Switch - Part 3
"Did someone mention Jon?" Marco Kreuss approached them. "He hasn't showed himself at all today." But I'm right here, idiot. Mariel and her friends laughed a bit and she brought me closer to Marco. "No. We were talking about my kitty which followed me to school," she explained. "So you named him after Jon?" Marco pressed, wearing a teasing grin. Mariel flushed and averted her gaze and defensively replied, "That's nonsense. Coincidence, I tell you. Coincidence." "Whatever you say," Marco acquiesced. "This sorta reminds me of Mary and her little lamb that followed her to school one day..." Ariel Mill sounded, raising her point. "We all know that nursery rhyme. There's no need to repeat it." Everyone waved her off. I brought their attention back to me with a meow. "Speaking of which, this little guy must be hungry." Mariel cooed at me fondly. I felt a bit weirded out, but the way she treated me brought warm feelings in my chest. I still believe she can turn me back to normal. But how do I even begin with telling her my predicament to begin with? --- Their classes resumed, and Mariel left me to explore the campus by myself. I wasn't able to do anything the whole time I waited for their dismissal. However, I managed to preoccupy myself by scribbling a couple of notes on a yellow pad a student left on a bench. I needed to get the message across somehow. Before I got to finishing the note, Mariel had already found me. She firmly carried me, and I noticed a light shift of her mood. Probably Exam results had just been returned. Or something like that. Is there something wrong? What I wanted to say only came out as a feeble meow, but it was enough to make Mariel look at me and smile a small smile. I looked into her eyes intently, and she proceeded to sigh in my face. We were now a block away from her dormitory. Mariel stopped in her steps and started rubbing her eyes. Are you crying? She looked at me through her moist eyes and mustered a small smile. Hey, what happened? She continued walking until we finally made it into the dorm compound. She gently put me down on the ground and she sat beside me and buried her face in her hands. I heard some stifled sobs coming from her. Why are you crying? "I hate this, Jon," she murmured, hugging her knees afterwards. She raised her head to the heavens. "Why me?" I wanted to ask the same thing. -TBC-

Switch - Part 1
For some reason, I woke up one morning and found myself in a cat’s body. I, too, was unable to believe it at first but I soon found myself troubled by more pressing issues. We had an important exam on Friday, which was ultimately five days from now. I was also hungry and had not much sense of time. I had no fucking idea where I was. My third problem was solved, however, when a familiar petite girl strode past me. My feline instincts got the better of me and I ended up dashing to her high-pitched call. Mariel Rivera smiled at me and seemingly recognized me with her greeting. “Oh, good morning, Jon.” It seemed almost absolutely normal for her to call me that. I tried to speak up, but the only thing I managed was a measly ‘meow’. She seemed amused and proceeded towards the gates. I was apparently at her dorm, and given how much of a hurry she seemed to be in, there was probably some 10 minutes left before 7am, our first class. Then I wondered what I had to do to attend class. I chased after her outside the gate. I tried calling after her in the distance and I was able to catch her attention. She turned back to me, looking worried. She ran to me and picked me up, and the two of us returned to the dorm, where she opened the gate with her key. Before she was able to put me down, I struggled and latched onto her arm with my feline claws. “Ouch! Bad Kitty!” she scolded angrily, dropping me on the ground. She turned on her heels and made her way outside, grumbling something about being even more late. I decided to inconspicuously follow her to school. Just so I wouldn’t miss the lectures. I wondered why such a fate would dare to befall me. -TBC-

Switch - Part 2
Several close encounters with death later, I finally found myself inside the campus. Classes had already started, and I found very few students outside. Good. This would make me look a whole lot less suspicious. I was going to sneak in via the bathroom passage, but my stomach started to grumble and my feline stamina was failing me as I started to yawn. The stalls in the parking area selling food were just being set up, but if I acted nice, perhaps they could spare me some food. That was beneath my dignity, though, but since no one recognized me, I decided to play my role out. I padded over to the stalls and started mewing, making some sort of noise to grab the stall owner's attention. The owner cast one look at me, but aside from that, proceeded to ignore me. Remind me to boycott the food there from hereon out. Such customer hospitality. I grumbled angrily and left with a hiss. --- It was finally lunch time, and by good fortune, I was able to scrounge a meal from gullible first years. I waited outside the hall for Mariel. I believed she was the only one who could possibly help me in this situation. She eventually walked out of the lecture hall with her friends. Today seemed to have been a good day for them. She soon frowned, however, when her eyes fell on me. Her expression seemed to be replaced with worry and fear. She had Isabel Pierson hold her binder and tablet, and Mariel proceeded to scoop me up in her arms. "Look, guys. My kitty seemed to have followed me to school today. " She raised me to them, and I met their scrutinizing gazes. Maria Isleworth observed me keenly then started patting me on the head. "Such a cute kitty with sleek black fur~ What's his name?" Mariel smiled smugly. "Ehh~ I named him John. Like, you know, with an 'H'." Lisa smirked. "There's not need to be so defensive. We all know who you named him after." I narrowed my eyes at her as much as I could. I understood the situation a bit better now. I thought Mariel had recognized me, but it turned out that her cat just had a similar name as mine. ...and I happened to be in the said cat's body coincidentally. -TBC-

Sooo. I wasn't able to push through with the hundred-day challenge, but I'm taking it upon me to blog more frequently. I've decided to make things less personal and more creative. I hope to be able to write some short Nine drabblets everyday, prolly even make them serial if I could. UwU
