That dam tv series is frankly all I ever wanted. They so make PJO great again. So here’s a little redraw of The Matrix in Ancient Greek Pottery style. They are all alive in my universe thank you very much 💙
ok i'm gonna be real. "maggots in the brain" is a very clearly anti-zombie insult. its directly implying that undead who have rotten brains are stupid, which is not true. some of us are even scientists. there are zonbies at NASA!!! we're not stupid.

It literally directly stems from the idea that all zombies have maggots in their brains. How could it not be anti-zombie?

emma really is the ideal random freshman year roommate. something bad happens? she’ll make sure there’s weed and a vast assortment of alcohol. u need someone to hold your dress while you pee? emma’s got you. u like someone who’s a bi-gender shapeshifter? who cares! not emma! she’s simply the best
Luke and Cate are the popular it couple everyone wants to be->typically stereotype to have someone not fully committed to long term or cheating
Andre crush curious on Marie and the photo shoot framing them as a possible power couple
Jordan being that toxic serious person who doesn’t have time for other people’s problems
Jordan and Marie being forever rivals who never get along just from 1 bad interaction
Emma and Marie being roommates who tolerate each other and state they won’t pursue friendship
Leading up to Emma and Justine being partners on a project giving you the notion they’ll have a genuine friendship
Marie’s self preservation being perceived as shallow and rude making it look like she’ll be that freshman who is universally hated by everyone on campus
When in actuality shit like this happens that smacks all that down:
Luke and Cate were genuinely dedicated to each other where they even planned their future after college together
Andre and Cate had grief sex and they both wanted to talk about what happened but other imminent stuff kept occurring making it not the right time to do so. Then the whole interview with Tek Knight confirming they had never done so before and were both genuinely grieving the loss of Luke meaning their friendships were built on emotion not out of manipulation and favor-gaining unlike a lot of the adult/professors in this world are shown to have
Jordan is actually quite protective of his friends and wants to keep them safe from the threat at hand even if it’s themselves
Jordan and Marie not only hooking up but actually having multiple conversations with good banter and confrontational dialogue revealing deeper information about both of them and how similar they actually are -> decisiveness, drive, and passion are just a few things
Marie still concerned for Emma’s safety and well-being despite saying otherwise and her relief at Emma’s return along with willingness to aid and assist her with Sam
Justine’s ‘women need to support women’ notion of saving Emma from the male student being smacked out of the sky the moment she outed Emma’s disorder on her platform “to take down the patriarchy” without Emma’s permission which got her more exposure. And despite feeling shitty about it that still doesn’t make up for using what someone told you as a confidant to better your narration and battle. Even if Justine took down the video or apologized publicly, she’d still likely receive ridicule from her peers making HER the most hated freshman on campus as many people told Emma “fuck that girl.” So an act that was supposed to uplift two girls coming together may of well just made them both be each other’s downfall and drive them apart.
Idk I just love how real these characters and their complexities are. I don’t think any of them would necessarily become a villain or are one in the traditional sense but it is believable for one or more of them to become antagonistic in order to protect their friends and loved ones. And like Luke, it will be the adults painting the narrative and turning them into the typical villain to save their own asses.
