What should he make of this? He was hearing mix things that he wasn’t sure what to believe. It didn’t douse the idea of going to Elisa and teasing her for what he (will say anonymously) heard but it made him doubt the truth in it. A more pressing matter he noticed was the girl’s heightened anxiousness as the conversation continued. He gave a practiced lighthearted chuckle to hopefully ease the tension and show he found no fault with what he was told.

“I expected that more. I would be surprised if she’s interested in me at all. I enjoy her company so...I concur. Who knows.” Both an element of hesitation and a touch of shyness crept into his voice as he trailed off. Both very unfamiliar traits which he was quick to cover up as he continued.

“I didn’t know you were close with Elisa. Have you known each other long?”

“Well, it’s more of a guess really. It’s just that something tells me that you two were something- And not Elisa! She hasn’t really mentioned you honestly.”

She began to realize now would be a good time to backpedal her way out of all this. It’s times like now she wished she had gone into scientific engineering and invented a time machine to undo embarrassing moment such as these. But of course Elisa hadn’t told her, Elisa isn’t that kind of girl. She chuckled nervously and cleared her throat, hoping to break the chain of thought.

“B-but hey! Maybe you two would be really cute together! Or- n-not… Who knows??”

And now, Hedvika Jelinkova, you have ruined everything. Congratulations on death. You may never see the light of day again and all your friends have now turned their backs on you. Ah, just like high school.

Especially when you see her glance across the street to a billboard and her eyes light up. Vika was almost jealous that she had sort of no one to look at her like that, as with most anyone really.

She rubbed her neck then lowered her arms to cross them.

“It’s girl’s intuition.”

“Elisa?” An alarmed exclamation quickly rushed out of his mouth. He hadn’t shared something as small as a kiss with Elisa nor anything that could give off that impression. Certainly nothing to consider them together...? “Did she say we did?”

A frown that thinly held back his curiosity insinuated onto his face. Girl’s intuition. The best he could decipher from that was that she thought Elisa had a crush on him. That was going to be an interesting topic to discuss with the blonde later on.

Did they put you in lessons for that? Must have been hell work growing up but it's wonderful it got you to where you are now. Is it a job you like? Hah, perhaps. Do you have a show this Thursday? I have an hour to breathe that night.

Ah, well, thank you. I didn’t think I could be one either. Nor did I think I would want to be one.

[Blushes a bit] I wouldn’t say that they are incredible…just adaptable. My family wanted me to sing in multiple genres once they found out I could sing. So I have to thank all of that to them. Maybe someday you can listen in on one of my shows. Or we could sing together. That seems like that would be a lot of fun.

It was the billboards AND your good looks that made me assume [laughs a bit]. I don’t think I could ever be a model so I really admire that.
