the people who read this story but never retain anything it tries to tell, the non-izuocha shippers and the detractors who either lost interest or never were interested will never acknowledge this, though. these two have been helping each other from the very beginning and it goes beyond just one physically saving the other or raw power. they’re not just friends who care for one another, they’re basically beacons of hope for not just each other but for the world around them. anything to the contrary would be a misrepresentation of their relationship.
Deku to Ochako - chapter 8
The first time Deku was able to effectively stand up to Bakugo. By changing the meaning of his derogatory name, she gave him not just more confidence in himself and his goals to become a hero by doing his best, but power over a name that’s been hurting him for years now, to the point that he now claims it as his own and took that power away from his bully. Like he said later in chapter 45:
That change was so much more significant to him than she realized I think until right then. He even compared it to the Copernican Revolution—which is the shift of understanding from a geocentric galaxy to a heliocentric one and a scientific discovery that changed the world—she changed his world so gently, yet so profoundly (And his frequent complement of her is to call her “bright”💕)

A test for some thing that I have been plotting for a while. I’m hoping to have a proof of concept completed by January, but for now have this test that I whipped together.
The final result will not be fully animated. It’ll be somewhere between animation and motion comic (think Cascade era Homestuck).
