Girls will be like “oh I’m just running quick some errands” and then spend all day in the wetlands appreciating the unique flora and fauna

After 2 months of total chaos, and about 9-12 months of a general uneasy energy (I feel like I’ve been tripping over myself, trying to catch up, desperate for rest)— I’m starting to feel a sense of grounding in my own being. A sense of acceptance for where I am and rather than panicking over the uncertainty, embracing the opportunity to recreate myself with greater intention and authenticity.

Really… everything I felt was coming my way has been coming my way, its just brought some discomfort with it, and that’s fine. Its worth it. That’s how we grow.

it was my bday a few days ago and I’m really feeling the love. One of my friends took the day off to go to Detroit with me. The band got me cookies and flowers. My parents got me some camping gear that’ll come in super handy this summer. And everyone has just been so nice and sweet. It feels good to be celebrated in small ways and loved in my ordinary-ness.

I’ve got two violins at the shop right now for repair. One was quoted $100 and was considered the “lesser value” violin, but is prettier, comes with a hard case, and is a Japanese model made right around or just after WWII. The other is newer, likely a student violin, valued higher and quoted $120 for repair, but comes with a broken case and is more generic-looking. I’m trying to figure out if I just want to get one or the other repaired, or spring for both, test them out to see which I like best and try to sell the other one? Idk… will probably do the latter. I am very pleasantly surprised that both estimates were lower than I had anticipated. Excited to have a new instrument to practice either way.

i also just bought a guitar! It was the cheapest classical guitar in the store but it felt like fate- my favorite color wood, a beautiful inlay, small body, and a gorgeous warm tone. Her name is Willoughby :)

i dont necessarily feel sick any more but something is definitely off. My stomach is a little questionable. But I seriously feel like I could sleep all day and night and THEN i would be rested.

wishing today was Friday. I still have to do my taxes tonight and another day of work tomorrow 😩 so so sleepy

I'm only like 5 pages into Di Seuss's new book Modern Poetry and like damn. She's eating.

woke up with a gross feeling in my body. a little sick, a little empty. I need to take better care of myself.
