A promise.

Hi there, Its been a while since my last post...now I need to talk someting about a promise I made to myself. This days are very sad and melancolic because almost a year my Inspiration Monty Oum has been pass away... This take me down 6 months into a silently depression. My art skills pass near to zero. Now, in my thoughts in that time born a idea and that idea now is a pillar in my life and career and that is a promise to my family, friends myself and Monty Oum. I promise to myself to give all my effort to be an animator a great animator...And try to reach Monty's work quality or surpass him, to make my dreams true. (Maybe this is too rude but this is what I need) Monty make more than a be a great person, artist or animator. He put a mark on thousand of people life, I am one of these people. Monty teach me to fight againts the time to make my dreams a reality. I not gonna break that promise. Thanks to read one of thousand of stories.

The Monty Oum Project

February 1st, for the Roosterteeth community, is a very sad day. It is the anniversary of the death of Monty Oum, rockstar animator and an endless well of creativity. Monty was an inspiration to fans everywhere, as someone who spent his life doing what he loved, and through doing that, built a career and a life.

So, in his memory, we’ve decided to commemorate Monty on February 1st by making it a day of people following their passions and showing their creative ability, whatever it may be.

On February 1st, the Monty Oum Project wants you to start something new.

Write the first page of the story you have in your head, start the webcomic you’ve been thinking about, make a video and post it on youtube, start coding a game, building something new, create an art piece just for yourself.

Without thinking about the time constraints or whether you think you have the skill, start a project that you want to start, and remember that the effort you put into anything transcends yourself.

Make February 1st a day of creation, in any way you can.
