bump into things, like someone in love!
anime: jujutsu kaisen
character: gojo satoru
summary: shoko and geto have noticed that gojo has become more... clumsy around one of the underclassman, and take it into their own hands to solve that problem.
warnings: afab! reader, she/her pronouns used, y/n is a bit oblivious lmao
shoko lights her cigarette, eyes on her best friends playing basketball on their break. satoru's glasses lay on her nose, suguru's jacket next to her. suguru was currently up five points, but satoru was slowly closing in. they only had a few more minutes until their break ended and they would have to go to class, and satoru was dead set on winning.
after a successful lay-up, satoru begins to whistle, "ya' losin' it, suguru!"
suguru passes the ball to satoru passed the three-point line, rolling his eyes. "you're just lucky, satoru." he huffs out, smiling.
"good job, satoru!" shoko lazily calls, grinning at his boosted ego.
satoru dribbles the ball a few times, now only three points away. as the two play around, you walk up to shoko on the bench, carrying your weapon's case, greeting your friend, "good morning, shoko. what's up?"
she glances over to you, smile on her face again. "hey, y/n. nothin', just watching them play. you got training soon?"
"yeah, yaga asked see yuu, kento and i on the field. he wants to see how we've been progressing." you say, fixing your collar. you glance towards the boys. "they're pretty good, huh?"
she nods her head, taking the cigarette out of her mouth to blow smoke away from you. she then calls out, leg over her knee, "suguru, satoru! look who's here!"
suguru turns to you briefly, sporting his calming nature and smiling gently. "morning, y/n!" he calls, turning his attention back to satoru, who's turning his head hastily to you.
"hey..." he mumbles, giving suguru the chance to steal the ball and shoot a three, effectively winning the game. satoru glares at his best friend. "hey! cheap shot!"
"pay attention next time, satoru." suguru jokes, catching the ball as the bell rings. he collects himself, walking towards shoko and you. satoru dejectedly follows after, crossed arms.
shoko tosses the boys their things before standing up. you hum out, jutting a thumb to the field as satoru and suguru came closer, "actually, principal yaga asked me to bring you guys. somethin' about an examination?"
"oh right, thanks." suguru says, feeling satoru standing behind him, watching from over his shoulder. he steps to the side, raising a brow. "what are you doing?"
"n—nothin'..." satoru replies, hands in his pockets as he looks away, sunglasses over his eyes. "hey, uh, y/n, how was your break?"
you blink at him, offering your kindest smile that makes his heart pound. "it was good, i spent the whole time dragging kento with yuu and i around for lunch." you say, shrugging your shoulders, "thanks for asking, satoru."
"yeah." he replies, clearing his throat.
shoko amd you begin to walk towards the field, where both nanami and haibara are waiting with their weapons. yaga stood by, talking to them. meanwhile, suguru squints at his best friend.
"what's up with you?" he whispers out, elbowing satoru, "you're acting weird."
"no i'm not." satoru scoffs, rolling his eyes. he tries to look away all nonchalant, but fails.
"is it y/n?" suguru asks, watching how you and shoko talk amongst each other. satoru watches as well. "did you do something to her?"
"you think i did somethin'?" satoru gasps in disbelief. suguru smiles. "why is that your first guess?"
"oi, y/n!" suguru calls, making satoru punch his shoulder harshly. you turn to them. "did satoru do something to upset you?"
satoru wants to destroy suguru after he says that, feeling as if his world is coming crashing down. you raise a brow and shake your head slowly, unsure of why he was asking.
"'course not." you reply, falling into step beside satoru. shoko taps her cigarette as suguru nudges her elbow. "why do you ask?"
"satoru acting strange to you?" he goes on.
"well, he did smash the flower pot yuu gave me when he walked me to my dorm." you explain, "but its fine, i ended up getting a new one."
satoru cringes at the memory of last week, and how you looked upset at the plant you were growing. he hastily bought you more seeds and you accepted them gracefully.
"is that so?" suguru mumbles out quietly, side-eying his best friend. satoru looks at the ground.
it isn't long until you reach your destination and the lesson starts. when it's your turn to go up against nanami, satoru watches you intensely. he watches your every move, and how you maneuver around the field with your weapon. you and nanami are evenly matched at this point, just as you both are with haibara.
"what do you think of the them?" yaga asks his older students.
"they're so cute." shoko chuckles, watching how haibara cheers the both of you on from the sidelines.
"they'll start going on solo missions soon." suguru states, leaning back as he sits down on the step. he glances at satoru. "you're invested."
"yeah? so what?" the white-haired male scoffs, crossing his arms, "i'm just watching."
"watching y/n?" suguru giggles under his breath.
"i am not watching y/n!"
he says that a little too loud. so loud that you instinctively turn to look at them as your name is called, and nanami sees his opening.
the match ends with him getting the slip on you after that.
you sulk back to the seats with your opponent in front of you. satoru blinks and stands up, jogging to meet you halfway.
"y/n! i'm sorry, i didn't mean to, uh, distract you..." he tells you, waving his handswith his apology. you look back at him, pout still on your lips. he falters, dropping his hands. "you... were still great out there."
"ah, thanks, satoru." you sigh, rubbing your shoulder as you sit down beside him with suguru on his other side.
satoru is kicking himself for making you lose your match, but suguru can't help buck snicker at it.
later, class has ended and its time for missions. everyone gathers in one of the classrooms, yaga standing at the front.
"suguru and nanami." he reads out, "you two are heading to a construction site in the south. take these reports and head off as soon as possible."
nanami takes them from the teacher's hands and shows suguru. the older boy reads it, eyes suddenly looking towards his best friend.
"good luck on your mission, satoru!" he chimes, smirking at satoru's red face. his friend flips him off in return.
nanami follows after geto shortly, leaving the room.
yaga clears his throat, "haibara, you'll be visiting the kyoto school to check in with the teachers there. they've requested the help of our school to deal with some missing cursed weapons."
haibara nods his head, fixing his uniform as he stands up.
"take l/n with you." yaga adds on.
you stand up as well, smiling at haibara and reading the report together. satoru blinks, watching as haibara nudges against you to get closer, letting you see the papers easier. he clicks his tongue. 'bad luck...'
"shoko, satoru. you'll be going to visit a high school south of here. suspected of harbouring grade 1 curses and holding some students hostage." yaga explains, but satoru keeps looking at you, "we don't known how many have been injured. make haste."
satoru makes his way to the exit when shoko holds up her hand. "actually, can i go with haibara? utahime and i have some things to discuss." she explains.
yaga, not looking too bothered by the idea, responds, "that's fine by me. haibara and shoko go to kyoto, and l/n and satoru."
shoko sends a sly wink to her friend, making satoru look away with furrowed brows. those two were always scheming! but he couldn't help but feel grateful, now being able to sit beside you on the train.
"after this, do you want to get dinner?" you ask him, looking down at your phone. satoru blinks at you. "it shouldn't take long since you're here, right? so i say we go to that thai place shoko mentioned."
"you wanna go with me?" his voice cracks as he points at himself. he blinks behind his glasses and you chuckle, making his face burn with embarrassment.
"of course with you, satoru. shoko told me that you enjoyed that place, so we might as well go after we're done." you reply, tilting your head, "and you're my favourite senior, after all."
he swears he's unable to focus the rest of the day. he's sloppy when taking down that high-level curse, and you have to snap him out of it a few times by calling his name. hell, you saved him twice when he mindlessly attacking, his mind doing re-runs of you telling him he was your favourite senior.
"satoru!" you shout, deflecting an attack by the curse that was going to hit him, hard. you hold your weapon in one hand, and grasp satoru's uniform front with the other, keeping him from falling off the ledge. you turn your head back to him, breathless. "c'mon, man! focus!"
"ah, i'm... sorry." he says, tracing your features in the sunset, "right! i've got this!"
you pull him up and look over to the scared high school students you saved. they're on the football field, protected by your cursed technique from any fighting outside.
truthfully, you didn't understand why he was off his game today. you've seen him fight before, you've heard all the stories. the almighty gojo satoru. here he was, tripping over his feet.
you decide to talk to him about it after, when the mission is done and you've sent your report back to yaga through a jujutsu worker. at dinner, it's an all you can eat and you snd satoru reserve a booth for yourselves. you sit across from each other (satoru thinks that sitting next to you would cause his heart to burst).
"satoru..." you begin, looking down at your food. he glanced up from his. "do you have a problem with me?"
he stalls, tilting his head. the light above you both illuminates his blush. "no, why do you think that?"
"because suguru is right. you do act differently around me." you explain, "you're always nice to me, satoru. but if you don't like me, you can just say so."
satoru mentally curses at suguru. the guy was putting ideas in your head to get him to confess! how could he play so much with your (non-existent) relationship?
"no! no, i don't have any problem with you." he is quick to react, reaching out to place his hand gently on top of yours, "it's the opposite, y/n... i like you. a lot."
"yeah? that's a relief." you sigh out, smiling at him, "i thought that maybe—"
"y/n, i really like you." he states, gathering all the courage possible to express himself. you stop yourself, staring at him. "i have for a while now... and i promise i'm not making it up, i'm just really bad at saying what i want to say."
"satoru..." you say, feeling his hand shiver on top of yours. you smile, turning your palm and gently holding his hand. "it's okay, i understand. i like you too."
"y—yeah?" he mutters, unable to hide his smile.
"yeah. you're always kind to me. and you've always given me souveniers from your missions out of town." you explain, satoru's heart racing, "i know it's you who leaves them at my dorm."
he hides his face in his other hand, uncontrollable blush on his face. "ah, i knew i should've just told suguru to give 'em to you..." he groans, holding his head in now both of his hands on the table.
you chuckle, standing up and leaning forward, pushing his silky hair back and pressing a warm and gentle kiss to his forehead. he freezes once your pull away, looking back at you from the top of his glasses.
"you're sweet, satoru." you say, leaving to the cashier to pay for the both of you.
satoru leans his chin on his palm, his whole face burning. he'd have to thank his friends, they were helpful even though they were so so annoying.
and when he gets back to school, he does just that. he barges into suguru's room where he and shoko are playing on his gaming console, as its wednesday night and its tradition to go to his room to play a few rounds before they head to sleep.
"you two!" he shouts, pointing accusingly, "you two meddlers! you two... monsters!"
"i take it the date went well." suguru says, pausing the game.
"date! date! it was a date!" satoru claims, falling back onto the bed behind them. the two sit on their own bean bags, turning around to face him. he was blushing like crazy. "i can't believe you two set me up!"
"someone had to." shoko claims, putting out her cigarette, "god knows you weren't gonna do it yourself."
"so how did it go?" suguru asks, wanting to know all the details.
satoru tells them about the mission and the dinner and how the confession went. suguru gets a punch in the shoulder for his intrusion, and shoko gets a glare for mentioning the thai restaurant.
the way he smiles and stares at the ceiling as he speaks makes his friends grin as well. it was high time that he finally got with you.
"and i walked her to her room when we got home and i thanked her for dinner—"
"no way you let her pay when you've got ten thousand businesses—"
"and i kissed her 'goodnight' and she said she wanted to go out again, soon." satoru finishes off, a happy smile on his lips, "she's really amazing..."
"finally! make me your best man." suguru says, turning back to the game with shoko.
satoru chuckles, turning to watch the game they were playing after changing your contact name in his phone.
y/n 💙
so next week? that cat cafe close by?
he smiles.

— BASKETBALL PLAYER AO’NUNG HEADCANONS !
pairing : basketball player ao’nung x reader !
a/n : i had this idea while writing modern lo’ak hcs 🤭
taglist : @nyotamalfoy @victoirey @theycallmesia @grierpilots @neteyamforlife @drinking-tea-and-be-obsessed @neteyamyam @elegantkidfansoul @elizarikaallen @amortencjja @dancingintheedark
synopsis : imagine ao’nung, yeah? now imagine him playing basketball.
Tumblr media
ao’nung, the boy you liked, is on your school’s basketball team.
and he doesn’t just fit into the basketball player stereotype, he is the stereotype.
he’d limp around in the hallways with sore legs and his basketball shoes tied to his backpack
he’d also always be wearing at least one piece of clothing from nike
you two met in p.e class during, of course, the basketball unit
“do you think you could beat me?” the boy asked you randomly, casually dribbling the ball next to you
you decided to ignore him, as you hated boys like him. the stereotypical, athletic assholes.
“come on, i know you want to.”
glaring up at him, you decided that maybe your words will make him leave
“go play with your friends,” you spat before walking away, thanking the higher power for a chance to exit the conversation
little did you know, your hostility only made ao’nung even more drawn to you
so he’d make more attempts to get a rise out of you
“y/n, is lebron the goat?” he’d hold a mini microphone up to you, motioning for his friend to angle their phone camera toward you
“ao’nung!” you scowled, covering your face, “do not put me in your stupid tiktoks.”
“oh, so you’ve seen my page? have you been stalking me?” he teased, making you groan
he was just happy to get a response from you.
this would go on for days, and soon enough, you two would always be seen playfully bantering, sometimes even laughing
he became tolerable, then he became … a friend.
then he became pretty. you figured that maybe he was pretty before, you had just never noticed, but you brushed that aside anyway
the more time you spent together, the more you’d start to question if your feelings for him were even platonic anymore
nevertheless, being close friends with the team’s point guard gave you endless privileges
one of them being that you were allowed to come watch him practice
he’d be warming up at first, but then when he’d see you walk in, he’d constantly hit 3 pointers
because you’d attend so many practices, his teammates would start to take notice
“ao’nung, are y’all dating yet?”
“they’re not dating?”
you pretended not to hear them in fear of ao’nung rejecting the idea, but he’d simply just tell them to shut up
and somehow, the fact that he didn’t deny the question just gave you a little bit of hope
you’d always be seated at front row to his games, whether it was a home or away game
so he’d joke about you being his biggest cheerleader
when he’d make a basket, he’d smirk at you in the crowd knowing that you were watching
and although he did all these things, you can’t help but question if the feelings were mutual
yet you fail to notice the one thing that gave everything away
his jersey number is the date that you two met.

imagine aonung as a proud father
➷ MASTERLIST. NAVIGATION.
Tumblr media
HEAR ME OUT: 29! metkayina oloeyktan! aonung! dad to twins!
“i have an announcement.” standing on a high platform, aonung raised his voice to capture the attention of the room.
two toddlers, each snuggled on aonung's respective arms, pinched the tattoos on their father's skin without caring about the swarm of people watching them from below.
“aonung, what is this about?” asked tsireya.
the look on her people's faces mirrored her puzzled one—jaw agape and nose scrunched.
her brother only cast her a smug grin.
unease began to stirr tsireya's stomach. the siblings succeeded their parents' positions at an early age, but aonung didn't produce an heir until he was 28.
many were concerned about the future of the clan because aonung and his mate didn't bear the news of a child for 2 years. waiting and trying for two years was insufferable, especially to aonung. he fretted the people would question the capabilities and health of their oloeyktan and his mate. so when tsireya detected, there were two babies in the womb, aonung teared up there and then, before declaring a feast to celebrate. eywa had heard his prayers and blessed the pair with not one but two sons.
the dawn his sons entered the world, aonung also held a feast to commemorate his mate's difficult birth and the addition of two boys into the reef clan.
“as you all know, my children's brilliance surpasses their age.”
an exasperated sigh left tsireya's lips. she already knew where this was headed.
“they never fail to make me proud,” he said, leaning down as one of the boys pawed at his neck. another tugged at his curls, chewing on his hair. “today, however, they hit a milestone.”
with much reluctance, aonung placed his children on the ground. once their chubby feet touched the floor, they wriggled out of aonung's protective grasp.
their mother watched from the sidelines.
it was one odd thing when aonung carried his sons up to the stand, however for his mate to be separated from him was totally bizarre. her idiot of a brother couldn't live without lingering around his mate. therefore, what in the great mother's name was happening?
“come on, my little beasts. show them your waddle.”
“what are you doing, aonung?” she hissed as her nephews crawled dangerously near the edge. before their webbed arms could fall off, aonung scooped them up and brought them back to the centre.
“trust me, reya.” was all he said.
aonung squatted down and kissed his sons.
“go to your mother.” he spoke gently, encouraging them with a pat on their bums.
obeying his words, the boys started to claw on their father's knees. aonung's gaze twinkled with glee and anticipation. tsireya was about to tell him off again, before her nephews rendered her speechless when they managed to stand up on shaky legs.
with the aid of their father, they found some balance. aonung let them go as his mate clapped her hands and beckoned for the bundles of joy.
“my sons have learned how to walk.”
yes, everyone saw. his sons wobbled towards their mother, one falling behind, but he never backed down. just like his father's stubborn spirit. once they reached their mother's embrace, a boom of cheers and laughter erupted through the evening.
“in honour of their achievement, i shall host a feast for all to enjoy and celebrate.”
tsireya's heart warmed up at the sight of aonung's genuine smile. she couldn't note the last time he smiled that way, unrestrained and brimming with joy.
fatherhood looked beautiful on him.

not my gif :-)
you’ll never know how long i’ve adored you
pairing: rotxo x gn! metkayina reader (oneshot)
he fell first, oblivious reader (stays that way), matchmaker (reader is still around rotxo’s age)
prompt: being the youngest child to ronal and tonowari had its perks. but it also meant you were overlooked sometimes because of your parents’ responsibilities. you had a wildcard personality and an unwillingness to settle down, so your parents felt it was necessary to set up blind dates for you. luckily for you, one of them is perfect!
“no. absolutely not. i will not do it!” you said, rolling your eyes and stomping off to your sleeping mat in your family marui. your parents sent your older sister, who they knew you loved so much, to relay the news. “but-“ tsireya began. “i will not!” you shouted. so much for not shooting the messenger…
your parents loved you so much, and everyone knew they would do anything to keep you happy. but they were busy, and they were getting older. they wanted someone trustworthy to take care of you for when they went on to rest with eywa. and since you refused to find anyone for yourself, they felt it was best to take matters into their own hands.
“where is sempu?” you asked your sister, knowing that your father was more malleable, and still saw you as his little ‘eveng. “he is out on a hunt with ao’. however, sa’nu is still around, working on healing pastes. you could talk to her if you wish?” tsireya shrugged, knowing that talking to their mother usually yielded no results. you knew this as well, but being the youngest had its perks. so you set off to make your mother change her mind.
“no, ma yawntutsyìp. the plan is already in motion.” said your mother, standing to cup your face in her hands. you groaned, not wanting to hear anymore. “just go on 3 of them, please? for your old sa’nu. only three.” she pleaded with you, putting on a sad, motherly face to gain more pity points. “we will not be around forever…” she said, as her voice trailed off in a sing-songy way and continued back to her work. you knew that she wasn’t one to change her opinion when it was set, but couldn’t she see that it was a horrible one?
sadly, the more you thought about it, she was right. of course. they were getting older, and as much as you did not want to admit it, you were scared of that. it would be a good idea to have someone by your side so you wouldn’t be alone when your parents or siblings weren’t around. plus, your older siblings had mates as well, tsireya with the sully boy and ao’nung with kyuna, who was one of your people. maybe it wouldn’t be too bad to settle down.
so you went on the first date. of course it was horrible. the guy had horrible eating skills, interrupted you whenever you talked, and was not too easy on the eyes. every time he opened his mouth, you either kissed your teeth, coughed, cleared your throat, or anything you could think of to block out his annoying voice.
the second date was not as bad, however. it was with rotxo, one of ao’nung’s friends. it turned out that his parents made him go on these types of dates too, so you had something to relate over and laugh about. he was also a very pretty guy, which you seemed to not have noticed until now. he was incredibly recipient of your feelings, and understood how frustrated you were.
“it is so weird to be on a date with you when we grew up together!” you remarked, as you looked out into the ocean. of course you never saw the boy romantically, much to his dismay. he had thought you were amazing since the day he met you. so, what he left out when saying his parents forced him to go, was that he skipped out on so many other dates to be on this one with you. he was hoping that this would change your perspective of him, and maybe see him as a worthy mate.
of course you were oblivious to this, only even giving the idea of him as your mate a cursory thought because you knew of him and his kindness. the more you pondered over this idea, you didn’t think it would be so bad to be with him. after all, he was sweet to you, approved by your family, and could provide for you. but sadly, you still had one more date to go on and were not completely set on the idea of mating with roxto. you grew up with him, for eywa’s sake! it would just be a little weird for you, and he was your brother’s best friend too.
“thanks for this, rotxo! you have nooo idea how much better this was compared to my first date!” you said, going in to hug him goodbye. “ah yes, f‘course.” he said, quietly, at almost a mumble. he wanted to stay in your embrace forever. why did you not see that he cared for you, and more importantly, why did you have to go on that other date…
he was never the jealous type, and he didn’t want you to see him as such, so he let you go and walked away to go sit by the shore. he should’ve just told you, he thought. maybe then you would be here with him instead.
that third date wore you out. the girl was so arrogant and you could tell she only went because you were the chief’s child. all she did was talk about herself and her looks, and how “wonderful it would be to be mated with her”. every time she would say something like that, you had to “clean your ears.” meaning you plugged them until you noticed her mouth no longer moving.
eventually she caught the hint and stomped away, feeling hurt and complaining. ‘oh well’, you thought. so you immediately dived in the ocean to take a swim. the cool sea breeze always calmed you down after tense moments. today’s events had been tiring. one bad date after another, except for one. rotxo. he was kind to you and you knew him well. you made up your mind. you would mate with him. it was a win-win situation, after all. a win for you, and a win for your family. you just hoped and prayed to eywa that he didn’t have his heart set on someone else.
as you swam around the island, you saw a small figure resting on the shore. so you swam up to them, and soon noticed that it was rotxo. just the guy you needed to see.“rotxo!!” you called out, hoping he could hear you and notice. he glanced up, waving and smiling in your direction. “rotxo, hey!” you said, coming out of the ocean and running a hand through your drenched hair.
“hi, (yn)!” he spoke calmly, patting the spot beside him for you to sit. you sat down with a ‘hmph’ and took his hands in yours, wanting to get the question over with and asked already. “rotxo, i had a really good time today. i kinda hated the other dates i went on, and that made me realize how amazing you are. even if it’s just out of convenience or for your parents, would you be my mate?” you asked, with your former light blue face turning a new hue of purple.
his eyes widened in shock, wondering if eywa had heard his prayers. “oh, yes! i would be happy to be mated with you, (yn). thank you, for even thinking about giving me a chance.” the boy gave you the biggest smile you had ever seen come from him, even showing his canines.
you wondered why he was so happy, but maybe that was a story for another time. for now, you two just spent the evening talking and enjoying each other’s company. if this didn’t win you child of the year, you weren’t sure what would.
sempu- daddy
‘eveng- child
sa’nu- mommy
yawntutsyĂŹp- little darling

so scrumptious omnomnom
Aonung x Sully!reader
reader is an amazing weaver And it’s Aonung’s of age ceremony and he asks Y/N for help with his ceremonial clothing cause he waited too long to make it and they stay up all night together making it…
~~~
It was late at night, you were drifting in and out of sleep in your separate marui because you finished your off age ceremony weeks ago, and you were finally getting used to being by yourself.
Obviously you missed you family, but it’s not like you won’t see them everyday. Lo’ak and Neteyam left months ago and that left you Kiri and Tuk.. well now just Kiri and Tuk.
Spending time in the Metkayina you got aquatinted to many of the people, a lot of them knowing you due to your amazing craftsmanship and skill in weaving.
Your mother calls it a gift from Eywa due to how diligent and fast you can get even the most difficult patterns down.
~~~
Being half way asleep you hear steps outside of your mauri. Ears perking up to the sound you grumble a bit.
Someone knocks on the outside whispering your name
“Y/N..? Hey wake up”
You groan recognizing the source of the voice.
“Go away Aonung, I’m trying to sleep.”
The bot rolled his eyes and let out a huff.
“Listen, I really need your help right now, so can you please get up?”
The genuine sound in his tone took you aback, maybe he really was in trouble and could use some help.
You raise up to see him standing in the middle of your Mauri, rubbing your eyes you yawn
“So what do you need help with?”
He seemed to liven up a bit at your willingness to assist him.
“Well.. tomorrow is my coming of age ceremony and.. I waited to long to make my ceremonial clothing.”
You deadpanned turning to lay back down
“Wait wait! Y/N I really need you to do this for me, it would be a dishonor to have not made them, I just need this one favor then I’ll leave you alone for like a week, promise”
You let out an exasperated grumble, but him not bothering you for that long sounded like heaven, plus you were lonely in your pod. Having company when you were already struggling to sleep doesn’t sound too bad.
“..mm fine”
He put on a pleased smile and set the materials next to you.
“We’re going to make an armband, a necklace, and a loincloth” he looked pleased with himself and the materials he gathered.
“Alright. Let’s get started”
You take the material
“I’ll make the jewelry pieces, you work on the loincloth.”
He nodded in agreement
~~~
It’s been hours. You both were dying of exhaustion. Weaving the materials was a lot more difficult in this state. Things that you could make easily in 30 minutes are now taking an hour do. Aonung wasn’t much help either, he didn’t really know what he was doing. You have had to stop and help him multiple times. Though you can be too hard on him, there is a lot that goes into these pieces, you were just upset he started so late.
“Why did you not start until today? Why wait so long?” You brought it up and we’re met with his eyes, he looked embarrassed to admit the reason.
“I thought this would be the easy part, I needed to gather the materials which seemed harder, I thought I could finish in a day, but… as you can see” he smirked at you pointing out the situation you both were in.
You rolled your eyes, going back working on the pieces.
~~~
You were finally done. Your fingers stung and your head throbbed. Aonung finished an hour ago and passed out on the floor, he tried helping but he ended up not being able to make it, which left it up to you.
You looked down at him, seeing how peaceful he looked, and warm.
You were used to cuddling with Tuk when you slept, she used to get scared at night so she’s always come to you for reassurance, and it became a habit of her to fall alseep in your arms.
The thought of being next to him made your heart race, but you quickly disregarded the thought,
How could you think of something like that. Especially with him. He was rude, cocky, mean, well you did like his smile, and his hair was nice, his body was very toned….
You sighed knowing that it was your tired drunken state making you think like this. You lay down closing your eye drifting away.
~~~~
30 minutes after you feel asleep, it wasn’t a good sleep though. You felt restless and anxious, something wasn’t right, you missed having your family around you, having someone close. Suddenly you feel something or rather someone against your backside and swing their arm around you.
In your state of tiredness you couldn’t comprehend what was happening but it was something that you were used to when you lived at home, you assumed it was Tuk not realizing she wasn’t there.
You drifted off again.
~~
Waking up you noticed a rather large hand covering your torso
You freeze realizing who it is and start to panic. Slowly turning you see that he is still asleep
You let out a relived sigh, but he opens his eyes, your mouth slightly agape when you see this.
“You move a lot in your sleep, you looked really uncomfortable. But you slept just fine in my arms hm?” He was smirking down at you
You lightly pushed him back sitting up.
“Don’t Aonung.” You were embarrassed, but in all honesty that was the best sleep you had since you got here.
“Well, say that it’s me repaying you for your help.. if you ever need me back here I’ll do this little sleep thing with you.” He sounded kinda genuine, you didn’t know how to feel. The guy that was kinda a pain in your side but also very protective, confident, amazing on the eyes… your mind trailed off again while staring down at him.
“Like what you see?” He was of course looking back at you, but his comment made you snap out of the trance.
You roll your eyes
“Whatever.. go get ready for your Ceremony. You have a big day today, so go.”
Your words were not harsh and you didn’t shoot down his idea, so he took that as a maybe to his suggestion.
~~~
Him leaving the mauri he wave and thanked you again “Thank you yawne” with that he left leaving you speechless.
The Olo’eyktan’s son called you yawne.
You, not even originally from this village, pretty average.. you thought there was plenty of other women in this village that could suite the requirements of his mate… but you? Obviously you’ve thought of the possibility, but your relationship with him was kinda off. Seeing him almost daily when you talked to each other it was like bickering, your friends like to say you both sound like an old married couple. You’d always find him catching glimpses of you, when you did he’d always smirk or pretend like he wasn’t. You did the same though, mapping out his features, memorizing the patterns on his skin… but that doesn’t mean you like each other.. right?
~~~~
-mini time skip-
The ceremony was amazing, the pieces you made suited him very well and they looked great on him, and he got quite the few compliments from them.
After there was a party to celebrate. You were by kiri, talking to her about ewya knows what when a guy from the village comes up to you.
“Hello Y/N” You know him as Nash’vi, recently he has been trying to talk to you more and more but in the past Kiri has said that he’d pick on and never apologized and makes her uncomfortable
“Hello..?” You’re used to him coming up to you from time to time but unless he apologized or owned up to his mistake, you would keep conversation short.
“I was wondering if you wanted to dance?” At this point Kiri had left, leaving the two of you alone
“Oh I don’t know I’m not really-“ you were cut off by someone wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
“Sorry but she already agreed to dance with me.” It was Aonung, your saving grace. You gave him a tankful look and Nash’vi walked away.
“Tsk” he looked aggravated at the boy walking away. You squeezed his hand catching his attention.
“So, we’re dancing now?” You gave him a smug look that he’s usually give you.
Now it’s his turn to roll his eyes
“Yeah, you know you want to.” You sighed smiling.
“Maybe I do?” With that he took your hand and lead you to the dance circle.
You both danced till you were tired and your feet burned. By the end of the party you could barley walk.
~~~
Going back to your mauri, Aonung offered to take you back, which you agreed.
You were leaning against him while he semi-held you up.
“Are we even now” he broke the comfortable silence. “Hm? What do you mean?” You looked up at him and he paused for a second, getting caught in them.
He thought about it for a second “..never mind I’d spend my whole life repaying you if I had the chance.” Again his words got you and your face started heating up.
“Y/N… can u court you?” Your skin was a light purple hue and you didn’t know what to say to his forwardness. He really did liked you.
You think about his request for a second.
“No” instantly he looked disheartened, but you weren’t finished. “No courting Ma’Aonung I’d love be your mate for life.. I see you.”
Now his face was heated, looking down at you he put his forehead to yours
“I see you Y/N”
With that you leaned into each other closing the space, and kissed.

love for the mighty warrior.
pairing: neteyam x fem! omaticaya reader (part two- final part!) part 1
outgoing reader (usually), it girl of the clan, arranged marriage
prompt: you were the girl in the clan that showed the most promise from a young age, so of course you were going to be mated with toruk makto’s firstborn son. but you wanted to marry for love and could never be with him… or so you thought.
the days went by quickly as you grew to know neteyam. he was a lovely person with a steadfast heart. and he held true to his word, not interfering with your wishes to become a warrior. his grandmother and your mother got along very well, as they both wanted you to learn how to be a healer as well, believing that multifaceted women were strong.
suddenly, the idea of becoming tsahík, and in turn his mate, did not seem so bad. “neteyam.” you called out. “please help me mount my ikran. i must hunt to prepare dinner for our conjoined families!” you said, with a tinge of excitement. something about your families combining gave you a sense of hope, even if you did not realize it.
“of course, ma (yn). would it be okay for me to come along?” he asked gently, as he put what he was working on away to come assist you. the way that he would hurriedly drop everything for you made your heart flutter. it felt good for someone other than your mother to have your best interests at heart.
“hmm, okay!” you agreed. “but the last one there has to carry all of it back!!” you squealed, racing off on your trusty ikran, making tsaheylu. you waved at him from the clouds and sped away. being with him made you feel like yourself again, regaining your competitive spirit. soon, you saw him behind you, dodging trees and other clan members that were flying, smiling at you with excitement.
you landed atop your agreed upon meeting spot, dismounting and standing in a victory pose. not soon after, he joined you, looking mockingly defeated. “this race was not fair, you see. you started way before me!” he complained, throwing his hands up in exasperation. “well… headstart or not… it looks like i won!!” you said happily.
“but (yn)… i would’ve carried it back anyways… no need to hurt my pride with a stupid race!” he said, slumping over your shoulder. you simply pat his back knowingly, comforting him for what you had him do. “ohh, poor baby! does ‘teyam not like losing!?” you said, giggling as he sighed and walked over to get his hunting supplies.
as you went to get yours, you heard him grumble about how it was “unfair” and that he would “get you next time”. such a silly boy, but even as he sulked he was beautiful to you. you see, you had realized your feelings for the boy a long while ago, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything to him yet. the time was not right.
“well, ma ‘teyam, meet me back here just before sunset so we can leave together.” you said, skipping away, excited to hunt for the first time in a while. since you’ve been busy with all the preparations of becoming tsahík, you didn’t have time for your first love anymore. hunting.
as you heard the thwip of the last arrow, knowing you had caught enough, you went to go retrieve your arrows and carry back all your catches. it seemed you were the first to arrive, so as you strapped your gear to your ikran, you decided to pray to eywa about guidance on your feelings.
“oh eywa, please direct me on what to do. you see, i have finally fallen for him. but i am scared. how does it feel to lose yourself to someone completely? what if he does not feel the same and is only doing this for his people? how could i blame him for that..?” you monologued, not hearing the crunches of the leaves from someone coming up behind you.
finally, you completed your prayer and opened your eyes, looking around to see him. shocked, you jolted and leaned back against a tree, hoping he hadn’t heard all that. “(yn)… i… feel the same.” he said, looking at you with love-filled eyes. you let out a small gasp, finally feeling it was the right moment.
“neteyam, i… i see you.” you said confidently, finally being sure of your feelings. maybe this was the gift that eywa had provided you with. “i see you too, ma (yn), but i think you already knew that.” he said with a grin as he leaned in to press his forehead to yours. “may i?” he asked, looking down at your mouth and then back up to your eyes. he never lost his gentlemanly touch, even in moments like this. “of course.” you said, leaning up to press a small kiss to his smiling lips.
you two stayed in each other’s embrace for a while, until you looked up and noticed that the sun had set already. “oh eywa, we have to go! it’s late already!!” you said, hurriedly rushing the boy up and on to his ikran. even he knew the one thing you hated was to keep your mother waiting, so he let it go. he knew you two would have more moments like this to come, especially now that you had opened up to him.
you quickly flew back, excitedly thinking about the stories that you would tell your mother about your confession to neteyam. he flew up to you, noticing your dazed look, and shouted over to you. “hey! i never thought i would find a warrior mightier than i, but… here you are! i see you, yawne. thank you for finally letting me in.” he said, with happy tears jerking at his eyes.
you got flashbacks to the day you met, and noticed all the signs even then. he was truly perfect for you. you threw him a smile and began doing brilliant tricks in the air, all while your ikran chirped and squeaked happily. you did love the mighty warrior, and you were lucky to have him as yours.
-mini time skip-
“mama… today has been a beautiful day.” you remarked as you laid in your mother’s gentle arms. she simply hmm’ed, already having an idea of what you meant. she had already seen all the lovesick glances you gave him, even if you didn’t realize it. she knew, well before you did, and was proud of her daughter for coming to terms with it herself.
“i think it is time for us to mate before eywa.” you stated proudly. you were sure of yourself and ready, finally feeling restored to your former glory. now that you had a wonderful man beside you, and your headstrong personality, you knew that this was the right choice. your mother cooed and held your face in her hands, realizing that her daughter had finally grew up. ‘my child has grown to be so mighty…’ she thought, but only showed her teeth in a proud grin and embraced you.
but you had more than just your mother now. you had him as well, and you were sure that things would be good with him by your side.

love for the mighty warrior.
pairing: neteyam x fem! omaticaya reader (part 1!!)
outgoing reader (usually), it girl of the clan, arranged marriage
prompt: you were the girl in the clan that showed the most promise from a young age, so of course you were going to be mated with toruk makto’s firstborn son. but you wanted to marry for love and could never be with him… or so you thought.
neteyam sully had always been the boy everyone talked about, he was the future olo’eyktan after all. you, however, had to work from birth just to be noticed by your fellow clan members. so naturally, you resented him just a bit. being a fierce and unwilling fighter had lost you many social opportunities, but it meant nothing as long as you were able to protect your people.
“mother…i could never be betrothed to him! why can’t they choose another woman, i’m sure there are many chomping at the bits to get a chance.” you complained, not understanding why you were being chosen for this horrible task.
“ma ‘ite, you must do this for our family! i know this must be hard for you, but he is well-respected and will treat you right.” she stroked your hair, trying to calm you down. out of anyone in this world, your mother was always the one who truly had your back.
after a while of cuddling with your mother, you accepted it. it probably wouldn’t be too bad. and you could always grow to love him, right? wrong. you felt completely stolen from and out of place. you never wanted to be tsahík, you wanted to lead warriors and win battles. so why now, just when things were going well for you?
—small time skip—
the olo’eyktan welcomed you into their home, beckoning you to have a seat. “welcome, young one, and thank you for accepting our offer. you have shown to be one of the best women in our clan, and i believe you and my son will be a lovely match.” he spoke powerfully, and even as tough as you were, you felt even stronger ones than you could not speak back to him.
you simply nodded, already having checked out mentally from the conversation. there was nothing you could or would do, simply for the sake of your mother. you understood your position, and as much as you resented having to do this, your love for your family and your people overpowered that, so you sucked it up.
“yes sir, i understand. i hope to provide a happy marriage to your son and a long-lasting future.” you said, even if you meant none of it. you just wanted to get this over with and return home to your family. this day had been so much to deal with. but as you were bowing and saying your goodbyes, neytiri, your future mother-in-law, spoke up.
“why don’t you two take a walk? get to know each other more, after all, you will have to spend your lives in unison.” she suggested, blissfully unaware to the fact that you wanted nothing more to leave and escape this nightmare you were living in. of course, you could do nothing but nod and wait for him to join you.
he spoke up, walking quickly to catch up to you, as you were on the verge of tears. today had been too overwhelming and this was just the icing on the cake. “so, i hear you are a huntress. that must be nice, not healing and instead fighting unlike all the other girls.” he remarked, only making you feel worse. why did he have to point out you weren’t like the other girls? was he saying you weren’t good enough for him?
“ah, yes.” you curtly said, not wanting to continue the topic further. he simply nodded and stopped walking, taking a good look at you. “i admire your resilience, (yn). this choice was not easy for me either, but i understand that it must be worse for you.”
he…understands? you thought he was cold-hearted and dissatisfied with you, how could he say such things? “you know, amongst my family there is a nickname my family calls me a lot. ‘mighty warrior.’ but i think it fits you quite well.” he said as he chuckled and tousled his braids a bit.
he thinks… that you are mighty? nervously stopping and bowing to him, you repeatedly thanked him, and noted that compliments from the future leader are a high honor. “i admire your strength and leadership skills as well. i hope our partnership turns to be fruitful.” you said, mostly monotone, not wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt just yet. just because he said nice things to you once doesn’t make the situation any less horrible.
“even if you didn’t mean it, receiving a compliment from the future tsahík is an honor to me as well. don’t be so formal, please. i don’t want it to be so awkward for you.” he said, as he grabbed your hands gently, looking into your eyes with sorrow. “i truly am sorry, (yn). i know it must hurt to have your freedom stripped from you, so please understand i am on your side. i will not rush things.” he said to you genuinely.
this was it. this was your breaking point. hearing that someone understood you made you burst into tears. holding it back for so long only made you hate the situation more, so you fell to the forest floor on your knees as you sobbed. “i was living so well… why now?” you choked out. you could barely make it through a sentence.
at first he just stood in shock, but then he hastily came to your side and began rubbing your back. “i would never get in the way of your progress and your life, please understand. i will support you and we can work through this together. please, do not cry.” somehow, his calming words and actions got you to stop crying. who knew the mighty warrior had such a heart of gold?

“Why can’t we just love each other?” Ch. 4
Tumblr media
Last part!
Ch.1 Ch.2 Ch.3
Why was it so difficult for you two to get along and just love each other? You’ve been dreading going to school all morning, now you’re here…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up, having been crying all night your eyes were puffy and you didn’t feel to good.
Having seen you, your mom asked if you were sick, hoping she’d let you stay home you were very admit that you didn’t feel well. Unluckily she checked your temperature and decided you were well enough to go, but if anything happens to call her and she’ll pick you up.
So you trotted back to your room and got ready for school. Everything seemed to be going a lot slower and you felt a deep pain in your chest that spread all around your body. You felt as though heavy weights had been placed on you every move you made felt like a difficult task.
The ride to school was hellish. You felt as though we’re were going to cry the closer you got.
Finally deciding to check your phone, forgetting it was on do not disturb. You see text from Tsireya, kiri and Neteyam. Checking your group chat with Kiri and Tsireya first. Them talking about plans for next weekend and then Tsireya saying that there was something at school for you.
This message left you confused until you opened your text from Neteyam.
“Hey Y/N! Please make it to school early there’s a surprise there for you!”
At this you were really puzzled. You knew the two were close to Aonung, so you expected that they knew and were going to apologize for him. They were sweet but you were not accepting it from anyone other than him.
The audacity he had to ask others to do his work for him. This just angered you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arriving to school, you had 15 minutes before the 1st period bell. You decided to drop your things off and then meet Kiri at your usual place.
Going to the library is where you two would meet up, Tsireya usually got there later so you two would just talk about books or movies, anything really. It was a good way to start the day. Kiri had a relaxing aura to her that you enjoyed being around, so you were glad that you had her on this already tasking morning.
Arriving you saw that she wasn’t here.. but instead
.
.
It was Aonung sitting at the table seeming to be very nervous. You turn to leave until he noticed you.
He waves to you, thinking that you heard the whole conversation.. but sadly you didn’t. So he didn’t understand why you looked so upset.
Did you not like him? Did you hate him?
You turned away and started walking out, but you felt a hand on your shoulder turning you around.
“Hey Y/N, about what I said yesterday-“
You cut him off
“No. Please I’m sorry for being so “rude and always finds a way to get under your skin””
You were finally face to face with him, and looking into his eyes tears started welling up in yours, angry tears.
At this point he got that you didn’t hear the whole conversation and was taken aback. He looked hurt and ashamed of his words.
Upset? Why does he look upset? I’m the upset one. After all that talk how is he going to look like he’s hurt? You thought to yourself.
You let out a frustrated sigh
“You know, I really did like you. I liked you a lot. But I see that I’m just a pain in your side.”
At this point he starts talking
“No no Y/N please let me explain. I’m so sorry I said those things about you. I never meant them, I know that what I said was terrible but it wasn’t the full conversation… the truth is I really like you Y/N and I’ve liked you for a while now. Ever since the first day you’ve caught my eye and I love spending time with you and being around you. The way you talk, and you’re so funny, and you don’t let people walk all over you but you still show true kindness to everyone. And I just love those things about you. I’m so sorry for hurting you.”
You were shocked to say the least. You were overwhelmed with emotions and had no idea what to say. You started to cry again and Aonung looked worried until you pulled him into a kiss.
He looked down at you, then closed his eyes deepening the kiss.
You both felt as though you were floating on air. Nothing could ruin this moment.
…
“WOOO THATS MY BRO!!”
You both stopped hearing the cheering in the back, seeing all your friends there. Kiri hit the back of Roxto’s head shushing him, and Tsireya looking upset. Neteyam was shaking his head and Lo’ak was laughing at them.
You two stare back at them, then look at each other.
You both start laughing and they congratulate you on your new found relationship.
Aonung no longer felt ashamed to show his love and you had finally stopped insulting each other every second of the day. Sure you both joked but now it was out of endearment.
Finally you loved each other.
Authors note: thanks for the support guys! What Schlupf I write next? My request are always opened!

not my gif!!
romancing he who is most misunderstood.
pairing: lo’ak x fem! metkayina! reader x platonic neteyam
fluffy oneshot w some misunderstanding and a little bit of fake dating
prompt: you’ve been tasked with teaching the brothers the way of the sea. you become interested in the younger one, and develop a strong crush on him. he shares your feelings, unknowingly to you. you ask the older one for help, and this is the result.
“dude. i need your help.” lo’ak pleads to his brother. he is currently thinking about the young metkayina tsakarem, younger sister to ao’nung and twins with tsireya. “i think she thinks i’m weird, man…” he says as he shakes his head in disappointment.
of course, neteyam knows all about how the girl feels about him. she is completely head over heels for his younger brother, and she has been asking him for advice on how to represent her feelings for quite some time now. but she asked him to keep that a secret, which he will do.
“hmm, i don’t know. have you ever just fried asking her what she thinks?” he sighs in exasperation. playing the middleman for two teens in love is never easy, but this is his brother and the kindest girl he’s met since arriving here, so he’ll suffer through it. “i honestly think you should just officially ask to court her. what’s the harm?” he asks.
lo’ak stands and looks at his brother in complete shock and horror. “no, bro! that could go super bad… i don’t even know if she feels the same!” he exclaims and facepalms aggressively, falling back into the sand. unbeknownst to him, the girl of his dreams had just seen that, as she was looking for neteyam to gain some wisdom about his brother.
holding back a giggle, she walks up to the boys, signaling to neteyam that she wants to talk. lo’ak looks up with an embarrassed blush, hoping that she didn’t see that. neteyam sighs, standing up, mentally smacking himself and the others for not realizing. “well, bro i’ve got to go for lessons. figure it out, and soon.” he said, hoping that he would understand quickly.
he wasn’t getting lessons. he was helping you make an armband to give to lo’ak as a gift. he helped you choose a pattern and pick out shells and beads his brother would like, all while telling you information about him. you wanted to win his heart well and proper, and even though asking his brother for help was probably skipping a few steps, you didn’t want to take any chances.
“thank you for helping me neteyam, i think it is almost ready.” you said calmly with a hint of excitement. as much as you adored him, you still felt nervous when it came to sharing your feelings. so, you chatted with neteyam until sunset, learning funny stories about lo’ak as a kid, and things like his dislikes and favorites.
lo’ak sighed, watching you talk and laugh with his brother. it should’ve been him. of course you didn’t like him, he was just like payakan after all. an outcast. a girl as perfect as you couldn’t ever love him. so he went back home, downtrodden and feeling low. he went straight to sleep, only muttering small greetings to his family. he was halfway asleep when neteyam arrived at their marui.
“hope your date with (yn) went well…” he grumbled under his breath. neteyam looked in confusion and cocked his head to the side, not understanding what his brother was talking about. “what date? i had lessons, you know that.” he said, defensively. he could see the jealousy in his brother’s heart, and wished this whole thing would just fix itself.
“just save it. i saw you two making jewelry by the cave. guess the mighty warrior has no empathy.” he said, coldly. how could his own brother do this to him? and lie about it? he simply shuffled around and went to sleep, not bothering to hear his brother’s explanation. ‘whatever…’ neteyam thought. he would find out in the morning.
you woke up bright and early to go to the sully’s marui, making sure you looked your best. you had it all planned out, you were going to take him on a ride to your favorite cave, then present him with the armband. saying goodbye to your family, you quickly left while the sun was still rising, to execute your plan.
“good morning!” you beamed, standing at the entrance of the sully family home. lo’ak pushed aside the entrance, looking groggy. he was quite handsome even still, but it looked like he had been crying all night. “oh, (yn). looking for neteyam?” he said, with a hint of attitude. “no…” you said confusedly. “i was looking for you.”
what? why were you looking for him? wasn’t neteyam your little boyfriend? this made him angry, so he responded rashly. “for what?” he spat. “look, i don’t know what neteyam told you but…” he started. you understood that he had the wrong idea, so in your attempt to do damage control, you blurted,“nolo’akilikeyoupleasetakethis!!” showing the arm cuff in his face. so much for your plan…
he only stood there dumbfounded. you…liked him? not his brother? he wasn’t saying anything, so you took it upon yourself to explain. “i was too scared to ask you directly, so i learned more about you through neteyam. he was just helping me show my feelings for you. please don’t misunderstand…” you looked down sadly. “i understand if you do not return my feelings, but please take this! it was made to fit you perfectly.” you began walking away when he gently grabbed your wrist.
“follow me.” he said quietly, leading you to the shore. “(yn), i… i see you. i have liked you since i arrived here, i’m sorry for getting stern with you because of my jealousy.” he began spouting out apologies and telling you every little detail he loved about you. you quickly shut him up by hugging him and cupping his ear to whisper. “oel ngati kameie, lo’ak. i hope now you feel my heart’s position…” you pulled back and smiled at him, holding his hands lovingly.
he finally had someone that understood him.

“Why can’t we just love each other?” Pt.3
Tumblr media
Human!bully!Aonung x Reader (Highschool AU)
Warnings: None!
Part 1 Part 2
Ever since the sleep over you’ve been feeling more awkward around Aonung. Little thing that he does or the way he looks at you, his eyes seems to linger makes your body hot and your heart race. What will you do about this new feeling?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been a while since the sleep over, ever since your feelings have grown for him. The conversations through that night being something and nothing, the way he comforted you when he heard about your sleeping troubles, the way he looked at you like you were the most beautiful thing in the world. When he carried you to the bed when you fell asleep.
Thinking about it just made your heart race and mind fuzzy.
~~~
Today was the day you tell Tsireya and Kiri about your crush on Aonung. You didn’t know how they react, Tsireya being his sister and Kiri being not that fond of him.
Arriving at school you walk up to your friend group and take a deep breath.
“Hey guys..” you were greeted with hi and good morning from the two, but they could tell something was up.
“What’s wrong Y/N you seem a little off today” Kiri nodded her head at Tsireya’s words.
“Well.. I have something to tell you guys, I think I like Aonung, and I don’t know, I’ve just haven’t gotten my mind off of him and my heart beats faster when he’s around and my palms get all sweat-“
You were cut off
“Oh girl we already knew that!!”
Kiri was laughing “Yeah Y/N you can’t be more obvious, don’t think we didn’t see you leave with him at the sleep over”
You hid your face in embarrassment
“Really??? You knew????”
“Yeah girl, we were just waiting for you to realize and tell us”
The three of you talked and joked about your little crush and came up with ways to tell him, you got information from Tsireya and out what he likes and where he spends his time, and Kiri offered to ask Roxto what he thinks of you.
Basically you were overwhelmed with support and suggestions, and glad to have such amazing friends.
~~~
Aonung’s POV
He was down bad. But he was in denial.. big big denial.
He didn’t think that he could ever have such strong feelings for someone, but you and getting to know you, having someone stand up to him and be so confident and sweet at the same time. You made he day just seeing your face.
“What? What do I think of Y/N?” He asked confused looking at his best friend.
“Yeah dude, do you think she’s cute? Do you like her?” Roxto asked trying to make it seem like a normal convo and not him actually being set up by Kiri.
Aonung was nervous, he didn’t want to admit his true feelings, nor did he want anyone to know that he likes someone. It was embarrassing and it would give people a reason to kick him off his high horse.. is what he thought.
“Why would I like Y/N? She’s rude and always finds a way to get under my skin.”
Roxto look taken aback by this answer.
“Woah dude is that how you feel for real?”
Aonung was hesitant, than sighed giving in
“Well, truth is, she’s amazing and kind but won’t let people walk all over her, Y/N is such an amazing person.. I can’t take my mind off of her.”
Roxto was extra shocked about this answer, not being used to him sharing this much. But before he could reply he looked over Aonung’s shoulder and saw Y/N speed walking away looking upset. Knowing she at least heard some of the conversation, he pointed “Dude…”
Aonung looked behind him seeing you in the distance looking distraught, walking away from them.
“Oh I really messed this up.” Aonung looked worried looking and your disappearing figure, knowing he had to make things right.
~~~
Your POV
You were walking out of class, when you noticed Roxto and Aonung talking in the hall, You we’re going to say hi when you overheard thier conversations
“What do i think about Y/N?”
“Yeah dude, do you think she’s cute? Do you like her?”
“Why would I like Y/N? She’s rude and always finds a way to get under my skin.”
….
Your heart sank, all you could do was walk away, you felt numb and didn’t know what to do. Everything around you seemed to disappear and you just wanted to get away.
How could he say that? We’re you that bad to him? You thought it was just childish banter.. did the sleep over mean nothing? Does he really not like me? All these thoughts were running through your mind as you went to the next period, luckily it was your last. Honestly you didn’t think you could get through the rest of the school day.
That night you just put your phone on do not disturb and cried, you feel asleep listening to music that made you feel better, not knowing how you were going to face anyone tomorrow.

i want to know you. human! neteyam x reader (highschool AU)
the eyes that could look only at you. (chapter five- finale)
aah thank u all for ur love and support on the series!! please leave ideas on what to write next :-)))
previous chapter…
you shut the door in his face, knowing the last thing you needed was to see the face of the guy you had once admired more than anyone in the world, and the one who single-handedly shattered your expectations for love with one action. you pressed your back to the door, hoping he would just leave it alone and you could forget about this whole thing.
“(yn), i know you are in there. you cannot ignore me forever! it was a misunderstanding, she pushed herself on me. i do not want her, i could only want you. you have to believe me…” he sounded genuine about it, but your trust in him had been slaughtered. how could you even look at him, when that face you once loved had been all over the face of another?
“i…i ran after you immediately. she means nothing to me. do you not know how much i adore you? please… speak with me eventually. i’ll wait for you.” he said sadly. you could hear the pain and grief in his voice. as he just began to walk away, you meekly opened the door. “do you mean it?” you asked. he turned around and looked you directly in your eyes, his vision focusing solely on you.
“i only have eyes for you, i promise.” he walked up to your doorstep, looking at you with love and affection. he reached out to hold your hand, gently, and you accepted, even if you were scared. somehow being im his embrace meant you felt no longer fearful of what the future held in love. holding his hand made you realize that you were safe, and that everything would be alright. you felt at peace for once, being with the boy you had grown to adore more as the days went on.
——timeskip to a couple years forward——
you all had grown up so well, with you and neteyam becoming inseparable. you had become the best of friends and best of lovers, as you knew everything about him from his favorite color, to the birthmark on his left calf. as did he for you. you all had shared so many moments and so many memories, from dearly intimate ones to loss and grief together.
but today was the day you would part for a while, until the day you would come to reunite. neteyam was graduating, and you were a year behind. this hurt you, to see him walking across that stage without him, as he progressed on to his next stage of life. but you knew everything would be alright. you would come join him at college in the spring, bringing back the dynamic duo.
“my love, i have accomplished many things during my time with you.” he spoke softly as he gently held your hand and looked in your eyes. “me too, ‘teyam… i’ll miss you a lot.” you were tearing up, and he hated when you were sad, so he went to wipe them from your eyes that were growing red and puffy. “but do you know what my greatest accomplishment is?” he asked you sweetly, staring into your eyes with nothing but love.
“it was getting to know you.” he said, and this time, you knew that everything would be okay in this moment, and for the ones that would follow.
this wasn’t goodbye, and you were sure of that. no more maybe.
**end**
thank you for reading!!

i want to know you. human!neteyam x reader (highschool AU)
a feeling that can no longer be described as comfort. (chapter four)
nearing the end of the series!! i hope you all enjoyed :-)
previous chapter…
it had been a couple weeks since your time at the mall with him. since then, you had grown to understand and know the boy, and had a newfound admiration for him. he would walk you to and from classes, make you laugh when you were upset, and say things that would make your heart race without even knowing it.
overall though, you were still unsure on how he felt about you. sure, he would say and do all these things, but did he truly harbor feelings for you? you didn’t want to get the wrong idea, so you asked your friends about it. tsireya and lo’ak were doing well for themselves, being known as one of the most happy couples in the school.
so you called her over to your house on the weekend. you didn’t want to include kiri in this, as much as you hated leaving her out, but you didn’t want to bother her with love problems between her best friend and brother. “oh ‘reya… what should i do?” you said, full of despair and confusion. “if i talk to him straightforwardly, won’t he feel weirded out?? what if i’m misreading the entire situation…” you sighed.
“my (yn)nie… i don’t like seeing you so stressed, you know? i get that you like him… but you’re amazing and he’s stupid if he can’t see that.” she said, patting your head to provide you support. as much as you loved your friends, you seemed to always be the odd one out. tsireya had lo’ak, kiri had her boyfriend from her old town called spider, and you just...had no one.
was it you? were you simply unlovable? you couldn’t understand why everyone seemed to be in love but you. sure, you weren’t the most perfect person on the planet, but no one was. why should you have to jump over hoops for someone to see you? you were so unhappy feeling like this, so you wanted to get your feelings out on the table. confirmed or denied. the worst he could do is say no.. right? oh… how wrong you were.
thanking tsireya for her time and walking her home, you began thinking about the best ways to confess your feelings for him. you wanted to be understood for once, so you had to get your point across clearly. you didn’t think you had it in you to speak to him directly, and it would take you centuries to tell him everything you adored when it came to him.
so you decided on a letter. a letter could clearly express your true feelings without having to deal with the embarrassment of his personal rejection. as you wrote the letter, you started to realize just how much this meant to you. he was a beautiful soul, and you wanted nothing more than for him to return your feelings and truly see you.
today was the day that you would hand it over, handing your heart long with it. you drove with tsireya instead of riding the bus with kiri and neteyam, since you didn’t want to see him too early. you so badly wanted to let kiri in on your news, but you feared that she would react poorly, and you didn’t want to lose one of your closest companions over something that could be helped. but when you arrived at the school and walked through the door, you saw it.
he was kissing another girl.
immediately it felt like your heart had shattered into a thousand tiny pieces, not understanding why this was happening to you. did he have a girlfriend? how could you have not seen this coming? how stupid could one person be…? you stuffed the letter in the trash, running back out the door as your eyes pricked up with tears. but this was the last time you would be crying over something like this. you didn’t care if you were absent to your classes, and you didn’t care if anyone was worried about you. you just wanted to be alone, like you had been and would continue to be forever.
you ran to the park closest to your home, and started tearing up again. how could you have been so blind? of course he didn’t like you, you took it the wrong way. all you wanted to do was curl up into a ball and bury yourself in a hole. you walked home, ignoring the frequent ringing of your cellphone, the calls coming from your two closest friends. you didn’t want them to know what happened, their pity wouldn’t help in that moment.
your parents were understanding to why you arrived at home so early, thankfully. you didn’t come to school until next week, since it happened on thursday and your mom had the heart to let you skip friday. you had truly felt at a loss. you woke up from a nap to a ring from your doorbell. you jolted awake, and since your parents weren’t home, you went to go see who it was. it was him. and his presence was no longer comforting.
maybe it wouldn't have been so wrong to slam the door in his face.

“Why can’t we love each other” Ch.2
Tumblr media
Human!bully!Aonung x Reader (Highschool AU)
Warnings: None!
It seem like he’s getting more and more annoying by the day but… he can be.. endearing?
Pt.1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been a few weeks since you and Aonung’s first encounter. What you thought would be a “one time thing” of your first incident has become a common part of your daily schedule. He used to just crack a couple funny insults in the hallway as you walked pass each other, but now he’ll find you at your locker or outside of classes just to walk with you and make some rude comments, most in a teasing manner.. but you do admit some of them do hurt your feelings. Now you don’t just take them, obviously you insult him back. Most of the time feeling as though you win your little bickering sessions.
~~~
During your time here at school though you have made quite the abundance of friends, even meeting some of Kiri’s siblings and growing quite fond of them. You met Lo’ak because he asked to cheat off of your homework during one of your classes, and Neteyam being in the grade above you, met through Aonung surprisingly. They’re both in the same grade and he offered you to join “The Sully Family Study Sessions” when talking about how some of the quiz questions didn’t make much sense. You also had some other acquaintances like Roxto, he’s usually always around Aonung but you two met through Kiri when he’s occasionally sit next to her at lunch.
~~~
-present day-
~~~
Sleepover.
Tsireya invited you and Kiri to a sleep over. She sounds very excited, but surprisingly she’s never hosted one and really wants the two of you to come.
“You all should come to my house on Friday for a slumber party, it will be so fun. I’ll make snacks and we can watch movies and paint our nails and do hair..” she was still going on talking about everything she wanted to do for activities, it sounded really fun but you had to ask your mom before anything.
“I’ll see if I can go, I’ll have to ask my mom first though!” You gave her the honest answer not wanting to get her hopes up but not shooting them down either. Kiri added on saying “Same I have to ask my parents, but as long as we host a sleepover not at my house I’m willing to go.. I have too many siblings that’ll butt in if I bring guest.”
~~~
-time skip-
~~~
When you got to Tsireya’s house (which thankfully you mom let you go) you were a little nervous, this wasn’t your first sleep over… but seeing Aonung outside of school made you excited. You didn’t know why but you’ve always felt like you had a little crush on him.. NOT that you had one.. he only made your heart flutter every time he’d walk with you to class, or you’d get giddy anytime he’d look at your eyes, but he’s a big bully you could never love. You shook those thoughts away knocking on the door.
Thankfully for you Tsireya opened the door and Kiri was already inside setting down a popcorn bucket.
“Welcome to my house Y/N!! I’m so excited you’re here, Kiri only got here like 10 minutes ago so you didn’t miss out on anything, please come in! I’ll show you my room where you can set your things” you smile saying your greeting to them and follow Tsireya upstairs while Kiri picks the movies you’ll be watching downstairs.
When you got up there you walked by a room wide open, it was kinda messy but not too bad, you assumed it was Aonung’s room since you walked passed it.
Entering Tsireya’s room, it was very tidy and neat compared to her brother’s, she had a candle on and had lights and some plants decorating it.
“Alrighty this is my room, you can set you stuff down here and I’ll be downstairs, come down when you’re ready!” She left the room heading downstairs when you placed your belongings down. You heard a flush coming from the upstairs bathroom and a sink running, you started to semi panic hoping it was just her mom or dad, but to your dismay you see Aonung pass by the room.
He catches a glimpse of you and makes a U-turn back to where he saw you.
You stand there a little awkwardly and wave saying hello.
“Oh you finally are here. When Tsireya said she had guests I assumed you were one of them. Of course she invites the weirdest friends she has here.” He states
“Yeah whatever, just try not to bother us too much yeah?” He rolls his eyes
“Me? Please. Just keep it down and we won’t have problems yeah?” He said mocking you. Now it was your turn to roll you eyes.
You shoo him off and he lifts his hands up walking backwards into his room smirking, then closing the door. You sighed in annoyance shrugging your shoulders.
~~~
Later that night you couldn’t sleep, you didn’t really know why but you’ve always had some trouble in new environments when it had to do with going to bed.
So you got up making sure to stay quiet as you exited.
Waking through the hallway you felt a presence watching you. Though you ignored it walking down stairs, hoping you’d get tired out by walking around a bit, their house is pretty big. As you reach the kitchen you hear a “Ahem” and jump turning around seeing Aonung.
“Eywa! You scared the shit out of me” he laughed looking down at your figure.
“What are you doing up walking around? Couldn’t sleep?” He said obviously sarcastically but you nod you head
“As a matter of fact, yes, I could not sleep.”
He clicked his tongue sighing. He motioned you to follow him, and you did.
You both walked up to his room, he pulled up a chair from his counter sitting on it pointing at his bed so you can sit there, that obviously being the more comfortable option. You decided to speak up being a little confused but also being not so sure you want to be on his bed.
“I don’t know there might be some undiscovered diseases on there”
He looked at you unamused
“Just get on the bed weirdo”
You go up to the bed, it actually being quite clean, while you lay on it he grabs a remote putting on the tv for you two to watch.
“I put on *favorite tv show* because you never stop talking about it when I see you with my sister” He sounded annoyed, but you find it quite sweet that he paid that much attention.
“Aw you actually listen to me when I talk?” You say making fun of him
“It’s not like i can’t, you’re so loud that i can barely hear myself think when I’m in a 100 mile radius from you.” He retorts, you laugh and he smiles a little.
Throughout most of the night goes by like a blur, you guys talked and watched shows for a while until you ended up falling asleep on his bed.
When you woke up in the morning you weren’t in Aonung’s room but rather in Tsireya’s sleeping where you were originally at. You wondered if he’d carry you here, more over if that interaction was even real.
Soon when you were leaving because your mom was picking you up, you were saying goodbye to everyone when Aonung came downstairs walking up to you. Leaning in your ear he whispered
“I had fun last night” you looked at him in shock. Raising his head he said
“You’re a little lighter than I thought you’d be hm?” You pushed him playful
“Bye Aonung.” You waved him off leaving the house
Smiling to yourself all of the way home.
