Guinevere theory … spoilers below
I think one of the hooded figures MC saw in her visions is actually her.
She’s hooded in both parts of the tapestry that appears at the opening of every chapter.
She sees two figures in the vision: one looming over Arthur and Lancelot during their battle, the other across the way.
She’s on the side where they are fighting (you can see Excalibur in the ground)
And little dude across the river … I think it’s Merlin.
Look at the robe.
We don’t know if these hooded shadow figures are good or bad, she just assumes they must be bad because they’re creepy hooded figures in smoke and fire, so why wouldn’t she?
What could this mean if I’m right? I have absolutely no idea. What I do know is that this book is consuming me and making me lose my damn mind 🙃 and also that I am ridiculously in love with Arthur Pendragon and I want to wrap him up like a burrito and protect him at all costs.

I get what you mean. However, I think this odd because it implies that somebody has been watching MC. And in my MC’s case, she’s been flirting with Lancelot for a while, and has been consistently choosing them over Arthur/Artura.
And I thought it very nice that Arthur/Artura have taken notice of their proximity, cause in some choices books when you have to choose between LI’s sometimes one of them doesn’t even take notice. It’s as if you didn’t chose somebody else or cheated on them or something like that.
Either way, it’s someone that has been watching MC closely, cause that’s the first time whether MC chose Lancelot or not, thar Lancelot’s loosen up and they got caught… so… let’s see.

BUT WHY??? So the scene where Lancelot confesses his feelings also happens, and he doesn’t leave after MC says she loves Arthur/Artura? And they catch MC and Lancelot together and assume she’s cheating on Arthur/Artura?
It doesn’t make much sense the infidelity accusation when she says she loves Arthur/Artura. They should’ve come up with another excuse, Idk?

I was also sad when I saw Crimes of Passion is a single LI book, but COP is amazing. Hands down one of the best works PB has ever done and the storyline is even more gripping than the romance, but I love how MC and Trystan’s relationship develop slowly but surely. Trystan is so multifaceted that you easily forget (and forgive) this is a single LI book and starts craving more scenes with them.
This book is absolute perfection and I will defend it until the very end.
In the correct, better timeline, these two would be LIs alongside Trystan

I’m really not a fan of Surrender, but since I am a VIP, why not play it? This chapter has made it painfully obvious Reagan DOESN’T need to behave the way he does. Sloan is funny, caring and STILL a capable Dom. So why does MC need to be stuck with the mood-stuck-in-the-ass-but-hot-and-gorgeous-cause-I-obviously-chose-the-asian-version Reagan?
I know PB is doing it for the sake of drama and all, but there is other ways to stir drama instead of giving us an indecisive ass of a LI.
Anyways, why does PB INSIST on inserting Nathan Sterling EVERY-FUCKING-WHERE???

Setting aside the (valid) debate over VIP and other issues Choices has....Crimes of Passion is really, really good. The story is intriguing, the writing sharp and funny, the characters could easily fall into hokey stereotypes but they don't. They're all interesting and complex. The dynamic between MC and Trystan is really fun. I haven't been this excited for story updates in a while.

I just played chapter 7 of Crimes of Passion and I just can’t get enough of this book! It’s seriously A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I don’t have the screenshots just yet cause I WILL play a second time (obviously), but it’s just damn perfect!
Crimes of Passion has got action, a great storyline, intriguing mystery, compelling character and a slow burn romance to DIE FOR. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Trystan.
I seriously can’t wait for the wide release of this book. PB has been giving us some so-so books, but Crimes of Passion and Wake the Dead are top notch. PB has outdone themselves with this book.
I haven’t felt this thrilled about a book since Blades and Distant Shores!

Eli!
I have to admit chapters 10 and 11 finally gave a little romance and I like what we got, but I feel like the build up could be better. Like it’s a slow burn, but it just feels like nothing is happening, a good slow burn should have pining and longing. I remember how I (and the entire fandom) was ready to combust waiting for the 30 diamond scene with Antony or the whole build-up with Drake in TRR (they ruined him in later books' but I don’t think there are many scenes that beat the train scene and “you are all my temptations”), the problem with Wake the Dead is they aren’t building it, except the occasional diamond scene and there is so much potential and it feels like they are wasting it.
This was a good first kiss though:
And then he pulls back and it is just done and I didn’t hate it, because it was in character, but I feel like they could have done a little more?
Although chapter 11 did hit harder romancing Eli and this goodbye kiss
I really like Eli and I think with a little more effort, he could be one of my favorite LIs in the app, I am just not sure they are giving him that effort and it makes me sad.

It’s been a while since my last post here. And GOSH, I’m SO IN LOVE with Crimes of Passion and Trystan Thorne.
The storyline is engaging, the characters believable and the LI is a breath of fresh air. Everyone knows I’m NOT a fan of single LI’s books. I get bored easily and I think that since AVSP and Simon/Ava we didn’t get a single LI book with an interesting LI.
But finally we have a book that is GOOD, it has me at the edge of my seat at each chapter and has an amazing LI that has me swooning.
What’s more: it’s impossible not to love these three. We’re still in chapter 3 and I already head over heels with them.
I’d say PB has been making some not so great decisions with their books (TNA 2 is a mistake. Shipwrecked was so so. And do I even need to say anything about Surrender?) But when they get it right, THEY DO GET IT RIGHT.
Under the cut, I’ll be posting some prints from interactions with LI just to show how awesome they are (I’ve chosen a male LI, but I’ll provably go with a female LI when playing the second time around). I can’t wait until it’s released for everyone!
