I didn’t know what yuri or shipping was when I was 11 and watching avatar for the first time but what did know is that I was obsessed with the idea of katara and azula getting trapped in a survival situation together . I would plan out scenarios and think about what they’d unpack mommy trauma wise while there and maybe sometimes I pictured them kissing. Whatever. Not that you’d understand.

Explaining my never ending pool of sympathy for azula voice like no you don’t understand . She’s like if one of the cloth mother wire mother monkeys picked the food from wire mother not because she was hungry for food, but because she was starved for love that cloth mother wasn’t capable of giving despite being so soft. She’s like if that monkey feed from wire mother so long the pokey metal frame becomes a comfort. She’s like if that monkey looked down on the other monkeys for seeking comfort from cloth mother, because she’s so strong and mature for preferring the hard metal body of wire mother. She’s like if one of the cloth mother wire mother monkeys was gaslighting itself.
