Do you doubt the devils affection?

I find it funny that some will doubt the devils for their affection to you and only seeing you as Solomon's descendant or a rare human.

When they have the right to ask you "You doubt us, but what about you? We devils don't doubt, but you humans do. My question is, do you know us in depth? And not just see us for our body?"

Devils in WHB, with few exception can't doubt (which are Leviathan and Orias who were experimented and done horrible things on them that yeah, they would fucking learned how to doubt and not trust others)

The way I see it, the devils are more honest with their feelings than us humans, and people mistake it as them only objectifying MC just for sex.

But there are moments with in the main story where MC ask them directly "Do like me just because I'm Solomon's descendant?" Satan said yeah, that's the starting point but in turned more than that, Mammon said it that He fell in love with us at first sight in his H scene, and Leraye told us that he wants to move on, and when the war is over. He would like to walk down the street of Gehenna, hold each others hands.

Not to mention what happens in the L card stories (Looks at Beelzebub's card stories) and see that, these devils does care for MC.

Back to Satan, he literally said to Solomon in Ch 1

And with Sitri, I would have a problem if not for that fact that most of the other characters points out his Delusion. Which makes it as a running gag and a quirk with him. (Unless we will come back to that later for his development down the line)

murmur and headcanons: + The censer is referenced from the church style, which are used irl on the Sunday mass. I like the chiming when the pastor using it, though they sound a little bit ear-piercing. (i'm not sure if it is okay to speak the name so specifically) However, most of them are designed in full of carvings beautifully, so I lowered the density of the carving in order to show the mirror effect in purpose. + Sydney and PC will go for the purification ever month. The specialist may feel disappointed of how corrupted has Sydney been and take it out on them. That is the reason of why they left the scars. Both of them are enjoy to it with no regrets.

Unfocused Rambling about Eden (DoL)

Eden doesn't just Stockholm Syndrome the player character, he can also afflict it on the player. Case in point: me. I know he gives off serial killer vibes. I know he's a dirty man who lives in the woods. I know he's buddies with Bailey. He's got all the standard problems that DoL LI's have: such as being a lowkey yandere, a kidnapper, being toxic as hell, general dubcon/noncon, being sex crazed, and literally putting the player character in a cage.

And YET-

And YET I feel relieved to see him, because he's the only one that rescues the player character routinely. He picks them up when they pass out in the street. He saves them from The Asylum and The Farm. He rescues them in the woods. His house is one of the few places that Bailey can't chase you down to make you pay up each week (because they have some sort of agreement). You can stay there for weeks without anyone bothering you. As a player, from a gaming perspective, he is immensely useful. He's a get out of jail free card, in a game that doesn't have many.

So then you start relying on him, because he's useful.

But the more time you spend with him, the more you see the softer side. He reads to you in the evenings and blushes if you make him read the romantic parts. He will dance with you to the radio. He forces you to make breakfast but he makes dinner so it's fair. He takes you on walks around the lake, and helps you gather food from the forest. He will listen to you talk about whatever you want. He even teaches you to shoot, though you could use that against him. But no matter how close to him you get, a prompt will appear that says he is lonely. He is probably aware that you stay with him somewhat out of obligation, partly because you feel you don't have a choice. All of those soft, sweet moments don't really change your situation or your power dynamic. So even when he's done what he can to break you down and then try to get close to you, he still can't truly have you. But he has no one else who is as close to him as you are. He wants no one else.

I can't say that he is good (very few of the LI's are), but in a town of characters far worse than him I can say that he's one of my favorites. He is very interesting as a character. And yes, perhaps that is all fake because of the Stockholm Syndrome. But even if it is fake, there are so many miserable things that happen to the player character in the game. I want them to be happy, even for just a moment. And when they are dancing with Eden, they seem happy.

YKMET Progress

I've been rather quiet about my work lately haven't I? Well, I'm happy to report that I've just finished the coded script for Strade's remix [ YKMET ]. This means that the game is basically functional- but of course there's still a lot of work to be done! I'm about to begin with the sketch placeholders for the art, and the art always takes the longest for my games.

The script came out a bit longer than I anticipated. I knew it was going to be somewhat larger, but the script is more than twice as long as Strade's original path already, and I haven't even put in any of the image coding. I still have some framework coding to be done as well, things that will be easier once I have some artwork in place [ like the CG gallery for example ].

I can't provide a release date this early in the process yet, but I hope to get the next phases done in around a year- but it really depends on how much art I'll ultimately need and how long it'll take to draw it all.

But in general, I feel like production is going very well :)
