AU, I guess?

Stephen and Tony are both excellent dancers and often dance together while Loki can only watch them from afar as he never learned midgardians dance (and never has really been fond of dancing anyway). Despite the fact he despises Stephen as he's a rival for Tony's heart he can't deny that his talent for dance clearly advantages him. He would never admit it though, and he keeps affirming loudly that he would easily surpass Stephen if only he knew how to dance. Taking Loki at his word, Stephen proposes to teach him how to dance so he can prove it.

Loki accepts it out of bravado but one private dance lesson after the other, he ends up progressively falling for Stephen. And when Stephen finally announces to him that it was the last dance lesson and that he taught him everything he knew, Loki feels incredibly empty and sad.

Confused, he open up to Natasha telling her that Stephen took a surprisingly important place in his thoughts but without replacing Tony. He can't understand why the both of them are now constantly in his mind.

Natasha thinks for a moment before answering carefully. At the Ballet of Paris where she used to dance, despite the fact that she usually danced alone and that knowing how to dance in sync with several partners needed a lot of skills and communication, it still was an intense and beautiful experience that she never regretted having. There is no partner limit, when dancing as well as in matters of heart.

Loki is left thoughtful for a few days before he finally decides to invite Stephen and Tony to dance with him. What better method to prove to Stephen that he's a better dancer than by having more dance partners? The fact they're all the partners of the others is only a detail…......
